Phoebe's first date with Victor
Date of Scene: 22 April 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Cyborg, Stepford Cuckoos

Cyborg has posed:
It's a beautiful day, the sun is shining in the sky, the birds are singing in the trees. A soft breeze blows through the trees complimenting the warm spring sun in the clear blue sky keeping things from getting too hot nor too cold. It's just right.

About five minutes early Cyborg drives up on the address provided the other day. His car is one of a kind, a bright white sedan with what look like blue glowing circuitry running across the shell of the car just below a layer of clear plastic or perhaps even gas. The roof is covered in solar cell's but it still has that roar of a combustion engine.

The base thumps and roars as he pulls up music turning down as he drives closer trying to find a good parking space. He sings along with the music. "Is he depressed or is he a mess?" As he rolls up on the scene slowing down for a quick look around "Does he feel totally worthless?" As he pulls towards a parking spot "Who came up with person man?" As he comes to a soft stop, throwing on the parking break. "Degraded man, person man." Bobbing his head along with the music the entire time right up to the moment he shuts off the car and hops out.

Cyborg is dressed for success. Not too formal or showy but not too casual. Nice button down shirt, and a pair of black pants with his varsity jacket on over-top of it. He shuts the door with a good deal of care and respect as it is his baby. A quick pause is taken for him to transfer his hand into a hose to wash off a small splattering of mud that managed to land on the car on the way over before his hand shifts back to a hand. "Triangle man, triangle man" He sings as he starts to walk away from the car. "Triangle man hates person man" As he bobbs a little from side to side with each step feeling the music even though it's stopped "They have a fight, triangle wins" He pauses for a moment. "Triangle man"

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
Standing not too far off, in a white and black outfit with a splash of blue, Phoebe is waiting at the spot she told Victor to come pick her up at. The girl is wearing a long white with black buttons and hem over coat that goes down to just above her shoes. It's a very long and bright jacket while she wears a black top in a swooping 'u' neck, that's tucked into a vibrant and almost pearlescant shade of cobalt, skirt, that goes down maybe to half her thigh. Long jacket, short skirt indeed. The woman has black hose covering her legs and a pair of small and tight black heels on her feet.

Stepping forward, her shoes click on the sidewalk with each step and she slips her phone into the outside pocket of her coat as she steps to greet Victor, her hand lifting up to brush her hair out of her face.

"Who is this triangle man?" Phoebe asks casually and yet still confused.

Cyborg has posed:
Cyborg comes to a stop. "Hey hey Phoebe, looking great!" A smile on his face warm and friendly as he sticks his hands into the pockets of his varsity jacket. "Oh it's a song I used to listen to as a kid." He pulls his hand back out of his pocket and it shifts shape into what looks like a speaker. Holding it up in place there's a light pause before it starts playing Particle Man by They Might Be Giants. "See it's by this group: They Might be Giants, they used to do educational songs for kids, they've got a great one that teaches the days of the week about a man who never goes to work because his 'work' is actually just his passion, and he's so dedicated it never feels like work."

Phoebe's eyes linger on Victor's as he talks, and the telepath can't help but keep her mind moving and scanning the world, in that it's a feature she's never been taught how to turn off. She always does it. Her and her sisters all do.

"That is interesting Victor." The clone says in a polite tone with the rehearsed smile flashing across her features briefly before she asks without warning, "Where will we be going on this date? I am anxious to see what you have planned for us." No, she's certainly the more robotic of the two of them. Some how.

Cyborg has posed:
Cyborg shuts the music back off and shifts his hand into a holographic display screen. He pinches the display with two of his fingers zooming out as he moves next to her so he can show the itinerary for the date. It's clear he doesn't really seem too bothered about how robotic she's being at the moment. "Alright so I'm thinking we start things off with a trip to this pet shop downtown, they've got some really cool gene modded animals for sale." He swipes his finger over to the side.

"Then I'm thinking we go check out that pizza place on fourth, they've got the best deep dish I've had outside of Chicago." Stated firmly with a smile as he rattles off the plan. "Then round the night off with the adorable terror that is: Paws 3D, it's got a zero on rotten tomatoes but I hear it's in that so bad at being scary it's funny territory because they made the dogs too cute and the script, and acting is abysmal." He motions with his hand. "When it's all said and done I drop you back off here and ride off into the sunset."

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"Then we best get started. I'm curious to get to know you better." The blonde girl says with a smile after she leans back from looking closer at the holographic display provided by Victor's morphed hand.

"Does that hurt?" She asks out of no where with a motion towards the man's hand after it changes it back and she smiles softly, waiting to Victor to get on with it and show her a good time.

Cyborg has posed:
The hand shapes back to how it was when it first started out. "Oh yeah it hurts a lot," Spoken a bit nonchalantly as he starts making his way back to the car. "I just shut off the pain receptors in whatever part I'm shifting." He gives a bit of a smile. "Can't tell it hurts if you just shut off power to the nerves." Cyborg takes a moment to open the door to his car for Phoebe moving out of the way. "After you, madame."

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
That's a bit of information that Phoebe stores away in her mind. That could really be something of use as the girl could turn off power to the pain receptors in other's mind. Truely a useful trick.

"Thank you Victor. I appreciate the kindness." She says as she holds her hands over her coat and slips into the passenger seat. "What kind of car is this? I am not familiar with the manufacture even." The young woman asks as she pulls out her phone and switches the camera on so she can check her make up and hair before she turns and levels the phone to take a picture of herself with Victor beside her. "That is a good one." She says softly.

Cyborg has posed:
Cyborg hops in the drivers seat and the car powers on, before his door is even shut. It's a quick moment to just smile for the camera, before he starts driving off to their first destination. "She's pretty sweet aint she? Call her the T-Car." He runs a robotic hand across the dashboard. "One of a kind runs on diesel, kerosene, regular gas fry oil, hydrogen fuel cells or even the sun." Already starting off down the road just at the sped limit. "Top speed of 230 miles per hour, zero to sixty a half second, and best of all?" He presses a button on the wheel and a pair of extra large jumbo sized cup holders pop out. "Twin resizable cup holders. Installed em myself. Booyah."

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"Wow. That's very interesting." The girl says as she turns her phone back so she can view with a casual glance before she taps the screen a few times. "Did you make the whole thing yourself, or did you simply add the cup holders?" The inquisitive telepath asks as she leans back into the seat and puts the phone away in her pocket with a grin over to Victor.

Cyborg has posed:
"Added the cup holders, the radio, fixed up the engine so it would actually run, added the GPS fixed the paintjob to be a bit more my speed." Cyborg kicks back and relaxes as they drive along making good time thanks to the built in traffic detection system which is going a great job of automatically suggesting the fastest route for them to take. "Also had to add the steering wheel gas and break pedals since when I got it, it was a driverless car." He shakes his head. "Never understood why someone would want a car that drives itself when half the fun is you, the car and the open highway." Already the petstore starts to come into view. Uncle Destro's Pet Supply.

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"I don't see the fun in driving, but I am glad you do. To me it seems like it is easier to let the robots do the driving and everything else. It is simply safer." The young woman responds, not trying to take the wind out of his sails.

Cyborg has posed:
"but safer doesn't mean more entertaining" Cyborg corrects as he pulls up to the store. Already the moment the cars engine is off he's walking right around to the other side of the car in order to get the door for her. "There's no fun without a bit of risk involved. Life needs that chance of failure that chance of injury to really mean something." He makes motions with his hands as he waits by the car door. "When you remove all the risk from someones life you remove something from the person you know?"

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
Phoebe climbs out of the seat and takes Victor's hand in order to pull up as she uses her other hand to smooth the backside of her white coat. "Thank you for the drive, but I, or at least my sisters has a problem where they can't have fun without being safe." Phoebe says with a shrug of her shoulders as she begins to walk beside Victor into the pet store.

The blonde draws in a deep breath and gasps as she points at the creatures in the window. Calico Retrievers, one of the simplest gene splices, but one that's incredibly popular. "Oh, he's so cute!" She says, diving for her phone to take a photo.

Cyborg has posed:
Cyborg takes a moment to softly close the door with a light click into place. He nods his head quietly for a moment before saying to himself. "Cyborg, you know how to please the ladies." Feeling pretty proud on his choice given all he had to go on was: She's cute, and Psychic, and might potentially be a part of a hive mind if it works like the movies. He hasn't confirmed that yet, but it'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Walking over with his hands in his pockets Cyborg keeps a smile on his face as his attention is drawn to the tortoise shell hamsters. Something about the image of a hamster with a tortoise shell on its back that it can hide in just makes him about break out laughing.

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
As if from no where, the Cuckoo is behind Victor and speaking abruptly, "What're you laughing so vivid- Oh. That's quite an amusing thought." She replies and solves her own question as she asks it by viewing Victor's mindscape.

With her eyes looking over to feather'd snakes, Phoebe asks softly, "Were you going to get a pet, because that seems like a huge responsibility and a large assumption on our potential relationship, that might, or might not last this date." She says, rationalizing externally as if that wasn't weird.

Cyborg has posed:
"You can look at pets in a petstore without buying anything." Cyborg comments while looking over the various strange and exotic animals. It's fascinating enough just to see what scientists come up with next. "Half the fun is just looking at how cute they are without having to actually, you know" He motions with his hands. "Actually pay for, feed, care and love a pet." His mind jumps for a moment to a quick scene that plays out of him owning and operating his own circus run using gene spliced animals but it's there and gone in an instant.

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"Glad you didn't hold onto that thought." Phoebe says with a grin over her shoulder towards the cyborg, "Would have been a horrendous waste of any money you had." The white pawn says before she steps around and wraps one of her arms around Victor's, holding him closer to her as she walks around with him now. "I could love that calico retriever for years to come though. They really are super adoreable."

Cyborg has posed:
"Well if you actually want one." Cyborg says with a bit of a smile. There's a loud BOOOOOOM that rings out. A flash of lights and colors all around as they move almost instantly through space finding themselves stood out in front of what looks like more of a home then a petstore. "I never buy from puppymills, always better to adopt." He starts walking up to a little stall off to the side of the road where a young man sets with a sign that reads puppies for sale. The positioning of the sun says they're in a completely different timezone in early morning. <Hello, I'd like to buy one of your dogs please> Offered in Spanish, as he digs into his pocket pulling out a wallet filled with different nations currency.

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
Phoebe's hair snaps in a abrupt change in pressure, and atmosphere. She blinks several times as she clings tighter to Cyborgs arm and yet the minds around are in languages she's not familiar with. It's during this moment of mental exploration that she clings mentally to Cybrog and discovers he's able to speak this "Oh. Spanish." She whispers to herself.

"A little warning lover boy." The woman demands as she stays next to Victor.

Cyborg has posed:
"If I warned you, it wouldn't be as impressive." Cyborg jokes with a smile before he just scratches the back of his bald head. "Alright, alright I'll give you more warning next time." He pulls out the equivalent of 10 bucks, and hands it over to the child setting with the puppies. The boy's eyes light up with a smile across his face as he holds up the basket. Cyborg takes a moment to translate. "Take your pick"

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
Phoebe gasps as the basket is held forward and she steps closer with her hand reaching up to cover her lips in the shock of soft gasps from her face. "They're so cute. I want to take them all, but... you decide. You pick for me Victor. I can't decide."

Phoebe looks around at the soft sunrise and smiles, her eyes looking up towards Victor and starting to understand that there might be something more here than just a budding friendship, and she doesn't know what to do with these feelings. Not yet.

Cyborg has posed:
"I think." Cyborg pauses a long moment before reaching his hand into the basket. He pulls up the smallest puppy from the basket, the runt of the litter. The dog's got a bad eye and his tounge is lolling out the corner of his mouth in the heat. He doesn't seem very active and he doesn't look that impressive. "How about this one?" He asks the boy saying in Spanish. <Oh Mr.Robot sir, you don't want that one he is very sickly, I don't think he's going to make it.>

<Exactly why he needs a good home.> Is all cyborg returns with before taking the moment to translate for Phoebe.

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"How sad and delightful! That one is perfect." The young woman says, reaching her hands out to take the dog in her arms as Cyborg takes care of the finances. "You're a lot sweeter than you seem on the exterior." The telepath says as she turns around and looks down at the puppy and makes sweet noises to it softly.

Cyborg has posed:
The rest of the date surprisingly enough goes just as smoothly. They take a trip to chicago for a pizza at the worlds best Pizza joint for Chicago deep dish, and share some stories while there then the night is rounded off with an Imax screening of Paws. They're the only ones even in the theater, which is good because otherwise they might not have gotten away with sneaking Phoebe's new dog in with them.

All in all it's a nice relaxing night where nothing major goes wrong and by the end Phoebe is dropped off right where Cyborg picked her up. A nice end to an all around enjoyable night. And best of all Cyborg doesn't even once wind up getting called away for a mission or to save the day.
