Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Kid Omega, Phoenix

Kid Omega has posed:
It had been 547 days since the last riot at Xavier's and 547 days since Quentin Quire had been expelled. Coincidence? Likely not. And yet, here he is, the magenta mohawked making his way to the on the school door dressed in a magenta jacket, over a white t-shirt with a crudely drawn slogan proclaiming: 'I'm really Mystique'

Assuming nobody challenges him or the school's security system doesn't zap him, he strolls in like he owns the place, his mind sweeping out to find, Jean, Scott or old Chuckles himself.

Grinning broadly, and for the benefit of the non-telepaths, he declares "I'm baaaack," as he walks through the doors spreading his arms wide.

Phoenix has posed:
Some students are in the main foyer, but its dinner time in the school and most of them are in the dining hall at the tables like Hogwarts... the ones who are in the main foyer just look over toward the doors and stare at the man. One of them bites into an apple. "Who the hell are you?" He asks, a teenager in his late teens, likely a Senior in HS level.

Jean was coming out of the west wing doorways from the dining hall and entering into the hall, she was on her way toward the main foyer... but she was several steps away yet, her eyes were down on her tablet computer as she passed underneath the light fixtures hanging from the archeways in the hallway.

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin frowns. Really, a year and a half and they forget who he is. Ingrates. He was going to have to do something about that. For a moment Quentin considers making the guy with the apple shove it where the sun doesn't shine, but Jean's arrival stops him. He was here to ask a favor not start another riot.

"You're lucky," he says to the mutant in question, before he makes his way over to where Jean studies her tablet. << Professor Grey >> he says mind to mind. << Mind if we chat? >>

Phoenix has posed:
The three elder classmen in the foyer glance over to the Vice Principal when she appears in the mouth of the west wing hallway, then they glance back at Quentin, the one who spoke to him smirks and the trio turn to make their way back toward the dining hall.

Jean, new to the Vice Principal job since Quentin last left, paused in the hallway archway and looked to Quentin. She picked up his mental message, but she chose to speak normally.

"Quentin." The twenty three year old VP said, walking toward him. "Welcome back." She said at him. "How are you doing?" She'd start with the normal pleasantries. Jean was dressed in a red sweater and black slacks with black shoes, her firey hair done up in a bun atop the crown of her head and she was wearing some black framed glasses over her green eyes.

Kid Omega has posed:
Right, Jean had been sort of dead around the time of Quentin's expulsion. Or was it just afterwards? Either way for someone who professed to loathe Xavier's he did like to keep up on its goings on so he was fully aware of Jean's role here at the Prison X.

And really, of all the people at Xavier's, Jean had been the one he most wanted to meet. She came back from the dead. That didn't happen everyday. "I should say welcome back as well," he says. "Though it seems insufficient given the circumstances of your return." His mind probes at her, sort of like someone would poke something they weren't sure was real or not. And yeah, it was kind of rude, but he was curious!

"And I'm doing alright, was hoping I might ask a favor though, and brought a gift as well."

Phoenix has posed:
An inhale was taken and Jean slowly released it moments later. She felt him poking around inside her mind, she had defenses up to block most but surface level searching. Jean was well versed in trying to be a polite-telepath. She was training herself every moment of the waking day not to use her mental powers on oehters, unless she was given reason to do-so... Quentin hadn't given her such reason to do it to him, yet.

Jean summoned a smile for him, it was faint but calm and kind. "Thank you." She softly said to his welcoming her. "It has been an interesting year, to say the least." She continued, as she walked toward him but paused and then motioned toward the east. "Would you like to have a seat?" She said, pointing toward some nice chairs setup along the wall in the foyer next to a table with potted flowers on it.

Kid Omega has posed:
Obviously, Quentin didn't have the same scruples when it came to his powers, though finding rock hard defenses and very little of note, Quentin stops his poking and flops into the offered seat.

The pot of flowers is lifted and moved telekinetically to another table, to clear their line of sight while they talked. "Thanks," he says about the seat as he takes a flash drive out of his pocket and sets it down where the flowers had been. "And not sure what's weirder, if I could sense something different about you, or that you seem totally normal," he remarks which for Quentin was small talk as he fished around in his coat pocket for something. What he finds is a flash drive and he sets it down where the flowers had been. "Anyhow, wanted to give you guys a gift, this is a suit for Maya, should keep her cold thing contained. Well, it's the design, you guys have all the fancy fabrication stuff for your yellow and black spandex."

Phoenix has posed:
Jean watched the flowers hover through the air to the table he moved them to and then she sat down on the other chair across from him with her tablet computer resting atop her thighs. She looked at him from behind those black rimmed glasses and when he sat the flash drive down on the table it took her a moment to remember who he was speaking of.

"Maya Caldwell." Jean then said. "I haven't had an opportunity to speak with her yet." She said while leaning forward to take the flash drive and slide it over the table and into her hand's palm. Jean glanced down at it. "What motivated you to provide the young lady with this?" She asked then, looking back up at him.

Jean hadn't commented on whether she was 'normal' or not. Pointedly.

Kid Omega has posed:
"Well, one, I am all about helping my fellow mutants, especially the youth. Two, I met her the other day, her mutation interested me," Quentin says simply. Like designing the suit overnight was no big deal and for him, to be honest it wasn't. "Can't quite figure out how to get her to be able to eat warm food without it feeling like she's eating lava short of power negation, but I'll get there. For now, I've got this."

Phoenix has posed:
Jean had been given a brief rundown of Maya's situation, but no one had said anything about it being a Red-Alert-type thing for her to immediately rush to attend to. Jean's green eyes looked down at the flash drive in her hand and then she wrapped her fingers around it and set it in her lap.

"Well." She said to him then with a gentle dip of her pointed chin in a nod. "Thank you, Quentin. I am sure that Maya will be very grateful for this. Or I hope so. I will provide the schematic to Hank immediately and we'll set off in producing it for the young lady."

Jean showed another little smile that vanished as fast as it came. "So this was the favor? Make sure that she received the suit?" Jean asked of him then.

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin nods distractedly as if now that it had been handed off, the suit no longer mattered. And it might not, his brain was always moving on to the next big thing. "No, given the Xavier's philosophy of helping wayward mutants, I figured her getting the suit was a given. I actually was hoping I might be able to make use of one of the labs here for a time. I have some projects I am working on, and well, despite our philosophical differences, vis a vis the human problem you guys do have kick ass tech here. So, I thought I'd ask if I can use it, I can promise you, anything I work on here will be for the good of mutant kind and if you've got any work that Beast or the others can't handle, I'm happy to lend my intellect and hands to the job." Well, to a certain value of happy.

Phoenix has posed:
Jean's head moved in a simple nod to his words about the suit. If it truly could benefit one of the new students here at the school then she was eager to get it to the young lady, to help her and to showcase how this was a place for mutants to find peace and comfort.

AT the rest of what Quentin proposed, Jean seemed to take a moment to consider it all. She glanced away to some students who were moving up the main staircase toward the second level...

"I don't see why that wouldn't be an issue." She said softly then to Quentin, her green eyes returning to him. "I'd like it if you spoke with Hank before he found you within the labs though." She'd suggest. "Would you also be wanting to stay on property, with an assigned room?" She'd ask further then. "Or is this searching for permission to stop by when th eneed presented itself to you?"

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin, blinks behind the frames of his glasses, his mismatched eyes studying Jean with a bit of surprise and suspicion. She'd said yes. And she had said yes, easily. He wasn't sure how to take that, either they were nicer than he thought here or he was a failure as a mutant firebrand. He pushes it back and shakes his head. "Nah, got my own place, can fly out when I need to, but thanks," he pauses then lips pursed. "You really meant that didn't you?" he asks suddenly. "You would let me stay here?" it was sort of mindblowing.

"And yes, I'll let Hank know before I show up. Wouldn't want him to be all 'my stars and garters' now would we?" he smiles.

Phoenix has posed:
Jean couldn't help but show a faint smile at that last part, because that was very much what Hank was like... and who knows, he may even utter that over the idea of allowing Quentin Quire into his labs.

"Quentin." Jean said in a soft voice. "I know that you have had a troubled past here... but this place is meant to be a home for our kind, so long as the adhere to the same guidelines that the rest of us adhere to. Peace and striving to better our kind as a whole. If that can be maintained? Of course you have a place here to stay."

"If you truly are looking to help mutant kind with your vast intelligence, then you're already reaching in the same direction as us... So not to ride on the same path would be counter productive."

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin doesn't need to read minds to tell what's behind Jean's smile. "Right?" he asks her, he can practically imagine Beat's reaction. Really, he's looking forward to it.

He snorts at the rest, "You know with an attitude like that, you make it really hard to be rebel, you know that right?" he asks brow arched, and a faint frown on his lips. "But sure, while I've got lab privileges, I'll do my best to live by the rules according to Chuckles. That good enough?" he asks.

Phoenix has posed:
Jean showed a little smile across the table between them and she gave him a light single nod of her head. "That is all I personally ask." She told him before she went to rise up to her feet and she held up the flashdrive, indicating it. "Thank you for this. I'll make sure it getes put into motion as soon as possible."

Jean would hesitate then before she added. "Its good to see you again, Quentin. Which, I know probably sounds odd, but... its honest. And people aren't honest nearly as much as they should be."

Jean would then extend her right hand to him with her tablet computer tucked beneath her bicep against her side.

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin hops up with the help of a little telekinetic shove, and takes the offered hand. "You're right about the honesty," he says shaking her hand a little limply, like he wasn't used to doing that. "But it's good to see someone around here isn't full of shit."

Letting go of her hand he says, "I'll head out now, get out of your hair, I'll give the school a call before I drop in again, and, thanks."
