Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Phoenix, Magneto

Phoenix has posed:
Jean has this bothersome habit of simply knowing who is or isn't about the school, a loathesome habit that some telepath seem to develop as second nature, without thinking much of it. So it was rather expected she would know that Magneto is visiting the school again, and she made sure to sent him an invitation to meet her in her office. All cordial like, no threats or anything like that. Sure, they've been rival, sure, he's been the toughest enemy she faced as a young girl just starting up a very challenging life with the X-Men. But so much happened since then, while they still likely do not see eye to eye, she can admit the man's strengths along with his flaws. She sits behind her desk, drinks are already present, and waits, as she assumes Magneto would accept her invitation. After all, it's not every time he visits she specifically asks to see him.

Magneto has posed:
The door slowly swings softly open on its own, a very familiar figure floating into the room hovering not more then a few inches off the ground as he makes his way over. He's still wearing his helmet, because of course he is, the thing rarely if ever leaves his head, it covers up the majority of his facial features leaving only the slightest hint of a smile visible from behind the metal.

His long flowing cape catches in a soft breeze of the buildings central air wafting to one side as he makes his way into the room, a quick glance given about the surroundings before he speaks in a calm tone. "I do so love what you've done with the place." His feet finally touching down onto the ground as the door closes behind him of its own volition. "Gives it a rather rustic charm if I do say so." He pauses for a moment. "Now forgive me if I sound a bit rude, but it's not every day I receive an invitation from you Jean, even with my semi regular visits to the mansion of late."

Phoenix has posed:
"Always one to make an entrance," Jean remarks with bemusement as she clasps her fingers together, she's not dressed to impress at all, in simple jeans and a white t-shirt, though it is emblazoned with a golden Phoenix emblem. Though to many people that emblem doesn't mean much beyond a cool graphic design. Not that many are in the know when it comes to ancient cosmic entities.

She gestures at the chair infront of her desk, "would you care for to sit? Or would you rather remain floating...?" It's a playful invitation to sit down, to be sure, but whatever she's been through, the woman who once was afraid of Magneto, certainly doesn't feel nearly as threatened in his presence. That, or she doesn't view him as an outright enemy anymore. He has been playing chess with the Professor rather regularly after all. "Thank you, Magneto...or can we be on first name basis by now?" She asks cautiously, not looking to injure the man's pride. "Indeed...but to be fair, it is also not every day that mutants are being kidnapped in Mutant Town so brazenly...I trust you've heard the news of these crimes? I wanted to ask if you've done any investigation...we may not see eye to eye on all matters, but I trust we still both very much care for our mutants brothers and sisters, yes?"

Magneto has posed:
"If I forgot to make an entrance no one would remember who I am." Magneto floats the rest of the way over before taking a seat, never actually touching the chair in the process, as he relaxes into place allowing him to float into a sitting position. "Magnus will work fine, I prefer not to be referred to by a name given to me by humans."

He's relaxed and in control of the situation as he kicks back in the chair, not seemingly too concerned with all the formalities one would expect a king to show. "I've done a bit of my own research into matters of course, but I find details abroad can be... difficult to archive."

Phoenix has posed:
Jean grins at Magneto's playful reply, nodding her head as she accepts his bravado. "I guess that's what makes you, you," she acknowledges. "Magnus it is, thank you for giving me the courtesy." She smirks at the reasoning he'd prefer Magnus over other names, "if it makes you feel truer to yourself, I have no qualms about calling you Magneto, it is a name made all by your own hands after all..." she motions at the drinks set on a cart to the side of the seats, should Magneto wish for any refreshment, as she waits to hear his take on the kidnapping.

"I was hoping you could offer me a hand, I've been looking into it myself, but so far haven't encountered anybody who knows anything around mutant town...I am very alarmed by these incidents, I want to stop them."

Magneto has posed:
"Of course I can offer my assistance." He pauses looking at the drinks for a moment before signaling with a gloved hand that he's fine. "I could do so in a heartbeat if so desired." Magnus' attenton drifts back to Jean. "However I was under the impression my methods were more often then not met with disapproval by your little group." Hands go down to either side of himself resting on the arms of the chair. "Of course should I get involved I have no doubt I could solve the situation by weeks end."

Phoenix has posed:
"Perfect, I was hoping to hear something along those lines," Jean admits, smiling faintly. "I didn't say eradicate anyone who looks suspicious in Mutant Town, did I? You've been known to hunt your share of Nazis after the war, correct...? I'm sure you've your means of investigations that are more subtle..." she tilts her head towards a shoulder, considering the swiftness that Magneto promises, "is that so...? What would you suggest to do, Magnus?"

Magneto has posed:
"I think you'll find I have my fair share of methods from my" He pauses chuckling under his breath before repeating. "Nazi hunting days" Obviously remembering them quite fondly all truth be told. For him they were a quite special time in his life after all, a moment of taking back control. "I haff vays of makingk them talk." Putting on a thick accent as he assures her from his comfortable sitting position.

Phoenix has posed:
Whatever has gone over Jean in that ill fated space mission, she doesn't let Magneto have a piece of her mind for the joy he obviously take in the very memory of the revenge he took. If anything, she actually seems to smile, a rather unsettled smile. It's only there for a brief second, barely even that, but it's not a typical Jean Grey response to such talk. "I would expect gentler methods in Mutant Town, not all suspects are guilty...but I trust around those parts, your reputation alone would serve as quite the incentive."

Magneto has posed:
A low sound rings out as Magnus raps his fingers against the wooden desk in silence. Slow, methodical, as he watches the subtlest of changes in Jean's features. He has a good idea what's going on as he lets a smile of his own cross his face. "Of course, I'd never dream of assuming someone was guilty without fair trial."

Phoenix has posed:
"Good, in that case, we can align on this operation, I think the message should be clear, Mutant Town is a safe zone to mutants, don't anyone dare harm our kind!" Jean is pretty assertive when talking about this subject, maybe the recent news jarred her a little too much. If Magneto was a sporting man, he might consider to alert Charles that he might need to talk to his prized graduate.
