Daredevil has posed:
Outside it is frighteningly cold, the winter well under way and lashing the great city of New York with temperatures that it usually only has to deal with for a few days a year. But now, today, they're on their third week of intense cold and the snow has reached that horrible grimy greyness that it usually only reaches in the early weeks of March. But inside the Midtown courtrooms it's very warm, the temperature always seeming to fluctuate between utterly freezing and boiling. And Judge Henderson... he always prefers to err on the side of warmth.
So it's in a curiously warm court room that Matt Murdock pled his case before the eccentric Judge. He was alway a character, an old man almost in his eighties who has heard it all and more what with the madness of the last five years. So if he was aware of it, that his court was currently hosting two super powered beings trying to decide the fate of a third... he probably wouldn't mind too much.
He was the sort of Judge who was all out of effs to give, who knew he was lucky to be alive in this day and age and was just trying to do what good he could in the remaining years of his law career. He's the sort of Judge that during a year so cold as this that he's thrown the doors open of his court room and asked the bailiffs to see if there were any homeless men or women nearby that needed some place warm to rest during the day.
And so it was there, in a court room that had a curious surplus of grocery carts and paper bags strewn about, with some men and women who clearly had seen better days and could probably use a shower, that Matt Murdock spoke.
"Your honor, my client would like to request a recess." The six foot tall redhead of a fella adjusted those crimson lenses on the bridge of his nose, the other hand resting upon the grip of his cane. "A new offer submitted by my honorable counterpart." He gives a nod to the woman across from him at her own seat. "Has come to our attention and we'd like the time to peruse and perhaps come to a settlement."
Judge Henderson looks between the two of them, "Alright, both of you approach the bench."

She-Hulk has posed:
Jennifer Walters stands, automatically straightening her suit as she does. She's dressed in a charcoal black suit with a pencil skirt and tailored jacket. Beneath the jacket is a button up light blue shirt.
Although it's hard to tell she stands. It isn't like she becomes vertically imposing as she would in her alter ego. Instead she is around five three and tiny as a mouse. Yet despite her size, she's a formidable force in the courtroom when she wants to be. She carries herself with a surety that is only earned through much time in the courtroom. New lawyers never have that level of confidence. Matt has the same comfort level.
She walks toward the bench. She gives Matt a brief nod as they fall into step beside each other on their approach. When she gets there, she then realizes she looks like a child trying to peer over the top of it since it's so much higher than the room itself. She refuses to stand on tiptoe though. Instead she takes a step backwards so she can see the judge over the edge of the polished wood.

Daredevil has posed:
As for Matt, however, he seems at ease as he moves up to the bench, his cane lightly clicking on the ground as he walks. While they're getting there he'll whisper to the side with that roguish smile upon his lips, "Want me to get you a box to stand on?"
But perhaps before they get a chance to offer more words to each other, Judge Henderson pipes up, "Alright, you people know this junk is supposed to be taken care of before this gets in front of me? Gonna waste my time?" He leans forwards, his slight southern accent tinging his words.
Up to the Judge, Matt says. "Your honor, if you'll grant me that recess I can refer with my client, we can take the time it needs to peruse the offer fairly and hopefully we'll be out of your hair before the weekend."
But then the Judge turns to Ms. Walters, "Counselor, are your people playing around here? Where's this change of heart come from?"

She-Hulk has posed:
"To be honest, my firm finally pulled their heads out of..." Jennifer realizes what was about to come out of her mouth and shifts gears smoothly. "Clouds so that they could focus on the reality of the situation. I'm not one to play games or waste time. I know that you have many other cases that would be better served being in front of you. My firm wanted to make an example of Mr. Murdock's client. However, our evidence is purely circumstantial, a fact both Mr. Murdock and I are well aware. After much discussion with my supervisors, they have agreed to allow me to negotiate as should have been done in the first place."
She glances over at Matt then back to the Judge. "I apologize for their lack of sense and would ask that you allow Mr. Murdock and I to handle this as it should have been from the beginning."

Daredevil has posed:
The old man lifts his head and takes perhaps entirely too long to stare at the clock as it slowly ticks away the seconds behind them. An old grocery cart creaks faintly as one of the new visitors to the courtroom digs into its depths in search of something needed. But beyond that silence reigns.
After a long enough pause, Judge Henderson grimaces. "Alright, I figure we'll adjourn for the day. I expect this to be taken care of on your time, and if I see you two on Monday there'll be heck to pay."
Then he leans back and /BANGS/ his gavel, "Court's adjourned for the day, we'll resume on Monday." But he leans forwards, "Or will we? Get out of here."
And Murdock, he doesn't have to be asked twice. He steps back and moves towards the desk, cane clicking lightly until he's able to find his briefcase. A few clicks as he closes it and he's smiling, shaking hands with his client and sending the man on his way.

She-Hulk has posed:
With the dismissal, Jennifer is heading for her own desk. Her papers are gathered along with folder of photographs. They are tucked into her briefcase. Then her legal pad is added to the contents. She snaps the case shut. She glances over as the client heads off for the time being. Then she focuses on Matt.
"A box? Really? That's the best you've got?" she says in a light, teasing tone as she picks up her briefcase and lets it hang at her right side. It seems awfully large, more like a suitcase due to her size. "I mean that's about like me asking if you 'see' any reason we can't come to an agreement. I've heard your word fu before. You can do so much better than that."
Then she glances at the judge's bench and smirks. "I might need one if we end up here Monday. So I can actually see him when he's ripping my face off verbally."

Daredevil has posed:
The redhead grins to himself with his back to the other attorney, his smile is warm if unseen, but he turns back to her slowly and is already affecting that arrogant and self-assured cock of an eyebrow with his straightening up to his full heat. The cane clicks on the ground as he holds his briefcase in one hand and the cane in the other.
"Oh don't worry about it, counselor. I'm sure you won't be blind to the implications and you'll see reason when you eyeball the counter-offer. Heck I'm sure we'll be able to come eye-to-eye and be able to share the same vision." That smirk comes to life then, but he gives her a nod. "C'mon, I'm starving. Let's get some grub and we can hammer this out."
He turns and starts to walk down the aisle, nudging open the small gate with his knee and gesturing that she should precede him. "I'll be sure to pick a place that has a big enough booster seat for you."

She-Hulk has posed:
A soft giggle comes from Jennifer at his visual commentary. She picks up her jacket and slings it over her other arm then slips through the gate he's holding open. "Or I could just slip into something more comfortable and we wouldn't have to worry about that at all," she says. Before hastily adding. "Not /that/ way, counsellor. Get your mind out of the gutter."
It's not likely that his mind was in the gutter but she has to tease him anyway. "I always like hashing out details over Italian food. The more carbs the better. Want to hit Antonio's?" she asks as she stops at the double doors out of the courtroom. She pushes one open, with a little effort, then slips though but stands on the other side holding it open so he can exit before she releases the heavy wooden door.

Daredevil has posed:
"Antonio's?" Matt's brow furrows as he walks along with her, moving towards that door with his cane lightly clicking along. He cocks his head to the side as he passes her and out into the hallway, the place still abustle though it's still a little bit before quitting time there. At least they have a jump on the weekend.
"I don't think I've been there yet. Is hat the little place just up 54th?" He asks, then adds. "Next to the big dry cleaners." He seems for a moment to try and remember the name but gives up as he turns and starts to move down the hall. "But that works. Besides I'm sure we'll come to an agreement before the breadsticks arrive."
At that he continues on, his steps even and easy despite the occasional clack from the cane's tip.
