Nick Fury has posed:
The doors open into SHIELD Triskelion Security and the tall, dark, handsome man that enters is instantly recognizable - Nick Fury, the Director of SHIELD. His eye scans the room, looking for someone specific...and when he sees her, he nods and moves forward without too much fanfare.

Moving to where Skye can see him, Fury grabs a nearby chair, and sits down in front of where Skye was currently being held. Crossing his left leg over his right, Fury leans back, sighs, and says, "So. Here you are. Looks like you are no worse for wear."

Quake has posed:
When she'd been dragged to the holding room, Skye wasn't quite sure who she'd be facing. Mostly she expected her lawyer. After all, Fury hadn't seemed all that inclined to peek in on her yet, even though she was feeling she'd run the course of what she could glean from the other inmates from the Rising Tide round-up. A few names of family members. A few locations to be checked. Mostly they were all grumbling now and resigned to their fate.

That it was Fury was unexpected, but a welcome sight. Even if she was still pissed with the man.

"For some value of no worse for wear."

She wasn't terribly inclined to make it easy for him.

Nick Fury has posed:
"AH. Yes. Still holding it all pent up in here I see." Fury taps his chest just above his heart with his left hand. "Well, the first part of all this is over. I am sure things will be fine." Fury looks at Skye for several moments, not saying a word.

"Look, I know it was hard, but you did an unbelievable job considering what you were up against. Well done." Fury takes a few moments, looks behind him, and around, and leans forward. WHispering, Fury says, "How are you? Really?" Fury then sits back, waiting for it with a calm, serene, cool expression.

Quake has posed:
Skye frowns, and then scowls. "You think this is all about the mission? Fuck that. That's not what I'm angry about. I'm angry about how you screwed my life over. And the fact that you knew. You damn well knew who I was when you nabbed me and you fucking went on like nothing had happened."

Not that she knows if SHIELD had followed her during her years after she ran from the group home. It's really more likely they only put two and two together after they'd caught up with her as a hacker on their radar.

"I'm fucking fine other than that. Not really enjoying the lock-up experience, but I know my job, and I busted my ass for you people, so I think you owe me an explanation before I decide whether or not I'm walking."

She says that like she's actually considering walking - which she isn't, not that Fury knows that for certain. Or maybe he does.

Nick Fury has posed:
"Ahhhh." Fury leans further back and crosses his arms across his chest. "I was wondering if you would throw a temper tantrum." Fury sighs, and shakes his head. "Look I can appreciate you being upset, even cut you a little leeway and some slack. Things have been tough. I understand that." His voice lowers, almost to a whisper, "But don't think that I didn't take everything into consideration, and use you to get the outcome that was best for SHIELD, the country, and the planet. Agent Johnson. Sacrifices always have to be made for the greater good. It just sucks that it was you. This time. And maybe next time."

Fury pauses, and then adds, "Never forget that I know the big picture. You are just a Level 2. When you are the Director, you will understand things a bit better." Fury stands up, grabs the chair, and puts it against the wall. Looking over his shoulder, Fury says, "Everything will become a lot more clearer as a Level 4, Agent Johnson."

Fury opens the door, and then says, "Are you coming or not?" Fury tosses her her badge, and offers her her weapon once more. "Or are we going to continue to argue about who screwed who over. AFter all, the game is only starting Agent Johnson. It has only begin." Was that the ghosdt of a smile on Fury's face?

Quake has posed:
The scowl remains. "That's it? Here's your badge. Sorry we made your life hell? Too bad, so sad about your childhood?"

Skye shakes her head, but notably, she cups her hand over her badge. Yeah, he's got her pegged.

Then it hits her, and she scowls even more.

"And what the hell is it with you and promoting me when I'm too pissed off to appreciate it? This is twice now. Damn you. I risked everything for SHIELD. I deserve some explanation for that file on me I read."

Her lips twitch over annoyance. "And fuck you, because I can't believe I'm saying this, but you know the logical conclustion of this is to drop charges on a technicality and send me back in to Hydra. And no, I am not volunteerinng. I just.. can't not point it out." It's clear she's annoyed with herself for being that diligent.

Nick Fury has posed:
"Of course. What file?" Fury says innocently. Tapping his eye patch, Fury adds, "I know all and see all. That's why the Universe made me Director. Now get yer ass in gear, and let's get moving before I change my mind, Field Agent Johnson." Fury still hasn't answered any questions, or been baited by her comments. He simply raises his arm, and waves it towards the exit.

"You should know by now, I wouldn't dare do that to Hydra..." Or would he? "You see, you shoudl also know that I don't sweat the small stuff, Agent Johnson. The big stuff, maybe a little. That's why I smoke and drink. Makes up for all the shady stuff that happens on our doorstep every day."

Fury heads out the door, and adds, "And that's why I get young people like you to do the dirty work. So that even younger people out there..." Fury waves vaguely towards the city "...can grow up and buy sports cars, tacos, and smart phones. Get married, and have more punk kids we'll probably have to deal with. Seen it all before...gonna see it again, ah know it..." His voices trails off as he gets further away from the security entrance.

Quake has posed:
Oh, she's pissed, alright, that he's avoided answering. Of course, she's aces in the hole that she can use to unencrypt her own file, and once she does, she's going to march herself back into his office and continue this discussion.

For now, though, Skye gets up from the table, and pockets her badge, knowing there are going to be a few faces in the hallways looking at her with some new respect considering the shit she's put up with in holding, and the operation in its entirety.

"Wait, whay? Field Agent? Huh?" And that puts a smile she can't help on her lips, especially as his back has already retreated far down the hallways where he can't see her reaction. "Well, fuck me. Field Agent. Suck on that boys. I'm not the IT girl anymore."
