Date of Scene: 22 March 2018
Location: Knowhere
Synopsis: Yondu stops by, looking for Star-Lord, but meets a new crew member instead.
Cast of Characters: Yondu Udonta, Adam Warlock

Yondu Udonta has posed:
This wasn't even a little subtle. There were about eight missed calls over the course of the prior week. Each getting more irritable. Then three days of nothing. And now today, the exterior camera of the Milano gives a full visual of the arrangement outside.

It is a group of eight, spread out in a loose fan around the clear Captain in the center. Relaxed, strolling in a small circle under where he knows the exterior camera is, Yondu finishes rounding his wandering little path, and tilts his head just a hair, red eyes staring up to the lens pointedly. He picks his teeth slowly, waiting, a smile on his lips. The crew around him smirk at each other and shift their weight, a few of them hooking palms onto their guns, though no weapons are drawn.

This is very polite and patient, really; Yondu's not yet gone to 'warning shot', yet.

Adam Warlock has posed:
Adam was meditating on the Milano when Yondu Udonta and a few of his Ravagers showed up to give them the warmest (not) welcome there is. Adam turned those red eyes to the camera to see the welcoming committee and thus did the robed Avatar of Life stand up and summon his staff to his hand. Though calmly, he realized that he may need to defend himself as the landing to the Milano opened and Adam Warlock walked down it, looking at all who gathered there.

"Greetings. May I ask why you have come?" he tilts his head then. He knows 'of' Yondu Udonta and knows that he's blue with a red fin on his head. But that could be -any- centaurian. So he offers a small smile as he doesn't seem to show fear.

It's like he was greeting the new neighbors or something.

Yondu Udonta has posed:
"Yep, you absolutely /may/," Yondu grants smoothly, which makes one of the thugs giggle. Yondu ignores him and approaches to about half of the distance, thumbs hooking into belt, spreading his coat open naturally. It isn't an aggressive move but some of the crew seem to think it might be, and straighten up a bit. "Just looking f' the wayward Captain Quill," Yondu calls smoothly, amiable in tone. "I thought I'd met most've his crew. You're new, huh?" A tilt of head. "He dint tell you about Yondu?" A glance back at the crew, as if seeking backup on how disappointing that fact is. "If he's in there, I expect his skinny Terran butt to come out 'ere proper," Yondu clarifies, still cheery.

Such cheery neighbors, all!

Adam Warlock has posed:
Adam Warlock pays no mind to the thugs giggling...mainly because he has no idea why they laugh. He's still learning a great many things about life. That said, his eyes lock onto Yondu's as the Golden Sorcerer stands casually, but with clear discipline in his curiosity. "Ah...I see. Peter Quill, who prefers to be called Star Lord, is not here. I believe you can find him in one of the pubs on this station." he informs Yondu, which was the truth. Gamora, Groot, Rocket, and Drax went with him.

"Oh! You're Yondu Udonta? Yes, he speaks about you a great deal. I like to hear his stories." he smiles then.

Yondu Udonta has posed:
"Sure, sure, 'Star-Lord'," Yondu chuckles, but it isn't mean-spirited, aside from that none of Yondu's grins are particularly nice. That's just his face, perhaps. "The pubs, huh? Pah. No surprise," Yondu laughs, and spins cleanly on booted heel to the crew.

His orders are clipped and direct. "Eighteen hours, shore leave. Git." The crew doesn't need to be told twice, there's a hoot of pleasure, some brief chatter amongst them and they scatter, except for one, who amusedly smirks at the whole of it. Yondu stretches and turns back to Adam.

"Rocket and Twig're all gone, just you, eh? Lose a bet?" Yondu's picked up the apparent emotional range of the guy he's speaking to, though, and quickly adapts, "Just joshin' you. What's yer name, then, new guy?" Yondu asks, approaching the rest of the distance, relaxed.

Adam Warlock has posed:
Adam smiles softly then to Yondu recalling everything he just said with that same 'nice' expression on his face. Regardless of such, he nods once more as the Ravager captain repeats that Quill went off to the pubs with the rest of the gang. But he remains silent as he issues his orders, but tilts his head only faintly at the one who remains for only a little bit longer, which doesn't bother Warlock.

Oh! he's being spoken to. Right then. His eyes fall on Yondu when he's asked if he's lost a bet, and he shakes his head. "I am not much of one to drink such substances, but they are rather interesting to be around, I think." he admits with that same happy go lucky smile.

"Ah, It was as people call a 'joke'. I see. My name is Adam Warlock. It's a pleasure to finally meet your acquaintace, Yondu Udonta." he says with a kind smile. He's never met a Centaurian before!

Yondu Udonta has posed:
Yondu gives Adam a sort of measuring, puzzled little stare. Peter does pick up some interesting sorts. "Pah! Yeah, a joke. You are gonna learn ALL about all manner o' jokes, I'm sure, real soon, wi' that crew," Yondu says with a scrub of fingers over his short grizzled beard on his chin, slowly shaking his head. And perhaps deciding what to make of the jokeless Warlock. He didn't offer a handshake, since he wasn't shown one, and that's not a common greeting anyway. Weird Terrans.

The single crewmember who stayed still didn't leave, but hangs out, as if this is a normal thing. Others were dismissed, but he isn't leaving Yondu alone, and hasn't been ordered off, either.

Yondu moves in a bit, as if to ask something more in confidence. "Y'don't think ol' Star-Lord's duckin' me, do yer?" Yondu asks, sensing he may get a very honest answer from this interesting fellow.

Adam Warlock has posed:
Adam smiles softly then to Yondu, offering a small chuckle of his own. "Yes, I too believe I will learn a great many things, for better or for worse, with this group of skilled individuals. Despite how carefree many of them seem to be." he says then with a kindness. He's only starting to learn the handshake. Most times it's bows of the head or smiles that make greetings for him, but it's an ew thing for him!

Though he doesn't shy away from Yondu as the Centaurian Ravager approaches him to speak something a little more meant for certain ears only. He humms a moment in thought before he answers. "Not to my knowledge? Why, does he normally?" he asks then. "Normally he speaks rather fondly of you."

Yondu Udonta has posed:
"O'Course not!" Yondu says, with a laugh, automatically starting to companionably move an arm, but censors himself and instead crosses his arms. "Fond, eh? Boy's damn full of sentiments," Yondu says with a spit onto the ground as if spitting away a bad word, but his smile suggests entirely the opposite opinion of it. "I'll come back," Yondu declares. "Be sure he knows he better bein' rollin' out that fondness for me next time in /person/, eh?" Yondu asks. "I mean, I come bearin /gifts/."

Yondu rubs his chin again, and starts to turn away. "Seeya 'round, Warlock."
