Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Lex Luthor, Redstar

Lex Luthor has posed:
LexCorp Tower. Home of the Man of Tomorrow.

Also home to many, many other facilities. But the big thing everyone knows is this is the nerve center od a worldwide corporate Empire; the center of the LexCorp web that Alexander Luthor himself built from nothing.

Lex Luthor is sitting at his work desk, a minor emergency on a project requiring sign off for repairs. With worldwide communications being affected, he's resorted to snail mail.

Never let it be said Lex Luthor isn't a practical man, when it comes down to it.

The elite Team Luthor security force, along with Mercy and Hope, are guarding the floor, patrolling as standard.

Redstar has posed:
Vicky wasn't sure at all how to approach LexCorp to take the Man of Tomorrow up on his offer at first. But thanks to a certain god her fear had melted and it had given her a clarity. Unfortunately with phones down her only real option was going to the office personally.

Though she knew she probably should be wearing something nicer than a skater dress, and looking like a punky rocker, it wasn't like they made interview attire with open backs. It looked really, really good on her, of course, but it was not what one would call professional.

As she hovered a block from the building she considered her approach. Quickly she opted for first circling the building, looking for the fanciest office, though doubting that would help. It was likely the windows were only meant to allow inside to look out. Still, if he was there he would see her. She hoped. And she opted to land on the roof at the end and wait.

Lex Luthor has posed:
His people had in fact been informed about Vicky, so Vicky hovering about actually drew some chuckles from Team Luthor and Lex himself... content to wait for the winged teenager to figure out what she was doing, Lex went back to work.

Then, she finally landed on the roof, setting off silent intruder alarms... which drew some Team Luthor guards in /very/ fancy looking gear to the rooftop. Perhaps surprisingly though, they don't point those carbines at her... instead, two of them approach her. "Mr. Luthor has been expecting you. You can walk down with us, or fly down two floors and wait for him to let you in." The man in the helmet on the right gave.

Redstar has posed:
Vicky is found simply waiting looking at the view from the top of the LexCorp tower. As the door to the roof opens she turns to look and gives them a little smile. "Oh, well...I didn't know what the protocol was," She says apologetically as she walks forward, eyeing the carbines with a certain amount of new-found interest. "Nice," She comments to one with a cheeky teen grin.

Down they go and she follows them, wings tucked as tightly in as was possible. Doorwards were still annoying and she mostly managed to not clip them with the sharp tips. "Sorry," She said the once it happened, cringing and looking at the mild scratch left behind on the stairwell frame.

Then on to that big office wit the amazons Mercy and Hope looking as intimidating as they had previously. Though she shared a height with them, she was nowhere near as professional or trained. They each were given a smile and an assessing look before being led to Lex himsself. "Hi," She says with her awkward little smile and a hand wave from the hip.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Security escorted her down and into the main office, past the secretary pit... and promptly shut the door, leaving Vicky with one of the most powerful men on the planet.

When Vicky came inside, Lex pressed the intercom, "I don't want any interruptions today for the next half hour." The secretary outside replies, "Yes, Mr. Luthor."

Mercy and Hope both move to each side of the desk, their arms crossed as they watch Vicky like hawks... but have no aggression on their postures, just cautious awareness. Then, Luthor speaks.

"I've been looking forward to this for a while now. The Index file that was put into public on you didn't do you any justice, it seems." Then, he brings out a hand, offering a seat in front of his desk... which also happens to give a great view of Metropolis proper, behind him. It's easy to feel like he's the King of his domain from up here. "Please, take a seat if you like. I believe we have much to discuss."

Redstar has posed:
Vicky clasps her hands before her and glances between the bodyguards again, meeting each of their eyes. It isn't a challenge, just an acknowledgement of their station and duty, perhaps even meaning to convey a bit of respect.

There is a slight blush at the mention of the index file. Mostly because of the incorrect information it contains and the difficulties it has caused. "Oh that," She says, her voice conveying her opinion of the leak.

The view is hard to ignore as she steps closer. Her eyes go from the offered chair to the city of Metropolis. "Wow, great view," She comments as she comes to the chair and perches on the arm. Wings and chairs are always difficult.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Last time we met, you made quite the impression with your winter theatrics; I assume that sudden cold was you, anyway." Lex gives in more of a statement than a question, before he leans back, steepling his fingers. "Before we go any further though. I have one question; what do you want from your life?"

Redstar has posed:
Vicky nods her head anyway, claiming the cold as hers. Calling it theatrics makes her smirk a little bit though she fights it. It is clear she is still awkward even though she isn't a bit afraid of Lex. Or even of the Amazons guarding him. In this room, she is low on the totem pole and that is just fine. What causes her surprise, however, is his actual question. It makes her blink a few times and frown, her eyes flickering up and to the side in thought. "That's...something I've been struggling to find out myself lately. But I don't want to have to run anymore," She says at last.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Run from what?" Lex replies. His head tilting at the question.

Redstar has posed:
Vicky raises a brow in surprise and says, "I'm wanted by SHIELD as a threat, I was put away in a mental institution by my parents and..well, I should probably tell you this. I don't know why I interest you, but...I kind of have a conjoined soul twin that's a demon." There has never been an easy way for her to describe it before, but after recent events things had become easier...and far more confusing at the same time. "The demon did some bad things that got me in that institution. Only because my parents had influence did I not wind up in jail for what she did. But I'm pretty sure I have some kind of record..." Lex likely already knows it, even if she doesn't.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"You're honest, I'll give you that." Lex replies, before he takes a few seconds to regard her. "A demon soul twin... that's a new one." Then, Lex stands, and begins to turn around, walking over to the wall and facing outwards, staring down into Metrpolis with his hands clasped at his back. "I came from a rough childhood myself, and built this empire on nothing but my will and my wits."

Lex takes a moment, before he continues, "I'm interested in you for a very specific reason; despite all of what you just told me, you swooped in to help against a group of assassins trying to capture me... and you did it with SHIELD personnel there." Lex notes, "Then, you took the invitation I gave you and despite your doubts, you took the plunge to find out what I want. Now, you don't seem dangerous... and I do know people who can take a look at you, do an honest assessment and evaluate you, see if SHIELD would be willin to change their stance on your recommendation."

Lex then turns to regard her, "Should I take that plunge?"

Redstar has posed:
"I really have no reason to lie. It does me and you very little good. I know that I have problems, I'm working on them, and honestly Starr is not as bad as a normal demon. It's..." Vicky pauses and purses her lips, considering her words for a few seconds. "Humans have a conscience, morality, ethics. Demons don't. The merging of our souls has fundamentally changed her...so while she isn't pleasant and won't hesitate to kill...she doesn't just go about doing it for pleasure."

~Most of the time.~ What? A girl's got to keep up appearances even if she is a demon with an annoying cricket on her shoulder. Starr snorts in amusement, but says nothing else to Vicky.

Vicky's lips twitch in a smirk and she very barely shakes her head before looking back at Lex, listening to his spiel. After a moment she licks her lips and tilts her head slightly before replying, "To be fair, I didn't know who anyone was in there. I just saw something bad happening and knew I could do something." A pause as she takes a breath before continuing, "I'm not running anymore. I'll take the plunge if you will," She says, spreading her hands. There is no way on her own she could easily change things with SHIELD, let alone the police, but Lex. Lex had the kind of clout and power to do that.

~Thinking smart finally. She can be taught!~

"Oh shut up," Vicky snaps at Starr, then smacks a hand over her mouth. "Sorry! No, not you. That...ah...she talks to me. And sometimes she just..." She lets out a frustrated huff of breath.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"You didn't know who was in there... but you did it anyway. A truly selfless act of protection." Lex Luthor points out. "I'm not going to promise anything yet, but I'm just as curious as you are about your... condition. I would assume you're interested in learning about it yourself. But, that means finding a /mystic/, as well as a psychologist with experience in these matters. I have a few candidates in mind, but I'll need time with the global comm blanket down." Lex notes, before he smiles. Charisma oozes from the man at moments like these; he really knows how to play to a crowd... or an interview, "It sounds like you're interested?"

Redstar has posed:
Vicky shrugs her shoulders and concedes the act was selfless, looking relieved he didn't even comment on the outburst. She hated when she was goaded into those. They were usually very embarrassing, but he was smooth and eased a smile back out of her. "Yeah, that is a hell of a thing," The blackout of course and she licks her lips. "Yeah, I had started about a month ago trying to find a mystic myself. It led to some issues...like that video attached to the leak. And all the girls who disappeared," She cringes at the memories, none pleasant.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"The important thing here is to find someone SHIELD is willing to believe. You will also need to get your other half to take responsibility for her actions, as well." Lex points out as as moves back to his chair, sitting down and going over his keyboard, the holoprojector facing him as he cycles through a list. "If you are taken off the wanted list, do you have any plans beyond that? I would be very interested in having your abilities for LexCorp, depending on how your tests go." Lex notes as he reads.

Redstar has posed:
Vicky shifts on the seat arm, leaning against the back, and purses her lips thoughtfully. "I...actually I have a friend who knows someone. He wants me to meet and talk with him. Someone named Clint?" The name is not familiar to her. She rolls and shoulder and offers a weak smile. "Starr has no problem admitting to things. She just thinks she did it for the right reasons..." Demon logic muddled by human ego is a weird mix.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Clint Barton of SHIELD?" Lex inquires as he flicks over the hologram, bringing up the file.

Redstar has posed:
Vicky frowns and glances at the image and then back to Lex. "I don't know, I guess? Lar just said Clint, nothing else. After this Rising Tide bs is done with," She says. "As to what I want when things are done...I...I just want to be useful. Want to put what I have as a result of all the shit that's gone on to good use."

Lex Luthor has posed:
"That's awfully vague. I'd recommend getting a bit more detail before you agree to that." Lex observes, before he leans back in his chair. "everyone has an ambition of some kind. For some, it's pleasure. For others, it's protecting their loved ones. Personally, I'm interested in the pusuit of knowledge, and of helping humanity reach it's full potential." Luthor declares.

"You'll have plenty of time to think it later, at least. I'll look into the arrangements. Meanwhile, I'd recommend exploring the LexMall down on the ground floor." It's not quite a dismissal... but has the implications of one.

Redstar has posed:
Vicky tilts her head slightly the other way and slowly rises to her feet. "Not bad goals at all," She agrees with that same awkward smile. "I'll ask my friend for more details, I wasn't planning to go in blind, but you make a good point." She begins to turn and heads out. Then pauses and turns back, "And thank you." She reaches to pull open the door of his office and head out, giving a polite nod and smile to Hope and Mercy as she goes.
