Cast of Characters: Thor, Rogue, Scarlet Witch

Thor has posed:
Thor has found his ancient axe, and Thor has also been going around talking to potential Avengers, or at least the one. The one scrawny kid that is really fast. This fact this kid could become an Avenger sooner rather than later was reassuring and yet disturbing to this god of thunder.

The blonde haired semi-giant stands in the basket ball court portion of the gym with his large single bladed axe held in his hands as he looks down with his chin against his breast. The lord of lightning is in some sort of self induced trance and seems very busy with his thoughts.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is walking into the gym from one of the main entrances off of the hallway. Its one of the biggest rooms in the mansion and it has several entrances.

She's got a simple tracksuit on that she'd just bought, cause new clothes always help motivate you to actually exercise! at least once or twice anyway before they lose their power of motivation.

Rogue is setting down her drink on a bench when she sees Thor out on the court and she just peers at him while getting her earbuds ready and plugged into her cell phone.

"Asgardians are weird." She quietly mutters, having met at least two of them so far this past year in the Manhattan area.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda is not only not sporty, she doesn't even like to watch them. Which begs: why is she here at all?

She'd have no better answer for you than you would, but despite all that, there she is, in the gym, sitting on the sidelines, watching Thor. That's right, she's sitting there. Watching Thor. With an axe. In the basketball court. Because none of that sounds like a recipe for disaster or weird.

Rogue's commentary merely has Wanda tilting her head as she considers Thor in the light of the other woman's regard, and sighing. "I do not understand this thing he is doing."

Thor has posed:
"Have you considered it's you who is weird. Midgardian?" Thor asks with his blond eyebrow lifting up on his forehead and his eyelid under that brow slipping open to eye the skunk haired mutant.

Thor opens his other eye and lifts his chin from his chest. "Rogue, why art thou exorcising? Doesn't the power Carol grant you everything you could physically need?" The god inqiures as he turns the axe over in his hands and the tip of the blade meets the wooden floor and he drags it behind him as he walks towards Wanda and Rogue, leaving a cut in the wood without meaning to.

The god looks to Wanda and her words. "It was meditation. Something all warriors must do. A clear mind equals a perfect blade. I am simply honing my warrior's wit." Yes, those are words, and they COULD make sense if it wasn't Thor who's all smashy smashy, hit it with lightning.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue spies Wanda and looks to her with a big grin. "Does he even know?" She has to ask the other female AVengers. "Either way, I don't mind him doin' it... whatever 'it' is." She can't help but laugh a little before her hands reach down to pick up her drink.

When Thor questions her specifically she just smirks at his retort and then the question. "I just like t'sweat, its better than sittin' in front've a TV or a computer screen all day, ya know?"

A sip from her drink is taken and the southern teen walks around the bench and sits herself down on its edge. "Pretty axe, by the way."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda's cheeks flush with a faintness of pink.

"Does he know?" The question seems to encompass many things.

Her cheeks still have that gentle flush when as she murmurs, "I do not think that is how to meditate." At least it is not how she is most familiar with the process. Mind you, she isn't a warrior, nor is she likely to ever be one. Her focus isn't found in things physical and of large movements and grand gestures; hers is found the smallness of details and the drawing inward; the reaching out and down and into the leylines and natural foci of the world, letting them encompass her.

She truly can not comprehend the differences - or the similarities.

Thor has posed:
"Sweating is a weird thing to like." Thor says matter of factly. "I enjoy doing some things that happen to make me sweat. Like the slaying of a field of enemies and frost giants. Things that need a good destroying or smiting." Thor says as he steps closer to the two women and hefts his axe off the court, no longer ruining the court.

"Do I know what?" The man asks with his blue eyes darting back and forth between Wanda and Rogue.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just shakes her head and smiles at Thor as he approaches with the axe. "Sweatin' is fun. It means your heart is poundin' and your blood is flowin' it means you're lungs are pumpin' and that you're... -alive-. Some of us are only alive for a short time, in the grand scheme'a things." She takes another drink from her water bottle and glances to Wanda. "I don't know what the two'a you think, but I know for me? I wanna make myself work hard before I get put in some hole for the rest've eternity."

She looks back to Thor then. "So where'd ya get the axe? Can I have one?"

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda sits up pertly, trying very hard not to look out of place and uncomfortable as the conversation strays into things she would rather not be discussing.. like what Thor does or does not know. It's not like she has an answer to that, and like everything else going on in her life right now, she's trying to avoid making any executive decisions.

"There are so many ways to be alive," she protests. "Why is it that it is only the sweat that people talk about? I do not see how it is that because you can hit, or throw, that you are so much better than the others."

It's not so much that she hasn't known the physical, or can't or won't engage in it, as much as that's not where her talents lie, nor her wonts. And, truth be known, she's more than a little embarrassed at being caught out appreciating the very thing she's protesting against.

When Rogue changes subjects, she relaxes with visible relief.

Thor has posed:
"I went to the jungles of Xemico! It was sweaty and hot and made my heart beat like crazy as though I was in another battle. And this axe..." Thor says looking at it in his hands before he tosses it end over end towards Rogue. "It's incredibly dangerous." For him at least, but maybe not for the mutant who didn't enchant it to kill celestials and all kinds of beings thousands of years ago. For her it's just an ornate war axe that isn't anything special or heavy or magical, though it is, magical. "No, you can't have it. I want to send this thing back to Asgard as soon as I get my hammer back." The god responds.

Thor turns his attention to Wanda to respond to her open mouth thoughts, "I only know the physical, I am not the deep kind of man, I live using my instincts and that tends to be sweating and hitting things." Thor notes, kind of somber about that fact too.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue wasn't one to really understand awkward discomfort in people when it comes to conversational topics, she'll talk about almost anything with generally a smile or a grin. She's about to say something else when she looks over to Thor and he's tossing the axe at her!

Rogue's water bottle is dropped down to the floor at the foot of the weight bench and it spills water everywhere on the floor while her gloved hands reach up to catch the orange axe by its large handle with both sets of fingers wrapping around it.

It weighs nothing to the mutant girl, like just about everything else. She looks it up and down and then over to the God as he's addressing Wanda now.

"I ain't neve'ah been to a jungle before. I'd very much like t'see one someday." She quietly comments, moving to stand up and hold the axe vertically up in front of her, slowly turning it to a horizontal state.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Thor's words are not a surprise to Wanda - she remembers their conversation from some evenings past. Of course, she'd been the one showing physical prowess... if you count cheating. Though it never really seemed *quite* like cheating to her. It merely was what it was; what she was.

Still, it showed a gap between herself and others and made her wonder if maybe she were the odd one out. An unusual thought given her heritage. Feats of physical stregth and similar prowess weren't exactly lauded in her family. At least on the merely physical side - there was always some mental component where they were involved, even when performing such feats.

The axe is regarded with curiosity, though. Magic - that Wanda understands, and understands intimately as the markings off her own palm, or her fingerprints. "Might I?" She does not make a move, or show any sort of impatience while Rogue looks at the thing, but her attention is brought to bear where it hadn't been before. Suddenly engaged in the conversation on an equal footing.

Of jungles, she has no comment.

Thor has posed:
"It's nice and awful at the same time. We can go in a quinjet, or when I get my hammer back." Thor says, making it clear that yes, the god of thunder needs his hammer and will need it soon. "We can go this weekend." Thor says with a shrug then a glance back to Wanda and then to Rogue again, "You two take turns." The god says as he walks around the benches and finds the bench press system, which happens to be right next to where the girls are standing and so he wont miss any of the conversation.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue has the axe head straight flat in front of her now with the dangerous end on her right side when Wanda approaches. After letting her green eyes look it over she hands it over to Wanda with a grin. "Its pretty sexy, huh?" She says to the other woman before she steps back again after handing it to the one known as SWitch.

"I mean, I don't know nothin' about that kinda World'a Warcraft stuff, but its pretty sexy as far as I can tell."

The southern teen crouches down to scoop up her bottle of water and looks back to Thor. "You need some help gettin' the hammer back though, let me know and I'll happily pitch in with all my Carol'y goodness."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda's cheeks flush anew, though to her credit, she manages to come back with a quiet, "Very sexy, yes." As though she thinks such things about axes on a daily basis...

The thing is taken and turned in her hands, regarding it as only one of her skills can regard such a thing. Picking it apart on magical levels to ascertain its qualities and abilities, and whether or not the thing is as innocuous as Thor might wish to believe it is.

"I do not understand. What is it that happened to your hammer? And why do we not just.." And there Wanda must stop herself as she isn't sure if the thing is lost or broken, or if it was stolen, or some other such fate befallen it. It's not quite so simple as 'why don't we just'.

"I'm sorry, that is rude of me. If it were so simple," she murmurs in her lilting cadence, "you would have it in your hands and not be swinging an axe instead. It must be very much a loss for you, like you have a hand missing." Or, on levels she can understand more intimately, as though she could not feel the leylines that traverse beneath her feet and link upon the nodes of power that infuse the world.

Rogue's words do make her ponder, though, "Is it a thing we can help with? Your hammer, I mean."

Thor has posed:
"World of Warcraft? That sounds like the best kind of world." The god of thunder remarks as he reaches up to the polished handle of the weights and lifts it up and down to his chest repeatedly as he continues talking.

"I appreciate thyne offer Rogue. I will certainly ask for your help once I find out where it is." Then Thor turns his head towards Wanda, "I'm not sure how you can help. As far as I know it's no longer in this dimension, and where it could be is anywhere else in the multiverse." The god man reports while pumping iron like it's a young kid building lego. This is just nothing to the god.

The axe has been mystically enchanted to cut through anything, up to and including celestial armor and it is something the blade has done before many times in the past. This is a deadly blade that has split countless gallons of blood and changed entire civilizations, and it houses a darker part of Thor's psyche, one that he thought lost when he stopped wielding the axe and started holding the hammer.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue checks her phone and she smiles to the other two. "Alright, well. I'm gonna go see a movie with a friend." She tells them as she turns and starts toward the doorway. "Ya'll need anything, just track me down and I'm there for ya. You're both sexy beasts, all three of you." The axe too!

Rogue take a drink of what was left of her water and then tosses the bottle into the recycling bin before she reaches up to undo her hair from the ponytail that it was in and she moves toward the exit back to the hallway.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda? A sexy beast? Oh yeah. Cheeks are scarlet. Even if Rogue doesn't mean anything by her words.

She just quietly hands Thor his axe and murmurs something under her breath that mostly equates to 'maybe I should go now' or quite possibly 'I haven't a clue what to say to that'. (Or maybe she just needs a stiff drink!)

Whatever it was, it seems the little grouping is breaking apart and will reconvene at a later date.
