Batman has posed:
Gotham late at night, an hour before dawn, is the only time when the city seems to have an element of peace to it. Just that hour before the people of the day begin to awaken and those who haunt the night are ending their efforts, winding down for the transition, just waiting for the creeping beams of light to inch their way over the horizon and bring the day back to the great city.
Yet on the Eastern edge of the city, a lone dark silhouette stands on the edge of a building, looking over the night and reviewing the handiwork of himself and his team. The small data display on his wrist feeds some snippets of the actions, flickers of light, the vital signs of his team accompanying each conflict. Something in the information causes him to frown even as he shakes his head slightly.
"Oracle, remind me to speak with Batgirl and schedule another training session for her with Robin." He lowers his hand from his ear at the affirmative given from the woman on the other end of the line, but then his brow furrows.
Distantly, Randy Marts of the Action 7 News Team is hovering over the I-95 that leads North out of Gotham, the helicopter whirring steadily. But it didn't have the Dark Knight's attention until there was an abrupt crackle and a /boom!/ as smoke and flames began to trail out of the exhaust of the vehicle, even as it begins swerving wildly to the side, knocking the man inside hard against the glass of the cockpit.

Shazam has posed:
It's not easy being a superhero! Even if you're the chosen Champion of the Wizard and known as the "World's Mightiest Mortal", Billy Batson, erstwhile WHIZ Media ace reporter and otherwise known as Captain Marvel (the male one) still has homework to do as a high school student! Why he is flying over Gotham this night is a mystery, especially since everyone knows Gotham is BATMAN's territory, and NO ONE messes with the Dark Knight... not if you want to have clean undies anyways. It's a good thing too, because when the Action 7 helicopter's tail explodes and starts to spin wildly out of control and begin to plunge towards the ground, Billy is there and says, "Holy moley! Gosh, that's not good, I better do something! Captain Marvel to the rescue!"

The red and gold and white caped hero swoops down from the sky and flying underneath the helicopter grabs it and begins to float down towards the ground and says to the pilot and Randy Marts inside, "Gosh! Are you guys ok in there? Hang on, I'll have you down safely in a jiffy!" He casually reaches out with a free hand and catches a piece of debris before it can crash to the ground and potentially cause propertu damage and injuries or worse!

Batman has posed:
From up in the sky in that blur of movement that is Captain Marvel bursting into action, the Dark Knight is a curious counterpart to that super man. Running across the rooftops, cape snapping and flaring behind him as he sprints, he speaks into the comms as he /leaps/ across the building. "Computer, activate Batwing. ETA." He hits the ground rolling even as that helicopter continues to spin, the flames blazing against the sky.
"Forty seven seconds until redezvous." Says the feminine electronic voice while he runs. But at those words he scowls, "Not fast enough!" He leaps, snares a flag pole and uses it to vault up back onto the further roof, then fires his grapple line to snap him forwards with the sharp pull of the device.
But then, as if out of nowhere, Captain Marvel flashes into the path of the falling helicopter, grabbing hold of it from underneath the vehicle and supporting it as if it were just an Autumn leaf lost on the wind. He hefts it, and inside he'll see the pilot and Randy Marts, both of them with wide eyes and the look of fear in their eyes, then relief. "Oh god, thanks. Thank you so much!"
On the helicopter's radio, a voice comes on and pipes up. "Marts?! What happened!?"
"Just... just we were saved. By Superman."
"What? Then film it, what are we payin' you for?!"
"Oh. Oh right!" And as they're set down, Randy holds up his phone and starts recording.

Shazam has posed:
Billy is in the process of getting the helicopter safely to the ground when he overhears the muted conversation and blinks, saying, "Golly, I'm not Superman! I'm the "World's Mightiest Mortal" Captain Marvel... the male one." Truthfully Billy gets that a lot, and maybe that's a good thing, he is after all, Superman's #1 fan... in his mortal guise is wearing the t-shirt to prove it (underneath his red sweater of course!). That said, a few more seconds and Billy carefully places the helicopter on the ground in a parking lot and the waves at Randy with a goofy grin, "Mr. Marts! Big fan of yours! Gotta go, bye!" With that done and the pilot and Randy safely on the ground Billy flies off and lands in an alley and looks around, making sure no one is watching...

He then straightens and calls out, "SHAZAM!"

Dark clouds gather in the night sky and a bolt of bright white magic lightning explodes out of them and hits Billy, changing him from his ideal heroic form into just plain old Billy Batson, and he then begins to walk unobtrusively out of the alley intending on catching a bus out of Gotham. It's too much to hope for that Batman didn't know about this encroachment on HIS city, but maybe as Billy Batson, he could sneak out of Gotham without having to answer for his transgression!

Batman has posed:
"Still," Randy continues to hold the phone up even as he pushes open the door and gets out quickly while the back of the helicopter continues to surge with flames and flicker. "Thank you so much, Captain Marvel." He smiles and reaches out to try and shake the man's hand, or even grab him for a hug, while the helicopter pilot comes around and rapidly tries to pat him on the shoulder. "Thanks a lot, buddy. Yer a life saver."
But then the hero is able to extricate himself, to fly off leaving the men there as the fire dies out, aided by the stream of fire extinguisher foam while the pilot tries to save the vehicle since hey, those things cost money. But two lives saved, and perhaps more, Captain Marvel is able to make his getaway.
He might even be thinking that he got away with it scot-free as he saunters out of that alleyway, heading towards that bus stop. And then he hears that voice.
"Billy Batson, of Fawcett City." Just a declaration, a call to gain his attention. Should he look back and to that alleyway he'll see the dark silhouette of the man there, seemingly just eyelets in the dark and then becoming more defined as he steps forwards. "That was some good work." Luckily no one else is nearby to hear those words.

Shazam has posed:
GRK! Yep, that was exactly what he hoped to avoid... soiled undies indeed! Billy freezes and does the whole deer in the headlights and 90 degree head turn to look back into the alley when he hears that voice. He gulps and says, "Gosh... I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you know who I am Mr. Batman sir... being the "World's Greatest Detective" and all. I wasn't trying to poach on your territory, honest! Wait... what... good work?" He asks bewildered, the Batman, actually complimenting him? He tilts his head and says, "Holy moley, has there been an invasion of body snatchers, or mind controlling demons or what?" He turns to face the alley fully and peers into the shadows.

Batman has posed:
Another step forwards and the light slides over the man's form, the cape he wears hiding him almost entirely save for that cowl. Irisless eyes level on his and he tilts his head to the side, perhaps indicating that fallen helicopter, then looks back towards Billy. "You saved the lives of those two men. And anyone the helicopter might have fallen upon." His voice is a steady rumble, a controlled tone as if discussing the weather.
"I wouldn't have been able to get there in time." He folds his arms over his chest, the cape flaring slightly. "So good work. But why are you here?"
Of course there it is, the question, the control. Why is Batson there, is there some danger he needs to know about, and what can he do to handle it? All silent questions asked in that single one voiced.

Shazam has posed:
Of course! Why is he here... that's almost a relief to know that Batman just wants to know what's going on. Billy takes a reflexive step back when Batman comes out of the shadows a bit, he might be immune to fear in his heroic form thanks to the Courage of Achilles, but plain old Billy Batson isn't! He gulps and swallows, "Gosh... why am I here? Well... gee, I mean, I was actually just passing through on my way back to Fawcett when I saw the helicopter in trouble!"

He goes on quickly, "No other reason than that Mr. Batman! I was just heading back to Fawcett, I have school in the morning, and the Wizard sent me to deal with a rogue magician over on the West Coast... funnily enough, it turned out to be a group of goth teens who got a hold of a stolen ancient grimoire from Dr. Strange's library and summoned a minion of Ashtaroth who corrupted one of them and used him to cause some chaos..." He trails off then, oversharing, but heck that's what a simple question from Batman can do, make one spill their entire life stories.

Batman has posed:
A small 'hm' comes from him as he lifts his chin, looking down his nose slightly at the young man. But then he nods, "Then we were lucky." He says even as he turns away and to the side, footsteps silent as he begins to move back into the mouth of the alleyway once again, the contours of the cape seeming to meld with the shadows as he retreats.
But then he pauses, looking over his shoulder, one eyebrow cocking slightly as he something seems to just occur to him. "Unless you're dead set on taking the bus, you could get a ride in the Batwing." He casually offers that to the young man, as if it were something that just generally happens now and then.
He turns back, "I need to stay here, but the autopilot does a decent job." A small half-smirk flickers over his features, but fades as quickly as it arrives.

Shazam has posed:
What? He's offering a ride? That's... Billy doesn't know what to make of this, and it's shown on his face, definitely not a very good poker player is Billy. He's silent for a moment until Batman begins to turn away and then says quickly, "Oh no! That would be swell! Thanks a lot Mr. Batman!" He runs for the Batwing, still bewildered at his good fortune, he could transform and fly of course, but that would attract more attention thanks to his earlier heroics. This way he can get back to his home a little more inconspiciously.
