The Greatest Debate EVAR
Date of Scene: 06 May 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Raven, Amarok

Raven has posed:
he roof of the tower is, most of the time, the most serene place on the island. Tonight- as it is always night when Raven is outside- is for the moment no different. Floating some three feet off of the ground, legs crossed in a way that displays some rather impressive flexibility- doubly so with the fact that she's floating rather than sitting.

Similarly, she is chanting. For once, her hood is down, the moonlight passing through the violet of her hair. Eyes closed, the words that pass her lips certainly aren't spoken at full volume. Less are they even English, though some of the syllables are understandable as letters and sounds that appear in Earthly languages.

Hands out of the pockets of her hoody, but pressed together at the knuckles in her lap, she looks almost... Serene. It's hard to consider that, right now, Raven can feel the emotional state of every living thing on the Eastern Seaboard.

Amarok has posed:
And one of those living beings is rapidly approaching. A discordant ball of rage, sorrow, pain, and regret, ascending the stairwell and pushing open the door, it's physical form revealed through the darkness by a mix of natural moonlight and the glow of it's artificial eyes, which quickly snap to Raven, staring at her like electric daggers for a few silent awkward seconds. And then the wolf evoking man steps forth, head canting about paranoidly as if expecting ambush.

Raven has posed:
Raven is well aware not just of the cocktail of negativity coming up the stairwell, but of its identity, and, as best she can guess, the nature of its cause. There is a moment of steeling- as Raven does not plan on ceasing her meditation.

"Good evening." she greets, in that dreamy, dreary monotone, "You seem to be having a great day."

Amarok has posed:
The Wolf grunts acknowledgingly at Raven, "....I've had worse." He says in his own monotone, a sudden unconscious flare up in his emotional baggage flashing by before returning to it's quiet embering, ".....I hope I'm not interrupting." He says in the same tone, his head tilting slightly to the side in a manner not unlike Jason Voorhese.

Raven has posed:
"Sure you have." her response comes swift and brutal- after all, Dan is talking about his injuries, but Raven is talking about the parts of him that only Raven can see. There's a moment of silence, but after his second comment her response takes just as little time as athe first. "You are interrupting, but it's never stopped anyone before. You came up here for a reason. I don't think it was because you like the way the moon looks."

Amarok has posed:
The Wolf doesn't flinch, nor do his emotions go beyond their standard ebb and flow. Either he doesn't care, or he's not perceptive enough to have noticed the bite of the remark. His head slowly cants off to stare at the moon before slowly whirling it's way back to Raven, "....I've seen better." He dully quips, "....Sorry for intruding....I was going test my breath holding...." He says with a slight gesture to the pool, "....If it's a problem, I can come back another time..."

Raven has posed:
Raven seems rather impassive. The mistress of socialization, clearly, is not going to be outdone in saying very little and having very little to do about the other person present. "I'm sure you have," she repeats, still incapable of believing Dan can appreciate beauty. "Recreational drowning is actually one of the few reasons that pool still exists. I won't stop you from floundering of your own free will."

Amarok has posed:
The Wolf gives a small nod and then walks over to the pool, and steps down into it, quickly submerging entirely. Once at the bottom, he sluggishly takes a meditative position of his own, and ceases moving altogether.

Raven has posed:
Though she hadn't opened her eyes, nor had she stopped floating at that exact elevation, Raven still needs a moment to properly center herself following the Wolf's arrival into the pool. She takes this deep breath, and that is followed by a slow, calming exhale, as she returns to utter serenity.

Amarok has posed:
Silence resumes for a time. Nearly ten minutes in fact. And then, silence, not physically, but spiritually. And not in the 'serenity has been achieved' sort of way. It would seem that in his attempt to test the limits of his lung capacity, the Wolf is now officially drowning....Smooth.

Raven has posed:
Raven is serene, until the sign that a person is present and, well, feeling things turns into that unconscious loveliness that is readable as the dream state- the rapidly shifting emotions that signify a loss of consciousness.

"Well, shit." she states to herself after a moment, extending a shadow carefully until it seems to fall over the side of the pool, and then makes its way down to where Dan happens to be drowning. It won't be pleasant, but luckily he's drowning- seeping into the shadow, unless he has a way of combating it, Dan will re-emerge in the air a few feet behind Raven, a few feet above the roof, and she'll drop him to the surface rather unceremoniously.

Amarok has posed:
The Wolf's body hits the ground with a sloshy thud, water pouring out from the space between the helmet and the body like a faucet. After a few seconds, the body spasms and then kipups, taking a feral defensive position, emotions flailing wildly, none of them positive, but strangely, not the slightest hint of fear. A few moments of ragged gasping and then a sudden sharp whistle of a breath intake causing his entire body to suddenly lock up, followed by a slow exhale and a tightening up of form matching the breath's tempo. Finaly not dying again, the Wolf cants his head over to Raven, the head tilting with confusion again as the sensation takes the forefront of his emotional spectrum, "....What happened?..." He asks in a return to his reserved monotone.

Raven has posed:
Raven is indifferent to the struggles involved in Dan waking back up after drowning himself. "Well," she begins, preparing this particular monologue and letting it rest for half a moment to build the tension. "What happened is, in your effort to overcompensate for what I am certain is a recent loss, you did your best to graduate to the level of a fucking professional, and accidentally drowned yourself. Good job."

Amarok has posed:
The Wolf pauses, his unblinking LED eyes on Raven, "....Your certainty is wrong....I was testing if my lungs were damaged by a recent series of broken ribs....It would seem they were." He says in his unshaking monotone, ".....You asked about my night.....But it would seem you are the one in need of an open ear...." He goes and sits down next to the air Raven floats over, and then goes silent, apparently waiting for her to speak.

Raven has posed:
Raven is not an emotionally vulnerable person- and is the very last being on the planet that needs an open ear- at least, most of the time. This is one of those times, admittedly. "You would be incredibly wrong." she offers in retort. "As for why you're compensating, there are a number of ways for you to determine whether or not your lungs are damaged, and only one of them involves submerging yourself in a pool while ostensibly alone. We have a medical bay. You could slap yourself in the chest. It's either what I'm suggesting, or you're just plain dumb."

Amarok has posed:
"I was stupid for overestimating myself. You would have been right to leave me for dead.....But that is neither here nor there. You are hiding something. Not from me, but from yourself.....If it will help you to overcome it, say whatever you need. Be it an outpouring of fears and doubts or a torrent of barbs and slander. I wont judge you either way." The Wolf's tone is both controlled and firm. As if he hadn't nearly witlessly killed himself mere moments prior.

Raven has posed:
"A shoot and a miss." she states, "I'm not hiding anything from anyone that anyone needs to know. I have secrets, like we all do. You, Robin, the others- but you're confusing privacy for intent. It's cute that you think you know things- even if all you think you know is that there are things to know- but you're misguided. You should probably leave."

Amarok has posed:
The Wolf doesn't move, not even a flinch. It would seem he doesn't believe Raven's insistances.

Raven has posed:
"No, please, continue interrupting my meditation." she states, her eyes opening back up. Her hands come up, and her slender fingers curl into the rim of her hoody, flipping it back up around her head. Moments afterwards, the whole of her body seems into the jet black form of the bird she takes her name from, and unless Dan has a proper way of stopping her, she'll just be gone.

Amarok has posed:
As Raven BAMFs, the Wolf shakes his head in disapproval, quietly remarking to the now empty air, ".....No matter how far or how fast you run....your problems are always going to catch up to you....And it's a cruel world all alone...." A few silent moments more, and he stands up, gives one last look at the moon, and starts on his way back down the steps.
