Cast of Characters: Star-Lord, Gamora, Warbird

Star-Lord has posed:
Yes, wonder of wonders, free from Earth, Peter is actually pulling his weight around the ship, but now that repairs have been finished, it's time to, as he put it 'get our drinks on', yep, picked up new slang from Earth too along with the junk food and the endless boxes of cassette tapes. He leads the way up to the Burnout, but takes the long way past some of the other berths to avoid encounters with certain people complaining about late docking fees and stuff like that. Totally, an accounting error, honest!

Though as Peter walks along, he admits, "So, yeah, we're going to definitely need to find some work. Thought it would be easier with us saving Oa a few months back, but, hm, it hasn't." Not that a multi-month vacation to the ass-end of space had anything to do with that right? "Any of your contacts have leads?"

Gamora has posed:
Gamora walked alongside Quill. One of the things SHE'D picked up while on Earth was a black leather trenchcoat and it was flowing around her legs as she walked, her hands stuffed into the pockets of it and an equally dark ensemble of blacks and deep brown leathers on her body beneath the coat.

"Yes." She said softly and looked over at Peter. "But they're the ones you don't like." She told him then, waiting a second before adding. "Assassination jobs. Kidnappings and robbery."

Gamora pulled her communicator out of her pocket and she sighed after reading it. "Rocket and Groot are in custody with security... already."

Another beep came across the comm unit then and she sighed again. "Drax is recording it for us."

Warbird has posed:
Ava'Dara sits at her controls, the cramped space feeling a bit more cramped as she's towed in from outside of the head. The Shi'ar warrior as her legs crossed and she taps a fingernail at a blank spot on her console and with her lips pursed incredibly tightly she watches as the tug comes to a stop and deposits her ship in a spot. Taking it's due credits from her account without so much as a warning, the Deathbringer class Warbird stands up and turns around to fetch her gear. Slipping on her gauntless, and opting to leave her head piece behind on the ship, Ava does carry one of her swords and her sidearm at her hip. Then with a white and black cloth, she creates a garb over her shoulders, covering most of her clothes and weapons. She doesn't want to out herself right away on this new place she's going to call home.

Ava steps down onto the docks and her white eyes scan the area, noting everyone and more importantly their equipment. She considers most as either defeatable or not, but that's the Shi'ar training causing her to think these things. She's interrupted by a rumbling of her belly and decides to find her way towards food, following her nose and the rumble in her gut.

Star-Lord has posed:
@emit Peter had to admit the trenchcoat looked good on Gamora. Very 'bad ass' as he'd probably said a few times by now. But hey! It was true.

"Just how shady of a robbery are we talking here?" Peter says after hearing the options. They had to have enough credit with the Lanterns and Nova to maybe get away with one, and still be on the side of the angels.

Maybe.

Peter grins though when he hears Rocket and Groot are locked up, and when he hears Drax is filming it, he says, "Tell him if he's using that cellphone he got on Earth, then makes sure he's using the camera on the back not the front. I don't want to have to watch another video of Drax laughing at something I can't see."

The arrival of the ship and the warrior woman who pilot's it gets a look from Peter, the get up and the weapons make him ask Gamora, "Friend of yours?"

Gamora has posed:
Gamora looked down at her device and started to stare at the various letters and words on the screen and the device wrote her response out to be instantly sent to wherever Drax and the others were. "He says he remembered." She quietly replies.

Gamora then looked up and put her device down into her pouch on her belt around her waist and she looked to Quill. "IT is stealing cargo from a convoy headed to a refugee relief program on Pakka Zora. It is not the kind of job you want to do. I have already told them we pass on it."

And then the Green Skinned woman looked to Warbird... she stared at the other for a few moments as they drew near to her vicinity.

"I have no friends." Gamora quietly replied to Quill, then glanced at him. "Present company excluded, of course." She smirked at him.

Warbird has posed:
Ava's eyes are drawn in the direction her nose is picking up the scent of cooking, more specifically fried goods. She's been on a strict regiment since her birth, and she's always smelt the fried foods back home, but never got the chance to even partake, but this is her first chance. Lifting her nose up, the woman with the crying mascara look steps forwards and follows the pathways, nearly bumping into Gamora at her last thoughts, "Get a room you two." She says sharply and moving with a swift purpose.

Was that on purpose, was she trying to draw the Guardian's ire?

Star-Lord has posed:
Peter makes a face when Gamora brings up the job. "Ouch, yeah, that's a pass," he says before inspiration strikes, "Did your contact send you any details on the job? I wonder how much the folks at Pakka Zora would pay to have us help keep their stuff."

Peter smirked, "With that whole staredown thing, I can see why," he says. "You just have to learn to make the first move-"

Then the woman is coming their way, bumping into Gamora and telling them to get a room.

"But not like that," Peter says continuing the lesson, "Not to say she doesn't have good ideas," he adds about getting a room. "Try not to kill her."

Gamora has posed:
Gamora's eyes were over on Quill while she walked and listened to him, another smirk showing on her purple hued lips. "Do you really want to ask a war besiged planet's refugees if they have any money to pay us for escorting their food? If so, I can look into i--"

When she was bumped into her shoulder popped back and she looked back to the woman... the Shi'ar woman with the white hair. Gamora's eyes narrowed at her bad attitude ontop of seemingly purposefully colliding with her.

"We have rooms, why would we want to get more?" She said back at her, voice still calm. She stared at the Shi'ar, curious about her now.

Warbird has posed:
"To bed the terran. Obviously!" Ava'Dara said with a near snarl curling at her lips. The woman's feather hair flops over her shoulder at the turn of her head.

She takes a few steps before stopping and turning back to face Gamora, and then to Peter to size them both up and she smirks with a scoff once before turning around and deciding they're not worth the dulling of her blade. The girl continues to make her way towards the bar.

Star-Lord has posed:
Peter's back to making that face again. "Okay, scratch that," he says about the job.

Contriving to look innocent Peter says, "I had no idea it meant that." Before he jogs ahead to catch up with the Shi'ar. "So, noticing a lot of hostility here, we do something to you? Because if, so let me apologize, I am sure it was all a big misunderstanding."

Gamora has posed:
Gamora narrowed her eyes further into slits as the woman said this at her and then she looked over to Quill. She looked back at Warbird then. "Certainly more appealing than bedding a Shi'ar vapor brain like you." Gam responded moments before Peter jogged after the featherhead.

Gamora shook her head at the sight of this and turned around to keep walking in the direction she and he had originally been going, but she pauses to spit on Warbird's ship before going further.

'FWAP!'

Warbird has posed:
Ava slows herself but doesn't halt her walk completely, she has her mind set on food and she intends to get it. Her milky eyes turn to Peter and she answers truthfully, "You green compainion carries herself like she were the smartest and strongest person on this whole goram station. I aimed to pick a fight with her." The Warbird reponds to Peter before her eyes turn a bit further and spots Gamora spitting on her ship.

"How dare you!" The woman says with a fire in her voice that's compounded by the scraping sound of her sword being drawn, and with her arm moving in just a way to show off the actual armor she wears, anyone in the know would be able to tell that Ava, is not only a Warbird of the Shi'ar, but a Deathbringer. She's one of the top assassins.

The white feathered woman shoves past Peter and charges down Gamora, her blade heald at the ready and her white and black poncho curling around her back like a cape.

Star-Lord has posed:
"Whoa!" Peter shouts as the ladies get dangerously close to throwing down. "What the hell is wrong with you lady?" he demands of Warbird, as the element guns come out and get levelled at her. "And by the way, pick a fight with one of us and you pick a fight with both of us."

Gamora has posed:
Gamora had a ton of combative enhancements to her person that made her a remarkably difficult opponent to face off against and this lead her to being quite cocky when it came to doing 'battle' with others.

So to have the Shi'ar bird rushing at her? It didn't really phase her, she just spun around and drew her own sword, swiping it out of her sheath and then pointing it toward the woman as she charged.

Gamora knew that Peter was there to help her too, but that was on him... she'd cut this woman in half if it came to it though!

Warbird has posed:
Ava rushes hard and fast but not surprised to see Gamora draw her blade, and even gets a smile on her lips but she halts rather quickly. With her sword still up she keeps her eyes on Gamora but addresses Peter. "Drawing your guns on someone's back." Then she looks back to Gamora and squints her eyes sharply before lowering her sword and the scraping metal sound as she sheathes her weapon. Adjusting her cloth to cover her armor once again, Ava comments, "Your terran plays dirty." To which she smiles again, "I like that."

Star-Lord has posed:
Peter wears his customary smirk as he aims guns at Warbird. "Glad you approve," he says, though he pretty plainly doesn't care. His eyes flit to Gamora, "You want my help here or are you two throwing down?" he asks. "If it's the latter let me get Drax and his camera," he jokes.

Gamora has posed:
And for her part, Gamora's blade remains drawn and tip-aimed right at Warbird even as she seems to have a change of heart. She keeps her eyes trained on the feathery haired woman though.

"He comes from a dirty planet, so it is to be expected that he would have dirty tactics." Was Gamora's well thought out response. Afterall she just spent a month on Earth and she got to know as well as she needed to!

At Quill's words though, Gamora looked to him and then back to Warbird. "I have no interest in killing a Shi'ar." Gamora said further. "I've done that enough already in my life. Its gotten boring..."

Warbird has posed:
Ava's eyes squint again, but when Gamora's words sink she she recognizes the woman. Truely one of the greatest threats to her race. THE daughter of Thanos. Her head would be a worthy enough prize to allow the empire to reinstate her position in the warbirds. Heck with that green trophy, Ava might actually be made a heroine of the empire!

So she does what any good assassin would do. "How about teaming up with a Shi'ar. What your terran was saying, about needing money." Warbird turns her gaze over her shoulder towards Peter. "I might be able to help you find some work. Even help you complete it too."

Star-Lord has posed:
"Hey! Earth's not dirty!" Peter complains to Gamora wrinkling his nose. "We're definitely going to talk about this, when we're not in a standoff."

When Warbird makes her offer, it's clear Peter's tempted, but when is he not? However, since Warbird had been about to throw down with Gamora, he lets Gamora make the call. "What do you say, Gam, we hearing her out?"

Gamora has posed:
Gamora's sword was held at her side now finally and she just shook her head gently from side to side. "A deal is a deal. She is yours to interview for work, Peter." The green woman would respond. "Perhaps we should go to the bar and speak of it over a drink..."

And with that, she'd slide her sword back into its sheath that was hanging from her hip inside of her jacket next to the holster that had her plasma gun nestled into it.

Had she been identified by this woman? Wasn't really a concern of hers, she'd eagerly fight her if it came to that.

Warbird has posed:
It seems Ava is interested in fighting Gamora as well, as long as it was a one on one fight at least. The white feathered woman watches Gamora sheath her weapon with a hard stare before turning back towards Quill and noding once.

"If I have to be interviewed by you, Terran, I will, but drinks are a must. As are the deep fried foods." She says with a lick of her lips as she starts to march in the direction of the smell again.

Star-Lord has posed:
"Wait I do the-" Peter begins, before he realizes this was better than having to explain why there were blood and bodies all over Knowhere again. "Drinks and fried food it is," he says with just a touch of forced cheerfulness. He puts his guns away, "You'll find it's an informal interview process, but it usually starts with, what's your name?" he says as he begins to lead the way to the bar.

Gamora has posed:
At this stage Gamora would fall to the back of the two others and she'd follow after them and let Warbird walk alongside Peter... She liked to let people deal with women because by and large most women were weak and easily swayed by Peter's ridiculous come-ons. She liked to let them fall for that and let him hike the price up on whatever job they might take on. Plus, she liked to just quietly observe people and study them for all their 'tells' and apparent weaknesses.

Warbird has posed:
"I do not know if your tongue can pronounce it. I am Ava'Dara Naganandini. Or, you can call me Warbird." Ava says to Peter as she walks along side the human. She glances over her shoulder at Gamora and figures she might make a game out of this. The assassin steps a bit closer to Pete as they walk on still towards the bar. "I'm sure you could tell by my ship I'm looking for work as well, and I foresee a mututally beneficial relationship... What's your name terran?"

Star-Lord has posed:
"Maybe not most Terrans, Ava'Dara Naganandini," Peter counters doing a fair job of pronouncing her name with a Terran tongue and vocal cords. "Grew up out here, so I know the lingo." He gives her one of those winning smiles then. "And I'm Peter Quill, but people call me Star-Lord. Might have heard of me, legendary outlaw," he says, quietly checking in his head to see if he remembered having any warrants in Shi'ar space. Good chance he didn't, he hadn't pissed off any bird-brains recently. He chucks a thumb behind him, "That's Gamora, but I think you guessed that, Most Dangerous Woman in the Galaxy and all of that. The rest of our crew's in the process of getting out of lock up by now. So, yeah, what sort of work can you throw us?"

Gamora has posed:
Infact: Gamora's eyes had gone back down to her comm device to see Drax's message.

"Rocket and the others are headed to the Burnout now... They paid for their release via the funds earned with some of the gifts you gave them from Earth." She said to Peter in a dry tone of voice.

Her device was lowered again and she walked just a few steps behind the two of them... her eyes were on the back of the Shi'ar's head, eyeing her white feathery hair... wondering what the bird-like woman would taste like if she were cooked and served on a metal spike.

Warbird has posed:
"I know plenty about killing people and making guns. So if we can find someone that deals with either of those, I think we're in business Star-Quill." Ava says with her expression flat as they walk into the bar finally. She's famished!
