Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Shadowlite, Redstar

Shadowlite has posed:
Vicky and Starr both asked about guns and learning about them... and initially Shadowlite was not thrilled with the prospect. But, they'd do it with or without him, so instead of going to someone who would screw them over, Shadowlite agreed to at least some basic lessons.

A day later, and Shadowlite teleported the 'trio' out into the middle of just about literally nowhere... probably in New York state.

Probably.

When the two finally arrive at their destination, there's a table with an assortment of pistols, sub-machine guns, shotguns, and one rifle. Over yonder at various points are a number of different objects and paper.

Shadowlite himself is wearing his tactical vest, a few different pistols and ammo for them on it, with an FN-SCAR on his back. His hands are behind his back as he watches her, "This will be where you will practice. Going into the city is begging to be reported."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky had been acting much less reserved lately. The reality of the world really seemed to have sunk in. It is why she had asked in the first place. She knew it might come down to it, and better to know than not. So she had asked, watched online videos with good reviews, and waited till he agreed.

The day came and she was looking serious, but also eager for the upcoming lesson. "Yeah, I would imagine so. Guns are pretty loud, even with most suppresors from what I've been reading," She says as she looks the table over, head tilted slightly to the side. Today she has braided her new long hair. The braid came down to her lower back, the bands of black in the red making interesting patterns through the braid.

She turns from the table and begins to walk towards the target setups. "How far back should I start?" She asks, glancing over at him. Though she is trying not too, a little smile touches the edges of her lips. Finally she is doing something to move forward with life. Hiding was making her stir-crazy.

Shadowlite has posed:
Considering the kidnappings were over and they knew the reason for them, it didn't take much for Shadowlite to agree that hiding was pointless now.

"Supressors are mainly so your target doesn't know exactly where to look to find you. The really good pistol silencers can be /very/ effective... but forget it with anything bigger than a sub-machine gun." Shadowlite notes, before he goes over to the table, and taps a black pistol, "This is a Glock G17. For now, you're going to familiarize yourself with it. There's no ammo in any of these. Take it."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky takes the gun and makes it a point to keep it pointed at the ground and not at him. She at least learned something from her online research before this. "Most popular gun among law enforcement world wide," She says with a nod as she eyes the various parts. "Slide right?" She points to the part.

Pulling it back she looks into the chamber, just to check, then lets the slide go. Next she finds the safety and flips it on and off a few times, nodding to herself. Flipping it over she frowns over how to eject the empty magazine. "Ahhh, this part confused me I'll admit," She says with one of her awkward smiles.

Shadowlite has posed:
"The little button on the left side just at the slide itself is the slide catch. The button just below that on the magazine holder section is the magazine release. You switch that forward, then pull the magazine out yourself, or give it a little downward thrust to do it handless." Shadowlite then pulls his own G17 from a vest holster, and demonstrates. He does it fairly professionally. "I prefer revolvers; less prone to jamming... but pistol have a place if you need a lot of rounds really quickly."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky leans in and watches with a focus and clarity he probably hasn't seen before. Slowly she nods her head and then proceeds to pop the maganize out, after two tries, on her own. "Aha!" She says once she gets it. She does it several more times with both hands. "Show me doing it one handed, please?" She asks after that, trying to do it herself once but cursing instead. "Shit, shit, shit," She says and transfers the gun to her other hand, eyeing the grip with annoyance. "This uber strength thing has a real learning curve, but I don't think I bent it," She is eyeing the grip uncertainly.

Shadowlite has posed:
"I don't have that issue, but getting custom built high durability firearms for yourself isn't out of the realm of possibility." Shadowlite points out, before he brings up a hand, and that familiar black mist emits as a black 'bullseye' sheet pops up about 40 meters away... before he reloads his G17 and fires a few rounds at it. The sound reverberates throughout the area, before he fires the full magazine, and begins to reload, slowly, from a fresh, full magazine from his vest, one handed. "I picked the G17 because it's a good baseline. You can find your own preferences. The Taurus Judge is a favorite."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky steps back and on the opposite side of the eject to watch Shadowlite shoot. The way she is looking at him could be considered impressed, others might call it closer to hero worship. As he switches magazines her eyes follow his movement, head bobbing slowly. "I think once I get the hang of it, I'll be fine. I need to learn finesse, not find handicaps," She says as she lifts the gun and sits down it at the black target. She doesn't have any bullets, but she can still get a feel for the heft.

Shadowlite has posed:
Then, he replaces the G17 in its' holster, before he pulls the Judge out, "Revolvers have a whole different feel to them, depending on how the cylinder itself is reloaded." Shadowlite shows her the revolver from all angles, before he hits the safety and replaces it once more. "Do some dry firing to get a feel for the recoil from the slide itself. We can move onto live ammo after."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky glances up from the sight as he pulls out the revolver. "They also are sexier," She admits with a little smirk. As he slides it away she looks back down the sight of her own Glock and does several dry fires. Her arms don't even quicker from the recoil and she looks up with a frown. "Isn't there supposed to be some wobble?" She asks in confusion. Another unknown bonus to super strength. Recoil? What recoil.

Shadowlite has posed:
"There is, but you're strong enough that you don't feel it from the slide. You might feel the pull from live ammo, though." Then, Shadowlite places a magazine on the table, "Go ahead and load this in. Be sure to use the slide catch."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky glances up and then nods, ejecting the empty magazine and picking up the one with the actual ammo. Taking the great care all newcomers have when first loading a gun she keeps it aimed at the ground. Then slides the magazine, working the catch, and chambering a round with a fair degree of ease. "Oh. I think I did it?" She isn't sure, so probably beginners luck or the online lessons again having some use. She looks up at him with a half smile, unsure if she should be pleased over the fact she seems to be picking this up easily. "Shall I?" She asks, nodding to the various targets he has up.

Shadowlite has posed:
He takes a look through the entire process, before Shadowlite gives a thumbs up, "Fire a round, see if you feel it."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky turns to eye one of the paper targets. Then she flicks the safety off and pulls the trigger. It seems she hit it, though not anywhere close to center. "I felt something. Sort of like someone flicking you with their fingers, maybe?" She says before lifting the gun again. She fires three more times, her focus intense, and within those three shots zeros in on center.

Shadowlite has posed:
"A big factor in accuracy for people is handling recoil, and stance. With your strength, your problem will be getting used to the operation and maintenance." Then, Shadowlite looks over to the table.

Putting his Judge away, he takes a Remington 870 by the pump and the stock, and shows it to Vicky. "This will give some kick. They're also fairly easy to operate." He opens a pouch on his vest, and starts to pull out 12 gauge shells, sliding them into the tube magazine, before he pumps it... and aims the shotgun towards his construct. "Like so." He fires, the recoil visible in his form at the shoulder, before he hands it over to Vicky, "Try it."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky flicks the safety on and hands the Glock to Michael as she takes the Remingston. She hefts it, gets the feel for it, and aims down the range. Shotguns not needing as much accuracy she never the less takes that extra second to aim at the darkforce construct. The kick of the shotgun is noticable, but mostly in how her muscles tense notably in her shoulder. "Ah! That one I felt," She says with a nod and smile. "What next?" She asks, really seeming to be getting into the lesson and trying out the different weaponry there is to offer.
