Date of Scene: 12 March 2018
Location: Triskelion, New York City
Synopsis: When the Panther and Widow meet...always bet on Black
Cast of Characters: Black Panther, Black Widow (Romanoff)

Black Panther has posed:
There are not that many buildings in New York City that, when one starts to track energy readings and traffic and bluepritns and such, that turn into a hint that there is more going on than meets the eye. Plus, being a public entity, it's entirely possible that the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo is plastered all over the place on the inside. So, a bit of regular research, and a bit of a decision to avoid Stark Tower and the Avengers for now, and in an effort to determine who the good guys are or not, S.H.I.E.L.D. becomes the first target on the Wakandan gather some information tour.

And so for now he sits, across the street, atop the roof and staring at the Triskellion. His suit is on, enhanced optics letting him look over the building, searchign for signs of activity and such before he picks an open window a few floors up to use as his entry.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
If there is one thing that SHIELD believes in, it's security. As soon as Black Panther touches the outside of the building, the alarms inside are triggered. Silently the security people are notified and they rush toward the floor in question with weapons in hand. The are dressed in tactical gear, right down to helmets and ballistic vests. By the time the man has gained entry into the room, they are in the hallway outside. They flatten themselves on either side of the door. At a finger count of three, two, one, they breach the door and raise their weapons, trying to spot their foe as one reaches for the lightswitch just inside the door.

Black Panther has posed:
Fortunately for him, he didn't close the window after his entry so as people breach and the door opens, he has a moment to see all the gear before he dives for the outside again, sliding out the window, nails sliding down the building as he finds a flag pole sticking off of it and he makes circle around it like a world class gymnast (clearly Romanian or Russian), and he swings towards the corner. Getting to the corner he sees the fence that leads towards the parking garage and he slides over it, onto the little side buliding that's the security shack befor ehe tumbles off and is running into the garage, well towards some of the vehicles anyway. Radio probably is able to say that there's somethign in black....but it jumped out the window which is interesting cause anyone checking down below definitely didn't see anything hit the sidewalk

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
Then men in the office never get a chance to fire. "Figure in black, jumped out the window. No one visible!" They sound a little upset by this fact, glancing at one another. That means possible meta in their minds. As well as that of the agents listening.

Natasha was actually pulling into the parking lot, not even on the radio frequency to hear what his happening. She's on her motorcycle in her Black Widow costume. Taking off her helmet, she leaves it sitting hooked on the handlebar then steps off the bike just as a figure in black goes over the fence. The man continues to run and she calls out, "Stop where you are!" as she taps the comm in her ear. Now she hears the chatter and finds out what happened.

A moment later, she's in pursuit.

Black Panther has posed:
Did you stretch? Not that Black Widow isn't such a finely tuned machine that she's going to pull a hammy by jumping into the fray but you would swear, despite the mask, that as you tell him to stop you can almost see the black metal mesh type fabric break into a grin. Not that such a thing is possible, but the mind does funny things. And then he's off, fleetly on foot as well, hopping up over the hood of one car and then sliding under one of the metal guard rails and out towards the back of the property. But you do know the grounds better. As fast as he is, it's possible you know a short cut or things to avoid to allow you to gain on the shadowy intruder.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
That she does. Natasha cuts across the parking lot at an angle that will allow her to get across and curve off a couple of seconds between them. She goes over the fence, hitting it in the center, jumping to the top and flipping off the other side to land on the ground in a roll then up on her feet and running full speed after him. She has guns but she hasnt' seen weapons. She's not going to shoot someone that is unarmed and hasn't done something that deserves it. Well, not today.

"Why do they always run?" she mutters to herself as she tries to keep up, realizing that he might be faster than her.

Black Panther has posed:
As you're chasing after him, heading towards the back of the property, which is really just a lot of open space because, even in the city, S.H.I.E.L.D tower, who wants people sneaking up on it? He turns and stops, canting his head to the side as you were close enought hat it won't take you more than a few steps to catch up and then you have to decide what you're doing next. He is indeed unarmed, though there's those hands with the claws that kind of hint at the fact you probably don't want to be cut by him. It's a pretty cool necklace the suit has. He doesn't say anything just yet, instead he seems content to wait to see what you're going to do. He got down so fast, and most of the guards are still checking the garage, that unless you've already checked in with where you are, it's going to be a bit before you get any back up.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
She actually didn't check in at all. She still had him in her sights and Natasha was confident in her ability to catch him. So she had waited. If she'd lost sight, then she would have. Or if the pursuit went too far from the building, in case other teams were in areas in his path.

As he stops, she does the same, keeping her hands at her sides. "Can we just simplify tonight please? You surrender and come with me to answer some questions without the whole resisting thing?" She's pretty sure she knows the answer to that one too.

Black Panther has posed:
"Not tonight..." comes a slightly altered voice. Just enough to make it hard to clean up or trace back to him if one were going to run it through voice recognition. The problem is, the way out is past you. See, where you're standing has behind you a very nice dumpster which leads to somethign he can use to jump over which leads to something else, aka NOT S.H.I.E.L.D. property which means he can get out and disappear into the New York night. Which means....he's running, at you. Which means...you have a choice to make.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
There is no stepping aside, no dodging. Natasha moves toward him in return, charging forward and jumping into a flying kick meant to stop him from his forward motion. She knew that would be the answer. That's always the answer. She doesn't realize he is doing it for the escape and not hte attack.

Black Panther has posed:
He continues to run and as you jump into the flying kick he rolls forward, having to stop of course as he pops up....well he doesn't have to but he turns and looks at you, and damn it, now you know for sure that it's possible for that suit to smile. His hands go to his hips and he poitns to exactly where he's going, like Babe Ruth calling his shot, before he holds up a hand and beckons you to see if you want to come forward and stop him or not. Apparently, the fact you haven't just tried to outright shoot him yet has made him a little more cocky.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
No, she hasn't shot him. Yet. Guns are a bit of overkill for this situation. But she does have those wristbands still. "I swear to God, this is not a game or a joke. Stop or you are going to regret it!"

She raises her arms and bends her hand down, aiming the wristband at the felinish figure in front of her. "Stand down."

Black Panther has posed:
You can see a small ball appear between his fingers. In a different way than Deadpool proposing to the hooker, one has to wonder exactly where he had that. But as it appears now he looks to you, and he just lets it drop before there's a big bright flash and a cloud of smoke. Of course, you're Black Widow, so bright or not, you can likely see the figure movign towards the trash can, and likely about to hop over the fence. How can you see it? Clearly? Or a bit obscured through the smoke as he lands atop the trash can, and looks back before planning to hop over the wall and lead a merry chase into New York where he will likely disappear.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
She is the Black Widow. As soon as that ball drops, she is already diving to the side in case it is an explosive. Instead it is smoke. She dashes after him immediately, not giving him much of a lead.

In fact when he stops and looks back to see if she is pursuing, she is already in midair leaping for the dumpster herself. If he intends to lose her, he has to do better than that. As she lands on the dumpster, she does take a quick kick at his head, trying to take him down right then and there.

Black Panther has posed:
Boom. Right to the head. Which probably would have hurt a lot more if he weren't in that armor. And so he does the only thing that makes sense, swinging around with the kick to level one of his own at you. No weapons though, no more smoke bombs. Nope, now he's just here to have a little fun before he hops over the wall again. He seems to have his hands in a slightly lower guard than one might expect, but he also has the back of his hands facing you, which means that he'll be doing more blocking than grabbing. Giving the extended nails on the gloves or armor suit, however, that's probably a nice thing. TO have his hands turned the other way would be a far more hostile gesture.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
Natasha manages to duck the blow but only barely. Then there is a flurry of blows exchanged between them. Kicks, hits, each able to block the other. Her costume is not lined with vibranium though so anytime he manages to get through her defenses, it is a bit more painful than what he is dealing with. Then one of his kicks makes it through and hits the side of her head, sending her sprawling atop the dumpster where she lands with a loud clang of the metal on metal.

By the time she turns back and leaps to her feet, he is already over that wall. She leaps to the top but there is no sign of the black garbed figured. Tapping her comm, there is annoyance in her tone. "He got away from me."
