Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Maxima, Gorilla Grodd

Maxima has posed:
Maxima is dozing as she sits on the couch, but on the landscape of the MIND, that's a different story. Her figure coasts around the misty world, a mysterious plane of mental messages, which she can all sense at once if she concentrates enough. They form a pattern of the people around her, in the office building where she is sitting. She looks like she's daydreaming as she reads people talk about an advertising deal on the second floor and people using the gym in the basement. She flies like a wispy spirit through the clouds of the MIND, searching for something useful or interesting among the boring humans.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd has been slowly hacking his way into satilites since the Rising Tide event in an attempt to find out what is needed to deploy his own. The vulnerability of the human internet makes him see tremendous opportunity, and as a side effect, he tries one of his moonshot projects. Totally ridiculous, an attempt to measure the tactile telekinisis of all earth's metahumans at once to see if there is a gene sample compatible with a biomechanical suit he has vague ideas about and sits upright in his chair when he spots a gigantic blip in North America. He is astonished at this and tries to triangulate. He gets a massive spike but also gets an immediate reading of powerful latent psionic activity of all kinds. A lot of raw power. He dons his telepathic amplifier, just in case and begins to seek it out. The idea isn't to combat, but to investigate. If he can get a sample of his or her blood, it can advance his projects considerably. He isn't really seeking her on the astral plane though she would sense a presence, dampened but powerful moving toward the position of her mind and body after teleporting about 500 yards away.

Maxima has posed:
Maxima is a wispy cloud of red, then a woman of a humanoid shape, as she replies to someone's message, slipping some words in a human's brain but she finds it boring because no one is used to communicating telepathically on this planet. She sighs. Her wispy self turns about and her senses tingle like she's in the presence of something different, "What...? Who's there...?" she extorts as Grodd draws closer and closer, "You cannot hide from Maxima," she says stubbornly, twisting her wispy self about defensively.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd could, actually, if he devoted his entire psionic focus to it with the amplifier, but...why bother? Especially since his primary purpose is to investigate her. And he prefers human females to males anyway, though right off the bat the 'taste' of her mind isn't human at all. His voice is deep, rich and sonorous as he opens his mind. "Hello. I am Grodd. I sensed you from some distance away and was intruiged to see such strength up close.

Maxima has posed:
The wispy cloud becomes a Falcon, a bird with beedy eyes, staring into the dark as she searches for Grodd, trying to sense him more closely. "You sensed me from afar?" she wonders, "Come closer human, I have met very few who can communicate with me," she tells him. Her mind is alien and quite structured, though flittered with all the thoughts a normal person would, of dreams, boring duties, warrior skills and fights.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "I am more than a telepath. I am the preiminent scientist among my kind." He considers the subtext and images, clouds, birds, someone above and beyond, the alien and structured nature of her mind tells her a few things about her society. "Are you a noble?" He can respect that of course. Definitely a martial culture. It reminds him a litlte of what he knows of Krypton. "Where do you hail from Maxima. And I am not human. I am a Gorilla. Ruler of Gorilla City." He does, however, accept her invitation to come closer."

Maxima has posed:
The Falcon becomes dissolves into a Sparrow as she becomes confident he is not any threat and flies about Grodd's head, then lands nearby and says, "You are not a human but walk among them? Oh yes, I am Princess Maxima," she tells him, "I have come to recruit the best of you. But nevermind that," she tells him, "Tell me more about this Gorilla City. What is it?"

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "I do. Most of them possess rather..." he considers a polite term but leaves his shields low enough to let it be obvious he means 'weak' "not as sophisticated a minds as ours so a simple psionic or holographic illusion works. Look at their basic fear of humans born with powers among them. You can imagine how they might react to a 'talking animal' Recruit me?" He is quite curious now, "Recruit me for....what? Gorilla City is hidden among the humans. We are uplifted and working for the betterment of the planet the humans seem determined to destroy."

Maxima has posed:
"That is so noble of you, a true scientist," Maxima concludes and then adds, "For honor, of course," she says vaguely. The Sparrow grows and morphs into a cute lil tiger, then growls and shapeshifts into a larger animal, a female mother ready to carve her way through the opposition, "Very good. So I've finally found someone who can guide me to the best of the planet. Will you help me, Scientist Grodd?" she asks him.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "I am honorable in my own way. And I am always interested in learning things." He smiles and is pleased at the offer. "Best of the planet. Oh, I might be able to do that, but as you might know from experience that can vary both by subjective opionion as well as task. The best at fighting? The best at learning? The most intelligent? The most ambitious?" He smiles, "Tell me what it is you seek...and I can help you seek it."

Maxima has posed:
The red tiger prowls about the mental landscape and morphs into a rabbit, since those are thinking animals, as her mouth squirrels back and forth as she thinks over his question, "I'm not quite sure. Whoever is worthy, I am thinking. The best people of my planet have many different talents, though they are always strong and good leaders. You understand right?" she wonders.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "Well certainly. Earth has so many governments that you can pick and choose which of their own selection works. But they all have flaws. I can certainly introduce you to some who are worthy. I have, in fact, been looking at a collection of such individuals myself, particularly those who had the leadership skills to override those who were too weak or too unwilling to do what was necessary to help the planet and all the species on it. But I can make some deep considerations and make recommendations. Tell me....is it more important to you that someone does what is right even when it is not popular, or someone who is more admired by the masses?" It's an important question and would determine how he would determine her criteria."

Maxima has posed:
The Red Rabbit jumps about and crawls along the mental landscape, then peers at Grodd closely, "Why do you ask such a question? The strongest does what is right for the others, even when they are doubted. They do it with no question," she tells him, acting like a strict teacher, though doesn't morph into one. "Tell me, who among you is the best? The best leader? I have heard many names, but I will hear your suggestions first. Or maybe you wish to think it over? Have I said too much?" she wonders.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "You'd be surprised at how strength is often not linked to nobility of character here in the slightest. Some of the physically strongest beings on this planet are, morally, quite cowardly or easily decieved by the simplest of ruses." Still, he can sense the wind when it blows. He would rather not make a pointless enemy who could be an ally. "I think it would be best to learn more of your people first, but though he would have little use for me I would say the most natural leader who fits your criteria would be Superman. He proved decisive in the defense of the planet against its most recent invasion. Lex Luthor, Batman, Namor and Magneto, and Victor Von Doom have all proven resiliant, charismatic or capable. I would, of course, count myself among that number, but due to the 100 million to one population disparity I keep my talents...hidden. For now."

Maxima has posed:
"I think it would be best to learn more about the Earth first," Maxima repeats Grodd's thoughts, as if she thought of the idea herself, "Yes, Superman. I have heard this name," she says dreamily, "I must meet him--" she adds, and trails off. "Good, I will seek each of these out after I have learned more about this planet. Thank you Scientist Grodd. Perhaps you can help me judge my candidates," she suggests, "Since you are the advisor," she says.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd nods. "He has quite the reputation. I am happy to give you my insights into each. If learning about them is what you want, you can do so by direct conversation or do what I do sometimes which is arrange a scenario and see what they do." He smiles, "As a scientist its the best way to observe. You are welcome. And I am more than happy to advise. Tell me, what world are you from?

Maxima has posed:
Maxima morphs into a stork and peers around the mental landscape as she contemplates something, showing her knowledge of animals is at least not as limited as her knowledge of humans or gorillas. "Very good," she acknowledges, "I am from a world called Almerac. It is a wonderous place of warriors and leaders."

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd is amused at the shame of a stork but keeps that amusement to himself. Mostly. "Almerac. Being from Earth, we are new to the galactic community but I look forward of learning more about it. I can see why you would come to seek out those that migh help you in whatever your quest might be."
