A Visit to Mutant Town
Date of Scene: 14 April 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Phoenix, Crusader

Phoenix has posed:
Jean has taken some time to visit Mutant Town, having had the chance to visit more frequently with the investigation of mutant kidnappings, she's decided it was important to keep the wider perspective, and actually go see the place for what it is. She is currently standing outside St. Margaret's Church, looking at the building intently.

Crusader has posed:
Finally back on earth after several days away, Bjorn has decided to go see how the neighborhood was doing..mostly because he liked the underground fighting rings and the fact it was but a few streets over from his store. As he came forward, he sees none other than Jean in front of the church and he gives pause. This is the second person has met standing outside this church, stareing at it so intently no less. And so the giant hulk of an old man walks over quite casually rubbing his beard as he says "Bjorn wonder...got a demon in you?"

Phoenix has posed:
Just about the last question Jean expected to hear today is the one that was just asked. While it may seem a bit on the unlikely, if not outright ridiculous side, she actually has to take pause and wonder about it for a moment. Does she have a demon in her? Could it ever be dismissed as something bound by such terms?

She smiles faintly at Bjorn, before shaking her head ever so lightly, "do people often answer that one in the positive?" She expects not so much.

Crusader has posed:
Bjorn gives pause and runs his hand through his beard "Sometimes vey do. Some folks like dere demons...some not so much." he says. He looks up to the building "Bit...yer reminded Bjorn of mutant he met back few weeks ago. She has a demon or a ghost or somethin in her" he says. "She stared at this building as intently as yer are jist now"

Phoenix has posed:
"Is that so...? When was the last someone said they had a demon in them? Was it in this city?" Jean asks with a clear level of fascination, as one might expect, it was as far as one could get from the mundane to be sure. "Oh, I was only reflecting," Jean explains, before turning to face Bjorn completely, "who was that mutant? Did you get a name?"

Crusader has posed:
"About....a month or two ago. Und yes, et was in this city" he says as he recalls the memories. Bjorn looks up at the building "Et is weird world. Often wonder whit else we be missing. Whit where you doing the reflecting on?" Bjorn wonders curiously.
But than at the question...Bjorn hesitates "Bjorn...think they wanted to keep it under wraps. They would not have told Bjorn much...but Bjorn related to them, so trust Bjorn they did. Understood in a sense whit it is like" he says. He looks over Jean unsure on weather or not to give a name "But yes...Bjorn gave name...but who are sie?"

Phoenix has posed:
"New York City?" Jean nods, before asking, "was it in this section? Mutant Town? You mentioned this church after all," she muses. Could it be there's something demonic involved in all the ill that has befallen mutants? Certainly wouldn't be something to rule out entirely. "Symbols mostly," Jean explains, before pointing at the church, "a symbol of love and care, in the middle of a city section that sees much suffering and turning of a cold shoulder. There's almost an irony to this..." it's only at his polite reminder, that she chuckles awkwardly, and offers an introduction in turn, "my name is Jean, a pleasure to meet you, Bjorn. Do you deal with the occult?"

Crusader has posed:
Does he deal with the occule? Between Mad Cows, Monocain for the invisible and insane, demon summonings, entering books, working with Frankenstien and curseing liches among other things, he may as well take up spellcasting and call himself Muscle Merlin. ".....much more than Bjorn would like to admit" he says with a quiet chuckle.
"Jean, now that there is a purdy name. It is of the pleasure to meet yer Jean. But yes, infact" he gestures across the streett "Met the mutant just across the street. Poor thing cannot even enter a church...und Bjorn think dere in trouble" he admits. He has very few he can talk to too about these things, so why not a total stranger?

Phoenix has posed:
"Are you, therefore, not Bjorn?" Jean has to wonder, his manner of refering to himself in 3rd person gets a bit confusing. She's not sure if he might not be possessed himself. She smiles at the compliment about her name, "cannot enter a church? Now that's fascinating..." the closest example Jean could think of was Illyana, Piotr's younger sister, albeit she could venture into a church. She just described it as extremely unpleasant. "I wish I could help her."

Crusader has posed:
".....Bjorn is....not sure" he says "Alot of things changed in Bjorn life over last year" a pause "...but, fer record, this is just how Bjorn talk. Always hauf" he says. He wasn't a mind reader - but Bjorn has been around long enough to know when his manner of talking confuses people. "It is difficult ta explain" he than turns to Jean "...do yer think yer could?" there was a slight change, he seemed more serious, stoic as his eyes suddenly seemed to burrow into Jean. Could this person really help his friend "Und..if yer think yer can. Than how?"

Phoenix has posed:
Jean seems to accept Bjorn's reply, she's not one to go about changing people's habit. There's Emma Frost for that kind of meddling. "I have a gift when it comes to helping people, it's what I do for a living." Jean tries to avoid sounding pretentious as she makes such a claim, but truth be told, that has for the most part been her life. After all, she died to help others. Most can't say the same, at least not after the fact.

Crusader has posed:
"Yer und me both...but...." he gives pause. He looks over Jean a long, long moment. Some might call Bjorn too trusting... he know nothing about this woman. Not where she is from, where she works, or anything. Taking leaps of faith is something Bjorn does...but was this the right time. He closes his eyes looks to the Church. Perhaps...it won't be so bad "Her name is Vicky. Not sure bout her last name. She has bat or demon like wings" he tells Jean

Phoenix has posed:
"That so...? Vicky? I'll keep an eye out for her, you can tell her to look for Jean Grey of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, if you happen to run by her again." Jean reaches into her purse, and takes out a business card to hand to Bjorn, containing her contact information.

Crusader has posed:
Bjorn accepts the card and blinks "Wait...isn't vat..." he gives pause. And chuckles. At 64 years old...and being in the mutant community, he at the very least knows of the school - though never formally been there. He nods "Will do. Oh! Also, magic trick!" he holds the card up between two fingers "Now yer see it..." he curls his fingers with the card inward and than flicks his hand back out, a flower appearing "Now yer don't!" and to note - Bjorn wasn't wearing long sleeves so no place for the card to on the outside, readilly dissapear into.

Phoenix has posed:
"Isn't that what...?" Jean asks, brow furrows as Bjorn takes a certain tone at looking at her card. She laughs at the flourish of the magic trick, "I see you're ever prepared," she remarks while clapping her hands, "that was lovely."

Crusader has posed:
Bjorn smiles "Hehe. Yer should see whit Bjorn kin do with a phone!" he says puffing up his chest proudly. "COurse....whit Bjorn does wif phone both amazes and disgusts folks....often at the same time. Bjorn kin show yer if yer like...but yer goin ta hafta trust Bjorn" he tells Jean. A pause "Und no, et not require us moving anywhere, jist yer giving Bjorn yer phone! Or a phone" he than speaks quiektly "Isnea Xaviers...yer know, a school fer mutants"

Phoenix has posed:
"I have no doubt it's every bit as magical," Jean doesn't argue the claim. Though the stipulation that follows, has her doubting she'd like to witness the feat. "Is that so...? I am uncertain just how much I'd like to see," Jean admits, smiling politely at Bjorn. "Xavier is a School for Gifted Youngsters, be they whoever they may be," Jean corrects tha man, before shaking her head quite pointedly, "I don't think I'll let you handle my phone, thank you for the offer."

Crusader has posed:
Bjorn lets out a boisterous laugh "That is fair!" he crosses his arms and it clear he is curiouse "Bit, if yer work at such a school...Bjorn iz left wonderin....whit kin yer do exactly?" he asks. SOme folks consider it rude to ask such things, other not so much. And in mutant town where mutants where so common, wondering about your fello mutants power is not unsual.

Phoenix has posed:
"I can teach, and administer fairly well," Jean Grey isn't a freshman at Xavier's, and even when she was she never lapsed into giving away the school's secret out in the open, or to just about anyone for that matter. That is a problem with the younger generations and their tendancy to spill secrets. "I'm the Vice Principal of the school."

Crusader has posed:
"Yer know what Bjorn ment" he says with a chuckle "Bit alright, alright" he wasn't going to force jean to tell him. That would be ACTAULLY rude. He simply moves on "Bjorn is repair man, und owner of Bjorn Electronic Repairs! Vere is nothin Bjorn cannot fix. Ipadz, jet planes, old radios, generators, consoles, cars, yer name et, Bjorn kin fix it. Though admitted, unless et be jist the radio, one should probablt take their car to a repair shop" he notes.

Phoenix has posed:
"I know that Bjorn is a very presumptious man," Jean notes when he tries to make light of her very sensible reply to his very persumptive question. Smart choice on his part not to push it any further, Jean these days tends to take a bit more ferociously to such acts. "I think that is a sound advise, though we do have staff to deal with such issues at the school. Shop is a rather favored class."

Crusader has posed:
A pause "Ye nit wrong" he says. Bjorn was evidently also a very honest one. He seems to understand and accept his flaws quite readily. Even before his 'change' Bjorn has always been a bit brazen and bold...and always had trouble with social norms. "Shop? So it is a vocational school" he says "Admittedly, Bjorn never even made it through highschool, dropped oot freshman year" a pause, his face looked suddenly....very very confused, as if he wasn't sure where he was or what he was talking about. He looks around a moment before focusing back on Jean and watches her as if she was an illusion "....ermmm" he shakes his head off "Oh....sorry. Whit was et we were talkin about?"

Phoenix has posed:
"A school, is not a very good one, if it offers limited avenues of growth. Students may choose the subjects that interest them, beyond just the mandatory schooling dictated by the government. We are, of course, accredited." Jean explains. She looks a bit oddly as Bjorn seamlessly loses train of thought, but doesn't pursuit the oddity, after all she doesn't know him very well. "I was just going to say I should be on my way, but while you're in Mutant Town, please take care to see that none of the mutants are being harrassed...it has been an issue of late."
