Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Lady Blackhawk, Power Girl

Lady Blackhawk has posed:
Blackhawk Freight has offices all up and down the Eastern Seaboard, but the company's HQ is in New York. Not in Manhattan, but closer to the docks in the industrial part of the Big Apple. Zinda Blake, the sole surviving member of Blackhawk Squadron has recently become more than the company's namesake. Thanks to Blackhawk's recent acquisition, she now has a lot more control.

Not that Zinda's in it for power. No, she has other goals in mind. Hell, she hasn't even moved to a bigger office. Keeping to the office Blackhawk used to let her hang out in, she's there right now. Drinking her morning coffee and reading the newspaper, the daily route reports cross her computer screen but she lets others handle those details. Looking out over the airfield from her 3rd floor window, the blonde is lost in her thoughts.

Power Girl has posed:
To be completely honest with you, blondes aren't supposed to appear outside of your window in the morning. There's a loud crack that can be heard, but before it's even reaching the ears of the woman in her office, a floating, white clad woman is just -there.-

The rush of wind that follows rattles the windows, but it doesn't necessarily break anything- it just makes for one hell of an entrance. After all, Power Girl had been asked to vouch for someone, and to do so in a way that earned Zinda's respect, and theoretically, her trust. She wanted to make an impression.

There's a tap on the window- as if Zinda isn't staring out of it- as the flying woman awaits Zinda's probably inevitable opening.

"Hi there. You should be... Zinda Blake? A mutual acquaintance of ours has asked me to come and speak to you, if you've got a minute. Shouldn't take any more than that."

Lady Blackhawk has posed:
Zinda manages not to spill her coffee at the visitor's sudden appearance. Outside her window. Outside her window and floating. Yes, she was looking out the window. "Whoa, there!" she replies, taking half a step back in surprise. "Y'all better come inside before you catch your death of cold."

Still holding the coffee, she opens the latches on the window and throws up the sash. "And yeah, I'm Zinda Blake. You're.... not from around here, are you honey? I'm gonna venture a guess somewhere close to Texas, by the size of it."

Power Girl has posed:
"The cold doesn't bother me." she states, and as the woman opens up the window, Power Girl rotates somewhat, so that her feet are pointing down towards the ground of the office, and she slips through the window, in flight.

"Texas? No, I'm not from Texas. Metropolis, primarily. I know I don't have a big S anywhere, but I go by Power Girl." she notes, folding her arms and stepping more into the center of the room. "Anyway, as I said, a mutual acquaintance, the one that happens to call themselves Oracle. I wanted to help you feel more at ease in dealing with them in the future. They're actually very much on the up and up. You can trust them."

Lady Blackhawk has posed:
Zinda steps back to watch the taller blonde float into the office and alight before her. She grins, taking a sip of coffee. "Metropolis would've been a close second. Big S or not." Zinda doesn't seem to be put out by the floating woman in white, red cape or not. She leaves out the part about everything being bigger in Texas.

"Get you some coffee, Power Girl? And just how might you know this Oracale-person? Or more importantly, how do they know me? And my business. It's all well and good for someone to fly up, knock on my window, and all that."

Power Girl has posed:
Power Girl shrugs, at that. It's a motion that really displays how unfair her physique is, considering everything present. "No, I don't need any coffee. To be honest, I probably ought to wind down. I will say that I don't know how they know you. I don't necessarily want to know, because then I don't have any information I can give anyone else about how they -get- their information. I know it's not unsavory, though."

There's... Well, a minor pause, there. "I know them through, well, work. As it were. Stopping bad things from happening, or stopping the bad things -as- they're happening. Point is, they want to start a relationship with you, a working one. They felt the need to ask me to vouch for their credibility. They're good people, and they want to help, so I said I would."

Lady Blackhawk has posed:
Zinda Blake leans back against the desk, cradling the coffee in both hands now. "So this Oracle sent an honest-to-goodness superhero to give a character reference, then. Must been pretty serious reasons to want to work with -me-."

Something occurs to Zinda, then, because she pauses. "So let me get this straight. Oracle knows you, but you don't know them personally. You must get information from them... I ain't gonna ask what sort. But you trust them enough to fly on over and visit a lady in her office, just on a phone call?"

Power Girl has posed:
There are a couple of nods, there, as she follows along with Zinda's points. This time, she unfolds her arms to shrug, before speaking up. "To be honest, I don't really have to struggle to get... Anywhere. It's less effort than you might think for me to get from Metropolis to here. But, as to the level of trust you're speaking of... Yes. I trust them, and I trust them that much. The work they do is very, very important, and they're trying to get it off of the ground. I wasn't really informed why you were an important figure."

Another pause. "Just that you were. They want to work with you, and I can imagine that it's important. Doesn't take a whole lot to get me into a woman's office, but even then, this is still quite important. Hopefully my word is good enough to get you in touch with Oracle."

Lady Blackhawk has posed:
Zinda Blake tilts her head, looking up with raised brows. "You break the sound barrier between New York and Metropolis, then? Sorry, just curious." Another sip, then she puts the coffee down. "Listen, honey, I watch the news and read the papers, so I know what sorta work you do. Don't have to wear white to see that you're one of the good guys. Or gals, rather."

Another shrug follows. "Not sure what Oracle wants with me or Blackhawk Freight, either. But if YOU trust them, then that goes a long way with me." She pauses, then adds. "Won't even ask you to sign anything. Just tell Oracle, whenver you hear from them next, that I'll play along so long as they deal off the top of the deck."

Power Girl has posed:
With a nod, she made her way to step towards the window. "Yeah. I hit a low orbit pre-mach and then once I'm at that safe altitude I'm free to hit mach three without causing any property damage. I have to be careful where I'm stopping because of the rush of air, but I haven't screwed that up so far."

"I'm glad to hear my word has some weight, and that's good. I'm not sure how legal it'd be for something to be signed 'Power Girl.' I'll let 'em know. They'll be thrilled, I'm sure." she states, offering this friendly smile, "Anything else?" she asks, getting ready to fly out of the window.

Lady Blackhawk has posed:
Zinda whistles low at that. "Mach 3? Dressed like that?" The blonde pilot smiles crookedly and nods as her surprise guest makes ready to leave. "I'd love it if you took me up sometime. Never really flown without an aircraft before, although I expect I'd need at least a flight suit or something for the altitude."

"And yeah, whatever it is that Oracle is selling, I'm at least listening. They know my terms, and now *I* know that they're serious."

Power Girl has posed:
Power Girl can't really resist, looking out of the window, and then back at Zinda. "I don't know if I can hit three with a ride-along, but... You got a flight suit handy?" she asks. From there, the rest is... Probably history.
