Visiting Darcy
Date of Scene: 01 May 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Bucky's talked down from his last mission by Darcy.
Cast of Characters: Winter Soldier, Darcy Lewis

Winter Soldier has posed:
A simple text message is sent to Darcy. Bucky's at the Triskelion, the garage, next to his bike, resting a palm on the seat for a moment while he waits to see if she replies. Depending on that... a lot could be different for the rest of the evening.

The text sent: "Hey. I'm alive."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy had taken a day off of work to handle some personal things. OBGYN appointments. It was as she was putting cloths in the dryer that her cell phone pings an alert for a text message.

James Barnes: "Hey. I'm alive."

Darcy smiles as she reads the message. She turns to lean back on the dryer, freeing her hands to return the text: "Awesome! Welcome back to the world of the living."

Winter Soldier has posed:
Bucky is pleased, there's an answer right away, though nobody will see him smile. He'd hoped she'd be around. He clings a leg over the bike, but sits back, resting on it, while he responds again.
So his text continues: "Good to be back. Mission complete. Caught the bad guy."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
In her apartment, Darcy pads on barefeet back to her sofa, flopping onto it in a tank top and undies. Holding her phone over her head, she types back a reply: "You are a fucking bad ass. Want a video call?"

Winter Soldier has posed:
Bucky was halfway into putting his helmet on when his phone chimes back. He answers, "about to take a ride somewhere. Restless. Hungry." Bucky replies, having to remove his right glove to reply. He still doesn't turn over the engine, but waits for a response.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Restless and hungry? Darcy frowns, flopping over to her stomach and taking a moment to resettle the girls beneath her. If he's ready to take a ride somewhere and feeling restless, Darcy leaps to thinking that he maybe shouldn't be alone.

"I'd love to take a ride somewhere: red rover red rover can Bucky cum over?" she types back, sending a kissy face emoji at the end of her message.

Winter Soldier has posed:
Text reply: "Yeah. You home? I'll head that way." Bucky starts up his bike, but doesn't quite leave yet: after all, if she's somewhere else, he'll need the destination update. But he gets ready otherwise, just watching for the final confirmation.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy smiles, nodding at her phone even as she sends a little GIF of someone nodding emphantically. Yes yes yes, says the GIF.

"Home and waiting." she sends back and then sets about wondering if she should pull on some pants or not. Hmm... this is a hard decision for the girl. Should she ask for his opinion?

Winter Soldier has posed:
Bucky sends just "OK" and puts his phone away, firing up his motorcycle and leaving the Triskelion facility in his rearview mirrors. The reply was simple and terse, but the trip isn't going to take very long for the efficient and swift rider. There was only a minor hassle on the exit. But once that's done, the trip isn't too bad.
He arrives, parks easily, sends "Here" text, and then navigates to her place, and knocks.
Bucky himself looks "off" when he arrives. Something is wonky about his hair color, it's a little darker than before. He has normal jeans and sneakers, and an "avengers" branded sweatshirt that looks like gift shop fare. It's a little small, which gives a pleasant clarity to his muscular form. Left hand is concealed in a sweatshirt pocket. His expression is the worst of it, though: there's a battered vacancy (looking at but also through her) behind the smile and small, subdued wave of greeting. And that silence.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Ok.

Ok....

Ok? Darcy's lips purse as she reads that text a few times, waiting for something more. Two minutes pass and when nothing comes through, she sighs and pushes herself up.

Her living room is neat enough. Not disgusting, not museum clean. Jus thte right amoung of 'Fuck you I live here'. Still debating the pants things, she finally does pull on some thin cottom pajama bottoms that are too loose to fit her waist and so are held up only by the fact that she has wide hips. At the sound of the knock, Darcy opens the door. What she sees bothers her more than a little.

When she met him he was emotionless and broken but not this broken. He waves, silent, and Darcy makes her mind up right then.

She smiles, the expression just as bright even if her lips arent bright red, and she reaches out to catch his hand, holding it as she leads him insde.

"Hey there handsome. Come in. Can I get you a drink? Sandwich? Lap dance?"

Winter Soldier has posed:
Bucky summons some kind of human out of the dead shell and smiles back, reaching to accept her hand and be led in. "I came to the right place, huh? All of those, in that order," Bucky smiles. He's making a genuine effort, though it's a little stilted. Still, it isn't like he's a zombie.
"You look good. Though, I mean, it was only a few weeks. Those things... usually feel longer."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
It's a haunted lilt Darcy can feel, and it makes her skin crawl. But rather than shy away, she leads Bucky to the sofa she had sprawled on not long ago, and gently pushes on him to make him settle to it.

"Hope you're ok with beer or tea," she quips, straightenjng with a grin.

"Thanks. I've had pizza." The way most people say i've been working out.

"You prolly can't talk about it, so just relax. You're home, you're safe, everything is peaches now. Cream cums inna lil bit," she remarks as she fetches his prefered drink before making the sandwich and returning to him with it and chips on a plate.

"Lap dance after your meal."

Winter Soldier has posed:
There's that dead, empty place of uncaring robotic murder that exists in Bucky. It mostly stays back out of sight, but that uncomfortable inhuman vibe is a bit more front. Even if Bucky is behaving reasonably.
"Either," Bucky says, lacking opinion on drink. That awkward apathy. Which also makes him firm to push on before he actively relents to sit and smile. Just don't stare into the serial killer eyes too hard.
"I'm out of it, sorry. What have you been up to?" He knows. He doesn't want to be that. But it IS. "Thank you," of the food. He engages more, moving aside to make space for her on the couch.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Either. Well, beer then. Darcy settles herself to tge low coffee table in front of him as ge eats at least until he makes room for ger and so she shifts to curl up near his side.

"Ive been up to 5'6" in heels, but otherwise nothing really stupid exciting. Looking forward to your next movie night though. I was thinking "Princess bride"...." she says smiling gently under the weight of his murder-eyes.

"You're welcome. I'm glad I went to the market yesterday."

Winter Soldier has posed:
"Lies, I see no heels," Bucky teases mildly, looking down briefly. After she curls he adapts, moving an arm behind her, hand on her far shoulder, then easing towards hip as she curls in. It's his metal arm though, so things could be more comfortable: it's hard to lean against, but he doesn't rest it on her. More efforts to be better, though. "I watched Dracula the other night. Steve made popcorn."
There's a relaxed lighter person in Bucky that comes up with the mention of Steve. And that person sticks around to say, "Working my way through things I partially remember," Bucky answers. "Princess Bride?... okay." No idea.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Sharp mind notes that he lightens up at mention of Steve. She smiles, having wiggled her bare toes at him when he comments of her lack of heels.

"You want a lapdance in heels? Fine. I'll even put on a dress for you." Darcy retorts, winking and sticking out her tongue. He puts an arm behind her and she curls into him with a tiny happy hum.

"Happy to help jog your memory. Princess Bride is a classic. We are so watching it later." Because after sandwich is lapdance. She promised.

Winter Soldier has posed:
"I'm not picky. But obviously," Bucky's easy humor comes through for him. He was as hungry as he said, and starts in on the beer first, then the sandwich. And offering her a chip from it, a playful motion, even, if he wants to accept it via mouth. "Classic? Then for sure. Lots of quotes to know?" He guesses.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"So many it's inconceivable." Darcy grins because she used a quote in a sentence and she's a badass.

Winter Soldier has posed:
Bucky doesn't get the joke, but does peer at her a little bit. "I'll think that's funny after the movie, I hope," Bucky questions, mildly giving her a hard time. And wolfing sandwich further. The food is helping a lot: food and relaxing draws him out. "I can't go into detail on the mission, but we got custody of the man that shot agent Rhodes. He tried to put a hole in Steve, as well." SCOWL.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"You really will," Darcy promises on a smile, leaning up to press a light kiss on his collarbone. She is not at all bothered by the hard time, eyes warming further as he relaxes back to something more human. That scowl has Darcy pushing up and moving to straddle Bucky's lap.

"Hey. You got the bad guy. He's paying his due. No need to dwell on it too much more, alright. Of course, they let you in on interrogation, you bust his nose, but for now? Right now, you relax."

Winter Soldier has posed:
Watching Darcy, and her gentle kiss, suddenly has Bucky a lot more present in the room. Interest and anticipation can do that! "You give a good argument for relaxing," Bucky says, leaning just a bit to put the plate and beer aside.
He sits up to not just be so passive, to draw more from himself for her, to offer her a better, warmer kiss of reply. And maybe he can leave that dark place in himself out of the way for a little while too.

It is unlikely. But worth a try.
