Redstar has posed:
Starr decided to take Selene up on her invitation finally. Things had died down a bit and she was bored. Oh so dreadfully bored hiding out in that apartment. A demon like her can only watch so much Hell's Kitchen after all. So she had taken off into the night, not really sure where she was going at first. Then Times Square had passed beneath her on the cool night air and she had circled high about it, deep in thought.

~What are you doing?~ Asked Vicky as she felt the frustration and vague irritation of the demon.

(Pondering our life...or what there is of it. I do not like it and need a change.) O o Starr thought as her black eyes narrowed and she angled away from the always busy square.

~Oh like the last week wasn't change enough~ The human side of the soul quipped, her tone dripping sarcasm.

(Just...shut up.) O o Starr thought, not even having a witty reply. She was thinking about the future and that was a dangerous thing.

Then suddenly she pulled up in her flight and turned in the air. Down below a building with beautiful skylights lay. Slowly a smile spread across her face as she flew down to land on the roof of the Hellfire club. "Hmmmmmm," She said to herself, leaning over to peer down on the gathering area below.

~These aren't good people...~ Vicky comments uncomfortable. Starr raised a brow at the ridiculousness of the statement.

(And neither am I.) O o Starr replied with a mental snort.

Black Queen has posed:
The main area of the Hellfire club is a location for the wealthy to feel like they are doing something dangerous. Sex, drugs, and more sex of tabooish types are all catered to and of course there's a sitting room where people can talk without all the sex or drugs... but it is usually empty. There's typically just one reason to come to the Hellfire club, and that's to get away from the normal, the regular, and experience something strange.

There are not a lot of metas that exist inside of this area of the Hellfire club, but that is not to say there isn't some exclusivity even within the club. Up a few floors there is almost seemingly a whole new club. An area where the elite of society that also have gifts come. People of bizarre colors, shapes, abilities, and they want to experience their own. Where do you go if you cannot get high because your metabolism now is too fast? You come to the Hellfire club where there are ancient drugs, mystical drugs, and various things of all kinds. There are no hidden existences here. People have long been part of this club and the first rule of the Hellfire club is there are no rules, but be disloyal to the club and suffer.

The penthouse of the building is a living space filled with what you might think of as a large flat that itself is two stories separated by a circling staircase. It is up here that even those who are elite amongst the elite reside. Just a handful of people are allowed on this floor, and Selene is one of them. She is, after all, the Black Queen - one of, if not tied for the highest position available within the club. Not that many would know it, sure she's part of the wealthy elite and so its known to some she's a member. But to most this club is merely a club that allows and caters some of the less-than-legal things to their clientele. That's the bottom floor, a bit of a stretch and it's the second floor as well. But as you go up and up and up, the darkness increases till the very top. It's like the levels of Hell itself, for every sin there is a price, and one most of the clients can pay.

Pausing for a moment in the elevator, Selene is about to get off at the Penthouse but instead feels something present itself at the roof. While she's here she's regularly open to the thoughts of others for it is here that most allow their guard to go down, and when it does go down it's so much easier to steal secrets. Stepping back into the elevator she presses a code into the panel and up the elevator goes. On the rooftop Starr will see part of the roof actually rise up, normally this is hidden, but the platform raises and then *DING* open sesame. Inside that elevator is Selene, still recognizable from before but now wearing a lot less clothing than she did the last time she met you. "Starr, Vicky, welcome. Come inside, inside, now remember... anything you see or experience is yours to keep, but not to share."

Redstar has posed:
Starr straightens as the elevator raises out of the roof. A little amused smile quirks the demons lips as she waits, arms idly crossed, for the elevator to finish. Upon seeing the familiar face on the other side the smile splits into a toothy grin, arms falling to her side. "Hello, again, Selene. Or is there a preffered monicker while I am here?" Starr asks even as Vicky recoils deeper into the mind. Poor little soul, pure and sweet. This place is not for the likes of her.

Long legs allow her to cross to the elevator quickly, but without seeming hurried. The wings at her back pull in tightly, otherwise that Elevator might have been a bit more cramped. "My lips, as they say, are sealed," A demon knows the benefit of a good secret, after all. "I wasn't sure the best way to enter. But skylights...I figured someone would see me. I should have guessed you would simply sense me," She says conversationally as they descend once more in the lift.

Black Queen has posed:
A quick dismissive wave of her hand, Selene furrows her brow, "Many know my name here. Fewer know the title I bear. By all means, Selene is fine. Within the walls the secrets abound, but not a peep is heard." She smiles, and waits till you are back in the elevator, "What is it that you wish to accomplish while you are here? There are pits of torment where you can be the tormentor or the tormented. There are things to brighten the senses to burn away the thoughts. You are my guest, so feel free to offer a request." And she presses the button back down to go to the penthouse area of the building, "Myself, I usually like to look out and watch as the world turns, see them scurry about as if today matters. Though the club itself offers little respite for there is rarely any kind of surprises. Only so many times you can flog the flesh off of a person or have it flogged from your own before it becomes quaint and mundane."

Redstar has posed:
Starr purses her lips as the elevator descends, pondering the potentials the club has to offer. "I think," She says after listening, "I might watch for a time too. It is my first visit, after all," No need to rush things right off the bat.

~Starr...~ The soft voice is severely uncomfortable, quiet and remote in the back of her mind. There was more than one reason to come and it now squirms uncomfortably in her mind, trying to block out what is likely to be unwanted stimuli. The internal torment of one another is something the two will likely never be without. There will always be resentment of the other, and small joy taken in their discomfort.

"I have to say, the way you changed the spell was quite masterful. I'd dare say I was envious," She says with a little amused mirth at her own funny. It's hard to tell when those black eyes totally focus on something, but Selene can feel their touch and attention.

Black Queen has posed:
As the elevator descends, Selene brings them to the most 'tame' floor for metas. Here she is queen. She is recognized as one of the elite even here, and that she has come down to this floor with a guest gets looks and stares. When normally that otherworldly presence she permeates is something that gets people uncomfortable here it arouses and alerts. She walks, unconcerned and moves toward the a wall where there is a painting that likely should be in a musem somewhere, chairs that are probably as old and a small table. The chairs are turned slightly toward one another but also pointed a bit out toward the room to make for an easy sight.

Her ridiculously high heeled feet bring her in that direction, and as she moves she grabs a d-ring that is around some ball-gagged man's neck and she yanks him up toward her, "Fetch me a drink. And my guest." She moves her foot forward to allow the man to make as if he were licking her foot, but can't since he's gagged, and then he crawls off like a dog to fetch. Then she finishes the way to the seats and takes one, leaning back and looking over to Starr, waving a hand in the direction of the free seat, "Upstairs there are human seats, nothing is quite as comfortable as sitting on one person and leaning up against another. Especially when they are tied together. Pity really, you know, it was not too long ago that we would not need such a place like this? Publically I would walk the streets, queen." She shakes her head, "How does that recent song go... Times they are a chaaaangin'. Hmm."

Once seated she turns her words to the spell. "Why thank you. I enjoy it when others are envious of me. Anything in particular? Or just the skill, intellect, and raw power it all took?" Selene grins, leaning over a bit, listening. Clearly flatter gets you everywhere.

Redstar has posed:
Starr follows after, tall and regal in her own dark way. Selene isn't the only one with a palpable aura around her, Starr's is just different. Those black eyes sweep through the room, darting here and there, a hungry little curl to her lips. The server-slaves make her smile, showing sharp teeth, watching the man scurry off towards the bad. "I do like it here," She purrs even as Vicky shuts herself off as best she can within the mind, which sad for her isn't much.

(You should be watching this, my dear. That may be you soon,) O o Starr thinks, tauntingly, to her other. There is a pause from Vicky and she actually has her attention, however briefly, to watch.

~Oh...OH! Oh my...~ Vicky's surprise and curiousity then seems to embarass her and the mind retreats again. It is easy to see why Starr does it, her own little torment theater in her head.

The chair is draped in, rather than sat conventionally. Wings tend to back chair backs a little uncomfortable for the winged one. But drapping in the second chair, legs over one side, back resting against the other arm, wings free and uncrushed. "They are indeed. I certainly can't freely walk to streets at the moment," She says with an small sigh. "But I will try and get that fixed sometime," A hand waves as if to dismiss the mild irritation, eyes refocusing on the Black Queen. "A little bit of everything, honestly. I could only feel it remotely, as I had to focus on maintaining the link between Hell and here. The magical backlash headache I had when I woke up," She blows out and makes a face.

Black Queen has posed:
"I would say I am sorry, but I'm not." Selene mentions to Starr in response to the whole headache issue. And then she turns toward the demoness and wonders, "Are you interested in walking the streets, looking like a human woman?" Questions the black queen, and she moves a few fingers by idly and says, "It could happen. Your father gave me much of what I wanted, and so I feel a little indebted to you. Not that I would not cancel out that feeling of debt with such a thing, nor would it mean you would not owe me, but a shape is easy to change." She shrugs a little bit at that. "I have been many in my life when the need arises, though I so dislike being anyone else - who would wish not to be perfection walking?"

With that, however, the man who was crawling comes crawling back. He has two glasses sort of clipped to him from dangling strand of diamonds. Selene pets the man and ruffles his hair a little before she reaches down and just presses her finger into his shoulder deeply while holding the glass there to fill it up with blood. She keeps talking as though nothing is going on, "You would have enjoyed the babylonian times. Superstition, fear, it all ran rampant but the parties were exquisite. Human sacrifices to the gods, flaying of slaves, all under the pretense of 'civilization'." She laughs and sighs out a bit, "Far better than the dark ages. But, being burned alive will put a damper on one's mood." She settles the glass on the small table, or directly hands it to Starr before she fills up the second glass and then pushes the man away, letting him bleed a bit as he crawls off. "Here, at least, people understand - though what they think they know is still just an illusion."

Redstar has posed:
Starr doesn't seemed phased by Selene's lack of compassion. The comment was meant to imply the power it took to manipulate such energies, not garner sympathy. Sympathy was something Vicky sought, humans, not Starr. "Hmmmmm, I will certainly think on it. I like this form, but being able to pass for human if needed would be helpful," She says thoughtfully, lips pursing.

The slave is eyed with a certain interest and hunger. Watching the blood dribble out, the little whince of pain mixed with pleasure, the way his eyes flickered between the two of them, Starr found herself grinning. "They're so well trained," She observes, feeling Vicky squirm in her mind, as she reaches out to trail her claws lightly across the slave's back as he retreats. Angry red furrows are left, though not quite breaking the skin. The kind of scratches that really sting and linger to remind you.

~NO. Stop thinking it. No.~ Vicky states flatly at some passing thought quietly shunted her way, the horror and surprise from her human counterpart makes Starr chuckle a bit.

"So tell me, what does a demon have to do to get a membership?" She asks as she takes the glass with a nod. "It has been awhile," She observes as she brings the glass to her lips.

~Oh my stars, you are not putting that in our body are you? Oh god you are!~ Starr sips with great enjoyment from the rim of the crystal, the flames of her eyes seeming to fance with brighter fire.

Black Queen has posed:
Looking over at Starr, as Selene leans back in the chair that she sits at, she lets her dark eyes fall on the demon. She smiles, "Trained?" She looks around and she shakes her head, "They come here and worship. There is no training necessary, they merely are brought in because they can see a bit beyond the looking glass. Their souls reach out to know the touch of a god, whether kind or firm it matters not." She looks out amongst the rabble, "Some will come and say otherwise, some will dance with their words. They each understand worship, and make no mistake none who enter these walls are doing anything but."

There's a bit of a pause as she glances back to Starr, smiling, "Well, none save me. You seek a membership to the Hellfire club? Unfortunately, until you rectify your other side, I would not be so inclined to offer the ability for you to come and go as you please." She shakes her head a little bit, "I let you in because I invited, but I could not allow such an uncontrolled quantity full access. Besides, we would need to set you up with something of an identity. Someone grand, wealthy. We have a clientele to maintain." With that she tips her glass and drinks down some of the blood in her cup, covering her lips in a bloody red as she grimaces a little, moving her mouth about some and then sets the glass back down on the table next to her, "I wonder when he went vegan..."

Redstar has posed:
Starr listens and considers the blood on her tongue. Now she looks closer at the men and women on their knees, scurrying about, the fear mixed with wonder in their eyes. "Ah. I see t now," She admits with a bob towards one woman, rubbing herself like a cat against some meta in Armani.

Of course Vicky would be a problem. She was always a problem. Starr sighs as if she was expecting that, one brow quirking briefly as she nods. "Mmmm, I can understand that," She admits reluctantly, "Though I can cage her so she experiences nothing. It's almost as torturous as making her watch..."

~You're cruel.~ Vicky snaps angrily.

Starr's smile turns a little wicked, directed at no one in particular. o O (Stating the obvious. Ta ta!) And then there is silence as Starr blankets her mind with her demonic presence. Nothing passes through, nothing is seen, just the blackness at the center of Starr's soul for Vicky to ponder now.

Black Queen has posed:
Waving a hand toward the crowd of people. Some of them might be recognizable as politicians that no one knows is a meta, others are covered in face masks to block out all their senses and otherwise completely naked and as such impossible to identify. There are still more who are probably completely unknown elements but obviously wealthy from their attire. In one corner people are snorting some powder, in another corner people are licking drugs off of people hung by their wrists and dangling who are being flogged but seem to be enjoying it. And this is the 'tame' level of Hellfire club.

"Work on taking someone's life. Becoming them. Find someone you would like to be, maybe someone lonely or who has few friends. Possibly a social person, it matters not. Someone that you feel like you could be, if you just could look like them." Selene smiles a bit over to Starr, "When you find that person. We will make you them. They do not need to have a huge amount of wealth, but tied to someone elite. A mob boss's daughter, a politician's wife... a sister of Tony Stark. Someone who could have a reason to be here. That way you can use the front door, and at that point we can allow you to walk the streets again."

With that she says, "Feel free to enjoy this place. I do not mind continuing our conversation, but think on what I have said. You are now far away from home. Your father is thankfully gone, you now have the means to destroy what you wish. Find that purpose, otherwise you will have a long time here without much to do."

Redstar has posed:
Starr licks blood from her lips as she watches the flogging with apparent idle interest. The tameness of it is still refreshing for one who has been absent from it for nearly two decades. But she smiles a little and says, "Oh...but we are from money. My parents are quite wealthy, living in Conneticut on their little estate." There is idle thought there as she narrows her eyes. "Hmmmm...I should pay them a visit." That can't be good.

Slowly she sits up and forward, drawn by a meta woman dancing naked across the room. "Freedom and memory, two of the things we often take for granted," She purrs quietly. Then she turns to look at Selene herself, "I'll start digging. In the meantime, I think some of the sins are still in the city. I've felt them briefly now and again over the last few days. They may even show up here." She pauses. "Only because they would be drawn here as I was tonight. Such a den of wonders..." She chuckles and takes another sip. "I will abide awhile and think, Selene. If you need to attend to some matter I understand."
