Cast of Characters: Red Robin, Alfred Pennyworth, Catwoman, Robin (Wayne)

Red Robin has posed:
The sad fact is that Billionaires are people too, even if they do not think they are. They fall into the hierarchy of needs just like other people. They just have other people to take care of those needs. In this case, that would be one alfred pennyworth, gentleman's gentleman and Timothy J Drake, the ward.

Tim needed out of the house, and honestly helping alfred out is one of the things he likes to do. The older gentleman does not require aid, but Tim likes the quiet time doing normal things. It helps him keep his center.

Also, if you go shopping with Alfred, you know what the choicest items are, and know to ask for them once home. Tim is quietly coveting the treats that a few of the ingredients in the cart are going to become. He helps out, and is making small talk with the older gentleman in an utterly normal manner. "So, that is really it. That is why I cannot keep a girlfriend." Alfred obviously just blew Tim's mind. "You are a genius, Alfred."

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
"You didn't honestly think it was the shoes did you?" Alfred asks while flipping a fresh tomato end over end in his hand. His focus falls the ripe surface of the vegitable as he lowers it softly into the cart. "Once you understand your self, understanding women will come naturally."

His gloved hands move back to the shopping cart pushing it along with grace and care as eyes move about the store looking for the next missing ingredient for the exuberant feast planned for the evenings activities. "and if it doesn't you'll always have a future in skull cracking."

Red Robin has posed:
His deadpan is stolen straight from the older man. "It does pay well." Tim says with a completely straight face. He lets the line linger. "So." Tim says ominously. "I've taken over a bit more of my own laundry. Will you help me learn to cook? Bruce and i were talking. He doesn't care when i leave the house, but we're working on the future." he has the standard reaction to the idea;excitement and trepidation.

Growing up is hard to do, even (especially?) when one is a caped vigilante; it leads to smart people asking dumb questions. "I can still come visit, right? I mean, you. After I move out, and everything." Tim is watching Alfred handle the tomato, trying to figure out what the man is looking for in it. "You don't, uhh, judge me." He's a smart kid, and he'll jump off a building to save a stranger, but he still lost his parents, and some anxieties never really leave. "I'll miss you, you know, when I go." which explains the shopping trips. Tim might be a few years out, but he's smart enough to soak up the time while it is there. His body language is rare for him-- anxious uncertainty.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
The cart is pushed along for some time before coming to a stop before the sugar. "Obviously I haven't done a good enough job if you're planning on missing me." A fresh bag is grabbed from the bottom shelf. "The whole point is to have you hating me so you'll fly off and be your own man." The bag is weighed in his hands for a few moments before being sat back onto the shelf a second bag grabbed from the rack.

A light smirk comes across Alfreds face for just a moment. "Of course I'll help teach you to cook, and of course you're always welcome to visit." He pauses finally placing the sugar into the cart. "Even Jason's still more then welcome home."

Red Robin has posed:
"I know they are dumb questions." Tim admits as he tries to help. "I don't know why I, like, even have to ask." Tim admits it. He pauses, "Well, i know why, but I don't want to admit it." Because it hurts to talk about.

Alfred's humor and his reassurance put the young man at ease. "You were feeling the firmness of the tomato. And the consistency of the skin." not questions. He watches the older man openly, but that is just Tim; he's working on things.

"Of course you would say he can come home, Alfred. You're the best person I have ever met." It is is not a compliment. Tim says it with the quiet confidence of a scientific fact.

The talk of feelings quite done, Tim turns his gaze about the store. It lingers on one of the shop girls for a moment, then a couple of other patrons. He doesn't stare, but Tim is definitely people watching. He gives a soft, warm sigh. "Thanks, Alfred."

Catwoman has posed:
Selina finally shows up with a brown leather jacket that would show off her midriff if she wasn't wearing a lightish tan top underneath tucked into a kakhi colored pair of pants. She then wears a pair of Toms flats and a she's looking shiek even if she's 'slumming' it today to head out towards the grocery store.

The burglar is pushing along her black cart with the green accents and the squeeky wheel, something even the upper crust of humanity sometimes gets stuck with, this causes her to roll her vibrant green eyes heavily when it darts heavily towards Alfred and Tim's cart with wild abandon.

"Oh, excuse me. This his is just awful!"

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
"We'll make a five star chef of you yet." Alfred states firmly, also grabbing some flour for later from a nearby shelf. His cart fairly barren but filling up fast as they travel from one isle to the next in this supermarket.

Then on comes the cart. With nary a moments hesitation Alfred jumps into action darting the cart to one side spinning it so that it's between Tim, and himself a two layered defense from the oncoming cart. Albeit a defense that proves completely unnecessary yet one which would look fascinating from a glance to the casual observer.

"Ah Ms.Kyle, what a pleasant surprise." Stated calmly once he recognizes the person in question who just about ran head long into the twos cart. He flashes a smile of his pearly whites and a bit of confident one at that.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
There are things one likes to do while they heal. For Damian, it was to join in on household things. The youngest Wayne had been perusing the citrus, and had picked a grouping of oranges that were unusually large for the season. "You know, keeping up vitamin c in the winter months used to be difficult." The young man in the casts rests the bag in the cart while he hears the telltale squeak of a dodgy cart slamming into the side of theirs.

Luckily for Damian, he didn't hold out his hands to try and stop the renegade cart. "Umm, are you alright, Miss?" he asks, immediately becoming the Damian Wayne the reporters are used to seeing, a bit happy and much less angry.

Red Robin has posed:
"That is one messed up cart, uhh, Ms. Kyle?" Tim says with owlishly big eyes. His left brow awkwardly tilts up at Alfred. He nods at Damian. "I can only imagine." He agrees, similarly regressed into his less capable persona. "Please, let me get another cart for you, uhm, ma'am?" He has been breathed on the woman, but he cannot recall with his untrammeled memory ever actually meeting her when they were not wearing a mask. He moves to get the lady a cart. "I will be right back!"

Catwoman has posed:
"Miss Kyle, yes." She says with a knowing glance towards Alfred though she doesn't push her luck again and simply smiles before looking over at the young Tim walking away trying to be polite. "This one is already full, don't worr-" She stops her comment and sighs as he's already gone. "Alfred, how are you doing? It's been too long!"

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
"Perfectly amicable, just doing a bit of shopping with the grandchildren" Alfred explains with another smile before patting Damian on the shoulder. His stance one of confidence and grace as he speaks.

Alfred is dressed in an alabaster suit hand crafted by the finest of artisans. His shoes have been polished to a mirror finished and head to toe he's been dressed to the nines.

"Terribly sorry for the inconvenience by the way, some people only want to help" His attention drifting slightly as he grabs another bag from the shelf and places it into his cart, admittedly still on a mission to finish this shopping list.

Red Robin has posed:
How else do you get a look at her cart? This is next level criminal profiling. Like knowing her diet. Yeah... it really was just a chance to get another cart. This one doesn't squeak, and there is no raggedy wheel. It is a nice cart.
He settles the new cart next to the old. "Here?" He says oh so helpfully. He does not simply reach into the cart but merely looks willing to help. "Any friend of Alfred. Are you a housekeeper?" That felt good. He'll remember that the next time I whip is cracking next to his face.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The youngest Wayne looks up at Selina, remaining quiet for now, but Alfred seems to know her. She just observed their interactions. The pat on the shoulder has Damian give a bit of a smile at Alfred. Young Wayne was dressed in a snappy suit, a boy after his own father it seems, though there's no Gotham Academy crest on his jacket.

The quip from Tim gets Damian's eyes to go wide before he slaps his cast on Tim's arm, followed by a small yelp of pain.

Catwoman has posed:
"Thank you." She says with a surprised smile before it's wiped away in a single sentence. The woman looks back to Alfred with her eyes wide as saucers and in what seems like a huff, she takes her cart and pulls it away from the Wayne's cart and the fresh one Tim brought over.

Selina looks over her shoulder and scoffs but doesn't speak a word. No she's just going to go her own way after that sick burn.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
Alfred is silent for a long moment before his eyebrow slowly begins to raise. His eyes fall on Tim, not having missed the subtle dig given in the direction of the lovely Miss Kyle. "Timothy, remember what I said earlier about getting women to like you?" Spoken in a deadpan voice.

Red Robin has posed:
"Bu-" Tim says, looking supremely surprised. "Wha--?" He mock-winces at the arm strike. Playing the part. Yeah, it was small. It was petty, but that damned whip really hurts! Tim turns towards the new cart. He murmurs, "Here. I will put this back?"

Tim has to clear his throat to avoid smiling. "I was just asking?" he says oh-so innocently. "I'll not be so insensitive in the future." He promises, and he goes to push the cart on back, which is a real good way to hide a smile. he forces himself to sneeze though, to break the facial expression. "Sorry. 'scuse me." He quietly pushes the cart back towards the front.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian manages a genuine laugh at the situation. Call it brotherly schadenfreude. "Yeah Tim, good luck getting someone asking them if they are housekeepers and butlers and scullery maids."

Damian starts to chuckle gently at this whole situation. Though he isn't so bold enough to go after Selina, he seems quite content to be an observer here.
