Date of Scene: 15 March 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Lorna's back, and there's catching up to do.
Cast of Characters: Havok, Polaris

Havok has posed:
Found seated in the last booth, Alex has his back to the far wall and surveys the room. The glass windows are to his right, booth entry, walkway, and bar stools to his left. Fran is walking behind the bar and handing out food to various persons. Fred is behind the bar, seen through a delivery window, cooking in the kitchen. Alex has black jacket with an X embossed on the shoulder laid to his side in the booth. He's wearing his unstable molecule black long sleeved shirt and black cargo pants with combat boots on his feet. It's afternoon, so he has a shake in front of him that's half drank while he scrolls through text on his phone, scrolling up with his left thumb.

Polaris has posed:
Wandering in, Lorna's dressed down a little, though still well dressed by most standards. Soft pale green slacks in a slim cut with a creamy blouse that drapes and hangs full in the sleeves before tightening at the wrists and nude pumps. She smiles small and briefly at Havok, greeting him with a quiet "Tada. You'll never guess who decided to take back the helm back home." She murmurs and leans her hip against his table casually.

Havok has posed:
Looking up as she enters, Alex is surprised to see Lorna on this side of the world. It shows in the quizical nature of his face and then he smiles as she 'tadas'. Which quickly turns into a concerned look when she describes the events back on Genosha. "Oh damn..." he mutters. "But wait, that means you're back?" He turns his phone faced down and slides it off to the side to not be distracted and leans back in the booth to take a gander at her attire.

Polaris has posed:
"Yeah. Back to the school with me, under strict orders to visit on weekends." Lorna nods and lifts a shoulder. "It's bitter sweet, but I did miss teaching and it's considerably less stress, all things considered." She murmurs and studies Havok in turn. Looking about she tucks her hair behind her ears. "You really have settled into Mutant Town haven't you?" She asks and lets out a breath. "I confess it's a small relief not to be on the island, treated normally."

Havok has posed:
"Please, take a seat. Get comfy. Cause you're gonna tell me all about dear ole dad coming back and taking over - especially after all the crap. And you're way too skinny, you need a burger, fries, and a large shake." Alex says with a grin and then grabs his own shake to drink a bit. "But first, I'll just say, "Mutant town is a great place to hang out. And I can do a lot of good here."."

Polaris has posed:
"Am I?" Lorna asks and sits down across from Alex. "Well, I do adore catching up, though I suspect it's a lot similar than you presume it to be." She offers and shakes her head. "Pass on the food. Some coffee would be fine." She adds, sweeping her hair over her shoulder and carefully crosses her feet at the ankle under the table.

Havok has posed:
His eyes look over her frame when she passes on the food. Then he smiles and says, "I'll let it slide, this time." He's pretty sure she's not gained the weight back that she lost on the island. And of course he worries. But won't got into it. He then states, "Okay, lemmie guess - Daddy knows best and he's going to force the world to understand his point of view and take his word for it that he didn't do anything untoward. That it was somebody else."

Polaris has posed:
"Mmmn. Close too. Though, he maintains he was present to merely call out the president and demand justice, it was Mystique acting independently." Lorna looks a bit troubled, bitter. "I can't prove one way or the other-and I doubt Kurt has, for all the-" She huffs out a sigh and shakes her head. "At any rate, I did my part, but I'm still "too young" so he's resumed control with my blessing. Perhaps he will stay preoccupied with this new Luthor Corp project and out of trouble." She says that hopefully, leaning back into the booth.

Havok has posed:
A troubled look comes over Alex's face and there's a frowning slow nod. Especially when she struggles with the Kurt ordeal. He and Kurt go way back. They were really close. But now, Alex would rather not even talk to the fuzzy elf and has done a good job avoiding him. Alex offers up, "Okay.. damn. So how about we talk about something else then...." He segues away from the stressful subjects that he hoped would be relieving since they're put behind her. "Seen any good movies?"

Polaris has posed:
"Not especially." Lorna shakes her head. "I haven't...there's a lot of work to do. Catch up with my classes. getting things straightened out." She leans on the table. "What are you up to?" She asks and makes a face. "I mean, have you seen any good films?" She asks and quirks her lips to one side.

Havok has posed:
"I started watching the old Battlestar Galactica series on the Netflix. So fun. But haven't seen anything movie wise lately." Fran brings over coffee. Alex remains with his shake. He also leans forward and says, "Their coffee is so good." as he smells it and then adds, "Why, you gonna come over and watch movies with me?"

Polaris has posed:
"And leave the school twice in the same week?" Lorna clicks her tongue. "Maybe another time. Last I heard he was hanging around mutant town. I'm not sure if I'm ready to bump into him yet." She admits and picks up the coffee, taking a slow sip. "It is good!"

Havok has posed:
"Really? I heard he was back at the school..." Alex notes and then says, "We're talking about Kurt, right?" to clarify that the /he/ is the subject in question.

Polaris has posed:
"Fuck. I should hit up my sister about going Avenger then." Lorna sighs and rubs her face. She rakes her green locks back and makes a face. "Though, I mean, team loyalty and all, I can't exactly bail..." She looks at Alex and smiles a bit. "Even when I was on the island, team calls, I hop."

Havok has posed:
"Your sister?" Alex asks not knowing the details about a sister. "Wait, you have a sister?" comes the question as he's wondering who the sister would be and how is the associated with the Avengers.

Polaris has posed:
"Uh, yeah. Wanda. Goes by Scarlet Witch sometimes? I mean, we're half siblings." Lorna offers and sips on her coffee. "So...surprise." She cradles the coffee. "Must feel like a holiday, so many surprises for you."

Havok has posed:
"Oh damn. I've seen her. Easy on the eyes. And yeah. It's like a xmas miracle come to Mutant Town." Alex says with a grin and a nod. "Still, sister, half or not. That means Magneto gets around. Then again, he's really old. I'm surprised you don't have a dozen siblings."

Polaris has posed:
"I have...three siblings, one's passed, then the twins." Lorna shrugs. "I'm sure he's taken other lovers, just-we're his only children. Though, I think my mother was the only affair. The others I think he stayed with for a time." She shrugs. "And yet I got his power and am his heir. I wonder that the twins didn't." she admits before kicking at Havok lightly under the table. "I like to think he isn't that...you know. He can't get around that much."

Havok has posed:
Laughing, he's kicked and Alex says, "That you know about... But yeah, you may be right. He's pretty old. His hip is probably about to go out - especially when doing the ole bump and grind."

Polaris has posed:
"Oh my god, please stop. I don't even want to consider-just no." Lorna shakes her head and sets her coffee down to be properly disturbed. "He's still hard to take down, I would hesitate to ever imply he's a frail man, despite his age. We're just...long lived. By all indications I'll be the same."

Havok has posed:
"Well, your mom took him down. So he can't be that difficult." Alex says with a laugh and a leaning back dodge just in case. He grabs his shake along the way so it can't be used as a weapon.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna narrows her eyes. "I will cut you." She announces flatly and shakes her head. "You are such a terror. I wholly regret coming to say hello." She informs him and sits back, crossing her arms under her chest. "That's so gross. I can't even remember her and you're taking shots at the woman."

Havok has posed:
Alex stiffles his chuckle and refrains from saying what he was thinking. Instead he says, "Oh you know you're always glad to see me. Even if I do tease you. We've got this love-hate relationship. You love to hate me at a distance."

Polaris has posed:
"Is that what this is?" Lorna asks and looks at him. There's a crinkle of her eyes, amused briefly. "I don't usually hate you, but it might be a new policy if teasing about my parents becomes an on going past time." She wrinkles her nose and picks her mug back up. Not that it makes him safe from any threats of stabbing.

Havok has posed:
Alex offers a segue, "So you've not missed much around here. Except for a few political issues, a few people going missing, the ocassional drama back at the school, the various fights around here. Oh, Ali and I took down a giant goat man a few days back. Here in mutant town at that. Then there's the random nonsense that goes on between the various gangs. You'd think that mutants would be all united against a common foe. But no, they have to cluster around and have in-fighting."

Polaris has posed:
"A giant goat man?" Lorna's brows arch and she shakes her head. "It's a pity there's in-fighting stateside. They need a community leader who is willing to be vocal." She suggests with a pointed look. "I mean. The kids run all over your brother, and he's okay with that it seems but out here? Do they have a strong voice in Mutant Town?" She asks curiously.

Havok has posed:
"Not really... and yeah. You're right about the kids at Xavier's now. Bunch of nitwits that don't ... " he stops himself and corrects, "We've had this conversation. But no, there's no real leadership in Mutant Town. If there were, it would be seen as a threat toward uprising against the /man/. We really don't want to rally the mutants against a /common threat/ or /goal/. The humans would translate that to /danger/.

Polaris has posed:
"That's irritating." Lorna huffs and looks around the diner idly. She drops her chin and her hair falls about her face. "I feel for Scott. It's hard now. Makes you sort of miss the old days doesn't it? Granted, I can't recall the last time you or I ended up locked up or in some crazy-well, ok, you went through some stuff, but it's been quiet for me since he made me his heir publicly."

Havok has posed:
"Nobody is going to mess with you ever again. Heck, I'm surprised..." then he trails off, editing out what he was going to say with, "You're right though. I can't recall the last time we were abducted or used as pawns. Being second stringers, we were always the targets for the low-life criminal B team trying to make the A list."

Polaris has posed:
"Mmmn, we can hope that no one messes with me." Lorna shakes her head and eyes Alex with a dry smile. "Avoiding talking about Kurt?" She asks and looks out the window. "He made his choices, for better or ill. You don't have to spare my feelings. He did that damage himself Alex." She trails off and watches a few cars pass. "Though I thank you."

Havok has posed:
"There was a whole lot of jackassery going on between Madi and myself. A whole lot of drama that she caused cause.. well she was evil and then there was all that demon crap. So yeah. I know where you're coming from when it comes to affairs of the heart. But to be honest, the best thing you can do is put it all behind you. Part of the learning process and we become someone new."

Polaris has posed:
"I'm trying. It's just-it could have been a good thing. I wish he'd have said he couldn't handle Genosha and all that from the start." Lorna sighs and looks down as her phone buzzes. "We've survived worse. If you can bounce back...I can too." She tells Alex. "I should get out, need to train before class tomorrow." Already sliding out of the booth she opens her wallet to leave a five for the coffee. "Thanks for the talk, Summers. We should do it again sometime." The green haired woman winks and makes sure her outfit is tidy before leaving him to his melty shake.

Havok has posed:
"Have a great day, Lorna." Notes Alex as she departs and does her thing of green hair and shake that makes him want to order fries.
