Blackout has posed:

The peace and tranquility of the bank lobby was suddenly shattered when someone screamed, "EVERYONE DOWN, THIS IS A ROBBERY!". Shots were fired from a 12 guage and then more shots from an AK-47. Five robbers wearing furry masks (bear, bunny, wolf, racoon, tiger (see https://vimeo.com/1323646 for reference to style; 40 sec in)) entered the building on dirt bikes. The bunny lept over the counter and pistol slapped a bank manager. Knocking him to the floor. Then screamed, "OPEN THE VAULT."

Meanwhile, in the vault, hidden from direct view is a figure in all black. No facial features. Just the lines of a male body in armored darkforce. He was minding his own business, pilfering stcaks of money from a shelf. He heard the voices and said to himself, "What the hell?"

Mon-El has posed:
Lar Gand didn't need to be anywhere nearby to have heard the scream or see the robbery going down at the bank building, but today he just happened to be present when the men with the strange masks appeared. What's he doing at a bank? Well, it was kind of step 2 to starting a somewhat normal life on Earth until he and the rest of the Legion could figure out how to restore his memories, or at the very least until he could get his own abilities under control. After all, can't expect him to just stay cooped up on the cruiser all the time!

Upon entering, he had noticed there was a strange figure inside one of the vaults...but whoever it is, they aren't hurting anyone, and for all he knows it could be an employee or someone else who is actually -supposed- to be in there, anyway. Yeah, it's definitely strange, but really everything on this planet is strange to him so he's never sure what is strange to the locals and what is not. And even when the robbers come charging in, he hesitates. They look like normal humans, and he -knows- if he tries to intervene, he may end up causing more injury and damage than what would've occurred if he'd just let the authorities deal with the problem. Scanning the manager who just got knocked over first, followed by anyone else who might have gotten hurt, he sees that no one has really been dealt any kind of serious or permanent injury. Therefore, he doesn't act just yet, though he doesn't exactly comply with their demands to get down on the floor, either.

Blackout has posed:
People drop to their stomachs (leaving Mon-El standing). Some whimper, some scream, the bad guys say to shut the hell up and keep heads down.

In the vault itself, Blackout has decided to investigate, just to make sure that he's not going to be bothered by normal annoyances. He walks to the end of the hallway and looks through the room. He's spotted by one of the robbers. The robber (bear) aims at Blackout with the AK and pulls off a few rounds while calling out, "It's one of those metas! Shoot him!" All the other robbers look in the general direction of Blackout and will also start firing. Thus causing more screams with the general populace (about 30 bystanders in the bank).

Blackout has posed:
Blackout ducks back down the hallway, avoiding being hit. Shots are fired. The robbers are distracted. They are also spaced around the lobby. Not grouped up.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar sighs. This is getting harder and harder. Just standing there waiting for Terran authorities to show up, that is. His mind just keeps going back to Laurel's words about him having saved the entire universe on multiple occasions. This should be mere child's play, right? But he doesn't remember any of his training...thus far every time he's gotten into a tussle of any sort, buildings got knocked over as if they were made of glass.

But then, he hears them shouting about shooting 'one of those metas' as sees them opening fire on Blackout. Welp, that's it. He can't let them kill anyone, innocent or not. ZOOM. A blur of motion and suddenly the Daxamite is standing in front of their bullet rain, letting the ammo simply bounce off of his body like a bunch of rubber bands or something. He just stands there, arms folded until they either stop shooting or empty every magazine in their possession.

"I think you should stop now." he says, once the firing has stopped.

Blackout has posed:
Behind Mon-El, the voice says, "Son of a bitch." in a disgruntled, annoyed tone of disappointment. The figure in the black suit then heads back toward the bank vault in a hurried fashion. Probably wanting to retrieve one last thing before leaving.

Meanwhile, the robbers continue to fire just for a few more seconds before the bunny says, "Dammit, let's get outta here." The others will register the signal to retreat and they take off toward the nearest exits. Police are on the way, but they are still 1 to 2 minutes out.

Mon-El has posed:
"Smart move!" Lar calls out as the masked man calls for a retreat. He watches with satisfaction as the robbers clear out after wasting some rounds of ammunition on him. Hey, did he -actually- just fix a crime scene without causing any injuries, and without any buildings getting knocked over? That's a first. Since the amnesia thing, anyway--so it kind of feels like an accomplishment. But, maybe he's not in the clear just yet. He hadn't been sure about that strange figure he'd noticed earlier--only one way to find out! There's another blur of motion and rush of air and...

When Blackout arrives back inside the vault he was robbing, he might be surprised to find the Daxamite there already, leaning casually against a side wall. "You're welcome, you know." he remarks when the man arrives. "Hey I was just wondering, do you work here? I guess all this money does need to be re-organized every once and a while? Not that I would know anything about how banks on this planet run themselves. Perhaps you could enlighten me, good sir?"

Blackout has posed:
Pausing, the featureless face of Blackout looks in the general direction of the Daxamite. A voice resonates from behind the mask. Taking the tone of explanation and convincing, the voice notes, "You're close to being right. In fact, I'm a courier. I do a money exchange. I take it from here and put it elsewhere. Part of the whole treasury system. Ya know?" While explaining, his gloved hands animate shifting of something from one place ot another.

Meanwhile, the robbers have exited the building and the bystanders inside the lobby begin to flee. Employees try and recover as well as get on phones to all the police, to make sure they're in route even though the silent alarm is already sounding.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar nods slowly, at least giving the appearance of being convinced. "Oooh, I see. Why are you dressed like that, then?" he asks, stalling while he tries to scan the man with his x-ray vision to see if he can figure out what that armor is made out of or what exactly he is beneath the armor. "Special occasion? It's pretty neat, though, I think. Very uhh...mysterious. And shadowy. Are you supposed to be a shadow? Or something?"

Blackout has posed:
The face behind the mask is that of a 30 something male with dark hair/eyes and virtually a non descript, generic featured face. He looks as human as any other human on the planet of humans. The armor is something that is in flux between matter and energy. It doesn't have an atomic nature. It's pure black, light is completely absorbed by it. Hence the lack of features as it covers the man's body. "This is my uniform. I wear it to keep safe. So thugs like that don't shoot me when I'm transporting the goods."

Blackout walks toward the table where he left his darkforce bag and begins loading up the money into the bag. He casually notes, "I'm called Blackout. Fitting, right?" His remark is almost as if he's making fun of his name and being friendly."

Mon-El has posed:
Lar follows him over to the table, chuckling good-naturedly. "Yes, that is very fitting!" He sticks out a hand for the Earth custom of handshake. "Lar Gand." he introduces himself with a polite smile.

Hm, what an odd substance he findes coating the man's body. And composing his bag as well, it seems. "Well I'm glad you wouldn't have gotten hurt even if I hadn't blocked those robbers from shooting you. Where do you get that strange substance from?"

Blackout has posed:
Taking the Daximite's hand, Blackout will return the gesture of the greeting. He states, "I pull it from a pocket dimension. The robbers could have hurt me though... sometimes penetrating bullets really hurt. Oh, by the way; would you like to see that dimension?" The substance feels a lot like a very slick rubber or neoprene. It's padded, has a few hard points in it where one may take punches or bullets. Or even punch someone else (like knuckles).

Mon-El has posed:
"Wow, that's pretty cool!" Lar compliments. "Well then, I'm glad I intervened when I did." Then his eyes widen at the invitation to see it. "I--really? Thank you for the invitation. Certainly, I'll have to take you up on that offer some time. But for now, maybe we should go check on your colleagues to make sure they aren't hurt and let them know you aren't hurt, either. I saw someone get knocked over, anyway. And I'm sure the police want to speak with the both of us, after what happened today. They are almost here." He can already hear the sirens approaching.

Blackout has posed:
After the grip is released, he'l put the last stack of bills into the bag and then synch it up. "That's a great plan.", he notes in an amicable tone. He'll lift the bag and put it over his left shoulder. It's decently heavy but doesn't encumber him. He'll turn on his heel facing the exit of the vault and says, "What about you though? Won't you be in trouble for being back here? They'll probably look at you as a threat. So let me go first, diffuse the situation and tell them you're with me."

Mon-El has posed:
Lar smirks as the armored man turns away from him. If Blackout is worried about his new friend getting into trouble, wouldn't it make more sense for them to come out together? He debates whether he should take action now, or keep up the charade.

Darting forward, he attempts to grab Blackout's arm. "Oh, you're right! They might consider me a suspect. I should come with you, so that they can see I mean you no harm and then you can tell them that I protected you from the criminals. That way, it won't look like I'm trying to sneak up on you."

Blackout has posed:
Blackout will make an observation as he pauses to turn toward Mon-El while being grabbed, "You're very fast." in a rhetorical tone. Then add, "Bulletproof. Friendly. Very strong. And probably have some observational skills that I'm not aware of. I'm guessing you're part of the Super family." then he'll finally ask as if it's an actual posed question, "Which one are you? SuperMan, Steel, Major Steel, SuperGuy, Man of Steelness? And tell me, can you fly?"

The question is relevant as a portal opens beneath the both of them and /pseudo gravity/ will do its thing. They will drop into the darkforce dimension - if Mon-El doesn't fly them upward and away from the aperature.

Mon-El has posed:
"Super family?" Lar hasn't heard that term before. "Uhm, I don't think so, I haven't heard that name before. But--I did see a statue of Superman in Centennial Park in Metropolis before." he remarks casually as the two of them start to fall through the portal. "Oh, is this where you were supposed to move this money to? Weird! But maybe you forgot you were carrying this." He holds up the bag of money. "Forgivable, of course. Anyone might be quite rattled by that attempted armed robbery just now. But don't worry, I can return it for you!"

At this, he attempts to swipe the money away and rocket back toward the opening through which they came, hopefully before it closes. Well, at least it answers the question of whether he can fly, and confirms the fact that he is indeed -extremely- fast. Faster than a speeding bullet, even many times faster than the speed of sound.

Blackout has posed:
Grabbing the bag with his super speed and super reflexes isn't an issue at all. Blackout /falls/ out of reach and Mon-El is able to fly /upward/ through the portal, faster than a speeding bullet; And thus escaping the absolute darkness of the Darkforce Dimension before the portal closes. Once outside of the portal, back into the fluorescent hallway of the bank, he'll realize that the bag is dissolving/evaporating and nothing falls out of it. He'll be left with darkforce within his hand. Coating his skin in small print which will read, "Nice meeting you.". That too will disolve in seconds to follow.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar peers at the print on his hand, then shrugs. Perhaps he shouldn't have let the man go, but judging from the results of some of his prior fistfights, it most likely would not have been worth the collateral damage that would have been caused. Plus, he also didn't want to risk accidentally killing or causing permanent damage to anyone, even Blackout himself. He wasn't even supposed to have gotten involved in the first place, anyway. He's in no shape to be doing any 'heroing' right? Right.
