Cast of Characters: Doctor Strange, Wonder Woman

Doctor Strange has posed:
The Sanctum Sanctorum, Stephen Stranges New York home. A large piece of old world left in the middle of the new, an old brown stone that was built on an old indian burrial ground, that was before then a clearing in a pasutre that was used as a gathering place of the original humans that roamed the Manhatten planes. Likely drawn to this location by a large vein of the Earth's magical ley lines that snake across the planet.

So in the top floor, with a large window shaped to mimic his most potent rune, Stephen is sitting at a table with a single candle, and a single red rose in a tiny clear vase. The man sits with a fork in one hand and a delicately prepared plate of lamb and sides.

"I hope the dinner is to your liking. I'm still learning how to cook, Wong is usually the one who prepares the meals here. But for you I figure I must learn to do something other than get you into more trouble." The wizard says with a smile, already having eaten half his meal.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana sits across from at the table wearing a deep blue dress and her hair is tied back in a bun atop her head. She smiled through her crimson red lips at him and she glances down at the table and then back up at him. "It is very lovely. You have outdone yourself, truly." She replied to the Doctor.

"I thank you for this invitation. I absolutely adore your home... it is a fascinating place to get to come too and I enjoy it each and every time." She looked around the utterly unique residence. "It reminds me of storybooks I read when I was a little girl a long time ago, as well as more that I read when I first came to the... outer world, so long ago."

She looked back to Strange. "Have you been keeping yourself busy?" She asked him then, while reaching for a drink.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I am always busy Diana, this is why when such opportunities as tonight come along, I sieze them with both hands and an unrelenting ferocity. It's why I had called your embassy, sent Wong, and even used a bit of spellcrafting to make sure you were going to be able to make it to dinner tonight." Stephen says, his eyes bright and yet still somehow distant. Even in front of Diana it's like he's thousands of miles away. A curse of the Sorcerer Supreme even. To protect the world and realm and dimension, he must always be in a state of vigilance. It's something he hopes she can not only forgive him for, but understand.

"There was a recent routing of Hydra goons from an unsuspecting South American city, things very nearly went incredibly sideways." The doctor responds before taking another bite of lamb and looks like he's trying to savor it, but to him the thing is flavorless at best and certainly not something he deserves to enjoy.

"What about yourself Diana, what have you been spending your time doing?" It's usually the same kind of answer for her, but she is always in the highest of spirits and the greatest company the lonely wizard could ever hope for.

Wonder Woman has posed:
The Amazon princess showed a faint smile at his first words about magic. "So this is to be like Cinderella then?" She asked. "I am afraid that mice did not help me get dressed this evening." She grinned at this, her perfect pearly whites on display before she sipped from her glass of delicious beverage!

Diana lowered the glass then and placed her hands into her lap. "I heard about the operation, at least bits and pieces of it. It sounds as though if SHIELD had not acted that... whatever Hydra was up to would have been far far worse than what happened there. There were no civilian casualties, yes?" She asked.

"Oh and... I have just been working on public relations, hoping to ease out some of the tensions from this rather horrible way for the country to end its two thousand and twenty fifth year."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"No, not civilian casualties, but any casualties are too many." Stephen says flatly, before he takes another bite and finishes off his plate of dinner, smiling to Diana as he lifts his napkin to wipe his mouth and then waits to make sure she's done eating as well. "That is a monumental task, I will help you in any way that I can, but I am not a symble like you are. I am just a weird man in an odd house in the bizarre part of town." Stephen smirks.

Reaching his hand out across the table, Stephen asks with his other hand lifting to his ear, "Do you hear that?" And with that hand a spark flies from his fingers and the music players begin to play a lovely tune, an old record from long ago with a woman singing and a slow band behind her. It's a piece from an one hundered year old movie, playing just for them.

"Shall we dance?" Stephen asks, his hand still held out over the table.

Wonder Woman has posed:
"You are a sweet man in a wonderful house." Diana replied to the Doctor then and when he showed her the sudden sparks she watched with intent, heard the music and then grinned. "A bit of a show off though... admittedly." She added to her previous statement.

Diana would rise up though and accept his hand. "But I would very much enjoy a dance. Since you asked so nicely." She'd say, a clear wealth of entertainment and joy on her sculpted features.

"You could be a symbol to the public, if you so wished. But... I know that you enjoy brooding in your magic house... Much like another man I know, though he is very much a symbol. Interesting, how that works." She'd say while joining up closer to him to dance with him her arms would move about his shoulders and she'd look to his eyes.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"What's the point of being an all powerful wizard if I can't show of in front of the prettiest woman in the room?" Strange says with a smile, rising slowly with her hand held in his and he then pulls her closer to him, with one hand lifted and the other moving towards her waist. As he does this the table and chairs pull away though the candle stays and instead begins to float in the air about a foot above their heads and outwards, with a few more wick friends coming to join them and help light up the room.

"My place is not in the people's eyes, my place is instead out between the lines of the world where I can protect people from things they would rather not know even existed. That goes for all people. Very few individuals could stomach the perils and oddities I encounter." Stephen says as he slowly moves his feet to the music, his eyes beginning to get lost in Diana's. Enjoying the time and closeness of another person.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana's eyes darted over to the floating candle and then returned to him a moment later, still smiling at him. "Are there many other women... in this room?" She asked him then, teasing him for his compliment. She even went so far as to let her gaze travel around as though she were searching for other women that which she might be able to be compared against for beauty purposes.

But she just looked back to him a second later and grinned. "While I fight the things that are far more public and reap all the benefits of the public praise? And... some hatred... some terrible hatred." Her smile faded for a moment, but she didn't let that keep her down--thoughts of those people in this world who DO NOT like her like so many others do.

"Nevertheless." She furthered onward. "I appreciate what it is that you do in secret. I have been lucky enough to witness some of it... and I do know just how very wildly difficult it all must truly be."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"That means more than all the public opinion. At least to me it does." Stephen says, his hand's still respectful and his feet are slow, methodical and yet somewhat artistic in the movements as they spin about the room with a hint of moonlight streaming in through the large pane of glass to highlight Diana's dress in that perfect blue hued light.

"I honestly don't need thanks. I just need nights like tonight to remind me of what I risk my life for." Strange says with that cocky smile towards Diana as he moves in a spin, allowing her lower and bend backwards, with a sensuous dip letting her eyes and hair catch the moon's rays.

Wonder Woman has posed:
That last compliment really hit home quite nicely and it showed on her face, she had a smile appear but it wasn't quite as large as the previous because it was far more busy by the level of kindness that the Doctor had just paid her way.

"You are surprising, around every turn, Doctor." She said at him softly then, stepping with him to the beat of the old music; a tune and style of song that she was quite fond of.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"That's probably why they call me Strange. That and because that is literally my name." Stephen says, pulling her back up from the dip and with a flourish spins her out to the fullest extent of their hands. He pulls her back in and the dance continues only he now has a rose between his teeth. How did that even get there?!

Stephen smiles and winks with a smile before pulling the rose from his mouth and extending it towards the wonderful woman, words are not needed in this moment.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana showed him a grin at his comment about his name. "Probably so." She softly replied a moment before he sent her out into that flourishing twirl that ultimately lead her back to him and his new found rose. This made a big smile appear on her face against her red lips. "Why Stephen." She said to him then, accepting the rose with her left forefinger and thumb taking hold of it between thumb and forefinger. "Does this mean that we are an item now?" She asked in a tone of voice that would be called playfully-ignorant.

"Or is this some kind of Wizard ceremony where-in I am now betrothed to a Dragon from another realm who is looking to harm Earth and you must give him an Earthling woman to save the planet?" She gasped at him, her dark eyebrows furrowing. "Have I just been sold off to an Evil Death Dimension Dragon Overlord?"

She was teasing him while she slowly turned the rose between thumb and forefinger, holding it down near the tip of her pointed chin.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen suddenly stops dancing and his eyebrows shoot way up on his forehead. "How did you deduce that? I had been acting a pure gentleman the whole time." Stephen notes solemnly before looking away and swallowing the lump in his throat. "Then you should know the Dragon's name is Torrian the Devourer, and he expecting you to rub his thousand feet on Friday nights." The wizard says with a sad look in his eye before a subtle twinkle shines and he smiles.

"No, none of that is happening, but if we are an item, it is only because you allow it." Strange says, taking one of her hands in both of his. "I will warn you I am a difficult man in every sense of the word."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would slowly nod her head up and down at him while continuing to hold eye contact with him. "Oh, I will rub those thousand feet. With a very sharp sword." She added before suddenly flashing another smile as he backed out of the joke and moved on from it.

A grin was shown upon her lips and she softly shook her head side to side. "You only want to be an item with me because you read an article about how I am immortal and no longer showing any signs of physically aging. Every man's dream." She chided him further, and reached her rose-holding hand up to boop him on the nose with the red petals gently.

Diana would exhale then and lower the rose, grinning at him. "And I am a difficult woman, in even more ways than the ways that you are difficult." She was being silly, but her voice was quiet and indicating her very positive mood.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Yes Diana, you, are the first woman to ever figure out that's exactly what I want. A woman who is imortal." Doctor Strange says with that cockeyed smirk on his lips for a moment before he shakes his head. "I think you are one of the few women who can actually understand the weight I bear, because you bear it yourself, and while that alone is a poor reason to seek a relationship. I do think it would be a way to connect, even if we never mention a single thing about our work." Stephen explains why a relationship would be a good idea instead of just explaining that it's something from the heart.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would grin softly at the analytical rundown from the Doctor as to why this 'works' and she replies to it by slowly nodding her head up and down two drawn out times to him. "You make a very good case, Counselor." She responds, then purses her lips for a moment.

"At the very least, I do not have to explain to you the hardships of my duties to this world within the League, you are all too familar with them... as you have said. The weight."

Diana lifted the rose up again and she tipped it against the bottom of his chin and then she leaned in to give him a soft kiss on the lips with her eyelids closing.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen quickly takes that as a very good reason to shut his yap. He closes his eyes and slowly lifts his hands against her arms until he slowly closes his fingers around her biceps as he looses his sense of self from the simple kiss.

Slowly pulling back he blinks a few times rapidly and slowly has that cockeyed grin on his lips again. "Princess." Is all he says as he smiles into her eyes.
