Cast of Characters: Thor, Scarlet Witch

Thor has posed:
Thor has appeard in the library once again and is seeking the one resident he knows will actually be in here.

"Wanda. Wanda I am seeking thee!" The Asgardian man says with a booming voice echoing off the walls and the bookshelves. He carries a large decanter in one hand again as he did so much enjoy drinking with her the last time even though he wasn't getting drunk he enjoyed her company.

The god wears a pair of blue jeans again and no shoes or socks, and a simple black t-shirt. "Crimson witch, I know you're here."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda.. is actually in residence. Though, given the Rising Tide threat has been nuetralized and things are back to normal she has a lot less reason to remain in the Avenger Mansion.. well, other than monitor nights. Or the small consideration she's been giving to possibly changing her actual residdence to the mansion proper. Other than there's the small matter of.. well, there are lots of small matters and any number of them are her father.

*sigh&

Then there's the larger matter (Thor's a god, he's hardly small) of one Thor thundering about the library calling her name and demanding she answer him. Even if she'd thought about pretending not to be there (and she did think about that), the better part of valour for all involved, and the sanctity of the library, comes down to answering him.

"I am here," she calls out. "At the back. Behind.." And he's there, making it unnecessary for her to explain where she is at all. "You did bellow?" Her lips turning upon an amused grin.

Thor has posed:
"I am the son of Odin, the god of thunder. Of course I bellowed." The large blonde being says as he steps closer to Wanda and smirks before he shows off the decanter before her with his one large hand holding the glass container.

"I have come seeking compansionship and drink. Though I am sensing you wish I were not here. I shall be leaving then." Thor says slightly saddened before he turns around and with his back to Wanda and starting to retreat with his shoulders drooping.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda laughs lightly and points at the nearby, and unoccupied chair, "You are here now. Come. Sit. We drink and make company, yes? I was only thinking some thoughts. They are not so important right now. This is what friends do, yes?"

Her smile for him is welcoming, and dispels any notions she might have already created that he is not welcomed.

Thor has posed:
Thor looks over his shoulder at Wanda after she speaks softly and reasuringly. "Yes, friends, but I do not want to intrude on your meditation or alone time." Thor says with a stoic nod but he turns around and holds out the decanter again with a shrug of his shoulder. "I found this drink, but no glasses, and I know no one else here I'd rather share drinks with again. Plus you can create glasses out of nowhere. Such a feat." Thor winks before he claims the chair next to Wanda.

"I am curious about your thoughts, please, let me help if I can."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda looks beused, giving the slightest of shrugs. "I do know how to find glasses, yes." Find, she says, as though she does not merely create them out of the vastness of reality. "But we can drink from the bottle, yes? Is that not how you would do it at home? To share in a manly way?"

She fairly giggles as she says 'manly'.

The remainder of that giggle still upon her lips as she settles into something more serious. "Oh, I was only thinking of a friend. And a message I did get from my mother." She says that softly, and with a finality, as though she's tasting the words and seeing how they fit in her mouth. Friend. Mother. "They were thoughts I can visit again later. There is always time." And, indeed, when you are Wanda, there is always time for such thoughts. Even if she has to make it herself.

Thor has posed:
"You wish to share a drink in a manly way with me? You do realize this could be dangerous with me, but you do realize, so here we go." Thor says, taking his hand to the top and pulling it out with a smooth pop before he lifts the drink to his lips and bottoms up for a few brief moments, maybe a full second.

The vodka flows smoothly and yet with a hint of fire against the god's esophogus and then with a deep gasp, as he removes the bottle from against his lips and he extends it towards Wanda. "Come, be a man with me if you must. I enjoy your company be ye man or woman." The god teases with a smile. Not wanting to talk about mothers just at this moment, so he lets that pass even if that's what she wants to talk about and he did ask her, yes he's an enigma, but she's more than welcome to continue talking parents.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda takes the bottle, and gives it a long look. "I do not think I wish to be a man, but you did say I was not like other women, no? So perhaps only more equal than less."

She notes that he does not follow up on her words, even though she's not surprised by this. Nor is she truly bothered by it. He is not perhaps the best for her to discuss matters of her parentage - or at least not the unusual way she was contacted. That, and the matter was still very personal and raw. She thinks maybe she'll talk to Nolan. Or perhaps Thistle. Or maybe.. she's not sure about maybe after that. The other audiences she holds might ask questions she can not, nor does not wish to answer.

The bottle is lifted to her lips and a swallow taken. Nothing so feirce a statement as Thor's swallow, but still, it is a fair enough one. One she does not flinch from, even as the liquid burns down her throat and makes her blink at the surprise of it. "What makes you wish for company tonight?" Or, more to the point, what makes you seek out mine this eve.

Thor has posed:
"I seek your company Erikdottir because you are one Avenger who doesn't stifle a good time, and can keep up, and don't refuse me when I seeketh thee out. I respect that." Thor says, letting Wanda hold onto the bottle longer, as she was talking about her mother and her friend and how she looked when she spoke of them. They were serious. Thor does not like serious. He can be serious, but the man is always after some entertainment and enjoyment.

But he can be serious when he needs to. And when he is, it's usually bad, this is why he sought you Wanda, to be less serious, she always makes the man reflect upon himself. He's deeper when she's around.

"I desire to be carried about like a cabin wench once more." He says teasingly with a forward wink to the mutant.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
All good reasons to have sought her out. The bottle lifted in salute as she passes it back over.

"How is it that you are always with the fun, and never with the serious? Is it that gods do not believe in serious?"

She has not realized he's sought her out because of this - to sink into reflection. Still thinking he's come to be jovial. Perhaps to draw her into that dance and be.. well, she wasn't a god, but she certainly was not your average human. If she could be called truly human at all.

Then he's winking and making reference to their last meeting, and the bet. "A cabin wench? Oh, then we would need to be upon the seas, yes? Did you know, I dreamt of a ghost ship once."

Thor has posed:
"I am always with the fun because my father, and my brothers, and the whole blasted Asgard is ripe with the seriousness. It bores me to no end. Why can't life be merry and fun?" Thor asks, taking the bottle and then turning it upside down against his lips. This is the case for a couple seconds this time. Then he's passing the bottle back over. "If ye wish to have us upon the seas, I would not argue. If you wish us to remain within this hall of books. I would not argue." Thor says, the deeper meaning, she has control of the situation, and he's going to be happy with it either way.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda draws her feet up onto her chair and snugs her knees with one hand while reaching for the bottle with the other. "It is not good to be only serious or only with the fun." Her gaze drops as she says that, as she is reminded she is too often the serious herself. Wasn't that part of her mother's message? To learn to let some of that go?

She swigs from the bottle, and frowns. "Here. There. It is almost all the same. It would be hard to come back, though." That admission is soft.

Thor has posed:
"That's why you should take me. Strong balance between us." The god nods firmly as he seems to have figured it all out. "But you're right. It's good to have inner balance as well." Odinson says, looking to Wanda, curious why she's so closed off, not realizing that the position she chooses to sit in may simply be the most comfortable for the mutant.

"Coming back is always the easy part. I have trouble with the leaving part."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda takes a second swig before handing the bottle back. "You? Have trouble leaving? See, I do not believe that. I picture you always ready to go. With a bag by the door always packed for the vacation. Like you are always on the standby for the cheap tickets."

She laughs as she creates this image of vacationing Thor heading down to sunny climes at a moments notice. As though he can't merely just *be* where he wants to. Much as she herself could.

Thor has posed:
Thor stands up and moves a few feet over to stand in front of Wanda. "I do not have that kind of trouble leaving, it is when I have to leave on a more permenant basis. That's when I find I have trouble." The god admits. He extends his mighty hand down towards the smaller avenger and smiles, before he speaks his mind further. "You and me, we are going to a sunny beach. Right now." The god says this as though it were a fact that in two seconds time, they can and will be anywhere in the world that's not the library.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Now that is a surprise. Not only unexpected, but a pleasant one. One that puts a shy smile upon her lips as she stands and puts her hand in Thor's. "A beach?" She nods. "There will be umbrella drinks and cabana boys?" Ah, yes, she's read about those. "And we will pretend that here does not exist." For a time, at least. For a time.

Thor has posed:
"There will be whatever is there. It is a place I have seldom been, but it is upon you to get us there. I know you can create bridges, so ... lets walk though and boom. We're on the beach." The god of thunder says, standing tall and pulling Wanda close to him once her hand is in his.

His body is tight and firm and he smiles pointing with his free hand towards the ... nothing. They're still in the library, waiting on Wanda to make the portal to where ever.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Me?" Wanda laughs lighhtly, the sound tapering to a slight giggle. "I will be the taxi?" As though she has not merely been here, and then there, when it has been warranted, or she wished to be. Then again, she's also taken plane rides. She's a study in contradictions.

Still, her fingers tighten about his and she nods, a sudden impish light in her eyes. "You will think of the place, and I will make us be there. Yes? That way you will trust me, and I will trust you."

When he agrees, she shuts her eyes, and steps forward, taking them both to wherever it is that he is thinking.

Thor has posed:
They're suddenly on a beach, but the sky isn't quite right. The starts aren't they way they're supposed to be. None of the constellations are the way she remembers them being. Thor however, has the woman's hand in his, and they are knee deep in the ocean, or what looks like the ocean except for the golden glittering palace and vast city behind them. To their right is a bridge made of glass that stretches from the city all the way out to the horizon on the other side of the city.

"Welcome Wanda, to my home." Thor says, holding her close and tight, something he does to attempt to make her feel not only safe, but wanted and protected by the crown prince of Asgard.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda's eyes blink open as the water laps against her shins. The light has her blinking to adjust her eyes as she looks about. "Oh, this is.. it is beautiful."

Then she laughs, and palyfully turns to give his arm a soft swat. "You knew we would not be going to a beach with the umbrella drinks." She doens't sound angry, though. Far from it as she looks about. "It is beautiful. I do not understand why you would leave such a place, though." He earns a mock-serious look. "Why did you leave?"

Thor has posed:
Thor's hand finally lets go of her own so he can rub at his bare arm where she slapped him and he frowns at the spot. "Like you said many times, you can make whatever you want. So make umbrella drinks." Thor teases, knowing she doesn't use her powers all that often.

Slowly, Thor sits down in the water and it comes up to the bottom of his chest and he's enjoying the depth with a smile. "Come, sit." He pats the water and mock serious invites her with his eyes and motions. "I leave because of you. I have this longing to return to Earth every once in a while and I feel this connection with you humans."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda watches Thor sit, and, with that impish light back inn her eyes, she bends, sluicing water up and over him, laughing. "I am sorry, but it did need doing."

She anticipates retaliation, though, and does not stay nearby, instead, running parallel to the shore to escape him, knowing the whole while she's not going to get very far - that's really the whole point of the matter, really: to get caught. Or wet. Or something.

"We are amusing to you?" she asks when he catches her, or when it becomes apparent that he won't try. "I could make umbrella drinks," she admits, "but this is not the place for those. Here is.."

Wanda stops and cants her head to one side to suss out what here is. What flavour of enjoyment here would be. "I do not know. I think wine? In crystal glasses that catch the sunlight as it sets. To make the beams across the water grow longer and touch the shore. Like kisses."

Thor has posed:
Thor stands up briskly and displaces several gallons of water when he does so to chase down Wanda. The god catches up rather quickly, but his running causes wild spouts of water to splash up and catch Wanda's hair and back and face even some how before he slows down to watch her do her magic thing.

"I will drink anything you decide to hand me." Thor says and then when she mentions kisses, his hands fall to her waist and turn her to face him, with his face lowering towards her own and his hand cups at her chin to lift her face towards his and he steals a kiss from the scarlet avenger. Or tries to.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Kisses are stollen. They always have been. Time immemorial is riddled with such things. Good. Bad. Gentle. Fierce. Soft. Hard. All manner of kisses. They're their own little language peppered throughout time and space. Glinting like stars in the heavens.

So a kiss is stolen, leaving Wanda flushed and looking suddenly so much younger than any of her years, and suddenly confused. Her hands falling away even before they can conjure up wine or glasses or any such thing to share between them.

"Oh," she says, that small sound lying simply between them. Her hair now damp and curling at the ends where the water has sprayed them. Her clothes clinging to her shape in places unexpected. A hip. A shoulder. To the small of her back. Nothing of swimsuit editions or calanders. Only a moment of humanity caught and framed against a setting sun.

Thor has posed:
"W-Wanda?" Thor asks, his hands remaining at her chin and waist and yet he starts to pull back. There's a fear in his eyes. A fear that he's crossed some line with a human. Human's do not like having their lines crossed and when they're as powerful as Wanda, even gods can tremble. Even a little bit.

"Oh?" Thor asks for any kind of clarification.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Oh," Wanda repeats, still not *entirely* certain if she's imagined what happened, and if she hasn't, how she feels about it. She is.. unused to kisses of any kind, and not merely the surprise ones. But the surprise ones she most certainly does not know what it is one does with.

Books, she is reminded, would say you slap the offending male across the cheek and are either indignant and storm off, or perhaps are both indignant and kiss him back. She is not certain that she is a book, though. Or if either of those fits her.

At least she does not think she feels the need to raise a hand and slap this godling of a man.

"You kissed me," she says with soft surprise, as though he had not been there. Or as though defining the thing might make it simpler for her to know what it is she feels. Caught, as she is, in the turmoil she's been feeling for days trying to understand the myriad of emotions that have been plaguing her. Too many things she has been allowing herself leaving her more vulnnerable of late. More human. Somewhat frightened of herself.

Thor has posed:
Thor lifts both his hands up to cup Wanda's face and try and urge her to look at him as his own piercing blue eyes scan back at her own and he slowly lets go, allowing his hands to fall back down her arms until he finds her hands and holds them. "Was this a thing I should not have done, or should not have stopped?" Thor inquires bluntly to the woman in his hands.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda licks her lips, "And if I say I do not know? You would understand?"

Though, of course now that he's asked such a thing she can only wonder what more kisses would be. And further - the thing that truly confuses her - how kisses with another might be. Things she has never considered before. At least not so blatantly. With such admission that maybe such a thing might not be so bad.

It's an admission that brings scarlet to her cheeks, though she does allow, "It was allowed. I am not angry."

Leaving her suddenly aware that she is standing there in much the same place she was as when he kissed her by surprise, her green eyes meeting his with a helplessness. She is fully and completely outside her realms of experience here.

Thor has posed:
"I would not understand. A kiss tends to be a polarizing thing." Thor explains. "I have only ever liked it or disliked it. It seems entirely subjective on who the kiss was with. In my experience." He says, still holding her hands, unsure of what to do with himself, and the woman he's now here with on his home realm, and on his home beach, in his home ocean.

"I care for you greatly Wanda. I want to kiss you more and still more." The god continues to talk, weather or not he's putting his foot in his mouth is still unseen.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"A kiss," Wanda says softly. "For now it is enough?" Her hands come up to cup his face much as his cup hers. "I need to know what it is I want. Not just from you. But from me. You.. You are not the only one who stirs in my thoughts. I have so much confusion."

It's as close as she can come to explaining the many sides of herself. The things she did not expect of herself. And the fear that there is more welling up within her that would also want a voice if she allowed this tiny sound to occur.

But a kiss. Yes. That she will allow. It is a sound she thinks she can weather.
