Martian Manhunter has posed:
Last we left off...

J'onn and Star had come to help negotiate the Union between the Red and White Saturnians, a species created by the Martians of Old to be partners in their space exploration, but holds some of the old grudges between the two Martian Peoples.

The two arrived as Diplomats, J'onn as the representative of the Creator Race, and Star as a neutral third party to help in the negotiations. The two were welcomed by a contingent of White and Red Saturnians, introduced to Jem and Princess of Cha'rissa.

After brief introductions, J'onn and Star were escorted to their state rooms, and were just beginning to discuss the situation when the alarms on the ship sounded... letting them know the ship was under attack.

They both move towards the Bridge of the ship, and find that Jem is there with the Captain of the ship. Captain Kh'arr. Jem asks, "What has happened Captain?" and the White Saturnian's response is short and concise, "They came out of nowhere, and knew just where to hit us! They crippled our shields, communcations, and main drive engines!" Then, after a long pause, he adds "And it looks as if we have been boarded! Currently the Princess is missing, and it is believed the boarding party has captured her."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star closes her eyes instantly upon hearing the dire situation. She scans the immediate area and begins to stretch out her reach, swiftly covering hundreds, then thousands of miles of space for the hearts hardened against love, and those fearful or wanton who may also be involved. "They are still close by. They have not gone far, but the Princess has indeed been taken by the invading parties." She opens her eyes and looks around to those who surround her. "She is a brave soul, and has put on a stoic face, but she is fearful within her heart that she is letting her race down when they need her most."

Then, looking to J'onn, Star Sapphire continues, "We need to find her, J'onn. We must, and soon."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
"Thank you Star, it will do Jem and the others well to know that their Princess has not been harmed." J'onn says to her, relief and pride shining through their shared link. "I have a plan, a bit unorthodox, but it will require the help of our Red Saturnian Host..." the Martian's red orbs falling on Jem.

"I will do whatever you require, Creator. I just wish for the Princess to be returned unharmed." His voice calm, but Star can feel in his heart that he is truly worried for the woman he has just met. J'onn nods his head, "Good. Come with me..." J'onn pulls the two aside, away from listening ears, "Jem, you will use your shifting ability to appear as me, and I will appear to become you. I have a sense that the attackers look for you both. I will allow them to capture me, and move to find the Princess on their vessel..." he looks to Star, "...I will hide you, mentally, but you may need to use your own abilities to avoid discovery from their sensors. I am unfamiliar with the scope of your powers. Is that something that can be done, Star?"

Star Sapphire has posed:
"Of course, J'onn. Any office to assist you in this endeavour." J'onn can feel that Star very much wishes to help the races, and to rescue the princess. But he can feel, too, that Star has some trepidation in regard to J'onn's capture by the invaders. "I will protect you, and protect the Princess, as well. However you wish. No matter what it takes."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Nodding once in her direction, sending Star thoughts of surety in his plan and confirming he will also keep his well-being in mind, J'onn looks back to Jem. "Very well. Once it appears that you have been 'captured' then you will go into hiding on the Ship until we can communicate..." J'onn frowns, his eyes looking off as he considers what they know, "This attack was too well coordinated, too perfectly executed, and I have no doubt that someone on board the ship assisted." Focusing back on Jem, he tells the Saturnian, "Your safety is paramount. Only your closest advisors, but I would prefer no one until we return."

Once all is decided, J'onn shifts into the exact likeness of Jem, and the trio head back out to the bridge of the ship. "Hello Creator, Sir, Madame Lantern. We believe the breach occurred near Hall 24 of the Living Quarters..." and before the captain can finish, J'onn says "We will move to investigate. Secure the vessel, and begin repairs..." and then heads off in the direction of Hall 24.

Star Sapphire has posed:
As Star accompanies the to well-meaning imposters, she stretches out her senses to those onboard the ship. She is looking not only for the invaders, but also those who were already onboard, looking for those with deceit and hatred in their hearts, that they might know who has assisted in the perpetration of this act. Doubtless that J'onn has a sense of what she is doing, but she gives it no voice, for fear of saying the wrong thing in front of the wrong person, and tipping her hand. She falters a step as a cold spike of fear stabs into her heart. <Ahead, on the left. Six doors down from here. There is a small contingent of four who do not belong here.> Star looks up to J'emm and takes a deep breath. <I believe we have found your future captors.>
