Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Soo not her first time a long way away from home to chase down reagents, but definately her first time to Garnet! Currently, Kaelyn has just wandered into the pub, the woman lookng around at all the various aliens and whatnot that frequent this place... She casually looks at her shoulder bag, then taps her backpack... A few minutes later she's wandering to a booth that appears empty and sitting down, before she puts her shoulder bag into said backpack..> How she fits it is anyone's guess...

Green eyes dart around the place now as she looks curiously from person to person, being to being... And when a pink skinned woman dressed scantily clad shows up and asks what she would want Kae ummms.... "Something fruity and safe for humanoids as far as drinking And ummm... Ooh this fried steak with the green potatoe-like vege..." She says and looks to the lady who shouts out "Need a Nova Bender, and a daily special from the humanoid menu!" Kae peers at the woman, suprised at the Yonkers accent...

Ares has posed:
Ares sometimes goes here to avoid the dull people of the universe. Though that is no guarantee he'll find a nice deal of quiet here...across the universe.

Regardless, the God of War is incognito, wearing a black trench coat with a black collared shirt, black suit slacks, and fairly nice combat boots. his hair is well done and his beard has grown out a bit to look more....intimidating. But hey, Ares is a beautiful man, and the beard really helps.

But alas, he simply watches people...his eyes do notice Kaelyn and he feels the sense of magic off of her. A small hum in his voice as he sips some of that alien liquor...that does barely anything for him. He misses the divine stuff sometimes.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol has been sitting at a table, pouring over a text of some sort. Dressed in a neatly tailored lavender skirtsuit, she rakes her fingers through her dark hair and glances around the room, tilting her head a little as she catches sight of Ares. Something familiar there. Maybe around the eyes.

Narrowing her own, she idly turns a page before glancing up to watch the strange newcomer stuff big things into other things they should not fit into. "Nifty trick, that. If I knew you better, I'd hire you to organize my closet."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae gets her order, looking at the odd fruity drink... She whispers something, the glass and the food seemingly having a barely visible mist rolling over them for a moment before it dissapears... She smiles "Ooh safe..." She mutters and begins eating, blinking a bit at the flavor, before she shrugs slowly... Next Kae hears the "Nifty Trick" comment then nods "Oh yah, great for closets, trunk space, and purses...." she says simply.

Kae's eyes now drift to Ares and she studies them briefly, smiling a bit before she looks back at Star Sapphire curiously. "I'm aslo fun at parties, some say." She adds wint a wink of one of those bright green eyes of hers. Then there's a nother bite taken from her fried steak and she tries the green mash...

Ares has posed:
Ares just keeps to himself...though he notices when Carol ends up making snide eye contact with him...not many people have the willpower to do that. Respect. Alas, he gives a small friendly smile, keeping the Alias of John Aaron well in tact. A look then to Kaelyn as she runs her eyes over him.

Regardless, eventually the God stands and he approaches the ladies, tilting his head when he sees Kaelyn using her bag Mary Poppins style. "Not a bad trick. Wonder how you do that?" he smiles.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol's eyes follow the partygirl's gaze as she looks at the man in the trenchcoat. "He looks familiar. I think. You know him?" And a moment later, the man is joining them.

"Well I suppose I have to admire anyone who's fun at parties. My mind stays so focused on other things I'm always accused of being aloof." Carol smiles and tips her drink to the man who's approached. "Didn't mean to be rude. You remind me of someone, I think. I just haven't yet placed...whom."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae shrugs "It's a kind of magic." she says and smiles cheerfully... She yawns now and finally tries her drink.. An eyebrow goes up "New favorite..." She mutters

Ares has posed:
It isn't uncommon for people to think John looks -exactly- like someone else...maybe the dozens of greek statues of him. his temple...or even in Italy (specifically ROme) where he was known as Mars. Regardless...he offers Carol a small, friendly smile after her words. "Don't worry. I get that alot..I keep hearing I look like a few earth actors." he smiles softly then before he looks to Kae, offering the young woman an understanding nod.

"ah...I see."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol's blue eyes soften at the man's explanation, and she affords him a friendly nod. "Perhaps that's what it is, as I do happen to call that rock home. Most of the time." She smiles warmly and turns her attention back to Kaelyn. "Oh? New favourite. It must be a good one. You look like you've rambled many a mile far and wide. I just imagine that you've tasted your fair share of new drinks."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae peers at Carol.. "Yup, miles, parsecs, lightyears, planes, you name it." she says cheerfully. Kae takes another pull on the drink and shrugs "First time out here.. This is enjoyable though." she says

Ares has posed:
Ares gives Carol a warm smile. Beautiful and (presently) kind. An always welcome presence, as was Kaelyn of course for the same qualities. Though her bag is certainly interesting.

"Hmm.." then Kaelyn speaks of where she's been and Ares's curiousity is piqued.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol's brow arches with mild surprise and she inclines her head toward Kaelyn. "I'm Carol, by the way. Pleasure to make the acquaintance. If you'll forgive me, you don't look like the typical plane-jumper. Perhaps you'd like to share the stories of your travels? Always intensely interesting when I meet a new soul with an interesting story to tell."

Carol can sense a purity of sorts within the woman, with very little trace of any hardening of her heart. Someone so widely traveled is seldom so minimally jaded.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kaeglances around, and figuring the place was full of powered and at least strange folk anyway, she shrugs "I'm a mage, it's something we sometimes do." She says and grins a bit.. I don't go around too far, just places known to have ingredients and reagents I need for my store." she adds "That's what was in the shoulder bag anyway.." She motions to her backpack "It's an extradimensional space, also can let me send supplies back to the store so I don't have to carry them around with me too much."

Ares has posed:
Kaelyn and Carol would both be able to sense something in the mysterious man...perhaps something neither can place a finger on. He's -very- strong in magic, but he seems to have a heart of stone...with very warm soft material on the inside. Big softie.. "I'm John. John Aaron. Earth is also my home. A pleasure." A small bow of his head in greeting.

"not bad, certainly, for a magic bag."

John Aaron is a conundrum to Carol. She has scarcely ever beheld the intensity of his hardened contempt. At first, it was offputting. But as he had opened himself somewhat to the conversation, she felt another layer. Deeply buried. Something deeper within him was certainly capable of love. But whether he had ever allowed himself to feel it? Well, that was a different matter entirely.

"A pleasure indeed, John. I don't run into many from our neck of the woods out this far. And to find one...two..." She pauses, looking at Kaelyn appraisingly, and gives an affirmative nod. "To find two others on a night when this place is quieter than usual. A good enough excuse for me to try this young lady's 'New Favourite,' I think." She turns to the bar and smiles at the blue-skinned man so alien compared to their threesome. "I'll have...what she's having." Then, turning back, she offers further. "John?"

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae tilts her head and shrugs "You should, it's pretty tasty... Kinda fruity and well tropical, but that's what I asked for." she says and pokes at the green mash, it moves on its own... Again.. She shrugs and bites into it.. "This stuff kinda tastes like well msahed potatoes but looks nothingl like it..." She adds and grins... "Part of the fun of traveling, trying new things... And yah, I'm from Earth... "

Ares has posed:
Ares gives a little nod to Carol. "I will take the Terran Spirit." He smiles as he chooses a very Vodka-styled drink. A nod to Carol then "I don't meet many either...least not here." He grins softly then.

though he sheds Kaelyn a small look as she tries drink and food. "It's not bad trying new things. Happy you appear to enjoy it, all things considered."

Carol gives a soft nod of agreement to John, as she watches Kaelyn. "Pretty adventurous when you're not sure whether to eat your green mashed potatoes or name them and buy a collar."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae gives a bit of a shrug... "True, but I think I've probably had worse... Anyway, I made sure things were completely safe before I started eating. It's fine It even tastes like mashed potatoes, has a bit of a grainy texture to it too, like somoene didn't add enough cream and didn't quite cook the potatoes enough, and yah, the moving away from the fork is a bit disconcerting...." She adds and shrugs "Still though, Once you make those adaptations it's all good. Also the battered and fried steak is not bad at all.. I guess meat protein being meat protean pretty much everywhere? Though I understand what I'm eating comes from something that looks like a dinosaur and a cow somehow made a blue baby..." she says and grins a bit again...

Ares has posed:
Ares seems to take note of both women as they speak of curious foods, earning a chuckle from the god of war. He simply observed and watches, sipping at his rather strong drink.

"such food is considered a luxury in a great many places.." he smiles softly in amusement as he leaned against the counter.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae glances to her empty plate "Wierd or no, Good's good, even if it was a lil greasy." she says and smiles slighlty, then she tilts her head curiously "So what brings you way out here? I think as you mentioned before, we're an aweful long way from home."

Ares has posed:
Ares nods softly to her words about the food, chuckling a little bit. "Oh so true.." though he missed the foods from Mount Olympus....this alien goop would have to do. Though when asked why he was there, he shrugs. "I like the place." a cheeky answer, to be sure, but he isn't exactly lying. Though he eventually decides to answer quite seriously.

"I am a simple traveler. I enjoy coming out to hodge podges like these...gives you a sense of an originality in your travels...plus the oppurtunity to make new friends, hear the news of the universe." a shrug then.

"What about you? Not very common for a mage to be all the way out here in these parts.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae shrugs "Mebbe, but I'm also an artificer. I try not to use up resources in any given place, and I've found that other planets and such have alternatives to some reagents. Case in point, there's a species related to a dragon, lots of them, and these aren't sentient. I can get those reagents farm grown or outright cloned out here and they work just fine.... There's other things too.." Kae shrugs slowly "I have an issue with some other traditional caster's ways of doing things, so I find alternative sources for the ingredients I use in my potions or enchantment.. So sometimes it brings me off Earth!"

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol listens intently to the conversation, nodding as Kaelyn explains her travels and her reasons for doing so. "An ethical choice sometimes, then. An admirable rationale, to be certain." She sips from her fruity drink, which she's found delightful, if a bit overpoweringly sweet.

Ares has posed:
John nods a few times. "Hm...that makes sense. Last I checked, mages were pretty carefree about the ingredients to their work. Happy to find one that's at least a little different than the rest." a friendly smile then for Kaelyn before Mr. Aaron's attention falls upon Carol.

"Agreed. So then, Carol..what brings you to knowhere? far from home."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae peers curiously "No not so carefree, more stuck on certain ingredients from certain sources and some didn't care about repurcussions... I care about the repurcussions, and I kind of enjoy finding alternate means to accomplish spells and such to the old bystanding ways of doing things. Personally I thnk there's a lot of ways to skin any animal." she says and smiles slighlty, then takes another pull on her drink...

Star Sapphire has posed:
Listening to Kaelyn's explanation as she sips her drink, she nods in agreement. It's good to see humanity still has its champions, both great and small.

Now lifting her gaze to John, Carol smiles softly. "My company provides security services to clients far and wide. I travel a great deal to oversee its dealings," she explains. "Simply put, I go where I'm needed, and my work brings me through here regularly, if not frequently." She sets down her drink and picks up a glass of water she's been neglecting until the ice is merely chips barely large enough to break the surface of water in her sweaty glass.

Ares has posed:
John nods a few times to Kae. "ah...I see. seems sorcerers are upping their standards...about time." he says with a soft nod, before looking at Carol as she explains the nature of her 'company'.

"Hm, curious." he says with a small shrug as he takes a seat, drinking back the alien spirit. "Seems you and Ms. Kaelyn will get along splendidly.
