Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Gambit, Star Sapphire

Gambit has posed:
The mediterranean Sea, Ibiza. A location known for it's beauty, yoga retreats, beaches and a vibrant nightlife from Ibiza Town on to Sant Antoni.
A thing unexpected. A Tech Convention, some of the wealthest and most competitive names in the world have gathered for this elite gathering of the minds.
It is kept to theme, dark yet bright all at once much like a Tron movie, open floors, dividing walls, black-on-grey-on-black with NEON. Each panel something new, each panel showing off a concept, idea or prospective failure. This is millionaire to billionaire range spending.

Flying cars are a thing of now, VTOL is everywhere, space travel? Thats a hip thing, a very real thing and something each kiosk here claims they can do better.

Remy LeBeau's presence is one of mystery, his moonlighting as an X-Men in recent days has been slow in coming, some do-gooding here and there but at the core, at his heart, hes a rogue, a thief, an alleycat always looking for the next most dangerous path to scale.
In a black suit with maroon tie the man fits in with the sunglasses at night look going on here, even the sandals without socks many are sporting, yet he didnt go that far, hes actually wearing a pair of nice glossy black dress shoes.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol Ferris walks among the throngs of edgy "I'm hip, honest!" young men in suits...and sandals. Her crisp lavender tailored skirtsuit is a thing of a bygone era - reminiscent of Jacqueline O'Nassis, and stewardesses on continental flights. Her hair is a cascade of curls, however, flowing from beneath a hat of the same shade of lavender as her dress. It bears matched netting that barely covers the brim in a sort of faux-veil, and a ribbed satin hatband.

As Carol moves along the displays, stopping here and there to admire or ask questions, she spares no regret for passing on the sandals, opting instead for a pair of ivory heels. Such a rebel.

Gambit has posed:
Remy is feigning as much interest as he can at some sort of flight distortion sound wave modifcation... words, lots of scientific words he doesnt' think belong in a sentence. At least the Cajun has paid enough attention to Star Trek to nod his head, laugh here and there and insert strange names of devices, many of them getting him odd looks back.
"Trust me, mon ami, I am smart. I know these things." He assures the glasses wearing GIANT man in front of him, the guy scowls, shrugs and carries on his presentation.

Leaning to the side, Remy whispers to the closest person, "This man-bear about three seconds from mauling me. Mind telling me if this thing worth a penny or no?" Act interested, thats the idea. Pretend to be wealthy. Also the other idea.
A woman with a tray and glowing drinks drifts by, with a quick and graceful pivot LeBeau is snaring one off and dropping several bills in to the ladie's small coin cache, "Just what I been waiting for." A flash of a smile, a returned eyelash flutter and blush and hes back to staring forward.

Star Sapphire has posed:
"I wouldn't waste my money, if I were you," replies Carol quietly without making eye contact with the Cajun. "There is technology that has already cleared the research and testing phases which will render this obsolete." She spares a glance up at the stranger who also opted out of sandals, affording him a polite smile. "But that's just me. Carol Ferris," she says, offering the stranger a hand in a friendly gesture. "Nice to meet someone who looks as uncomfortable here as I feel."

Gambit has posed:
"No?" Remy inquires of the woman, "He says it comes in gunmetal though." The man pauses, "Gunmetal." As though this is a big deal. He is overselling it.

A lift up of the tall and lean brunette's eyebrows has him gazing past dark shades at Carol, "Ferris? Like the planes, huh? Also American. That very nice." A lingering look, ivory heels to curly dark hair. "Extra nice." The man insists pleasantly, "Maybe walk with me? Name is Remy. Tell me what around here be worth a steal... "
"At a decent price."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol inclines her head, sensing...something. She can't quite put her finger on what, precisely. The man is difficult to read. Deception permeates many of his motives to the point that she cannot readily separate what's true from what's false.

"Certainly, I could use a bit of distraction," she says, silencing the vibration on her phone for what is probably the twentieth time since she arrived at the convention. She leads the way, gesturing to a few of the displays and giving a little information on whether they're worth the time it takes to hear the spiel. "That one there, for example, molecular cloaking - They have already reached a second version of the technology, but that isn't quite public knowledge, just yet anyway. When they reach a critical mass of clients, they will announce the second version with an explanation of why the upgrade is not only helpful, but essential. The joke in the office, however, is that the only real difference between the first and second versions is the speed of molecular turnover is ten percent higher. Given that the product they offer takes a few seconds at most, you're talking about a quarter of a second, at best. That, and the new one has a secret cow level." She laughs lightly and shakes her head. "Best bet there would be to wait until version two is in full swing, swoop in and buy the outdated version on the cheap, and laugh all the way to the bank.

Gambit has posed:
"You got the most adorable dimple in the world right... " Remy's fingertips rise up and flick towards her left cheek, "There, when you said the word's 'secret cow level'. Tres beau." The man adds before stepping away from that cubby, no more violent NEON green and angry man the size of a bear trying to sell subpar. That much is obvious.
"Distractions I can do. Molecular cloaking? That another one, that around here some place?" The Cajun is doing his best not to sound to eager there, that could be many things to him. It sounds like a useful tool though and if, his orientation is to end up looking for thrills.

"Carol Ferris of America, this Ibiza, guessing you decided a good vacation and the rest of your coworkers could go suffer in Berlin?" A second glass is snatched from one of the passing tray carriers, this is offered to Carol, it's liquid themed to the convention brilliant pink, not Pepto but vibrant, lit up. They're unfortunately not as strong as radioactive lights they put out. Tasty though.
"Walk with me, educate me. I'm a frontman, sales and scouting, real knowledge come from the techs and eggheads." Not a lie for the swamp rat.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol smiles at Remy's observation, and glances over toward the cloaking display. "Right now, the cost is obscene. It'd be well worth the money if the right person could get ahold of it and use it to steal--oh but that's just highly unlikely, isn't it?" She winks. Deception of the level that saturates this man, likely permeates every endeavour he should attempt. If there's one upside to technology on the loose, it is that the code, and hence the technology itself, is fair game to imitate. And emulate.

"Not that I'd ever suggest it to anyone."

Gambit has posed:
"That one 'eh?" Remy says, "Make me an obvious thief if I said I intended just that?" The joke is in there, his tone says hes serious but his crooked smile has him drifting past it on down the isle to the standing bar midway between what appears to be a high-tech ocular piece and a piece of fabric, supposedly fire retardent, weather sealing and edible. No one has taken a bite yet though.

"No, nothiing here I plan on emulating or otherwise, a false lead from an investor, sent me to a thing that wasn't the right thing. Complete waste of time."

A pause as he tips his drink back, taking up another from the bar, more money sliding out in folds, "Well, almost complete waste o time. Meeting you a slight perk in de night."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol pauses, arching a brow skeptically as she reads through the characteristics of the protective fabric. "I...don't eat anything that fire can't eat." She smirks, tipping her glass to down a mouthful of the vibrant pink concoction procured by her new companion. "Surprisingly, this doesn't taste all that glowy."

Gambit has posed:
"No, we need stronger if we want to glow." Remy agrees. "They're a side too fruity, drink enough, maybe the glow come later." A look past her at the throng of people surrounding an android being powered on and he huffs, "Too dark in here. Want to go on outside? This place of beaches and sun, this too much of a cave for me."

Star Sapphire has posed:
"Definitely," replies the brunette, as the android powers up, freezes, and needs to be rebooted. Carol follows his lead as they wind their way out of the labyrinth toward fresh air. "So what was it you were sent to find, if you don't mind my asking? I might be able to set you on the right path, if I know what you're looking for."

Gambit has posed:
"I was told I'd know it when I see it." Remy plays coy, "Not a cop are you?" Hands both rise up as they hit the elevator leading up, light will be theres soon and once more those dark shades will make sense as to why he has them.

"Actually, a short range acceleration charger, I'm saying it wrong, it's used in rail guns as well as engines. Someone wants to corner it off this particular region." Sounds like it makes sense to him. It just might.
Warm air blasts them, music from further on down and ocean scents.
"Now this, this why I came here. You, Miss Ferris, maybe want to play tourist with me?"

"We just met but I promise you this won't end up a bad human trafficking movie. Unless you a real spirited one."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Carol smirks again, shaking her head. "I'm not worried. Certainly, I've seen much of the world, but this is one small corner I've never seen before." Something inside the man radiates a purity of heart that drowns out the deception. Despite the items he came seeking, and despite the secrecy, she can feel that his deepest self poses her no threat.

And if it turns out she's wrong? She'll just encase him in carbonite.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau despite the sideways manner in which he talks intends nothing but the further encouragement of Carol Ferris' smiling, joking around with him and a companion for drinking, like her, hes also a stranger in a strange land. Though, the Thiefs Guild is pulling some strings to get favors out of him, one he reluctantly finds himelf acting on but, nowhere in being a rogue does it say he has any intentions beyond the good. Redemption is after all the true desire of this particular scoundrel with a heart of gold.
