Cast of Characters: Starfire, Breath

Starfire has posed:
A beautiful sunny day at Titans Tower, and since no Red X stuff has come up lately, Kory has come up for some sunbathing. Wearing an itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny yellow polka-dot bikini (she heard a song about it and ordered one online), she goes to the lawn chair and flops down on it, sighing happily as she lets herself bask in the sunlight. The Silkie isn't with her this time - he's sleeping in Kory's room. (Or someone's sock drawear, he likes to do that sometime.)

Breath has posed:
Lyssa slips up to the roof in a bathing suit - a blue swim skort and a sports bra type top. She look around quietly, sees you, pauses, then waves softly. "..Hey.. I felt like getting some fresh air. I hope you don't mind.. you know." She bites her lip and wanders closer. "You don't mind me being here, right?" A bit nervous, like a puppy that's been kicked once too many.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r opens her eyes up and gazes at you. "Of course not. You're one of us, silly. Just don't block the sun or something and we'll all be good." She giggles softly. "I need the sunlight... so I sunbathe regularly. I wear as little as I can get away with when doing so in accordance to Earth's silly decency laws."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa nods. "I can stay out of the sun. Yeah, I just always worry that people are only comfortable with me when I have all my clothes on. I mean, I shouldn't." She sits down, down-sun. "I doubt anybody checks rooftops, and those vary a lot from place to place. But you know. The guys might get weird, as usual. I was debating on going swimming, but I hadn't decided..

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "Why would your attire affect others' comfort levels with you?" she asks blankly. "Beside, we're two miles from the neareste building - being on an island in the bay has its advantages." She gazes at you. "I'm confused."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa ums, "Because I have some anatomy that doesn't match. Which I totally hate by the way, and it doesn't work but still? Like.. Some people get weirded out for some reason. I grew up around a lot of people who express 'weirded out' with their fists."

She frowns and looks off to the side, trying to push a few uncomfortably frightening memories off to the side from when she really couldn't do anything about it, and makes a couple of odd faces, smoothing her hair with her fingers. "So like, I guess a bit like why you wear a little bit of clothes."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r shrugs. "That, and my people just don't have... a sense of modesty." She smiles faintly. "What's wrong with how you look? You look fine to me." She seems honestly puzzled. "And I've seen all kinds - during my teenage years many different races were with me in... where I was." She evades that subject at the last moment.

Breath has posed:
Lyssa notices the evasion, does not chase it. "Sure.. not everybody has that wide of experience. The people that do are pretty good with me, I think, but I mean.. I don't know how much some of the people here have been out and about. And like.. I don't really get as much of the point of modesty other than the whole not wanting to make people angry thing." She hmmms.. "Maybe because I don't really notice that much? Who knows. Anyway. What was it like where you are from?"

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r sighs softly. "I don't think about it," she murmurs. "I dare not. I can not." She gazes up at the sky. "For if I do - I'll start crying. My home is gone. My sister razed the planet. Jealous bitch she is." She blinks. "So... why does seeing you somewhat unclothed make people angry again? You're beautiful in my eyes."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa ohs. "Because when I was born, people thought I was a boy. It took awhile before I could tell them they were wrong, and they didn't believe me because they could see what my body looked like. Nobody wanted to help at all, and I couldn't get to anybody who would listen until after I already grew out with all the boy features. Then I left."

She shrugs a bit. "In the meanwhile, people knew something was wrong, so they were... kind of mean."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "That seems like such a strange situation... that people would dislike you for that." She sighs softly, then lbinks. "Oh... so you have a female soul in a male body. That must be hell for you." She nods slowly. "Am I... making you jealous just by... being out here like this?" she asks, in her... practically nothing.

Breath has posed:
Lyssa shakes her head. "Nah, you're totally fine. I mean, my issues are pretty much under control as it is, and I'm not showing anything that bugs me right now. Just like, it's other people that I worry about, mostly. That still chews on me, yanno?"

She picks up the apple she carried out and takes a bite out of it, chews, thinks some, swallows. "Maybe it makes some people weird. I dunno. I mean, we're both girls." She shrugs and looks you over idly, then back to her apple. Munch munch.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r shrugs. "Yes, we are," she muses. "So, Lyssa, what would you like to do today?" she asks. "I plan on catching some more rays. Maybe doing some traget practice on any little insects that flit by my vision. If you have a plan, I'll listen."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa shakes her head. "I didn't have a plan. I spent a bunch of time studying diplomacy and trying to learn about Atlantis, until my head started spinning. Now I just want to relax and visit. I guess I am the one who gets to apologize for that Red X ...thing that I didn't do."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "Atlantis?" she asks blankly. "Isn't that some underwater thing?" She shrugs. "And I know more about diplomacy then I ever got to use... I could've been queen one day." She sighs. "Oh well. Relaxing and visiting is what I do best."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa nods. "Yeah, totally underwater. Not much sun there. Red X stole an Atlantean art piece, and Vorpal tried to stop them alone. It didn't work, so now we feel like we need to apologize for that. Stardust suggested me and Robin deal with it. You might be awesome at it too? Iunno. It's not like there's a submarine *right here* anyways. I just want to relax a bit..!" She sprawls out a bit on the chair and suns. "Or swim, I haven't decided." She mms.. "Anyway, however works. I can use some lessons, I guess."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "Ummmmm...." she states. "There's a reason the Titans Tower is on an island. You've never went to floor minus 10? We do have a sub." She grins. "We can go swimming - or I'm happy sunbathing while you swim. Either way."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa half-eyerolls. "Yeah, I know we have a sub, but we're on the roof. Swimming is good, I could use the practice. I don't want to wreck your recharge time though, right? And like, I like the company."

She stretches and tilts her head, wiggling her hands and ankles. "What other kind of stuff do you like doing?"

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r ponders. "Oh, a compromise!" She gets up and grabs a pool float, and drops it in the pool and splashes on it, sighing happily. "I love exploring Earth's vast culinary fields, especially the mustard. I even have a day job... I think that's the saying. I model for a magazine that caters to aliens and mutants."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa ohhs! "Well that's neat. I don't think anybody would want to see me, other than.. brr, never mind, bad mental image. But anyway." She jumps in and takes her sweet time coming back up. "Just mustard? Or is there anything else you like tasting?"

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles. "Let's put it this way. What's the worst-tasting thing you can think of?" she asks as she waits for you to come up. She gazes at you as you come up. "You should have more pride in your body. You are a proficient warrior, by the way."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa wipes the water off of her face. "I guess. It just looks weird. And thanks, I don't know how much you've actually seen yet.." She hmmms and thinks about the food question. "Of actual food thingies? I'd guess badly cooked okra. The texture was a nightmare."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r shrugs. "I will look when people reveal themselves. It'd be rude otherwise. I was more thinking about bitter things. Sauerkraut. Beer. Mustard." She ponders. "My taste buds work opposite. You like sugar? Ice cream? Soda pop? To me, they are horridly bitter. Beer, sauerkraut, and stuff that you'd think is bitter tastes great."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa ohs. "I *like* sauerkraut... And honestly, I'm so so on pizza. I like barbecue more." She hmms. "And I learned not to talk about the one pizza I thought was good. It's a deep, dark secret..." She looks down in shame, shaking her head. "I dread the day my pizza secret is revealed." Grins.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r turns over and stares at you. "You have to tell..." she states softly, clicking her tongue. "You can't just make a statement like that and not tell." She pokes you.

Breath has posed:
Lyssa wades over and giggles. "You can never tell anyone! Seriously, they will run me off if they knew.." then leans in close to conspiratorially whisper into your ear...

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks as she stares blankly. "I don't know what that is," she muses softly. "Can you eludicate," she whispers back, not really sure what she was told. She blinkblinks. "Nevermind, I guess I can ogle it." (Maybe she meant 'google'?)

Breath has posed:
Lyssa nodsnods, "Yeah, that works. Or just ask one of the pizza fans. Just don't say my name!" She grins and falls backward into the water, swimming underwater across the pool and back at a fairly mundane speed. After a bit, she gets back and surfaces nearby, throwing her hair back and shaking the water off.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "You have some impressive lung capacity," she states, clicking her tongue as she watches you, her pizza-slice-shaped life raft rocking with your swimming movements.

Breath has posed:
Lyssa blinks, not taking a breath or anything. Then she blinks again at you. "...Well... yeah... that's kind of my thing, right?" She tilts her head and puts her hands on her hips, with difficulty because she basically doesn't have hips worth a darn. She gestures in some confusion. "I mean..." At. A. Loss.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "Oh... ummmm...." She tilts her head. "I forgot. It's still impressive. You might be able to outdo even me in a breath-holding contest..." She hmmmmms softly. "I'm sorry if I embarraseed you..."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa ohs.. "I don't think the word is 'embarrassed'.." she tilts her head a bit. "I dunno. Anyway." She treads water idly, enjoying the day.
