Lost in the Middle of Knowhere
Date of Scene: 18 April 2018
Location: Knowhere
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Beryl, Crusader

Beryl has posed:
Minoke is wandering around the market. She is a bit overwhelmed by everything and everyone. She is looking for a chunk of starship hull to repair her ship. And maybe something to fix the damaged computer. But... the intricacies of interstellar commerce are lost on the new droid and she doesn't even know how to approach anyone. She eventually retreats into a dark corner, whimpering faintly.

Crusader has posed:
Considering he has bumped into TWO people from space on earth...Bjorn has decided that perhaps for now, he shouldn't be wandering around space in his 'human' form, and has therefore come to Knowhere in his caped (and rather intimidating to most) juggernaut form -Crusader!
He carries himself confidently through the crowds, stoic in expression, quiet in demineer. Hunting for parts he might use for his own ship perhaps. But he gives pause as he hears...whimpering. Cape flowing fluidly behind him he makes his way towards the noise and spots none other than droid from a few days past. His deep voice comes out "What are you doing in this corner hiding?"

Beryl has posed:
Minoke just stares up at the tall man. "H... hello..." she murmurs, beeping softly as she studies the first person to come over to her. She nods slowly. "I... I don't know what to do here... I need some starship hull and some... things... for the ship computer but... I don't know how to talk to those people... and I'm not sure what to offer in return... there's all sorts of metal thingies going around that seem to be some kind of currency...?" She sighs. "I don't know what I'm doing here... I just feel useless."

Crusader has posed:
"First - act like you know what your doing. Many criminals make their home here and will gladly take advanatge of you" he says "Secondly those things are cubes - most hold credits. It is a currency used for the tradeing of goods, though bartering is also acceptable." Crusader wasn't the most...personable person it seems.
"Doubt any here can fix Coulon take directly. It will probably need to be juryrigged. Hull should not be too difficult to percure." he crosses his arms "Though frankly, One is not sure if you should even be going into space in your current state. But for now, let see what we can do to at least mae sure your ship is operable. Come along" and he begins walking.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke nods. "I can do the hull myself... I can shape metal. I've been practicing." She holds up a small piece of scrap metal she found, and it's shaped to look like Green Lantern (Hal) who helped with her 'awakening'. "It's just very... intimidatnig. And scary here." She ponders. "What is your name, sir? I'm Minoke."

Crusader has posed:
"One was designated The Collective Crusade. Or Crusader for sort" he says. Crusader walks along seeming to head into a sector of market where ship parts were more common "And unless you wish to thin out the hull you will need more material. But..." he rubs the tendrills of his 'beard' "If you can find enough scrap, it is one less thing to worry about. What else can you tell One about your ship and the problems it faces? Or can you provide more...detailed reports perhaps?" he glances to the sculpture and gives a simple nod "That is nice" though his voice stays the same giving little indicition of his true thoughts.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke blinks. "Yes, I need to replace a few processors that were damaged in the storm, as well as the secondary computer core. It's a very small ship and the computer is small. I might be able to do... something... if I can just get a few processor units. I seem to be good at electronics and computers..." She doesn't talk about what she is exactly. "I could work with scrap, but weak metal makes weak hull... would rather have decent material."

Crusader has posed:
"Considering your ability to work metal...might you be able to work them into an alloy? Or is that beyound your capabilities?" Crusader asks. "As for processors...that is relatively easy to aquire. Though considering Coluan tech, we will likely need more processors than what was damaged. A computer core is much more difficult" he informs her.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke nods. "I might be able to get around that. The main computer is trying to repair itself. Though the navigation logs are lost. As was the main mission statement... I don't know why I'm here." She blinks. "Alloys? I am uncertain. I can manipualte metals at the molecular level..." She ponders. "I suppose I am Coluan... of sorts." She goes quiet as she considers.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader nods slowly "Then further material components should help it along. Knowing Colauns, your mission likely had to do with infomation gathering for research. One does not know of many Colaun populated worlds, so One would assume you likely came from their home world" he says before leeting the young lady contemplate things

Beryl has posed:
Minoke blinks. "But I don't know where that is - even if I did, I wouldn't know where I came from..." She shrugs. "And I'm not really sure I actually am Coluan... I'm... not..." She hesitates. "I don't know how to explain it." She keeps following after you. "What are the Coluans like?" she finally asks. "Are they like me?"

Crusader has posed:
Crusader hmmms "Might have it on one of my own maps, it is hard to say...as One has never planned on venturing that far out." he glances down to Minoke "Your not organic." he says simply as he walks "Some look like you certainly, but beyound that One could not tell you much as One has not personally delt with Coluans" he looks around the market seeing if there was anything of interest that they could use.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke nods slowly. "Is it that obvious?" she asks curiously. "I was trying to emulate being an organic... most people here tend to be and it makse it easier to blend in..."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader shakes his head "No it is not. Granted it would not be too surprising considering Colauns are evidently known for transferring their conciouness into machines." he says "That and One has....experince in these matters" experince being that he met Minoke as Bjorn.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke nods. "Very well..." she muses. "But I don't remember my past before... a few days ago." She sighs softly. "So... ummmm...." She hesitates, then asks, "Why are you being so kind to me and helping?" she akss as she stops suddenly, gesturing towards one specific dealer. "There's good material at this vendor... I can sense it."

Crusader has posed:
"Might be there is no past to remember" Crusader says. He approaches the dealer and looks over his wares with scrutiny. He says to them "One wishes to see the Nerixian Hull piece" firmly, in a manner suggesting he ment buisness. He than looks to Minoke "Because that is Part of who One is. And it is argubly also pre-programmed into One" he considers this "That part is a bit more iffy"

Beryl has posed:
Minoke shrugs. "I had thought of that..." she muses softly as she watches Crusader haggle. She is studying the behavior of the two, hmmming curiously. She could speak like that to the dealer... but... she has nothing to offer.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader was a firm person, but cordial person. He looks over the piece a few moments before saying to the Vendor "One will offer you 175 credits for this hull....and an additional 67 for those old circuit boards you have over there" he point to them for the Vendor, before looking to Minoke "A bit luck if you ask One" he says before turning to see what the Vendor would say or do.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke blinks as she smiles faintly, watching the two, being a big study of the behavior of the two people. She watches the vendor intently, wondering if he would accept. She is also wondering how much a credit is worth, and is already studying the hull piece, planning how she would adapt it to fit on the hull breach on her ship, and shore up a few other issues.

The vendor thinks about it and then accepts the deal. The price for the hull was basically fair... and getting rid of the circuit boards for basically tenfold their value was just gravy. The vendor hands the product over and turns for another customer. Minoke beeps at Crusader. "I didn't even look at those boards... they might work..." She hmmmmmms. "Do you need anything here? I can carry a lot..."

Crusader has posed:
"One doubts you can carry as much as Oneself" Crusader says bluntly as he hefts the hull onto his shoulder with ease. Crusader passes a small cube over a scanner, paying for the purchse before the cube sinks into his guantlet. But he none the less hands Minoke the box of boards, as she did mention feeling useless "One is simply browsing, as very little is needed for ship. So it is of passing interest really. And One prefer to build own things." he eyes the box "Hopefully it is enough"

Beryl has posed:
Minoke looks them over. "Should be. It's a very small ship, and all it really is is an engine to get me over interstellar distances. I don't need any life-support..." She shrugs. "Though... I'm starting to wonder if some shields might not be a bad idea but... I can't imagine that being easy to acquire." She smiles as she starts heading towards where her little ship is.

Crusader has posed:
"Considering how smart Colaus are, One must wonder if perhaps your ship had a shield glitch. After all, shields are fairly standard on any vessel to to how harmful various space anomolies can be to both organics and technology. If not...than the Colaun who constructed your ship clearly needed to study Space travel better" He follows Minoke along, his eyes always on the peel for trouble that might try to take them on "If not, One is sure he can get some up and working"

Beryl has posed:
Minoke shrugs. "It's possible..." She ponders. No trouble seems to come along the two as she shows you her ship, which is litreally only ten feet long. And has a hatch that is just gone now, melted by Warlock in rescuing her. "Here it is..." She then accesses the computer, and sees the massive burn on the circuit board. "I think the shield generator's down... maybe it's the bad computer..." She pondres as she starts working on the damaged processors, clicking her tongue. "Should be able to do something here... any thoughts?" she asks, gazing up at the Crusader.

Crusader has posed:
As Crusader looks over the damage he narrows his eyes a moment "Hmmm. One...may be able to help get a 'full repair' of the ship going. Though the....missing door frame may be a bit beyond One ability" heck it Colaun tech, he may only be able to repair the physical components "But for now, One will make sure your hield Generator is up and running. Even if she cannot get spaceborn yet, it should provide extra protection none the less" and with that he sets to work on the generators

Beryl has posed:
Minoke nods as she works on the computer problems, nodding as she repairs some of the damaged parts - but it takes three of the processors to serve as one of the proper ones. She saves all the original parts, as she takes the piece of hull and starts shaping it - she just holds it and the metal starts to glow and... reshape, parts of it dripping off onto the floor - it's not heat, just molecular alteration as she soon has it at the rigth shape. "How did this hatch get like this?" she asks as she takes the other metal and starts to shape it, holding it against the hull. "It's a strange type of damage..."

Crusader has posed:
"Ask whoever damaged it" is Crusader answer. He wasn't no magic user...or whatever Adam was. Tendrills from his 'beard' stretch forward and intergrate themselves with Minoke ship. And similar to a living being, he begins to repair the damaged generators as his 'cellnites' are given up in order to physically repair the equipment. Wires are rerouted, circuit paths remade and reaffirmed, chip and damage areas slowly 'growing' back into a repairs state. It was alot of damage to undo, but he had the mass for it

Beryl has posed:
Minoke gazes up at you. "Thank you for your help, Crusader... if you ever need me to do something for you, I will do my best. I have a feeling... that there are things I don't even know about myself yet - that could be helpful..." She smiles softly as the two work on the ship.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader nods "One will keep that in mind. Though it is really no problem" he reiterates. After all being thrust into deep space...is a pretty big deal when you know virtually nothing about it.. But none the less he indeed keeps working on the ship with Minoke, doing his best to help get it in decent conition
