Synopsis: Laurel, Lar, and Bombshell go to a hockey game.
Cast of Characters: Mon-El, Bombshell, Andromeda

Mon-El has posed:
The sports arenas around Metropolis Stadium are bustling today, because tonight a big hockey game is going down. It's one of the most-anticipated matchups of the season, and has the hockey fan community buzzing with excitement despite the frigid weather and snow on the ground. A crowd has gathered around one of the hockey rinks as the doors have just opened, with many fans filing in quickly to get out of the cold.

And where is Lar in all of this? Not trying to get inside yet, anyway. Not after what happened at that restaurant in Canada earlier. Too many people packed into one place. Besides, he can see what's going on through the walls and everything anyway. Whatever it is that's supposed to be going on, at least. He has an idea...sort of...he has seen the fact that humans seem to enjoy scooting around on ice wearing shoes with metal blades on them. This appears to be more of that, although he's thinking that arena is far too small for that many people to skate around on at once.

Bombshell has posed:
Bombshell is not milling around, or standing around, she's trying to get into the stadium so she can go see the hockey game. One advantage of flight? She can easily get to any of the stadiums near New York in a short amount of time, and any stadium anywhere with just a bit of time and planning. So she's lined up, waiting to get inside, getting jostled around by all the other fans as well. She's not in her typical black leather short jacket. Today she's wearing a New York Rangers jersey, even though they're not playing today, and is trying to get in so she can get to her seat. She's left her head uncovered today, so she's a bit shinier than normal, though it doesn't seem to be helping her clear a way through the crowd any.

Andromeda has posed:
Laurel creates a ripple in the crowd. It isn't that people part for her - far from it, if truth be told. The statuesque blonde would ordinarily draw some looks but today she is anoter obstacle to be shoved aside. It's more the fact that peple... Can't. A man tries to elbow past Laurel and lets out soft yowl of pain before stumbling away. Unlike Bombshell she doesn't /look/ like one would hurt their fist punching her. And yet...

"Lar, are you outside?" Laurel asks, speaking into her flight ring as she edges through the crowd. She does her best to avoid bumping people for their benefit rather than hers. "It's prety crowded but... you should come in." Then she notes the shininess of a certain nearby hockey fan. "...Bombshell?" A bright smile follows. Laurel forges forward through the mass of people.

"Your team isn't playing tonight. I didn't know you would come."

Mon-El has posed:
Lar immediately notices Bombshell in the crowd, her skin is kind of a dead giveaway even without the X-ray vision and all that. He approaches her carefully, doing his best not to bump into anyone for fear he might break them. "Yeah um...I'm not sure that's such a good idea. Too many people to potentially get kiled if I screw up again." he sighs at Laurel's message on the comms, but then looks up to see her coming towards them anyway. He looks somewhat dejected today. "So--uh...what's going on, exactly? Big...skating event?" he asks, trying to distract the conversation away from the topic of him screwing up.

Bombshell has posed:
Bombshell grumbles along with quite a few other people as the line moves quite slowly. Only a couple of ticket takers working at the intake. "Oh come on. Get more ticket takers good lord..." She sighs and tips her head back light glimmering off her features as she lets out another long suffering sigh. She looks around a little bit and spies Mon-el weaving his way through the crowd. "Hey. So what do I call you anyway? Or what do you prefer to go by? I've heard a couple different names, just wanted to know which one you like and it's called Hockey. It's a sport. It's... well your cousin no wait niece? loved it and.... there she is." Bombshell blinks a few times at spotting Laurel stepping out of the crowd next to them. "Mini family reunion?" She asks with a quick smile, turning back towards the stadium as the crowd starts to move. "I try to catch games here when I can." She offers by way of explenation to Laurel.

Andromeda has posed:
"We spend a lot of time together. I was telling Lar he should take a look at this," Laurel replies cheerfully. She flashes that luminous grin at both of her companions before taking a deep breath. "I was pretty excited to get the chance to come see the game today, to be honest. It isn't really the same with optics..." Laurel shifts her weight slightly from left to right. "To be honest, I would love to be able to play, but..." She smiles somewhat sheepishly. "I'm glad I was able to catch you both here."

Mon-El has posed:
"Lar Gand." Lar answers, an eyebrow quirking at the question. "Didn't I tell you before?" Then he looks a little confused at the comment about having heard multiple names. "What other names have you heard and from whom? I have only one name."

He glances up at Laurel's smile, glad to see her happy although he doesn't appear to be in the best of moods himself. A nod at the description of hockey being a sport. "Ohhh, a sport. I see. I was beginning to wonder why so many people were wanting to skate at this one arena. It seems far too small."

Bombshell has posed:
"Hey I don't know what you space types get up to in your free time." Bombshell responds over her shoulder to Laurel with a quick grin. "Saving other planets and star systems, or taking down threats no one knows about. Or sitting back, watching a game of football with a beer and a pizza." She lets out a soft laugh and tucks her hands into the pockets of her jeans. She's worn jeans today rather than her typical cargo pants. "I don't think so? Maybe? I dunno. I'm a busy girl." This in response to Lar's question. "I don't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday let alone something you might have told me during a tense and uneasy moment. Which is pretty much all I've had around you so far." She reaches out to pat Lar's shoulder a couple times. "It's a sport yeah. Two teams get out on the ice. Five players and a goalkeeper on each side. Typically two of the players stay on defense and three go on offense. There's some rules but it's not complicated. Rough and tumble sport though. Lotta fun to watch. More fun to play but I don't get to do that anymore. Played before I got all silvered."

Andromeda has posed:
"Well... I mean. We could play something like it. Actually, if we talk to the Legion, maybe..." Laurel is frowning thoughtfully now but she doesn't seem to have any problem leading the way toward the main stadium. "We have three people, but we'd need twelve. Hm. That sould be plausible." Laurel starts to walk again now. "But yes. This is Lar. Lar, Amy. Let's make sure we get proper seats."

Mon-El has posed:
"It's okay, you're right, I haven't exactly been--" Lar sighs, slumping his shoulders a bit. "You know." This is in reference to the fact that his encounters with her haven't exactly been very relaxed like this one.

He studies Bombshell intently as she talks about beer and football and pizza and how hockey works, trying to make sense of it. Lar nods. "Oh yeah that sounds somewhat familiar, we had games like that on Daxam." A pause, as he thinks of how to phrase his next question. "Is football with a beer another 'rough and tumble' sport?"

He hesitates when Laurel starts inside as they've finally shuffled to the front of the line. There's a lot of people in there...but, she looks so excited to do this together. So he follows her tenantively. Then he's confused again when Laurel introduces Bombshell as Amy. "Amy? Who's Amy?"

Bombshell has posed:
"We've met. A few times now." Bombshell remarks to Laurel in regards to her uncle. "Friendly? Hospitable? Normal? Nah you've been kind of off the wall. You need to get a handle on whatever is wrong with you before the Justice League gets a handle on it for you. Or the Avengers. Or any of the other busy body super groupus out there. Eventually they're gonna take notice bud." She tips her head a couple times. "Laurel said the same thing. That you had similar games. Oh... football is a couch sport. And by that I mean it's something that people get together to watch in the home. You order pizza and drink beer. And it's sort of a rough and tumble sport? Used to be a lot more physical. Now they're a bunch of pussies about everything. But the objective in football is to throw the ball to a teamate who's further down the field. That team mate then tries to run it to the goal. While everyone else tries to take him to the ground." She walks along inside, getting the whole entrance thing taken care of. "I'm Amy. It's my name. Well... I guess it's my given name since it's not what I typically go by. But it's one of my names? Amy Allen is my legal given name. I go by Bombshell."

Andromeda has posed:
"I like it, at least. Even if Bombshell is quite apropos." Laurel shes her head once but the nshe flashes both a smile. "I think we'll manage to avoid having to deal with the Justice League .things have improved tremenodusly. I fdon't foresee any further- major developments..." Laurel is weaving through people carefully, leaving in her wake a path by which they will be able to advance. "We're just in time for the game to start .I was concerned for a moment. And, football is a couch sport, hm? Perhaps I should watch it sometime. I'm afraid I've yet to see a game so far.""

Mon-El has posed:
Another sigh at the comment about getting a handle on himself. "I know. I'm trying. But maybe if I can't figure it out on my own soon, letting them handle it for me would be for the best anyway." he says, his gaze falling for a moment. However, Laurel's words do serve to encourage him a bit. "I hope not." he replies to not forseeing any further problems. "Although last night I almost destroyed a restaurant in Canada because Glorith tried to uhm...make me fall in love with her again. Except her mind control spell just kind of...sent me into a frenzy of sorts." Hey, at least he's honest.

He stares at Bombshell as she describes football, blinking while again trying to make sense of what she's talking about. "Pussies? Like--they became cats?" Yeah those furry mammalian things. That sometimes talk. "Oh, so Amy is your birth name. I see. Well I can call you Bombshell instead if you would prefer it."

Bombshell has posed:
"I don't know what apropros means. Why do you know more English than I do? Or... do you guys speak the same language on Daxam was it you called it? Do you guys speak the same language or did you learn ours? Or is it some kind of translator thingy? Do you have a robot in your ear?" She's only half kidding, she's also quite curious. "Eh. Football is okay. A whole lot of nothing happens a lot. Football is made more fun by hanging out with friends. So next time there's a big game on I'll invite you guys over. Except I don't have cable so no I won't. Uhhh... not sure then. But we can get together and watch a game." She flashes them both a smile, then frowns a bit at Lar. "Don't worry Lar. Laurel and I can stop you from doing anything dumb today. So just have fun okay? Enjoy the day. Don't know who Glorith is, but sounds like she needs an ass kicking. Mind control is not cool. Huh... wonder if I'm susceptible to it.... hope not." She does nod her head to the question about her name. "I don't like people knowing my actual name. I've got parents that could be in trouble if I pissed off the wrong people and they knew my name. In private is fine. So when we get together to watch football or something. But out in public I definitely would prefer Bombshell."

Andromeda has posed:
"Apropos is Greek, really. Appropriate. I learned Greek as well as English because there was talk of visiting the Themyscirans-" Laurel trails off and then takes a deep breath. "We do have a translator that we can refer to but I made a point of studying the language carefully. We- um. :Learn very quickly. As part of the powers we received." She takes a deep breath and holds it for a little bit before shifting her weight slightly to the left. "Bombshell." A beat."I think we can get cable channels if you'd like to visit - our home." Then Laurel looks over at Lar and adds,"She can visit space, it appears."

Mon-El has posed:
"Glorith is the one who was...well, -partially- responsible for my actions at the museum." Lar explains. "Though that was more my own fault for panicking than this past one was because I wasn't actually in my right mind then." he arches a brow at the ass kicking comment. "She needs to be dealt with, yes. Somehow. But I am not sure if kicking a donkey will do any good towards that effort."

He nods at Laurel's explanation. "No, Daxamite language is different. It was--difficult when I first woke up with the amnesia...I didn't know what anyone was saying. I'm glad we do learn fast so that problem went away fairly quickly." He seems confused at Bombshell when she goes back and forth about coming over to watch football. "You don't have a cable?" That seems weird. "I could--" Then Laurel makes it clear she's talking about certain channels. "Oh--um, right." He blushes a little.

"Right, Bombshell only in public." he nods at the request not to use her real name in public spaces. A curious glance is directed toward Laurel. "Who are the Themiscirans? Is that another group like the Justic League?"

Bombshell has posed:
"Oh so now you're bragging on your mad language skills." Bombshell winks at Laurel, a smirk pulling across her dilustel plated lips. "You also didn't tell me what it means amidst all your bragging." She barks a quick laugh as they push through finding their way to their section. "Not bad seats, pretty close to mid rink." She scoots in and takes her seat, settling into it. "Do you... live in space?" She asks, raising a metallic brow at Laurel and Lar. "Kicking a donkey what does... no I mean her ass." Bombshell hops out of her chair for a moment to pat her own a couple times for emphasis, then sits back down and shakes her head. "See, that's the problem with book learned languages. So literal." Bombshell shakes her head, then nods it, then shakes it again. "They're Amazons. Wonder Woman is one of them. They're... not like the justice league, but are a group yeah."

Andromeda has posed:
"Mmm? Appropriate. Is what it means. Releated to the subject at hand," Laurel replies, twisting to slip into a seat beside Bombshell as she does so. "We do live in space, actually. Well. Not in space. O na ship." Laurel nods once at this, tiltign her head slightly as she does so. "Ass means rear end, I believe, Uncle Lar. It's a phrase for attacking and subduing someone." That is stated in a serious tone, almost reverentially shared as if that information were something hardwon and precious. "If you'd like to help us, hh, kick Glorith's ass I would be more than happy to have you join us, Bombshell."

Bombshell has posed:
"Yeah. Like when you were sick Lar. And I erased that building with your face." She flashes him a wide grin. "That was an ass kicking. THough I've been told that wouldn't have been so easy had you not been sick. So... maybe I should check my own bragging." Bombshell is grinning though, happy to have friends to hang out with and a game to watch, which she is even as the conversation is going on. "Uhhh..." Bombshell puffs out one cheek, turning her head to glance at the pair. "I dunno. The super heroine thing isn't really me. But... I also don't like when people mess with my friends..." She hrmmms softly to herself and leans back, then lurches to her feet, shouting something at a ref who just let a player get away with a pretty nasty high sticking hit. There's some expletives shouted, mostly related to the quality of his mother's blood line.

Andromeda has posed:
Laurel joins in the shouting until she is slightly red in the face, gesturing furiously as she does. Most likely Lar has never seen her so agitated. In this case the young woman is almost hopping out of her seat. After a moment she drops back down, however, turning slightly toward Bombshell and nodding a few times. "I understand. It's a standing offer, though." Laurel is still smiling despite everything, tilting her head slightly as she does. "No pressure. But we can still see about aranging a hockey game, I think..."
