What is a Thundercat
Date of Scene: 09 May 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Tygra, Cyberdragon, Phoenix, Invisible Woman

Tygra has posed:
Two days now Tygra has been dealing with the aftereffects of waking up from prolonged stasis, his pod was obliterated by the plummet to earth and he is lucky to have survived. Emergency rations will only last so. Survival training and instincts were kicking in at first for Tygra, check his inventory and then scope the environment.

Scouting the terrain revealed a lot. This even against the odds of landing on a planet he can breath on let alone survive on, hes already killed two ducks and a pheasant. Game exists. Even more startling is the discovery of a road it is empty, cracked and the point he found was gated off but this spoke volumes, sentient life exists or existed here and is capable of building something as complex as a road, maybe they're dead now it was overgrown or maybe they're just not using it any longer?

Tygra spent the morning thinking on this and is now retreating to his hideaway. It is not far off from his pod which he hid away in foliage and nature's debris.

Tygra's return trip is interrupted by the *crack* and he stops moving entirely, his bolowhip reflexively snapping in to his hand. "By Jaga... " He whispers to himself, maybe it is one of the others? Excitement fills him and he can feel the rush beat through his ears, a quick paced movement underneath the canopy of treses has him closing in on the source.

Cyberdragon has posed:
Stealth is more than just blending into the environment, it's about movement and patiences. And right now in the Huntsinger Forest Preserve John Coltan is doing his best to hunt and stalk some deer. Cyber his companion the Suit that he is merged with is doing his best to coach him on patients and being slow and steady. His goal is not to kill the buck he is stalking, more to touch it before it notices him.

So right now he is creeping through the trees, his red and black form not hiding him well in the branches in the deeper areas of the forests. as he carefully moves on his hands and feet in the branches slowly trying to maintain slowness, as the biomechanical dragon like creature has spotted his prey. A handsome buck. With John slowly trying to creepdown the tree truck on his hands and feet it is disorienting, but that is the point as he tries ever so softly to avoid making a noise, then there is a sudden crack and the bark under his weight gives way and he tumbles down hitting the forest floor with a great crash... as he lays there having lost his prey... "Oh for the love of..." John says through the suit.

Thankfully the ability to perceive Bio electrical fields around him through Cyber is incredibly valuible out to several hundred meters, out here most things that are alive, from the squirrels to birds are easy to detect. People more so. In a City it is harder for such fields to be detected as individual threats or people, the mass of energy just blends together. But in the forest, Cyberdragon is very hard to sneak up upon but he stretches getting the crick out of his back as those feathered wings open up to the full twenty five feet lifting up and then down as the blood red with black tiger strips are snaped down revealing the reptilian like creature to the Thundarian. the long tail tipped with a bladed edge that is jagged and cruel looking. The crest of Horns as he rolls his neck about.

Phoenix has posed:
In the grown-over remnants of a schoolhouse, Jean sits in silence and lets the subtle patterns of the Preserve's inhabitants ripple through her consciousness. It's been an hour, maybe two-- she lost track some time ago, having settled in to meditate after a morning of hiking. Plenty of time for the calls and rustlings surrounding her to melt into the background, a natural rhythm thrumming beneath the psychic landscape.

A natural rhythm readily interrupted by *CRASH!* of a dragon.

Green eyes snap open. Heat builds, only to subside with a sharp intake of air as Jean rises-- first to her feet, and then from the weed-infested floor, zipping through a hole in the roof to course through the Preserve in search of the disturbance. A little fire licks across her form as she goes, burning away hiking clothes to leave form-fitting green and gold in its wake. She isn't going fast enough to make a boom, but her wake sets treetops rustling and small animals scattering-- and thanks to her angle, she's seemingly bearing down on Tygra just as much as she is John.

Tygra has posed:
".." Tygra stops as he inhales; golden eyes wide and fear creeps through him, empowers him. A warrior he knows how to harness such things in to a cold focus. The bolowhip unravels and twists in the air then circles around Tygra's green armored form, he fades. or should fade from sight. An invisiblity technique that relies heavily on convincing others he just is not there. An illusion something the Dragon should be able to pierce if his mind isn't vulnerable and something Jean Grey can push through if she tries. She has considerably more proficiency in the Mind Tricks department.

"I have been tricked. I am still on New Thundara? A new weapon of Mumm-ra are you? Let us fight then, mutant." Thundrian dialect of the Galactic Standard where he comes from, it may or may not be English. Likely not. Perhaps a language translator is needed or a telepath. Who knows. Tygra is jumping high and landing on a tree branch, not once, but twice. Moving as he speaks to distract from his actual location. He is under the assumption he is fully cloaked, however.

Cyberdragon has posed:
As the Dragon like creature stands there he shakes himself out, he is unaware of the sudden approach of One Jean Grey. And of course her form flying through the trees is soon detected and it takes him by surprise. But so is Tygra, Tygra's illusion is able to effect John's mind. Cyber is not so easy to food as his mind is the bridge between organic and technological. Alerting John to the Bioelectrical field behind him. And then he looks to the direction of where the flying woman is, and then he looks behind him. Right in the direction Tygra is coming from. John can't see anything physically there, which means something has a cloaking field, invisibility power?

And instantly he realizes that instantly he is caught directly in the middle, "Oh please don't let this end up in a fight, I was hoping to have one nice day in the preserve." he says in english. He has no knowledge of intergalactic common. So even if Tygra speaks to him he isn't going to understand. For that matter neither will Cyber who knows only Earth languages. Right now he is debating taking to the sky...

Phoenix has posed:
Since Jean is reasonably sure that biomechanical dragons aren't native to the greater Metropolis area, her first sight of the creature puts her immediately on edge and is followed closely by a pink field shimmering into being around her. Swinging in to hover a few feet away from him - as much as the treetops will allow - her eyes begin to dart across his form in search of obvious structural flaws before abruptly pausing as-- someone says-- some//thing//-- from some//where//-- in the upper boughs.

"Look," she calls out, somewhere between resolute and exasperated as her head swivels in search of the mystery speaker, "if this is some kind of invasion situation - some, I dunno, Invisible Tyrant And His Metal Steed nonsense--"

Oh, so the metal-clad dragon creature //speaks//. In //English//.

"-- okay, different kind of nonsense; got it," she murmurs a beat after having abruptly stopped herself to squint down at Cyber. "You're-- probably? Fine? We just..."

Her eyes close as she trails off and descends to land near Cyberdragon, who she's //reasonably// confident isn't going to shift from begging off from a fight to attempting to devour her. Along the way, she tries to sink back into the flow of the Preserve, only to find her consciousness brushing up against something like a veil wrapped meticulously about it, clouding her senses.

"... need... oh, that's clever-- listen, I'm not going to //hurt// you, so this... //thing// you're doing: not really necessary," she calls out to the invisible man while trying to find a way through the veil.

Tygra has posed:
A flaming birdwoman and a dragon. Tygra has not heard of any of the Thundercats or their allies tangling with either of these two recently, maybe he is dreaming? No. Their time aboard the ship fleeing New Thundera was very real.
Trying to find a sense of calm he steels himself and remains crouched. Their language is lost to him. It sounds like it should almost be familiar but it is not, the Safari man, he spoke something close to this once as well. That was a while ago and very very far away, the length of travel the Thunderians made also means they may have been in space for YEARS, who knows how long. HE doesn't. The pod and most of it's contents excluding him are thrashed.

They don't see him but they're trying to communicate. The woman is at least? Maybe she and the Dragon are enemies? Not enough intel. Not enough at all. and his cloaking will not work.

((I do not wish to fight. Tell me where I am!)) Yelled in Thunderian. He moves again actually landing on the ground and stepping behind another thicker squater tree. The whip in collapsed state gripped in one hand while his laser pistol is drawn in the other. Invisibility will end soon and they'll have an easier time finding him. He has to decide a course of action soon. Fight or flee. Maybe this can be peaceful. He doubts it.

Cyberdragon has posed:
as he sighs, "No no danger no invasion I think... I was just enjoying the preserve. I'm... a long story." Still Cyber and john are looking around as he uses that vision of his and as he looks to the exact location that Tygra is in he will then open his arms palms up and he bows his head wides laid low. A sign of greetings in some ancient cultures. Both hands shown, open and exposed to show no harm his meant. He's hoping the display is enough to bring the stranger out as he says, "He is speaking no language I have ever heard and I know a lot." he says

When the Tiger man appears Cyberdragon will spot in detail the being and says, "Mutant? no somethings off about him." and Still the dragon will go to one knee and keeps his hands open. A sign he has no desire to fight. An act of submission?

Invisible Woman has posed:
    Right about now, A hovercar with an emblazoned '4' on the side hovers on by and....lands right in the open. The door opens and out steps Sue Richards with a strange looking device. "You sure that anamoly is around here, Reed?" She says looking over the car and.....tilting her head. "Ooookay, there's two here." She then closes the door and looks to Tygra and Cyberdragon. "I'd call them weird, but...well." She then waves to Jean. 'hello there."

Phoenix has posed:
The invisible man yells something else. No attack has come - yet - but yelling is generally a bad sign so far as that goes.

"Well," Jean says in a small, distant voice, "Maybe..."

Her eyes slit and she approaches Cyberdragon at a brisk pace, "... I can..." right hand extending to smack against his flank.

"... do something about that."

Tygra and Cyberdragon's minds stand out starkly amidst the simpler psyches of the woods, even if Tygra's illusory technique is still doing the job so far as baffling her other senses goes. It should be all she needs to keep her promise, though, and the last word is punctuated by a brief, but intense rush of emotional and surface-psyche content as she tries to link the three minds in astral communion.

If it works, Cyberdragon and Tygra will find themselves - partially - in an abandoned schoolhouse dominated by towering overgrowth with Jean facing them from behind a desk, like an auxillary reality layered over the Preserve.

"Okay, so: let's try this again," she thinks. "My name is-- Phoenix; if either of you's maybe considering murdering anyone else in this 'room', maybe go ahead and think up-- "

"Aah!" Jean starts aloud, the Fantasticar's approach having been missed amidst the establishment of her psi-conference. Her hands come up as she whips towards the newcomer, only to lower once she sees the familiar-from-Youtube symbology. "Uhhh, hi," she replies with half-opened, glassy eyes.

Tygra has posed:
The posture of the dragon actually has Tygra step out now. Fully visible to the others with the invisibility cloak released, a weapon in each hand. ((Dragon and woman, I am going to put my weapons away. Let us find a way to comm... )) The flying vehicle puts him back in to a defensive posture, actually back flipping upwards and in to the tree again crouched there as claws bite in to the tree's bark, ensuring his purchase. His lips curled back to show sharpened teeth.

Then... he is staring at Jean again only behind a desk and he can't percieve her thoughts. Telepathic? A mind technique. He is not unfamiliar with these but never at this level. Sue Storm's approaching Fantasticar is still a thought, it's directly on his mind and that is all that is appearing in this melding of minds with him. Awe, an overlaying thought of the flying car, preparation and distrust. Also he has calculated or tried to figure on ways he can smoothly take each of them down or distract them and escape in a run.

Cyberdragon has posed:
As the Psychic merger is done, it takes a moment, as John is bewildered, his form is that of a young man. in his mid teens and then he instantly hears a voice one that is echoed here one that he hears externally. One that is shocked and clearly offended, "Telepath!" The voice enough to make the young man grab his head and he calls out, "Cyber no!" as if he knew something would happen!

John's other half, the Cybernetic suit acording to what Sue will see will have brough that tail up as the suit react attempting to have strike Jean Grey in the head to stun her, but the blow with the flat of the tail blade never connects.

The Dragon shas his teeth bared at Jean. Psychic attack is the one thing Cyber can not protect against as John is fully in the merge of it as he looks around. Still the dragon is poised moving around ready to knock jean out if he has to to protect his host.

The issue is the merger is causing his synce with Cyber to drop rapidly but it stabilizes. but it's clear on the outside the dragon is having issues in his movement, they are jerky, sluggish.

In the school house, "What's going on?" John asks, clearly more a boy than a man in the vision. "What are the fantastic four doing here?"

Invisible Woman has posed:
    Sue tilts her head to Jean, then at Cyberdragon and....starts to put a shield when the dragon calms down. "Talk about strange." she says tapping on a device to look at Cyberdragon, then Tygra when he steps out more fully.

"Reed detected an anamoly out here, but he can't leave the lab." She says to Jean, even as jean is concentrating on communication. Sue isn't that psychic, but from Youtube, Jean would know she has a very strong defense against all forms of attacks, if short lived.

She continues her scans, even of Tygra, but she taps the device. "Man, Alpha waves are off the charts." She then turns towards jean and...."Oh, yeah. You must be part of Xavier's School." She says casually before turning towards Tygra with the device. 'And you......aren't from around here...are you?" She says as she starts to walk back towards to the Fantasticar. She's a bit too casual in this setting. it's scary.

Tygra has posed:
Pink skinned humanoids are appearing all around him, even the dragon seems to be connected to them. Tygra is frowning, lips still curled back and he isnt sure how to respond, the translation of telepathy in to speech/image/thought is alien to him but he is understanding Jean and John now, enough of it. Sue outside of the mind-merge ? He isnt entirely sure. Tygra is confused and it is clear, even as they speak his thoughts and intentions of dropped towards retreat.

Steadying himself Tygra places his weapons away. Or at least he think she does? His body does put them away. His mind likewise sheathes in sync. I am Tygra. A Thundercat and I come in peace.

The urge to defend Jean when the Cyberdragons more violent self swings is there but also so is self-preservation and some level of intelligence, what if this is how they are? What if they are natural enemies? Could be he engaging in something that would be offensive to both if he tried to stop it? No. The mind-merge is giving him extra, helping him understand a little.

Phoenix has posed:
In the schoolhouse, burning wings unfold from Jean's back as she locks eyes with Tygra and protective instincts flare.

{{Don't!}} she exclaims, caught between his preparatory thoughts and the Cyberdragon's violent instincts. She shows him empty palms, then, and gives him a moment to register them before adding, {{You're safe! I promise! Who are you? Just-- think the answer-- !}}

In the Preserve, her arms are crossed protectively in front of her body as the pink field she flew in with brightens, ready to absorb a blow that never quite comes-- or, perhaps, hasn't come yet.

"'kay," is all the response she can muster when Reed is mentioned; between the 'dragon and the Tygra and the schoolhouse, she's got quite a bit on her plate at the moment. "Yeah. Field trip. This is maybe safe? Trying to talk-- touch me if you want to help."

{{Something about an anomaly? She's probably investigating, ah, this.}}

Cyberdragon has posed:
John's not the violent one but he is concerned, he knows that Cyber is trying to extract himself from the contact and John's mental focus is enough to la finally make Cyber just stop in his tracks. Something about the merger is making him lock up more and finally Cyberhas to stop or risk ejection as the blow never came. But the dragon doesn't look happy on the outside.

Finally John's focus is in the school house as he says. "My companion Cyber is just concerned for my safety. He thought it was an attack." There is no joined mind between them. but there is a presense. "I'm guessing if I keep coming to the preserve. I'm Cyberdragon, And other than the mind meld here I am not sure. I was out in the forests practicing my stealth, I am guessing my fall from the tree attracted the both of you to my location?"

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "Whereis that universal translator Reed rigged up. ugh. He must be working on it back in that lab of his." Sue says as she comes out of the car. "All right. Let's do this another way." She says scanning Jean again with the device. "Hmmm.....Touch you, huh? All right." She says as she gently touches Jean's shoulder.

And is sync-ed up rather quickly to the classroom. "Well...that explain a lot of things." Sue is her normal self. Not in the fantastic four outfit, but in a pair of capris, and a button up shirt casually buttoned. Confidence is apparent in her form as she looks to Jean. "the...Phoenix. That...explains the alpha waves from you. She then looks to them all. "I'm Susan Storm-Richards of the Fantastic Four, whether or not you've heard of me, I know...." And she points to Tygra and John. "....that you." meaning to Tygra. "....aren't from around here, and your armor..." She points to John. ".....isn't from around here." She then looks to Jean.

Cyberdragon has posed:
As John just gives up at this point as she sees him shake his head, and the Hard truth of thinking your answers. It's not like speaking them, they are already spoke here without forethought. as he just gives a sigh. "Yes Cyber's not from Earth. he's been on earth for roughly twenty thouse years. Tony Stark is already examining me, and Cyber to make sure he is not a danger. In additon Tony Stark and Pepper potts have assumed legal guardianship of me to help make sure I am safe."

He says bluntly. and then he realizes what hwe said. Did he just say that Tony Stark and Virginia Potts are his legal guardians?

Why yes yes he did. "Oh for the love of... they wanted to keep that secret to keep me safe from stark's enemies."

Phoenix has posed:
"What the hell is a Thundercat?" Jean blurts aloud before quietly groaning and knuckling at her temple.

{{Ah, hi, Tygra,}} she then thinks. The burning wings vanish as his weapons go away, and the battle-hardened readiness for action that accompanied them fades too. {{I'm gonna go ahead and approach physical-you, and then we're gonna shake hands.}}

And so she does, arms falling as she slowly approaches Tygra to offer a traditional Earth greeting. Sue catches her as she plants herself just a few feet from the alien; as promised, brushing a shoulder brings the explorer-hero's psyche into the schoolhouse.

{{FKA Marvel Girl,}} is murmured when her new name is spoken, {{But, yeah.}} Nodding towards Cyberdragon, she explains, {{I was out hiking, and I heard-- yeah, something //huge// in the forest, so obviously, I went to check it out by myself. And Tygra over here,}} she gestures, as if she needs to, {{Must've been in a similar boat? He's a-- I guess from some foreign team? Like, a new one.}}

Beat.

Beat.

{{Wait,}} Jean thinks, turning her astral and physical attention upon the dragon-man.

{{//What//? How is that //not//-- okay, well, //I'm// not a tabloid reporter, so...}}

Tygra has posed:
{This is impressive... technology or power? You are acting as a relay and communication hub for all of us? Most interesting.} Tygra responds to Jean, {Why would you need to shake my hand? I can do that myself.} A custom perhaps? {Very well but I am very fast should you attempt anything.} Tygras physical self doesnt move at all. He remains exactly where he is though this handshake will be one of the most awkward ever.

{Yes. I heard John-Cyber creatures loudness and came to inspect. I am as you have figured out already not form here. I hail from Thundera...} The classroom still awes Tygra and it takes him a moment to look at Sue fully, to concentrate past all the noises in his head and natural resistances that could be confusing the link. {Greetings, Susan-Richards-Storm. I am Tygra.} He politely repeats himself as she probably didnt the earlier introductions. Oddly and respectfully enough he lets John and the others speak. The science drawn part of himself is in observation mode anyhow. Learning. Adapting.

Invisible Woman has posed:
    <<I happen to know Tony and Pepper, as Reed has helped with some of Tony's research. I'm more family to him than I am an enemy.>> Sue explain to John before looking to Jean. <<I do need to visit the Mansion one of these days and say hi to the Professor. I think he owes me a bit of tea.>> She then laughs.

<<Welcome to earth, Tygra. As for shaking her hand, it's a custom here, and I don't think she's very hostile. Thundera....it might be a name for another planet that Reed gave a different name to. If you could, come by the Four freedoms plaza and point it out for us? I'm sure Reed would be rather.....surprised. Just....make sure you refuse any 'examinations' he wants, at least at first.>>

Cyberdragon has posed:
As John sighs and then seems to collect himself some as he says. "Well seems that for the most part things are alright. Are you here alone Tygra, others of your people in the woods who might spot us and assume some form of attack seeing us like this?" Then turning to jean. "When the link breaks, Don't take Cyber's reactions personally, one of his duties is my protection. He'll hold a grudge for a while I think." he tells Jean.

"Well I am sure the techno Genius Tony Stark would love to meet you as well Tygra, for what it's worth from a young teen. Welcome to Earth. Third planet from the Star Sol."

The talk of the examinations, John says to Susan, "If Reed wants that from me, ask him to go through Tony. Tony examines me enough as is to make sure I am alright. Thankfully it's not the invasive type of examination."

Phoenix has posed:
Jean approaches Tygra, hand-extended-- and then just stands there for a few seconds. Before too long, she remembers that Tygra's looking at her twice over and thinks to curl her mouth into a welcoming smile. Smiles //must// be at least semi-universal, right? Tygra has a mouth, and all-- presumably, other-- Thunderians? Do too.

{{Power,}} she confirms, meanwhile. To Sue, she says, {{He's been real into Japanese tea ceremony lately, so I imagine he'd be thrilled,}}. There is now a low table with a teacup resting atop it in Sue, John, and Tygra's astral midst.

Turning back to Tygra, she tries to assure him by thinking, {{I'm not gonna do anything-- trust me, if I was //gonna//, this is way too much preamble. I just-- ah--}}

As Sue explains the ritual, Jean takes the initiative by bringing both hands down to try and capture one of Tygra's between them at a deliberate pace. If he doesn't recoil or otherwise demonstrate his speed, she'll then walk him through the motions: lift, slight pull back, drop, repeat three times, release.

{{Don't worry,}} she thinks Johnwards, meanwhile, {{I think I can keep us both safe, if it comes down to it.}}

Tygra has posed:
{It no longer exists.} Tygra replies to Invisible Woman. {Our second home likewise turned out to be too dangerous for us.}} He doesn't elaborate on the story there. No, that may come out in time and he has just met these Earth-people.

{{{THank you, John-Cyber-creature. Your planet so far is... beautiful.}}} He is being polite but he is not a dishonest sort. It has been so far as he has seen an appealing world.

Jean is met with some apprehesnsion at first but Tygra releases his walls and allows her to take his hand. A weighty thing capped off with sharp claws, calloused and scarred around the glove. As soon as she is done and releases he grips up her slighter hand in both of his, lift, slight pull back, drop, repeated. Release. {{{It is good to meet you.}}} He offers and his physical self does smile back. That is a rather universal action it would appear. Sharp white teeth and all.

Cyberdragon has posed:
John will come up to offer his own Handshake to Tygra. "Well We're learning to take care of our world better. So don't be surprised if you see some unpleasant surprises." John will hand a firm respectful handshake for Tygra. Maybe a little less formal.

Oh boy john gets to explain some aspects of the super heroes. "I don't know if you have masked heres on your world or in your culture, but. Well We have a number or people with special powers and abilities in our world, Tygra. Some of them use their abilities for good, others for harm. Those Superheroes sometimes wear masks do so to protect their loved ones when out of costume from reprisal of their enemies. When Seperated from my companion The Dragon like Armor. My name would be John, My full name John Coltan. But while merged the name would be Cyberdragon." he says

Invisible Woman has posed:
    Sue looks a little amused at Jean. <<Nothing like communicating with a new species, hmm? I'll remember it next time for Professor. I'll just...leave my kimono in my other room.>> She thinks wryly before looking to John. <<Reed will know that to look at Cyberdragon he'll go through stark. He'd mainly want to see what a Thundarian's race is like, species, diseases, abilities, such as that. He's primarily a researcher and a scientist. He starts with 'I don't know' and tries to find out every little detail. It was one of his miscalculations that created the fantastic four.>>

She then looks to Tygra. <<Are we helping out any with your English, Tygra? Or, if I'm right about Jean, she can give you a few basic words to work with, and pershaps communicate outside of her mind, so....there's not quite as much strain on her?>>

Phoenix has posed:
Jean's brows briefly knit when she receives tactile confirmation that the stripes aren't just for show, but she doesn't pull away; ditto when he reciprocates the gesture, and even when the fangs show. Being a humanoid cat person is maybe the most normal thing about Tygra, at least for her.

{{You, too,}} she says to Tygra with a nod. Her body takes a step backwards when John comes in with his own greeting, accompanied by a crash course on superheroics. She's perfectly content to let him handle the explanation-- as well as the dual introductions; just 'Phoenix' is fine, given that she's only familiar with one of these people, via video.

This may be why Sue and her offer receive a silent, stereo double-take accompanied by discomfort rippling through the schoolhouse and dropping its temperature by a couple degrees.

{{Yeah, sure,}} she warily thinks. Even when she continues to explain, it takes her a couple beats before her attention shifts to Tygra. {{Right now, we're post-language-- he's not hearing English, we aren't getting-- Thunderian? Tigerese? Our brains are similar enough that I can just-- make shortcuts between the parts of 'em that handle language, but it //is// a shortcut. I can do what she says, give you a crash course-- it'd be a little uncomfortable, but way more private in the long run. Fewer misunderstandings once you leave, too. It's up to you.}}

Tygra has posed:
{From experience I can say taking care of ones world is very important. I expect the unexpected.} Tygra assures John. This handshake is not like the first. Perhaps he is testing Tygra? Once John is done shaking his hand Tygra grips Johns retreating hand in both hands, lift, slight pull back, drop, repeated just as he was initially shown Jean.

To Sue he replies; {English? As eager as I am to share with a newly met alien species I hope you can forgive me for not wanting to reveal all of our... information}} Weaknesses. He thinks it loud enough Jean might hear that. He doesnt even want to reveal there may be others. He is a warrior after all and he has security precautions to think about and yet more intel to gather before he can be certain of anything they say. Thunderians have dealt with manipulative evil in the past.

{{Your superheroes sound like Thundercats. Yet we do our heroics without masks. I understand the need to protect others, Ill remember and honor this separation.}}

A defensive moment spikes through the connection and eases quickly, {{No, no this is fine. I will learn your English the traditional way or by our methods. No insult.}} This is already overwhelming enough as it is. He could only imagine what else Jean or any of these Earthians are capable of. {{What do I call your people?}}

Cyberdragon has posed:
As John says, "It might be best if you allow it. I do know of a place where you can be safe at. At least until a better idea of how to proceed is decided. I would suggest, if you are willing, to come to Stark Towers with me. Better than one of the other groups like HYDRA. Or Shield." And then he looks and says. "SHIELD is a Group that was formed... realitively recently to help protect our world from alien threats. If they Find you out here, or your technology, Well they approached me and seemed intent on wanting to examine my companion Cyber, and understand everything. Strengths, weaknesses, and I got the impression how to destroy him. I think they have their hearts in the right place byt are still figuring out things and procedure."

"Tony Stark I believe will respect you as an individual, as long as you don't pose a clear danger to anyone or the world. Once the merging was complete with me and Cyber. He treated Cyber well enough. If with a margin of suspect."

"Ah for the most part, Humans. Homo Sapians. Then there are those with special powers, who are evolved humans. The public calls them Mutants. I believe Phoenix is a Mutant. Some normal humans scared of their powers call them monsters, others it depends on one's point of view."

Invisible Woman has posed:
    <<that's....sort of what the Fantastic Four is, Tygra. We're called Superheroes, but we just agreed to use our powers to defend earth. To Reed, and myself, that means knowledge of your enemy....and your friends.>> Sue says before she looks to Jean, then Cyberdragon. "Mutants are those that are not the specified 'norm' of the rest. Those that have natural gifts that they were born with." She says gesturing to jean. "As with this young lady here, who is very gifted." She then smiles to Jean. "I'm sorry. Reed and I have had our suspicions for a while and....." She then gestures towards Jean's red hair. "Very few red heads in Professor's school. I won't tell though. Matter of fact, if You or the professor ever asked for our help, we'd be there. Promise."

She looks to Tygra. "If you wish to stay at Stark Tower, be my guest. We're just down the street in Four Freedom's Plaza. Just....Watch out for Ben Grimm. He can be a little surly, sometimes."

Phoenix has posed:
{{It's alright, I understand. Kind of a lot to process all at once,}} Jean thinks. Her body nods in Cyberdragon's direction; her astral self lays a hand on John's shoulder, having crossed the distance between blinks. He and Sue's explanations of human/mutanity get brisk nods of agreement, and she seems content to let them stand without expanding any farther.

{{There's a ton of information to take in-- if you //do// decide to find shelter with Tony Stark, or Reed Richards, either of 'em would be able to help you learn more. Maybe get in contact with your friends, too-- if that's, uh, an option, anyway. My teacher, Professor Xavier would be happy to help, too--}}

Dilapidated walls and implacable foliage melt into a winding path bordered by a carefully manicured lawn. In the distance, a stately mansion looms.

{{-- he's good at finding people,}} she finishes as an address works its way into the rest of the group's memories.

Once that's out, she turns to give Sue a small nod and softly thinks, {{We're cool, just-- careful, next time. I appreciate the offer.}}

Tygra has posed:
{Mutants are something much different where I come from.} Tygra studies Phoenix. There is an evident undertone of anger, fear, violence towards the word from him. Something she is no doubt familiar with in normal humans not from an alien feline-humanoid.

{{I must thank all of you for your welcoming. You are all very kind.}} Tygra pauses watching formation of the mansion, trying to imagine what a Four Freedoms Plaza or Stark Tower is. These are not the Lion's Lairs, nothing about them sounds familiar and his heart aches just a little. A wince crosses his psychic and physical self. {{I must decline. I cannot leave here.}} He is also distrustful but that is only one of the reasons. He is wearing emotion and thought too loudly right now, some of it may be coming out through the link. {{I am capable of handling myself should I come under threat... but i am also no fool. Not most days. Give me some time to learn of your world, of humans, your... mutant not mutants and these places you speak of. I must acclimate before I put myself in a situation where...}} He cannot run or escape. {{I may be uncomfortable and unable to focus.}}

{Perhaps we have a method of reaching one another? I can signal... if I need aid or when ready to see your world more closely.}}}

Cyberdragon has posed:
"I understand. I wasn't thrilled about the idea of simply walking into shield after my first meeting with what are total strangers who seem more interested in what you are, than who you are." John says But as he listens and thinks. "I can come out here with some communication device and I might be able to get something to help you learn the predominate language of this nation. Unless Susan has better ideas."

As he thinks. "Oh do be careful. The forest you are in is a preserve, as a rule hunting is not allowed. So be careful with how you do hunt. If you want I will try to come out here and visit you from time to time Tygra."

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "I still apologize, Jean." Sue says softly. "Speaking of apologies, feel free to come by the plaza and meet Franklin and Valeria. They'd be excited to meet someone new." She then looks to Tygra. "there's no better place to acclimatize yourself than in Xavier's school. he's a wonderful teacher himself, plus I'm sure he'd be willing to protect you as well." She starts for her car. "I'd better get these readings back to Reed." She then takes out a phone, and takes a picture of Tygra. "reed will want to see what I got readings of...."

Phoenix has posed:
Teeth grind as all-too-familiar connections filter across the lawn. That Tygra doesn't seem poised to act on them - not to mention his anxieties - keeps Jean from doing much more than clenching her jaw, but the defensive urge is palpable.

{{Alright, assuming 'communication device' means-- actually, I'm gonna just--}}

A scrap of astral paper with Jean's cell number appears in pockets, or pouches, or - if need be - behind ears.

{{-- assuming it means one of those, you can go ahead and plug that into it. Ditto for if anyone else wants to throw out their number. In the meanwhile, I'll keep this as secret as you want, Tygra, and if you want, I can come back to check on you, too-- bring supplies, et cetera.}}

Sue then gets a firm, physical nod and a small smile as she says, "Literally don't mention it."

Tygra has posed:
{Very well. This spot here will suffice I can find my way back to it and should anything be left out of place I will find it and be able to... continue friendly encounters with my human friends.} Tygra walks over to Susan and shakes her hand in the manner he was shown by Jean. As if he just now remembered he was being impolite. His physical self actually does this not his Astral self. {{It was good to meet you all, Phoenix, John, Susan-Richards-Storm. May we continue our journey together peacefully.}}
Tygra through willpower alone pulls free of Jean's connection, just himself now. He gives a slight bow to them and begins to back away. He needs to find his pod and move it again, scout further out and try to find more of his people if any made it.

Cyberdragon has posed:
Cyber on the outside gives a look at Tygra as he seems to be let out of the Mind link and the dragon clearly looks agitated as the tail is lashing around very much catlike in aggitation as the biomechanical dragon begins to also work on john constricting his throat to help break his focus enough to try and get him out of the Link. As John says, "Let me out Cyber's getting aggitated!" he says and starts to hold his head as he can feel a little light headed. Cyber's not doing anything to harm him but making sure that something can be done to break the contact and connection.

Finally when john is freed he will stumbleback as the dragon just snarls as the pair seem to be resyncing in their merger recomminucating as the dragon bares his teeth to JEan, as he is filled in on what was happening. The real question is how much time really passed? minutes? seconds?

Phoenix has posed:
The mansion dissipates once Tygra breaks himself from the link, dropping everyone fully in the material world in a matter of seconds. By then, she's already showing her palms to Cyberdragon, even as she squints curiously in Tygra's direction.

"I'm sorry," she offers up to the dragon once the link is gone, trying to lock eyes with him then. "Emergency psi-conference; hope I didn't shake you up too badly." It's been a few minutes from the moment she first laid her hand on Cyberdragon.

Cyberdragon has posed:
Narrowing his eyes the dragon is more annoyed with Phoenix as the dragon says. //~A little warning would have been nice.~// he says as The Bodylanguage of the dragon changes and then it happens the dragon opens as the Biomechanical dragon is made to leave his host standing independantly as John sits there on the ground coughing.

John says rubbing his throat some. "I have to get used to this wierd stuff if I am going to be a hero..." he says. and just relaxes as the Dragon narrows his eyes at the woman and lays down placing his head on john's lap. Like a protective friend who is being told it's alright.

Phoenix has posed:
Jean looks contrite, but doesn't have a chance to offer further apologies before the dragon recedes, prompting her to take a small step back.

She waits until John has had a chance to finish separating, "Yeah, basically, because it's pretty much all weird stuff," along with a small smile. "Next time," she says to the dragon, "I'll warn you."

She sounds completely serious, because she's been doing this hero thing since she was 15.

"I'm gonna-- " She glances Tygra-wards and finds foliage. "-- should get back to my hike. Good to meet you; be careful." She tips her chin towards his crash site; it's not a vague sentiment. Waving - brisk and sideways for John, stiff and brief for the dragon - she then leaves the ground and begins to make her way back to the schoolhouse.

Invisible Woman has posed:
    As everyone goes their separate ways, Sue makes her way back to the fantasticar and it flies off into the distance. Oddly, if one has a telescope, they can watch her land in the tower that has a '4' at the top of the tower....on each side.
