Cast of Characters: Redstar, Magneto

Redstar has posed:
It is still winter and the cold grips enough that the rink is still there. Likely till March 1st. Late in the evening no one is here but bums huddling and trying not to die of cold. But that isn't where Starr is. She is perched on the roof of the library looking out across the park. In one hand she twirls a badly made purple robe.

~Let me out, Starr. We had an agreement.~ Vicky has been pestering her all day. And night. And day again to no avail. The demon had maintained control with ease. The human mind fumed uselessly against her mental captor.

"This is for your own good. I have plans and I need you to not fuck them up. So be a good pet and stop trying to force the issue. There is no chance you can overcome me now. I am the boss. The tables have turned." Starr says quietly in reply. After a moment she throws the hood up into the air. A globe of vibrant white heat comes into being over her other hand and she tosses the globe at the hood. It is instantly incinerated, not even ash left behind.

Magneto has posed:
"I find often people gather the wrong impression when one talks to themselves on rooftops." A familiar voice rings out from the darkness, as from on high Magneto descends slowly but surely the tips of his feet touching the rooftop first before the soles do. He walks over hands down to his sides till he reaches the edge of the rooftop watching as the hood vaporizes. "We simply must stop meeting like this." He adds to the nights air.

Redstar has posed:
Starr glances up slowly to watch the Master of Magnetism float slowly onto the roof. Narrowed eyes look him over thoughtfully. She remember him and it makes her smirk when he speaks of meeting like this. "What? On rooftops? It's far better than meeting against another in a battlefield, hmmm?" She asks as she slides to her feet. "Vicky didn't recognize you, but -I- do. You're the man everyone says shot the president...did it give you pleasure?" The question is purely...curious. Even delighted to know, hopefuly that perhaps it was.

Magneto has posed:
"War is a proving ground, it's through battle one truly tests the character of another." He points out with a bit of a smile not put off in the slightest by her strange appearance. When one was the 'king of the mutants' it didn't behoove him to take things like appearance into account for even a moment.

"I'd assume it wouldn't feel much different then taking anyone's life." Spoken with a light shrug of the shoulders as he steps a foot up onto the edge of the building overlooking the world as he allows his cape to flow gracefully in the wind. "However as I didn't do it, I couldn't tell you." He pauses for a moments silence. "Which is a shame, because let's be reasonable: How many people alive today could claim they killed a president?"

Redstar has posed:
"Oh too true. Too true. Victoria knows that all too well, being a pupil of Ares. I suppose I am too, but she is the one who asked for it," Starr says idly as she brings up a hand and examines her claws. Then she glances over at the mutant leader with a certain bit of calculation in her eyes.

"Oh. Disappointing," Star says and actually pouts briefly. Head tilted to the side she shrugs her head and steps up next to Magneto. "Not many I admit. So tell me...if you knew of a place holding and testing on mutants who were convicted criminals or criminally insane...what would you do?" Surprising question? Perhaps. But she has very good reasons.

Magneto has posed:
"Take them to Genosha." The comment is given very little pause for thought or time to mull it over. A quick reaction from the man who see's himself as king of all Homo-Superior, but not one that anyone wouldn't expect given his reputation. "Better to receive the aid and attention they deserve in a land of their own kind then to be allowed to languish in a prison made by humans."

Redstar has posed:
"Hmmmm...and what about those who are not mutants, but treated as such?" Starr asks as she glances sideways at the purple cloaked man. "Would you take them too? Even if they are not 'kind'?" This is obviously going somewhere. But like any good demon she is taking her time and building towards it. "Because I know of a place. A horrible place. They may have abandoned it...but they may not have. Either way there was an orderly there I would dearly love to eviscerate. But..." A shoulder rolls casually. "They have enough people and special security I haven't sought revenge on my own."

Magneto has posed:
"My kind are people who need assistance." Magneto corrects. "The people the world neglects, rejects." He motions with his hands down towards an Orange fur covered man stuck alone to one corner the other homeless not seeming to want anything to do with him as he tries not to freeze in the winters night. "The ones they would sooner lock away then assist to find their true calling in life." He pauses looking up towards the moon. "They are my people, and I their king." His eyes drift back down towards Starr. "What kind of a king would allow his own people to suffer at the hands of the inferior who would see themselves judge, jury, and executioner?"

Redstar has posed:
Starr watches the man shiver and tilts her head to the side. "Mmmmm, I like how you thing," She purrs as the weather suddenly shifts from freezing to a balmy 78. The ice on the rink is shocked by the change and there is a loud *CRACK* as large fractures race through it.

"Oopsy," Starr says, obviously not at all caring. But the man, at least, is apparently going to be much better for at least a little while. At least until she leaves. "You've seen the SHIELD leak on Victoria Jones I imagine?"

Magneto has posed:
"I've seen many things." Magneto starts watching as the ice cracks, a slight smile crossing his face at the destruction, just barely noticeable. Or perhaps the smile is more directed to his fellow mutant finding just one moments respite from the harsh chill of the winter frost? Either way there's almost a smirk on his face. "And I find the leaks from SHIELD quite fascinating in deed, it shows the extent of their record keeping quite nicely."

Redstar has posed:
"Well...if this Genosha is as open as you say...then you know this place isn't exactly kindly desposed to Victoria. I, being her other half, have little interest in seeing her incarcerated or locked up again. She has this funny notion that going and visiting the people at SHIELD will solve everything," Starr's voice makes it clear what she thinks of that idea.

~What...what are you doing? I don't want to go to Genosha!~ Vicky's mind rallies suddenly, furiously, against Starr's own. But it is like water on oiled leather, her efforts sliding off. The demoness' face only twiches slightly.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto quietly tsks under his breath before speaking again in a kindly understanding voice. "Going to SHIELD would be akin to walking into a lions den with a pork chop wrapped around your neck." He looks towards her. "There's little doubt in my mind that should you walk to their doorstep they'd simply run experiments to find how best to turn you to a weapon." He shakes his head. "Hardly a fitting end for one such as yourself I must say."

Redstar has posed:
"My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately I have a little Daxamite alien problem who is very goody and very insistent on this," Starr says making a face. "So I've been trying to figure out how to avoid -both- issues together..." Slowly she turns her head from the ice to look at Magneto, eyes slightly narrowed. A smile that is not pleasant on her face.

Magneto has posed:
"Interesting" It's the only word to escape Magneto's lips as he takes a step back from the edge folding his arms one over the other before allowing his chin to rest on the edge of his gloved hand. The man is clearly deep in thought.

Redstar has posed:
Starr smirks and looks back to the orange-furred man shifting on his stone bench. As she approaches him the man shrinks back against the bench. She gives him a smile that is far from comforting and kneels beside it. "Sssshhhh. Did you know stone hold heats beautifully?" She purrs to the homless man. Another globe of blazing heat erupts around her hand and sets them both glowing with a light similar to arc welders. Then the hand with the glowing heat orb is passed below the bench. The globe heats the stone deeply and hot, but with the thin sleeping bag it won't burn him. But the bench? It isn't going to go cold for many hours.

Wide-eyed there will be no thanks and she doesn't need one. She didn't do it out of the kindness of her heart. It was to make a point, strike a chord, prove she -could- play the tune of the conductor. She spreads her arms as she turns towards Magneto. As if presenting herself, complete with amused little smirk.

Magneto has posed:
There's a slow clap from Magnus once the display is properly completed. He doesn't much change his expression as he stands on the edge of the rooftop merely watching from a distance. The message is well received at least if looks don't deceive. He remains deep in thought over the whole thing even as he slowly steps off the edge of the building and begins walking down to ground level.

Redstar has posed:
Starr gives a snort of a chuckle as she walks to meet Magneto. "I will be honest. I am a half demon. That being said, I am also half human. And for most of my life did not know I was demon. Everyone thought I was a mutant. I was treated that way. You could say I have some...anger issues in regards to that treatment."

Magneto has posed:
"The people fear that which they don't understand." Magneto reassures her seemingly not put off by the fact she's half demon. "What you have to realize is that they're simply ants attempting to contain a rampaging lion." He motions to the world around. "They are no more ready for you then they are me." He pauses. "And they won't be until they truly realize how much better then them we really are."
