Deadpool has posed:

The living room was something of a disaster. There were five large boxes, three of them had been opened, one packed out entirely, with the box cut along all four sides. There were wrenches and screwdrivers, a tool box, packing peanuts, bubble wrap, cardboard spacers, all kinds of things. The three boxes contained the segments of furniture, as Deadpool had bought two new recliners and a new couch, but they had to be assembled. There were a few other boxes in the recycling, since it seemed he'd already set up a loveseat, which was grey in colour and had wooden feet.

A little ways away, there were another two boxes as he had bought a new barbecue. But why did he have to start multiple jobs at once? Still, he was being a handy guy. He was dressed casually, especially for him, wearing a t-shirt which was navy blue and had written in grey text, "property of Natasha Romanova". It seemed to be a custom design, as underneath, there was some legal jargon, which if read, would suggest that had been bought for 20 easy payments of well, it was very descriptive, and probably a little obscene. But then, it was the fine print, and nobody could read that unless they got close, like, uncomfortable personal space close.

He was currently sitting in the living room, screwing something into a part, with an Ikea like visual guide book on the coffee table, "I miss when these things said insert tab D into slot C."

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
"Are you /sure/ you don't want any help?" Natasha asks from her perch atop that newly assembled love seat. She's dressed casually as well. A pair of black cotton shorts nad a white tank top with no catchy phrases or designs. It's simple and comfortable, leaving her legs and arms completely bare. She is even barefoot. If she has a gun on her, it isn't obvious. Course, that doesn't mean there probably isn't a weapon on hsr. It's he rnature after all. She might already have a gun tucked into the cushions of the love seat knowing her.

She's asked at least six times so far and every time he has declined her assistance. She has a cup of tea in sitting beside her on an end table as she watches him with a slightly amused smile.

Deadpool has posed:
"No, no, I've got this, I've got this... 'course I would pick the instructions in Swahili." Yeah, he knew they were wordless, just as she did. But it didn't stop him from cracking that joke, "or are these in charades?" He had a pencil over his ear. He didn't need it, hadn't used it, but it looked cool on builder guys. He also had a tool belt on. There weren't any tools on it, not as such. His belt had a rubber chicken, silly string, whipped cream, and other strange things to be on a tool belt. "I'll get this, I know I will." The most amazing thing was that he was going without his mask. He had become that comfortable with her in their almost year together. He barely ever wore his mask around their homes. He always wore it when they went out, and it was nearby, in fact, he had one in his tool belt, but the fact he was able to go without it spoke volumes. Moving on to the next step, he had to open another box. Soon, he'd have a recliner finished.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
It had taken a long time for him to stop wearing that mask. He would take it off if she specifically asked when they were in private but him just leaving it off without a request had been a long, slow process. Yet here he was, working away and not hiding. She didn't smile because it might make him self conscious but she was happy he was that comfortable. "I do have to wonder why you insisted on buying stuff that had to be assembled. You know you can get them ready made, and delivered, to your house. Even have movers to bring it inside. Would've saved you a lot of work."

Unless it's the pride thing that he made it for his house. She's not sure he would care that much but he's surprised her more than once. Probably always would. It's one of those reasons she was with him. He made her laugh and he was full fo surprises. After almost 100 years, things often seemed repetitive. So to have something refreshing like his point of view? Priceless.

Deadpool has posed:
"This is like man lego, which is apparently now entirely fine for adult men to enjoy. That's just weird. But the hardware store, and the building furniture, doing stuff with your hands, that's all manly and butch and... you could have assembled this stuff in like 5 minutes flat, huh?" She probably could have. "I guess I just wanted to build some things for our house." It had stopped being his house a long time ago, in his mind anyway. "Of course, I do love any job that gets you hot and sweaty." He winked at her, and... carefully removed a scab that fell out in the process, trying to discard it into the pile of recycling and trash. He was still super self conscious about that sort of thing, even if she seemed so fine with it all. But still, he had made tremendous progress with her.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
If she noticed, Natasha never lets on. Maybe that's why he is learning to be a little less insecure. At least when alone with her. "No, I don't think I could have. Assembling furniture wasn't covered in the Red Room," she says with a wink. "Or at any other part of my life, to be honest. But I understand you wanting to do it. It makes sense." So he did want to make something for their house. It made her smile again which she carefully hid behind her cup as she sipped her tea.

"Lego is alright for men to enjoy? What about women? I mean, I know coloring for adults became popular a little over a decade ago so I guess it shouldn't surprise me."

Deadpool has posed:
"Why don't you join me. We can finish them together?" It was more a gesture than he needed help, though he actually probably needed that too. But there was something about doing these mundane things together that was meaningful. He loved her, as much as a person like him was capable of that emotion. He knew he was messed up. But all three of the voices in his head were in love with her. They just each saw different things in her. "You should see the Lego stores they have in the malls now. They even have Lego amusement parks. I've never been. If I'm going to go to those places, it's gotta be Disney or Universal. Why go out for hamburger when you can have a steak next door."

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
Setting her cup on the table, Natasha shifts to untuck her feet. She stands. A moment later and she is sitting down on the floor beside him, tailor style, looking over at the instructions in front of him. "I can try to hand you the parts as you go perhaps?" There was only one voice in her head. That one was in love with the man who called himself Wade Wilson. Sure, it seemed odd to others when they found out. But they didn't see the side of him that she did. The man who was filled with doubts, who was caring and sweet, behind all the crazy. Perhaps if they did, they'd understand. It wasn't like she was a prize herself. She was damaged goods, likely never to balance out all the bad she did with the good these days. Maybe if she lived another 100 years she might.

Deadpool has posed:
"Sounds like a plan," Wade agreed, "okay, I need the Alan key," and together, they'd work. When he was done with a part, he'd hand it back to her, their fingers touching along the way. Next he asked for part F, which she dutifully handed him, and he asked for some connectors. It went along that way, very routine. They quickly assembled another recliner, and began working on the couch. When they were mostly done with that one, he asked for something odd, "next, I need your heart," but he said it so matter of factly, as if it were perfectly normal.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
As they worked, it was very relaxed. It felt right. Good. They worked well together and he was in one of his more serious moods. Well, about as serious as he really got. There was some joking and teasting, playful banter. Mainly it was just the fact they were spending time, something that was a blessing in their lives. Often they were too busy with their own jobs. Her with SHIELD. Him doing merc jobs. She didn't begrudge that, even though she knew that SHIELD might frown on some of those jobs. After her early life, she didn't have a right to judge someone that way.

As he delivered that line, she glanced over at him with a smile. A soft laugh comes from Natasha. "You already have that, baby."

Deadpool has posed:
"Oh, ok, then can I have your body?" He winked at her, but he was dead serious, well, as serious as he got. In fact, and it was one of those curious things, how he managed to do these things, but at that moment, but Ed Sheeran's Shape of You began to play over the stereo system, specifically starting at the point where it goes, "Although my heart is falling too, I'm in love with your body. And last night you were in my room, and now my bed sheets smell like you. Every day discovering something brand new. I'm in love with your body. Oh-I-oh-I-oh-I-oh-I. I'm in love with your body..."
