Revenge of the White Triangle
Date of Scene: 12 February 2018
Location: Earth
Synopsis: Laurel and allies deal with White Triangle terrorists.
Cast of Characters: Mon-El, Green Lantern (Jordan), Loki, Shadowlite, Super-Man, Ares, Wonder Woman, Andromeda
Tinyplot: White Triangle

Mon-El has posed:
Some weeks ago, a group of surviving Sorrow Cultists living deep underground on Daxam had received a mysterious message from someone who claimed to be from the future and shared their xenophobic views. This stranger has given them the information they need to change the course of history in their favor...(11/86, 11/87)

Now, the newly-formed White Triangle has revealed itself, determined to change the future, and the fires of revenge in their eyes. A broadband signal is going out all over the planet, detectable by anyone with comms equipment--a video feed of the three Daxamite terrorists with what appears to be a human man--a certain Sam Gwydion to anyone who might recognize him--bound to some kind of containment device, presumably on their ship in orbit. There are two males and a female. One of the men, Res Vir, who is the bulkier one, speaks into the comm. "Laurel Gand! We know you're out there!" he shouts. "And, we know you have the cure for lead poisoning, so why don't you bring it here before this pathetic Terran trash dies!" At this, he presses a button on a handheld remote of sorts that causes a large surge of electricity to course though Sam's body from the device h/she's tethered to. The transmission is easily traced to that Daxamite war cruiser in orbit that just arrived a few days ago, but hadn't made any openly hostile moves since then.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal Jordan, Green Lantern of Earth was soaring above the clouds, and into space. His willpower was holding the emerald shield that surrounds him in place, and his eyes scan the vastness, trying to locate that target. It was going to be one of those days, that was for sure.

Now, Hal has a passenger at this time. His willpower shimmering around his guest. It was all he could do to spread his will to himself, and to the person riding along. "Looks like it's a Daxamite War Cruiser. Are you going to be okay riding along?" Hal looks at his passenger and smiles. "Just let me know where you need to be, and I'll make sure you get there!"

Loki has posed:
In that transmission, the poor fellow known as Sam Gwydion writhes as the jolt lances through him causing his body to contort for a moment as he can't even cry out from the intensity of it. But thankfully terrans are such fragile creatures, the pain ends abruptly and he's left there to slouch in the restraints. One eye twisted close as he still endures the aftershocks of the pain.
Breathing slowly, heavily, he looks to the side towards where one might imagine his captors might well be and he groans a bit and then says perhaps a touch petulantly, "I'm tellin' you, ya got the wrong guy." He pushes himself slowly back up in posture and grimaces.

Shadowlite has posed:
Originally, Shadowlite didn't think he'd have any excuse to go after the cruiser that was all over the news. Him against an entire spaceship? 60/40 odds against right there.

Then, there was a hostage situation. Perfect. Getting inside under the cover of the 'heroes' that would be honor bound to rescue the man would be easy.

Once again, the space modified Darkforce suit is fitted and donned, and the life support module is put on... this time, with the subspace transceiver fitted so he could listen in on the conversations around him.

Flying out of his condo and out into the sky once again, Shadowlite is wearing his backpack and an assortment of caseless space-capable weapons on his tactical vest. Once he hits the right height, a Darkforce shell is formed again... and a black portal opens with black lightning as he once again bypasses the upper atmosphere, and arrives in Earth orbit, taking in his surroundings.

"Alright lostie, what are we looking at this time?" Shadowlite asks of his sentient Darkforce trapped 'friend' as he flies around in space on his Darkforce disk, getting a read on his surroundings.

Super-Man has posed:
SHIELD intercepted the broadcast, and Kenan overheard it. Now is as good a time as any to find out if he can reach orbit. He FINALLY learned to fly, apparently at either a very good or very bad time. He grabs the package the Legion gave him that they called a Transsuit and runs out the door of the Helicarrier onto the deck, rocketing into the sky. Half a minute into the flight he is at 30,000 feet, but the air is much thinner and the Transsuit deploys. Given less drag his peed increases, less thn a minute after hitting the sky is is out of the atmosphere and the direct solar energy is boosting im yet further. Normally the power would overflow into his other powers, but he needs to fly as fast as he can...so his speed jumps geometrically. Only seconds after exiting the atmosphere he is in the right orbit...then he has to coast on his inertia while he located the Daxamite War Cruiser with his penetrating vision...

Ares has posed:
Ares...AKA John Aaron, was eating a late breakfast with his kid son, Alexander when the transmission came in. A frown coming to his features as he looks to his son. If they destroy the planet....a sigh touches his features as he kisses his son on the forehead. "Need you to go do some homework, alright? keep out of trouble." he ruffles his hair before cracking his neck, leaving the house without anything...not a sword, nothing.

Because he was the God of War.

Appearing on top of a roof decked in head to toe in his sleek black armor, tattered black cape from his shoulders, his eyes peer only forward, removing his helmet so he could show them the face of war. A chuckle from him then. "Foolish to threaten the world I've grown to call home."

Wonder Woman has posed:
"
"Of course," is the immediate reply from Diana.
Soaring was normal. Flight was something she could do. Yet Diana still need oxygen. Thus, today she was reliant on her teammate and friend to help her. With his shielding in place around her, she would be able to use the oxygen within. It wasn't the best of situations but it would work for a time. If things got too difficult, she would go for re entry back to the atmosphere but for now, she floated in the air beside him as she looked to the cruiser. "From the information being relayed, we need to get on that ship quickly." From her point of view, the easiest way is the direct approach but ripping through the ship might lead them to killing the hostage. This was going to require something a bit more subtle.

Andromeda has posed:
"This is Legionnaire Laurel Gand to the un... Unidentified..." Laurel's clear, booming voice leacves off and for a second the commlink is silent. It's almost deafening, an echo of the uncertainty evident in the girl's voice.

"-Vessel. Holding a Terran prisoner is an act of war. What are you doing this far from Daxam? Why would you even bother? There's no lead there in the first place..." She starts to trail off and then takes a dep breath. It's held for a few beats.

"And how do you know my name? That's unimportant. Surrender the prisoner and we'll get you all the medical help you need. I promise."

Far above planet earth, just outside the proximity needed to orbit, a blonde, green-eyed woman stares down at the world, watching everything that is happening there. The Legion Cruiser isn't far but she's chosen to be off on her own for the moment. Laurel checks her belt reflexively, confirming she has her serum safely in hand, and begins to fly toward the unknown vessel locatd on the far side of the earth.

Mon-El has posed:
Anyone with deep scanning or other abilities allowing them to see inside the ship will find the only life signs are the three Daxamites and Sam on the bridge. There are many other defenses, but they're all drones controlled by the ship's AI.

As the Daxamite vessel is approached, the lower hangar bay doors open to allow Laurel and anyone else who might be along inside, although no other response is given. No answer to Laurel's question, nothing. Just an open door. Going charging in guns blazing is an option...but it might result in poor 'Sam' getting killed. And no hero would do such a thing! Right?

Sam doesn't get much of a response, other than Res just glaring at him. "Quiet human! It does not matter who you are. And don't worry, she'll come. These types can never let an innocent suffer."

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan soon locates the ship, and sees the woman who is dressed like Lar was the last time they met (more or less) approaching the ship. He flies up near her, his red, black, and gold costume both like and unlike Mon-El's. He has enough energy now to run all his powers at once...for a time...or to focus his power to achieve one effect beyond his normal level. For now, he will follow her lead, she might not even know he is there...

Loki has posed:
Leaning down and trying to reach the ridge of his nose with one of his bound hands, Sam grimaces to himself and glances sidelong towards Res and replies. "Hah, innocent. I got news for you, fella." His lip twists as he starts to straighten up only for the electro-shock to fire up and through him once again, causing him to snap, "Dammit!" Before he's lost to the contortions of pain.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Nodding, Hal allows two way communication between himself and Diana. "Copy that. I can get us aboard, without too much difficulty, but damage may be problematic. Any suggestions?" Hal maneuvers them closer, knowing that his emerald green nimbus of energy was probably detectable by a starship of that technological level.

That was when the hanger doors open. "Looks like this "Laurel Gand" has got us access Wonder Woman. I guess we might as well take the bait..." With that, Hal wills them closer, as fast as his ring could take them.

Scanning ahead, Hal nods, and says to Diana, "Looks like I make it three Daxamites from the power levels...and this "Sam"."

Ares has posed:
Ares narrows his eyes at the ship itself, flying up to Laurel at great speeds, and only slowing down to a stop when he's near the group. Diana will know exactly who he is....thankfully, she's not his enemy today. Something he's been meaning to make a permanent deal...is a quiet life too much to ask for? Regardless....

He looks to Hal and Laurel. "Suppose we have some work to do." he cracks his neck then, willing to follow the group this time around as the God of War is on the side of good this time!

....or is he?

Andromeda has posed:
As other heroes are gathering Laurel looks up to see the green nimbus approaching her. She straightens slightly and then lifts a hand in greeting. The fourth Daxamite is quite familiar with the Lanterns apparently and by all rights she appears relieved to see Hal. Then she is entering. Slowly enough that the others have time tojoin her, just in case.

Ares himself owns a blink but then Laurel nods. "You're right. A lot to be done," she agrees quietly. "Hopfully they'll negotiate. If they're in trouble..." She lets those words trail off as they step into the hangar and looks around.

"I've brought what you asked for," Laurel begins again. "Release your prisoner and we can talk about handing it over. It needs to be specially developed for your safety..."

Shadowlite has posed:
"Michael, there are only four life forms on that ship, and they're concentrated in one location." The Lost One replies to Shadowlite, "Seriously? That entire thing is automated? Color me a wtf." Shadowlite grunts, "Find me a place with lots of interesting stuff." "Just below the bridge is a lot of power and physical objects. Looking at it with your senses, they're probably drones." Shadowlite grunts, "Only one way to find out. Find me a spot just off to the side."

Anyone who bothers to watch the cruiser will notice as a black suited man on a disk flies right up to a point in the hull. Then, he looks over to the open hangar, "Might as well paint an 'ambush me' sign on themselves." Before Shadowlite starts to construct a drill with Darkforce, a black mist emitting from his form as he does... which starts to push into the hull to make a Shadowlite sized hole there, hands outstretched as he focuses his will in getting inside.

Yep, those on board will feel it too.

Mon-El has posed:
Upon boarding the ship, everything seems oddly quiet. The hangar is filled a few fighters, as perhaps expected, but they are inactive. Could everything possibly be -this- easy? Or are they walking into a trap?

No resistance is encountered, and no one seems to be about until they reach the bridge. As expected, there are the three Daxamites seen in the broadcast, each wearing a black uniform with white motifs and a white triangle icon on the upper right. Laurel would probably recognize it as the White Triangle uniform--a xenophobic group of terrorists. Res Vir smirks at her and those with her. He knew she would come! "Do you think we're stupid? I know that. We will handle that part. Now give it to us, and we'll release the human." he demands.

Shadowlite's drilling will prove somewhat effective, but...slow. The hull likely contains inertron, a virtually impenetrable material. This might eventually get through, but it might take a while. Meanwhile, the doors are actually still open...

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal Jordan looks at Ares. Then to Laurel as he catches up. Nodding, he returns her gesture, all friendly. Using his ring to communicate as they land in the hanger bay, Hal comments on Ares' words. "I...think you are right." Then to Laurel. "Do you know what is going on here? You are that Legionnire that Brainiac 5 told me about. Laurel Gand I think?"

When Laurel speaks to the captors, Hal takes a back up role. Waiting to ensure there is an atmosphere before releasing the shield around Diana, Hal nods, and says, "We're good to go. I'll be ready, Wonder Woman. Just in case." Hal holds up his ring hand, and then turns his attention back to the situation at hand.

"What was that?" Hal wills his ring to scan, noting Shadowlite's arrival. "Analyze that source of energy, and save for later, ring." Hal says, as low as he can. After all, he's backup. Laurel's show.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana has taken her place a bit behind and to the left of Laurel. Her role here is support and nothing more. It is Laurel's show. Her decisions. If things go bad, the Amazon will be there to help. Hoepfully it won't go bad. She still believes in hope. It wins out more often than people give credit.
It certainly seems too easy and she is on high alert, fully expecting an attack to come at any moment. Yet, she carries herself relaxed but focused, keeping her attention on the three Daxamites and the human they are holding hostage.

Shadowlite has posed:
"Of course it's one of /those/." Shadowlite grumbles as the drilling proves to be useless for the timeframe he's going for, "Well, nothing for it." Shadowlite reaches a hand out and deconstructs the drill, before he flies over to the hangar, then inside. Getting his bearings, he looks for what might be useful to grab... and notes the fighters. "I'm going to have to learn piloting now...." Shadowlite muses to himself as he goes.

With the Daxamites and assorted others busy, he has time. "Lostie, let me know when they start to tear the ship apart with their crap. I might be able to stop them if I portal their 'hostage' out."

Ares has posed:
Ares just keeps his eyes forward, his fingers moving inch by inch as if about to cast either powerful magic or send forth a raging inferno. Either way, this looks like it's going to boil down to heavy combat no matter how bad you look at it. Three Daximites? This was going to be a neat fight....Ares -could- use a few more Daximite heads on his wall....

But! He walks in suit with Laurel and the others, a glance is given to Shadowlite in a 'kindly don't do anything remarkably stupid' kind of way, before his eyes look forward.

Then he notices Diana with a small smirk. "Sister. So good to see you again in good health. We really should speak later....and don't worry, I come in peace, contrary to my nature." A look then forward. "Most definitely a trap..." he mutters.

Andromeda has posed:
"Senior Legionnaire Laurel Gand, 31st Century Daxamite. That's me..." Laurel agrees softly, taking a deep breath as she does. "Invisible Kid would tell me to tell you to call me 'Andromeda'," she notes after a moment. "I have no idea what is going on. They've requested a rare medical formula developed in the future. My best guess is that they are in need of assistance given their proximity to earth and that this is a desperate ploy to-"

Then the Daxamites appear and Laurel is left to stare at them as they approach. "The White Triangle?" Color is leeching from her fair features.. Jade eyes dart between the people standing before her and she straightens to her full, rather impressive height of over six feet. Laurel's response to uncertainty seems to be to double down.

"I'll turn over the serum after you bring the human here where I can see him," Laurel begins. She reaches into her belt pouch and produces a vial. Slowly. "You can synthesize it from this. But you can't have it until you've released the prisoner. You have my word I'll help you then. If you're sick we can treat it. None of this needs to happen..."

Then Laurel adds more quietly. "I can't believe you left Daxam."

Super-Man has posed:
Chaoren stands behind the others a bit, he knows compared to Mon-El he was weak, though that was before he properly understood his powers. Still, this Andromeda seems to think the aliens may be in need of medical treatment. Fe frowns and decided to try something new...he SHOULD be able to tell if they are sick or have other weaknesses. At least, he thinks it will work...

Mon-El has posed:
Res nods toward one of the others, a woman named Ula, who shuts off the containment device and jerks Sam out of it, dragging him forward until they're both in front of Laurel. She holds him up with an arm around his upper body and a blaster against his back. "Close enough for you?" Res mocks. "You can't believe we left Daxam? Ha! We received a message from the future, Laurel Gand. -You- are a traitor to your own people. Daxam will be oppressed, blocked from the stars because of you. Because of your United Planets and their fear of us! But we can -change- the future. We will lead our people to glory over the rest of the galaxy! Now -give- us the serum or the human dies, we will wait no longer." He holds out his hand, expecting her to hand it to him.

Kenan's senses will detect that no, the Daxamites are not sick. As a matter of fact they are juiced up on yellow solar radiation and not only that they are each wearing some kind of shield. This place is also bristling with automated defenses. But with Sam no longer stuck in a containment device, now could be the best time to make a move...

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
"Most definitely..." Hal responds to Ares' words once more. Looking over at Diana, he simply nods. As friends and teammates, they were in synch. Returning his attention to what was happening in front of them, Hal readies his willpower and his ring for the other shoe to drop. After all, Daxamites were Superman-level. It would take everything he had to stay in this game.

Looking at Laurel, Hal nods, and says, "A medical formula...from the future...is there something...?" Cut off as the Daxamites appear, and the show begins, Hal straightens and readies himself. Wouldn't be a good idea to get himself distracted. Especially with a hostage involved...the formula...from the future...this might not be a good thing. If they got their hands on something from the future...that could change things.

Nodding to Shadowlite and Kenan, Hal accepts they were there to help. The more the merrier. Introductions can be done later. Sam was now free. Hal readies himself, but this was Laurel's show.

Super-Man has posed:
The Daxamites are not the only ones boosted by solar energy, but Kenan realizes something...hopefully someone here speaks Mandarin, "Their bodies are boosted by solar energy...and that means dark energy would reduce them to human levels..." Hal's ring would translate of course. and War probaby speaks all languages..."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana doesn't even flick a gaze to Ares although she is aware of his presence. They had met a few months ago when he claimed that he was trying to live a normal life. She had her doubts. A hundred years of peace didn't make up for centuries of the darkness he'd spread over the world. Yet, she was trying to be diplomatic where he was concerned and that is why she stands now on the same side as him. Unless he gives her a reason not to. The moment he crosses the line, she will be there to deal with her 'brother'. Words are not spoken to him as she keeps her focus on the group of Daxamites and the prisoner they are holding.
With Daxamites, they can move as fast as she can so there is no way for her to try to snatch the prisoner away. Instead, she is forced to wait and see if they will honor their deal. Her hands are clenched into fists as she waits.

Loki has posed:
To his credit, Sam doesn't look too terribly ragged, or at the least is putting up some semblance of obstinance as he shuffles after and when he's drawn up he straightens up to his full height. Rubbing a hand at his brow and frowning he looks displeased and eyes the heroic gathering with some measure of wariness.
A deep breath is taken and then he greets the people around him with an idle, "Evening." He shifts his weight from one foot to the other and then says, "All things being equal, I'd like to be rescued."

Shadowlite has posed:
Not much useful. First, Alpha Flight ruins his previous scavenging job, and now this whole place is useless except for some fighters he has no storage for. Shadowlite is not having a good time right now.

Instead of randomly searching things though, he decides to do something the heroes probably aren't expecting.

Peeking around the corner into the bridge, Shadowlite uses line of sight around the corner... and everyone watches as black arcs of lightning split reality... and both Ula and Sam drop inside a black hole in reality.

From around the corner, a voice scrambled voice intones, "have fun killing a man in the void, fellas."

The portal closes.

Ares has posed:
Ares won't be causing any trouble...worst he will do is attempt to kill a daxamite. But hey, they were gonna kill this dude most likely anyway, or at least try to. Ares crosses his arms then looking rather disinterested as he listens to the demands, a deeeep sigh then. "What a waste..." he mutters to himself about this whole situation. Though as soon as a move is made, Ares is ready to fight.

Andromeda has posed:
"You'll get the serum as soon as I have him," Laurel responds somewhat tersely. She looks over at Hal as she says this, then the others. "I'm not a traitor to anyone. Daxam wasn't oppressed to sequestered because of me. It happened before I was born! I just realized that hating everyone else in the galaxy because of it wouldn't do anything for us." The blonde shakes her head slowly.

"It's- we can talk about it. I can explain everything. What happened to the White Triangle. Why I left. But first..." Laurel approaches slowly. She reaches out until she can put a hand on Sam and holds out the serum with the other for the Daxamites to grab. She has no intention of being there when they go for it. "Don't worry, I'll rescue you," she promises Sam.

Then a hole tears in reality and suddenly Laurel is diving for him. Forget the serum. She'll probably drop it as she makes a grab for the prisoner... And possibly falls into a hole in reality with him. The timing will be pretty close.

Mon-El has posed:
All at once, everything erupts into chaos. A hole in reality suddenly rips open, threatening to swallow up both Sam and Ula. The serum is dropped, and Res Vir grabs it. Ula shouts angrily and lets go of Sam, now that the serum has been released, she doesn't care about him any more. Bolting up, she manages to make it out of the portal before it closes. "You thought you pathetic Terrans could best us with your stupid tricks?" she shouts. "Now you -die-!"

With that, Res, Ula, and the third man who had appeared on the transmission, Suggin--spring into action. Res swings at Laurel, while the other two let loose with thermal vision blasts in the group's general direction. Turret drones also emerge from the walls and begin firing at them, and the door slams shut behind them and seals itself in an attempt to trap them on the bridge.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan was expecting an attack eventually, and has his energies concentrated in his belly. Heat vision blasts and turret fire alike hit him as he calmly walks forward through the torrent of energy, apparently entirely uneffected. In fact, if anything the heat vision is making him stronger, though that will not be obvious to anyone but him. Of course, he is also providing an excellent shield for anyone behind him...

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal's ring does indeed translate, and transmits to whoever wants it on the team, although he suspects Diana and Ares can fend for themselves. "Copy that..." He replies to Kenan. His eyes then find Diana, and he watches as she tenses and then slightly relaxes. Yeah, Daxamites...not a good time. Normally, as a team, they could take anyone. This may be a challenge.

"I believe you Laurel. We're with you." Hal says, with a nod. As Sam comments on his rescue, Hal envelopes Laurel as she dives for him, and Sam himself with a green shield to protect him from the Daxamites, and the coming "black" storm of Shawdowlight.

Hovering above the ground, Hal Jordan goes defensive, bringing his will to bare, and ensuring he protects Laurel and the hostage first from the turret drones and the Daxamites, and let the big guns, like Ares and WW take on the Daxamites second.

Wonder Woman has posed:
As everything erupts, Diana is moving. She moves toward the Daxamites then pauses as the pair release their heat vision. She brings up her arms, bracers to the fore so that the beam is intercepted. She doesn't simply deflect it though. Instead, she angles her arms so the the beam is redirected toward one of those turrets emerging from the wall in an attempt to use the villains powers against them.
She isn't sure how strong those blasts are going to be but she is not planned on finding out either. She has to bring up her other bracer to block a blast from one of the turrets, again deflecting it toward another of the weapons.
How strong they are and if it works? She watches to find out so she can change tactics if necessary.

Ares has posed:
Ares keeps his arms crossed, cracking his neck as everything goes to shit. "hm...wonder who saw that coming." he watches as rips in reality open as things threaten to swallow people up...huh. Well, he's not the God of Seers. so when the Daxamites fire their heat visions at the group, and Diana takes the fore, Ares smiles. "So...this is a new situation." he sees an oppurtunity to literally stab Diana in the back as a sword appears in his hand....

But instead he throws the weapon at an angle and controls it telekinetically, attempting to stab one of the Daximites in the neck with the magic sword. "Now it's a party." a magic mace appears in his hand, brimming with life as it's edges burst with magic. The God of war leaps into the fray! aiming to strike Ula in the face.

Shadowlite has posed:
Then, the door literally closes in his face. "I'm starting to really hate this ship."

Shadowlite reaches out, then, opening a portal to outside the ship and stepping in -going right by Sam/Loki- before he comes out in space again. No telling if that entire place was about to go to hell with all the energy being thrown around, after all.

Andromeda has posed:
Sam disappears in front of Laurel as she swipes her hands through the air, only to discover she has neither the prisoner nor the formula. She whirls immediately as heat vision begins to sear the air and lunges at the nearest White Daxamite- Ula- with a howl of fury.

"What did you *DO* with him?" In an instant Laurel is only a blue shifted blur. Her foe is a fellow Daxamite. They can take a full force barrage of punches. Which is good, since she's clearly too angry to be talked down.

Mon-El has posed:
The blasts are indeed deflected off of Diana's bracers, the high energy photon streams glancing off of them and striking several turrets instead. They explode in the air, sending debris everywhere.

Ares' sword strikes Ula, but instead of actually touching her it instead strikes her shield, causing it to glow a soft blue color where it hit and thus making it visible for a few seconds. Then she's getting leaped at by a God of War with a magic mace. The mace hits the shield as well, again causing it to flicker again. She stumbles back slightly, then rises into the air to fly straight at Ares, her fist cocked and ready to smack him down hard.

Res tries to punch Laurel first, but is only met by Hal's shields, causing his own shields to glow momentarily as well. Howling angrily, he turns to attack the Lantern, but changes his mind when he sees Ula getting double-teamed by both Ares and Laurel. Thus, he pulls away and attemps to grab her and throw her across the bridge. In the meantime, Suggin focuses Diana, flying straight at her in an attempt to send her into the back wall.

Meanwhile, when Shadowlite arrives outside the ship, he'll see that the hangar doors are still open. Except this time, the fighters inside are no longer inactive. They're all whirring to life and moving outside--toward him. The one in front and closest to him opens fire on his position.

Super-Man has posed:
It seems to Kenan that the enemy are after one thing, that vial of cure from the future. It would probably be best if they do not get to keep it, so he brings his power mainly to his eues...keeping enough in his belly to stand up to the assault, but hitting the vial with a burst of magically generated heat vision equal to a Daxamite's own.

Shadowlite has posed:
"I hate this ship."

Shadowlite has armor that can take a decent amount of punishment... so when the first laser hits his armor, it is 'redirected' through the plate, and shot out elsewhere. Then, he's moving.

Putting both hands out, portal apertures open at his fists as he starts to maneuver around the fighters... especially the kamikazi ones, as he goes for their engines, trying to disable them with titanium grade Darkforce rounds.

This is not how Shadowlite pictured his time up here going.

Wonder Woman has posed:
So much for the defensive posture. Diana is brought into the fight in the most physical way possible.
Just before Suggin impacts her, she brings her arms down and shifts her arms forward. As the Daxamite flies her direction, she quickly shifts to the side in a blur of speed and reaches out a hand to try and capture his wrist. Another step to the side and she is clear of his tackle but she uses her strength and the leverage of that hold, trying to toss his flight path off and send him flying back first toward that wall he'd hoped to slam her into.

Ares has posed:
Ares watches as his sword and mace both bounce off that pesky and annoying Shield! either way, Ares just floats there as he waits for the retaliation...and boy does it come! Ula charges him full throttle...but Ares catches her fist with one hand, though he slides back. If he can tango with the likes of earth's strongest here.... after blocking it, he attempts to throw Ula out of the ship by using her momentum against her! Wouldn't be the first time he's fought a Daxamite...

Andromeda has posed:
Now Laurel is grappling with Res. Experience is on her side. She is, however, using precisely none of it. Raw fury is carrying her forward at the moment and as the Daxamites tumble through the air she is furiously wailing on her new opponent. He grabs her and she elbows him, then she headbutts him, and then there's more punches.

At this point the biggest risk is not to Laurel but to the ship itself. Good thing they build them tough...

Mon-El has posed:
As it happens, Res Vir still has possession of the serum. So Kenan's thermal vision merely strikes his shield, further depleting it although it still holds. The man glares at Kenan, but is currently busy with Laurel. "Traitor." he hisses as he gets headubtted, then attempts to grab her arm as he goes for a full suplex.

Shadowlite manages to take out a couple of the fighters, the remaining vessels attempting to surround him. One of them gets a lock on him and fires a heat-seeking missile, the projectile following his natural body temperature.

Suggin misses Diana with that charge, instead ending up getting thrown into the wall instead of her. The wall doesn't hold, and he just flies straight through it and beyond. At least 3 more walls are smashed through and he ends up in engineering, leaving a trail of destruction.

As if that weren't enough, Ares manages to throw Ula straight through the hull, destroying its structural integrity. Immediately, anything loose starts to get sucked out into the vaccuum outside. Sure, this ship is pretty tough...but not tough enough to withstand -this- level of punishment! It starts to fall apart at the seams as its orbit is disrupted and it starts to plummet toward the Earth.

The White Triangle members regroup quickly, realizing that their shields won't hold up for long enough even if they get off the ship in time to avoid damage from the crash. And then they would be marooned on a planet brimming with lead with only a few hours of charge left on the shields that were protecting them. So--despite warnings, they ingest the serum together...suddenly, their eyes are filled with a rage not seen before, all reason having left their minds. As if they weren't bad enough before. They burst from the burning wreck as it falls, headed straight for the planet!

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan is still able to breathe, thanks to his transsuit, fortunately it seem to emulatesome of the propeties of the wearer, or it would likely have been destroyed. He looks with is penetrating vision and heightened speed and locates a space suit nearby, which he retrieves and puts on Diana before heading after the Daxamites...hopefully the heads start they have is not too great.

Ares has posed:
Ares can't help but smile that he showed up a cocky Daxamite. Either way, the Daxamite in question is now descending towards the earth at breakneck speeds....so what does Ares do? he flies right after them at possible greater speeds! magic mace in hand, he tries to knock Ula straight down to the planet! "Behave...or I'll send you to Hades." he cracks his neck then, magic mace in hand as a magic sword appears in his other hand, both of them brimming with an ancient and powerful magic.

Andromeda has posed:
The ship is hurtling toward the earth and laurel snaps out of her rage. She's climbing back to her feet after hitting the deck hard enough to put holes in it and surveying her surroundigns slowly. Green eyes are wide as they take in everything. Then she is throwing herself at the breach. "I'll take care of slowing down the ship! If you can get off board you probably should!" Ares hurtles past but Laurel is busy simply grabbing hold of the Daxamite vessel and trying to pull it to a screeching halt before it becomes a gigantic meteor and destroys an entire province of some country. She's gritting her teeth as she fights with it. "What is going on...?"

Shadowlite has posed:
Then, Ares throws Ula right out of the ship, sending it hurtling to Earth.

"Oh come on!" Shadowlite exclaims into the void as he brings up a hand, a sheet of Darkforce brought across the dimensional boundary right in the path of the missile. When it becomes clear the fighters are surrounding him though, he opens another portal -once again flying by Sam- and comes out a ways away... only to continue to open more portals as he travels back to the planet.

Soon enough, he's back in atmosphere, and mentally calculating where the ship will drop down. Taking one more portal, Shadowlite drops himself near the site... then reaches out, and opens an exit... allowing 'Sam' to finally drop out of the Darkforce Dimension.

"You're welcome." comes the voice scrambled amusement of Shadowlite.

Loki has posed:
Even as Sam drops out of that portal into the confines of the ship, skidding across the ragged and torn deck, he hits the wall with a shoulder and catches grip on one of the protruding fragments of the superstructure, snaring it with one hand and grimacing all the while even as he exclaims a short sharp shout of dismay. No pithy rejoinders nor incautious quips are given as he looks over across the way...
Only to see the Themysciran Princess as she braces herself against the side of the ship, trying to shift its flight and decelerate the heavy mass while she strains. The material where her fingers grip complain with a shift and crunch as she digs in, trying to at least slow the descent.
"Should... I do something?" She hears across the way, looking up in time to see Sam's features as he meets her gaze.
"If there's anything you can do..." She grimaces, "Do it now."
As the fires lick around the ship's structure he frowns, then calls over his shoulder. "But it'll break character!"
Only for her to snarl, "Now!"
To which he scowls, himself, and then extends a hand to the side focusing the power of his will even as there's a subtle eldritch glow around his fingertips.

Mon-El has posed:
As Ares flies after the White Triangle, they catch him on approach and turn around, shooting at him with thermal vision again. But it doesn't stop his advance, the mace swinging and sending Ula flying down planetside. She hits the ground with a massive impact, a giant crater appearing. It's a good thing she didn't land anywhere very populated. As she's falling, Suggin turns and raises both fists to bring them down on Ares in an attempt to knock -him- to the same fate as Ula. Shadowlite goes unnotice for the time being, since Ares has all the aggro.

As strong as she is Laurel will find it a struggle to push against the colossal weight of the entire ship. But, with the help of both Diana and 'Sam', they manage to slow its descent enough to keep it from wiping out an entire province or small country, instead just knocking down a lot of trees and making another large crater near where Ula landed.

Shadowlite has posed:
Following along with a giant fireball in the sky isn't that hard, and Shadowlite does it smoothly.

Well, it would be smooth, right until he realizes the giant crater already there is from Ula... and he promptly takes his chance. If Ula isn't out of the fight already, he flies up and starts to fire blunt Darkforce bolts at the Daxamite as rapidly as possible, trying to put her down as quickly as possible.

Ares has posed:
Ares had blocked the heat vision beams with only his forearm, having survived far greater blows with no damage, these sting, but they don't pierce, burn, or cut...or even leave a mark, really. He smiles wickedly after knocking Ula directly onto her ass with great authority. Then he looks to Suggin as the bastard flies at him, though Ares simply sidesteps the clearly angry Daxamite, he tries to grab his arm and proceed to bash him in the head very hard and very fast with his magic mace....

Kratos style.

Though....an added benefit is that as Ares attempts to smash aaway, he's also pulling on that arm, creating a tug of war between the limbs. Maybe he'll break an arm, or even better...rip it off.

Mon-El has posed:
Ula was about to get back up, but instead she just gets a bunch of Darkforce to the face. If she'd had more exposure time to Earth's yellow sun, she may have had the strength get up and retaliate. But as it is, she's already taken quite the beating from Ares and the others. Thus, she just flops back down to the ground, unconscious.

Suggin gets clocked with Ares's mace twice. He lashes out with a fierce kick to the legs, but this does not loose his opponent's hold on him. A third and final strike with the weapon takes him down for the count, not dead but out cold. It will be up to the God of War whether he decides to finish the alien off, leave him be, or take him prisoner. However, for both of the defeated terrorists, the shield tech has been destroyed either during the battle or during reentry.

Despite the blind rage they seem to have gone into, Res Vir sees the fate his friends have fallen to and decides he'd rather not have the same thing happen to him. So he suddenly flies off, disappearing into the blackness of space.

Shadowlite has posed:
As Ula gets knocked out, Shadowlite floats his way over to her, giving her a good look. "Huh." He goes to one knee as he examines her... before he floats back up on his black disk, and heads back to the ship.

Shadowlite was sure SHIELD and the other assorted parasites were coming to 'claim' the ship, so time to get the good stuff before they arrived.

He wasn't really in a mood to start a war with any of them over a blown to shit ship today.

Ares has posed:
Ares just hovers in the air with the unconscious Daxamite in his grip, letting the whole world see. "hm....too dangerous to live, yet I don't feel like dragging you into the Areopagus today. Congratulations, pest. You survive one more day...but you will fear the name 'Ares' and all associated with him." he says while he puts in a little bit of a telepathic suggestion that will hopefully give this Daxamite a severe 'don't fuck with Ares' complex.

THen? he drops him.

Yep. lets him plummet straight to the ground beside Ula in the unconscious heap that he was before he descends himself, his magic mace disappearing from view. "hmph. now then..." a look to Shadowlite as he walks past the man... "Where's Diana?" he walks to the wreckage of the ship.

Shadowlite has posed:
"Don't know, don't care." Shadowlite replies as he searches the ship. Picking through the armory, he's only found junk. "unbelievable. How does re-entry destroy everything? What a waste." Shadowlite then floats around, looking at Ares as he crossed his arms, his hood and AR goggles betraying nothing of his expression, "Gotta admit, I expected them to blow up their ship doing this from you lot throwing each other around, but that was a new record time."

Ares has posed:
Ares keeps walking, his eyes forward as he tries to hear Diana's breathing, if she's trapped under rubble. Though it's shadowlights apprent method for shit-talking that gets his attention. "Human, I have no desire to sully my weapons onto you. If you value your life, flee." he resumes his step then, a simple gesture of his hand to make a -very- large piece of rubble fling out of his path and harmlessly away...thankfully also away from anything populated.

Shadowlite has posed:
"Uh. Ok. I was just making an observation, but have it your way." Shadowlite gives in a 'sure, whatever' tone.

A moment later, and he drops into a portal, somewhere far, far away from ridiculous gods of war.

Andromeda has posed:
The ship plows through the ground with Laurel at its front, driving her through meters of soil and several trees. The Daxamite, however, is utterly uninjured as she continues to use herself as a road block for potential mass estruction. Se digs herself free of a meter of solid ground by blasting pward into the air, sending debris in all directions. She stops far enough above the carnage to survey her surroundings.

"I need to find them," Laurel suddenly announces. "This is my mess and-" She takes up her Legion communicator and on a broad band calls out, "This is Senior Legionnaire Andromeda. Does anyone have the position of the three escaped Daxamites? They are extremely dangerous and they will only get stronger if they spend time on earth. Tremendously stronger. Can we confirm their positions...?"

Then Laurel shoots up into the sky.

Shadowlite has posed:
Then, a voice Laurel has never heard before comes on her Legion communicator, "Both are next to the ship in a larger crater. Can't miss em. I knocked out one, and the other cratered near her more. The God of dickery got that one. The other one is probably still in orbit."

Shadowlite pauses a moment, "You're welcome."

Ares has posed:
Ares promptly keeps moving, even as he hears the signal, he figures Shadowlite can work that part out while he searches for 'Sam' and Diana. Telekinetically moving large objects with mere gestures or with just his mind alone. "Hmm...where are they. The Lantern is missing too."
