Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Kid Omega, Glacier

Kid Omega has posed:
Really, Quentin should have let Beast handle delivery, so far none of the girls heading into the dorms were willing to deliver Maya's suit. Apparently Quentin had a reputation or something, go figure. So instead he sent someone in to find her, and plunked his ass down on a chair to wait for her. As he waited he chugged from a can of Monster energy drink and continued to toy with the night's research in the model of Beat's lab he created in his mental construct of Omega City.

For his part, Quentin looked a little worn out, as befits an all night science session, he's still dressed in his usual fashion, a magenta jacket, torn jeans, combat boots and a t-shirt that proclaimed: I'M REALLY MYSTIQUE.

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell is soon escorted out by one of the other girls, and stops just short of Quentin. She eyes the shirt for a moment, then, "Ah, y-...you probably shouldn't be wearing that around here, you know." She hesitates, then, "How do I know you, uh...-aren't- her?"

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin holds up a finger as he chugs the rest of his can of monster. No not the middle finger, his index one, to say, just a moment. When he's done, the can, is tossed, guided by a dose of TK into the nearest trash can. "I know, and that's the point. She can be anyone, hence the whole manhunt thing the authorities are doing? Totally adorable."

Though to prove he's him, Quentin rises out of his seat, like literally right up out of the seat and floats in the air for a bit before coming back down. "Though I am pretty sure she can't do that." He glances over to one of the quaint little tables with the vase of flowers on them that seemed to be everywhere in this place, the one near him has a neatly folded piece of clothing on it, along with the vase. "She also can't make you one of those," he adds a touch of pride creeping into his perma-bored tone. "Your suit is ready to try out."

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell eyes Quentin as he rises from his chair, shoulders relaxing. Seems she's satisfied. As he looks over to the table, Maya's gaze follows his. She steps over to the outfit and picks it up, gasping as it unfolds. "Oh! O-Oh, wow, it's--Ah, I-I'll be right back." She lets out an uncharacteristically excited squeal, then scurries off to her room, shouting a "Thank you!!" back to Quentin, before shutting the door.

Two minutes later, she reemerges from the room, wearing the bodysuit. It highlights her lanky frame, for better or worse, but more importantly, there's no annoying cold coming off of her anymore. She's a -lot- more comfortable to be around. As Maya approaches Quentin, her head is down, eyeing the outfit and tugging at the sleeves. "This is...ah, wow, it's...i-it's like night and day. So much cooler in here."

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin smirks at the squeal and waits, poking at science in Omega City for the two minutes it takes to emerge wearing the suit. He gives an approving nod to his handywork. Beast had been right, blue was a good colour for it, because of course he'd suggest that, and in all it seemed to be a good fit. He lifts himself out of his chair, standing, hand on his chin. "Not bad, huh? You should be good in that thing up until 135 degrees and it'll beat the hell out of blankets for staying cool. Though if it gets really hot this summer, use the gloves and the hood for maximum effect. Anyhow, you happy with it? If not I am sure Dr. McCoy can tinker with it some."

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell nods rapidly. "Y-Yeah, yeah, it's...it's great!" There's a sudden bit of hesitance in her voice. "J-Just a bit, uh...self-conscious with how, uhm...f-form fitting it is, but I'm sure it's, ah, something I'll get used to in time." She smiles to Quentin. "So, you, ah...aren't feeling any...coldness? I, uh, I kinda wanna try it out now..."

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin seems pleased with Maya's reaction so far. At the part about it being form fitting, he says, "Thin enough to wear clothing over it, if modesty's a thing to worry about. Even one of those X-Men suits, if that's where you see yourself going."

When she mentions testing it out, "Well, outside is a bit cold, but there's the kitchens, and oh a fire place in the study I think."

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell shuffles awkwardly a bit. "I-I guess. We'll see." She shakes her head. "So, uh, a fireplace in the lobby? Ah, sure, yeah. Lead the way." She nods and gestures down the hall for Quentin.

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin does lead the way. "So, get up to anything fun, since the whole taco thing?" he asks as he makes his way down the stairs to the lobby, ignoring some of the looks he gets from people as he passes. "Me, I somehow got Jean to give me access to the school labs, for research and stuff, I also brought up your food problem with Beast, we're working on it among other things."

When they get down to the lobby, Quentin floats himself down the last few steps, and pulls a couple of chairs across the floor over by the fire, all with the power of his mind. He smirks in the face of a couple of the dirty looks he gets from people startled by the chairs moving across the floor and plunks down in one of the chairs. "Have a seat," he says nodding to the roaring fire. "We should see how it works in just a few minutes."

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell follows behind Quentin, stepping carefully in the unfamiliar jumpsuit. "Food pr--Oh, the, uh, heat. I-I mean, it's not really that big a problem, but...I appreciate it." She nods and slowly lowers herself into the chair. "...You know, ah...for someone who doesn't like Xavier, you...uh, y-you sure spend a lot of time around here." She lets out a weak chuckle.

Kid Omega has posed:
"It is, especially since it's less a separate problem and is instead a part of your mutation. So, it's a pain in my ass, to try to figure out how to take care of one without taking care of the other, because I don't do power negation, but I'll get there. It just might take a bit, I'm also trying to neuter one of the fundamental forces of the universe, eg. magnetism so that Magneto can finally be taken down. So, busy mental run time and all of that."

He jerks his head towards the fire, "How's it feeling?"

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell sighs heavily. "Warm on my face and hands, but...fine, aside from that." Another weak chuckle. She lifts an arm and eyes the material. "Whatever you did, it...i-it's really working, heh. Oh, uh, there's supposedly some sort of...free clothes closet here, or...something. Do you know where that is? All I have is my jeans and tanktop." She leans back into her chair comfortably.

Kid Omega has posed:
"Heard about it, never used it obviously," Quentin says about the free clothes closet as he looks over his own wardrobe. Plus when he came to Xavier's he had ridiculously wealthy parents and the free clothes closet was for people who didn't. "I'm not sure they've got stuff your height, but you never know, it's a mutant school, tall and thin is not as weird as it gets around here."

"Anyhow, glad it's working so far, nothing much we can do about your face, unless you want to wear a mask all the time, which could be an interesting aesthetic choice, but no matter what the Dread Pirate Roberts says about their comfort, I don't see it being a tend that's going to catch on."

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell sighs and shakes her head. "No, I'm fine without a mask. I'm sure if I need to, I can, ah, put my hands over my face. If it's, l-like...some fiery attack." Going back to the clothes closet, she adds, "Yeah, I was, uh, thinking the same thing, too. But...ah, -would- they bother spending the money to get, like...really, really large clothes for the...like, -two- huge guys here? I haven't really seen anyone else here with my, uh, build, so it's...kind of the same thing..." She frowns and stares into the fire for a moment.

Kid Omega has posed:
"These guys?" Quentin asks waving his hand around at the school as a whole. "Yes, yes they would. As much as bitch about this place, they do actually give a shit about the whole refuge for mutants thing they're doing, and they really care, you should have seen how unhappy Beast was at missing that you had a problem that could be solved with a little application of science. So, yeah, check the closet, if they don't have it, trust me they'll get it for you."

"And to your earlier question about why I hang out here, I mean, other than Xavier's dreaming when it comes to human mutant friendship. I don't really hate this place, it's good for what it is, I just think it can be better."

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell sighs. "Well...If it's not a, uh, conflict of ideologies, like Magneto and him, why not...-try- and make it better? See if there's some way to...er, m-make things better with Xavier, maybe something to prove you've 'turned a new leaf' or whatever, and...I-I dunno, talk to him? Give him suggestions?" She shakes her head. "Unless you've...already done that, I guess..."

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin steeples his fingers as he thinks that over, "Oh there's definitely a conflict of ideologies. I am more on Magneto's side of things than Xavier's, there's going to be a war one day, nothing we can do to stop that, but I disagree with a lot of Magneto's ideas too. Anyhow, I've definitely made suggestions, heck, my whole riot was a 'suggestion' but I dunno. I think old baldy is just too set in his ways listen."

Or at least that's what Quentin needed to believe to justify his whole status as mutant rebel. However, Jean and Beast had done a lot to take the wind out of his sails by accepting him back like nothing ever happened.

"I'll think on," he says finally before asking, "How's the suit? Still working?"

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell winces at Quentin's suggestion. "...Yeah, it's still working." She goes silent, opting not to reply, since she knows little about the conflict as a whole. Instead, she goes back to the suit. "It won't, uh, rip, will it? I mean, I-I'm not really one for...close combat, at least not until I'm behind several feet of ice, but...still. I won't have to worry about that, will I?"

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin lowers his hands, smacking his palms into the arms of the chair, "Nope," he says. "It's made out of the same stuff the Fantastic Four use for their suits. So, unless you're fighting Superman or the Hulk, it shouldn't tear," he confirms. "Really should have grabbed some of that fabric for myself, but anyhow, it's good stuff."

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell lets out a frosty breath. "Wow...Th-That's, uh...pretty cool. You're sure you, er...don't...want something for it? I mean, it feels like you're doing a lot for me..."

Kid Omega has posed:
Quentin blinks, "Want anything?" he asks sounding actually perplexed by the question. "For two night's work? Nah, this was just something to do, we're good." He sounds like he means it too. It did get him back into Xavier's after a fashion and that alone gave him a lot to think about so that was more than enough for him. "Just glad it works," he says before he lifts himself out of his seat. "Anyhow, I hope you enjoy, and we'll no doubt see each other around," he says as he prepares to head out to attend to business in town.

Glacier has posed:
Maya Caldwell blinks rapidly at Quentin, then sighs, sending a cloud of frosty air his way. "If you're sure, then. Thank you, Quentin. Really. I'll...ah, probably train in this a bit, get comfortable." She smiles to him. "S-See you around."
