Location: Xavier's School, Westchester, New York
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Erddrache, Emma Frost, Speed, Hellion

Erddrache has posed:
It was afternoon at Xaviers - lunch in the main hall had been served, and some students were able roam the school grounds as it was downtime. Or for college student leave the ground all togeather, as students were able to come and go long as they had their ideas.
And it was here outside were Boris was. The young mutant still had very little control over his tremors, it as easy enough to find the dwarf like mutant - just follow the earthquakes! Of which, Boris was just outside the gates, sitting next to a large boulder that looks like it had chunks ripped out of it like it was clay. He was sitting with a sketch book, occasionly drawing something down. Still nervous about the place (and shy to boot), he taken to....keeping his distance for the most part when it came to people. But none the less he keeps a look out for others.

Emma Frost has posed:
Spring might be peeking its hopeful head about today, but Emma Frost still wears a winter coat - white ermine, with a collar that is flecked with black, the starkness a standout against her skin and evoking thoughts of Cruella DeVille. Her pace about the grounds at Xavier's is casual, after all, she's familiarizing herself with them, as well as spending some moments with Julian. Their pace taking them near the gate.

"I trust things are settled with closing your student account at the Academy, Julian?" She pauses, ostensibly to regard the young man, but it's also true that she's contemplating the dwarfling and his sketchbook.

Speed has posed:
Since coming to Xavier's in the fall, Tommy aka Speed had begun turning his life around, he wasn't quite the delinquent he used to be. Okay, fine, he might occasionally steal, and he definitely went clubbing on the fake ID in his wallet, but otherwise he was trying to follow the straight and narrow. They did him a solid, letting his juvie ass into a fancy place like this, he wasn't going to burn them for that.

The shaking of the ground tells him the new kid's close-by, so, Tommy puts his best foot forward and goes to say hello, sighing at the prospect. Earth guys, always so slow.

"Hey, Tremors, whatcha drawing?" he asks as his hello.

Hellion has posed:
Julian was walking alongside Emma, keeping pace with the lady in white. The boy in black and red sighed somewhat at his mentor's question. "Yes Miss Frost. Sucks though, but I guess I can get myself into enough trouble at this place." He was a spitfire, earning every bit of his nickname.

Julian himself had a history, and plenty of fake IDs. "This place, just seems so...wholesome. Like they put xanax in the water or something." An obvious overstatement, but chalk it up to teenage cynicism.

Erddrache has posed:
Boris seems to freeze when he feels Emma eyes upon him - and than suddenly having Speed there asking about his sketchbook. If it wasn't for the fact he was a registered student and has met with some peers - most people would confuse Boris for a full grown adult. Hairy, full beard, baritone voice, the whole shabang.
"Errmm...ummm..." the ground was already begining to heave with more force "Mah name be Boris...nit Tremors." he says before glancing at his book, debating weather or not to show it. Wanting to put his best foot forward, he finally opens it showing a drawing of what looks like an underground lair "Ah be werkin on vis sketch. Be wantin ta build et. Nit normally vat ah werk on, bit different kin be good" comes his thick german accent.. His fur covered tendril like whiskers quiver as his ears twitch. He opens his mouth and than closes it, as if nervous to ask what Xanax is.

Emma Frost has posed:
The conversation between Boris and Tommy is given casual regard - or seemingly so. Emma not known to be one to give her entire game away so easily as to stare. There's a faint hint of a smile at Julian's words.

"I doubt they use Xanax, Julian. And Ms. Frost, if you please, now that I'm to be teaching." Miss suggested she was not only young, but approachable. And while she certainly was one of those, Emma was hardly your usual teacher, and she intended upon keeping it that way.

"As I've said before, unfortunate circumstances and all. Rest assured, we'll see your education is completed. The where of the thing is hardly the most significant factor. Besides, I dare say it might do you good to mingle with some of the students here. However, there's still the small matter of formally enrolling you."

She waves a negligent hand, as if to say it's a trifling matter and he shouldn't worry himself over it.

Speed has posed:
Speed was another one who's age was hard to pin down. He looked young enough, but his hair was white as snow, the slim speedster is dressed in a Xavier's jacket, and jeans. He crosses his arms, "Sure, Tremors," yep, someone has gotten a new nickname. "And whoa," he says as the ground bucks under his feet. "We should set you up as a bouncy castle and sell tickets," he remarks, before throwing a look at the lair plans. "Cool," he says absently, eyes travelling to Emma and Julian. There's a moment of, sizing up when it comes to the latter, and just the tiniest bit of a blink at the former. He'd gotten the email, but the pic they sent around did not do her justice.

"Actually it's just generic Clonazepam, Xanax was getting too expensive," he quips.

Hellion has posed:
"Ms. Frost." He responds, no sarcasm or vitriol, he respected Emma enough to keep things as she wanted. A quick burst of laughter at Tommy's quip and a smile. "I thought I could taste the brand name difference." He offers, sizing up the speedster quickly, he was not the kind to back down, but not opposed to having fun. "Julian Keller." He states, offering his hand in greeting. "About to be new kid it seems." Boris, for now gets a greeting nod, seen, and not forgotten.

Erddrache has posed:
Boris frowns "Et NIT Tremors" he repeats again firmly - and the ground itself for the moment seems to suddenly stop it quakeing as if following suit with his firmness....but it begins back up again....mostly at the comment about him making for a bouncy house. He takes a piece of boulder and eats it - which now explains why it looked so weird.

He than looks to Julian Emma. One was a teacher, the other a student. He says in a quiet greeting "Hello Mr.Keller...und Ms.Proffesor Frost." he may have been raised a bit in an old fashion way judging by his greeting. But none the less he closes his sketch book and stands up, mindful of where he was so he doesn't accidently spike someone with one of his bone blades.

Speed has posed:
The standard alpha male monkey dance performed, Speed shakes the offered hand, "Tommy Shepherd, people call me Speed," he says with a grin. "And I was a fresh fish back in October, they're pretty good to the new people here," he gives a nod in Boris' direction, "Take Tremors here, back in my old school people would be playing sketchbook keep away, right now," he says before grinning, "So I guess those generics work as good as the original, despite the taste."

A further nod to Boris, "This is Tremors, he keeps saying his name is Boris, but don't listen to him."

Then he turns to Professor Frost. "Professor, good to meet you, I am in your Business Admin class this semester, looking forward to it," he says putting on the sort of charm bad kids put on for parents and teacher when they want to fly under the radar. He's not bad, but its not likely to fool anyone here.

Emma Frost has posed:
With the ground shaking, and its frequency and power increasing as Tommy twits Boris, Emma gives the young man a stern look, making her displeasure known. "I believe that is enough, young man. Your name?" Her gaze falling directly upon Tommy, and asking even though he's just introduced himself to Julian. The message is pointed.

She might be secretly amused by his joke about 'generic Clonazepam', however, the dwarven one is set to disturb the nearby sidewalks and crack them at this rate, or worse, and as the adult on the scene...

"As for you, Boris, was it? Has nobody seen to helping you get that under control?" She ignores the rock eating. In the scope of mutant, it's hardly a blip. Weird, and likely to set him apart more fully than once such as herself, but hardly the most unusual of mutantkind one might run into. "Ms. Frost will do. I'm hardly a professor."

Her conversation with Julian set aside for the moment.

Hellion has posed:
The telekinetic gives a hearty chuckle. "I figured as much, people around here seem more likely to give a stern talking to instead of any real action."

The quaking is enough to get Julian to smirk, after fighting himself. He would be lying if he said things didn't go flying or smashed when he was angry, which is why he stays quiet.

Erddrache has posed:
Boris goes from annoyed...to angry. The tremors reflecting his emotion state as yes - the sidewalks do indeed begin to crack and slabs of earth were begining to rise from the siesmic activity. Even his bone blades on his back stand on end - but it all a result of his anger, just a quiet pulsing anger like a volcano getting ready to blow his top. "If vey wanted vere bones broken, sure!!!" he says with gritte teeth, his fist clenched up.
At his old school...he was often targeted for bullying due to how nervous and cautios he seemed - untill said bullies realized Boris fights back. But when Emma speaks to him - Boris emotions changed from volcanic to....embarressed and the seicmic activity dwindles significantly, the tremors as unstable as his emotions "Yes. Boris Breithbarth" he says "Ermm...ah hauf started classes...bit only been hre aboot a week" hardly enough time to learn control. "Nit vat nit been tryin...jist havink vee troublez still Ms.Frost" he taste the word, it seemed alien to speak like that. He glances to Julian who seemed to hit it off well with Speed - but at least Julian seemed a nice enough person at the moment.

Speed has posed:
Tommy is pulled up short by the sudden faculty notice. "Tommy Shepherd, Profes-Ms. Frost," he says almost but not quite coming to attention and adjusting his addressing her on the fly. When your last school was mutant juvie, you tend to pick up odd habits.

Boris' bone blades were a neat trick and a silver-white brow is raised to Julian at that, like, wow, what the hell? As for Boris himself, Tommy grits his teeth, and says, "I was joking, didn't know those were mood tremors," and he was right, Boris was new, he had no idea what counted as normal for the guy.

Emma Frost has posed:
Tommy is regarded with a coldly lifted brow until he not only introduces himself, but engages her by her proper and preferred title. "I see. Tommy." And when the boy makes nice with Boris all on his own, she offers him a sliver of a smile. "Now, that wasn't so hard, was it?" As though her small interchange with him had been a much larger, and more admonishing conversation.

Boris gets calm regard after that. "A week. I see." She makes a mental note of the boy's name, intending on checking up on him later. "Troubles are to be expected, Boris. That's why you're here. However, make certain you speak to someone about getting that under better control before you disturb the neighbours." Or, you know, the foundations of local buildings, the underpinings of the roadworks, sidewalks.. all things that don't do well with a walking earthquake nearby.

Lastly, she nods to Julian. "We'll continue this conversation later." Then adresses all three, "I'll leave you boys to enjoy yourselves without prying eyes." Her tones carrying a wealth of weight of, 'don't make me regret this'. And so saying, she withdraws.

Hellion has posed:
Tommy's look is reciprocated, not half bad it seems. Though Hellion is quite happy with his own gift.

Julian nods as Emma makes her leave. "Alright."

Hellion turns his head towards the others. "So, what goes on around here anyway? Please tell me I didn't just move to the most boring town on the east coast."

Erddrache has posed:
Boris eyes Speed "....vat iz horrible way ta joke, ven sie nit even know person" he says. He crosses his arms....he may or may not be as stubborn as his stature suggests. He glances around - being a walking earthquake does suck. He has toppled a....few structures "....wish vey were nit" would make them SO much easier to deal with
He turns to look at Julian "Ermmm...nit sure. Truth be telt laddie...spent most of vee past year moar or less hidden away. Und before vat, was nit even in america! So ah know zip aboot vis place" he decides not to mention getting caught shoot out. His pa would freak, his teacher might scold him, and he rather not send the wrong message. Sides that was new york city.

Speed has posed:
Complications aside, yeah, Tommy would rather be a speedster than have bone spikes, still, not bad for the new kid.

"Goodbye, Ms. Frost," he says and then gives a nod to Julian. "So, scale of one to ten, how bad did I f' up just now?" he asks.

As for Boris, he gets a nod, "Yeah, and super sorry about that," he says, "Though seriously, need to lighten up some if you want to cut it here. Or y'know, have a school still standing when you graduate." Yeah, Tommy is all heart.

Back to Julian, "Salem Center? Probably pretty close, but a bunch of us hit the city on the weekends and that's alright. You should come." A glance to Boris, "Both of you, no way they card you with that beard."

Erddrache has posed:
Boris cants his head "Vat is this Salem center?" he wonders. Though when Speed mentioned being carded he knits his brows togeather "....Why vould vey need ta card us? Ah kin jist try und see Pa will come along und et vill be fine" he forwards his brow "Vough, hafta be cautions how much - worried ah will take a house doon." Yea - german drinking laws are alot more lax as Boris has been drinking since he was 14, and the naviety of how things work in america was apparant.
He considers Tomies statement. It true...Boris is a bit high strung, for one reason or another. Perhaps he should lighten up? He wasn't sure...but perhaps to show he has no hard feeling, he glances to the rock he was eating "...well...wif mah diet....lightening up could be a bit difficult"

Speed has posed:
"Salem Center is the town we're in," Tommy supplies, before frowning and trying to decipher Boris' speech. "Oh, right, Europe's way cooler about drinking than here, here you've got to be 21," he explains. "Lame, I know."

The joke actually earns a smile, "Alright, not bad, new guy," he says with a nod. "And you really eat those things?" he asks. Really not the weirdest thing he'd seen. "Do they taste any good?" he asks.

Erddrache has posed:
Boris exclaims "Twenty-wan!" and the ground just heaves to the left. "....vat vee hell iz wrong wit american laws? Vat do dey zink we are? Weens?" he asks at the reval of this most heinous law. Sure german laws were more aimed at teaching responsible drinking...but it was drinking no less.
He looks around "...oh. Vough et were calldt Westchuster." he admits. He looks at the rock "...aye, ah do. Alot of vings changed, ven all dis happened." he sighs "....including developin an alergy ta many kinds of vegetables. Nevar vough ah would miss a salid" he laments. He cracks a smile smile through his beard"...but aye, vey taste good. Bornite iz a particular favoite...bit granite, shale, und well dirt is more common. Taste buds oot of wack...so vat do sie do anyways?"

Speed has posed:
"Right?" Tommy says, "You can join the army at eighteen, but want a drink? Sorry soldier, come back in three years? Fucked up. It's because all those Puritans founded this place and I guess however many years on, we can't be giving kids devil water."

The stuff about the rocks gets a nod. "Wanna see a neat rock trick?" he asks. "Actually, first, you're not like family with rocks or whatever, right?"

Erddrache has posed:
Boris grumbles something in german. Likely something about how insane these laws are. Can kill folks, but can't drink. Can we talk priorities here? But none the less nods o Tommy "Let's see....und no. Et would be purdy messd up ta be eatin mah own family" he says with a chuckle.

Speed has posed:
"Huh, I guess," Tommy says with a tilt of his head before ducking down and picking up a rock about the size of his palm. He closes his fist around it as his hand begins to blur, once his fist is closed so does the rock until like a quarterback in that sport the Americans call football, he hurls the rock high into the sky.

"Three...two...one..."Tommy counts, smirking.

BOOM!

The rock explodes into dust raining down on the empty lawn.

"And that's my rock trick," he says.

Erddrache has posed:
Boris eyes widen just at seeing how fast the fist was moving. He clearly never seen anything like that. Okay he has - but still, seeing what other mutants do do is interesting!

His eyes turn to the rock in the sky and watches intently as Tommy counts down. And than the rocky fireworks.

Boris raises his arms excitedly, the ground again picking up power "WOOT! Now vat iz WAAAAAY bettar ven eatin them!" he exclaims

Speed has posed:
Tommy grins, "Right?" he says.

Then from the direction of the school he hears someone shout "Shepherd!"

He flinches, "Crap. Forgot they said not to do that on the grounds," he says. "Gotta go, B," he offers him a fistbump. "But chat later, and if they ask, you didn't see me," Tommy says getting ready to make a hasty retreat.

Erddrache has posed:
Boris glances up "Oh...well vat nit good. Well good luck wif vat" he raises his own massive mit as if he was going to give a fistbump back. But than eyes the bone blades on his arms.....and slowly puts his hand back down...opting instead to wave. He hope it didn't come off stand-offish - but last time he gave a fist bump to someone....let just say it was the worlds bloodiest fist bump "See yer"

Speed has posed:
Tommy doesn't seem to mind the wave over the fistbump. He nods, then, in a blur the same colours as his clothes he's gone zooming across the campus.
