Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Black Cat

Emma Frost has posed:
Sunday, banks are closed, but certain individuals with powerful means of ingress or vast ammounts of money tend to get into where they want without much issue.

Emma has used her mighty influence to have a banker come in while she accesses the building under the guise of doing some business that would be lucrative enough for them to have one guy come in. Plus she's Emma Frost. She owns tbe building across the street so there's little risk of her doing something shadey.

The White Queen does however hope that the lights being on inside on a Sunday might draw out some of the more observant and skilled detectives out in the city.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia Hardy is not exactly a detective. But, she's curious as only cats can be. Felicia was out shopping, a fun way for her to spend a Sunday. But seein the lights on and activity in a bank, that just makes the Black Cat so much more curious. So, Felicia goes over to the bank to investigate, rying to see what's going on inside without resorting to her usual method of breaing in. Although, that could be a fun way to spend a SUnday, also...

Emma Frost has posed:
"Yeah, so I heard about that break in a few nights ago..." Emma asks, making small talk with the banker, his mind quickly going to the afternoon the incident occured, he happened to be there, so Emma's easily reading this man's thoughts. She moves after him towards one of the bank's chairs and gently sits down while talking over the idea of a business loan.

Not something she needs, but it was the method she used to get inside the building. Emma is busy scanning mentally for a security guard, or something! Someone that could help figure out what that fourth crook did, and maybe how he did it. What did he take?

Black Cat has posed:
Outside the bank, Felicia is listening to what she can of the conversation inside. A bank robbery? Her interest in piqued further. Looking through the windows, Felicia examines the security set-up, casing the bank in her mind, as it were. Points of ingress and egress. Cameras and alarm systems. Details that a master theif would know, all flowing though her mind as she examines the puzzle. THoughts that could easily be scanned by a telepath. While her thoughts prove Felicia had no involvement int he robbery, they also show that the woman is hghgly versed in the arts neccessary to break into a bank. Or maybe even a SHIELD building.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma's silver painted lips smile as she catches the thoughts of someone who actually knows what they're doing. This isn't what she expected to happen, but this is most fortunate. Felicia she says to herself before standing up and reaching into her clutch to pull out her phone.

"Sorry Brian, I'll have to take this. I'll be back in a bit." The White Queen says with a kind smile and a wink of her ice blue eye as she gets up from the desk.

With the phone up against her ear, Emma steps outside and quickly locates Felicia, with the phone still up to her ear, Emma tries to communicate.

Careful to not make eye contact, Emma keeps her back towards the girl as if she might be a contact for the white haired woman's alter ego.

"Black Cat?" Frost asks in a deep toned whisper.

Black Cat has posed:
The use of her costume name while *out* of costume gives Felicia quite a shock. And raises her suspicions into the red zone. But, still the consumate professional, Felicia doesn't react much. Instead, she turns and idly picks up a newspaper to pretend to read. "How the Hell do you know that name?" she quietly hisses. "And who are you?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"I can read minds." Emma says with a deadpan voice before laughing, "No, I'm familiar with your work and I've had associates recommend your particular talents." It's a lie, but if she has to she'll dig into Felicia's mind to pull out a person she's worked with before and use that name as a false associate.

"I'd rather leave names out of it. I'm sure you can understand that." The telepath says and grins with her face still turned away and hidden by her blonde hair. "Or, if you must, call me the White Queen." She didn't know what other name to use.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia stares at the woman, and not in a kindly or awestruck way. She's not quite sure she believes the part about 'being recommended by past associates', but stranger things have happened in the world of the 1%. "Okay," Felicia says, deciding to play along for now. "What's the deal here? I didn't have anything to do with the robbery here; it's not my style. Too high profile and not enough value to the risk. UNless there's something specific to go after. And I'm going to guess you had something specific here that would cause someone to want to break in." It's not a question, just a statement of a theory. "So, what do you want me to do? I steal from the greedy rich and give to myself. Looks like all the stealing has already been done here."

Emma Frost has posed:
Taking her phone from her ear, and leveling it down before her chest and typing away at the calculator. Turning the screen towards Felicia, but careful to not look at her face or show the thief her own face. "I'm willing to give you this much if you find out /what/ was stolen. If you learn more information than that, I will gladdly increase the price." Emma says bringing her phone back and awaiting Felicia's answer.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia looks at the ammount, and nods. "It's a start," she says. Her mind is non-plussed as her reply is. It's easy to garner that this is a woman who has no need of money, both from her casual thoughts and from the fact that despite the difference in style, her clothing is about as expensive as Emma's. "Let's go in and start investigating."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Here's the thing. I have a theory it was the safe deposit boxes that were hit. And this is an open investigation. I'm going to go back inside and complete my business loan. Feel free to take your time to figure it out and get back to me. Black Cat." Emma says, lifting her phone back to ear and walking back into the door, leaving Felicia to her own means but she stops and reaches back into her clutch.

Extending her hand out to Felicia, "Here, this is also a communicator." Emma says, extending her bottle of silver lip paint towards the theif. She will likely figure out it's not a communicator, but Emma has time to find another way to communicate with Felicia legitimately.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia looks at the bottle, then back at Emma. "Don't cross me here, lady," she warns. "If you know me, then you know how much bad luck comes your way from crossing a Black Cat." She pockets the 'communicator', and walks away. Felicia is sure her employer can do some basic footwork; Felicia needs to prepare for later tonight, to get to the real investigation.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Don't you forget the Queen is the most powerful piece on the board." Emma says, with a peek from behind her golden locks before slipping into the bank once more.
