Synopsis: A couple of Avengers and a Cajun. Games and Jokes!
Cast of Characters: Rogue, Slipstream, Gambit

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had decided to hang out in the game room on her day off from school and just wait to see if the Avengers had need of her today. She'd helped them out over the weekend with a terrorist attack... or was that last week? She doesn't know!

In the present though, the southern belle is standing in front of a foozeball table with a green tanktop on, a white flowing scarf around her neck (because its always good for Rogue to have some extra covering around if needed) and some black gloves on up past her elebows. The 19 year old Avenger's hair is tied back into a ponytail with the snow-white bangs hanging around either sides of her face, a pair of jeans and boots complete her ensemble this afternoon.

"I'd rather watch this played than actual soccer." She says while spinning one of the line of plastic men to kick the ball down the table!

Slipstream has posed:
The last few weeks has seen a change in all the arcade machine scores. All the high scores have been taken up by the name: Dynamite, or Dyn or Dyna, depending on how many characters they allow. Everything from the classics to current, all scores have been defeated and dropped down a few rungs on the ladder.

The newest and rookie Avenger known as Drake, aka Slipstream, aka Dynamite Rave on the Internet and known eSport celebrity is currently at the last machine on the end. It's a game of DDR 3rd Mix and he is stomping away on the arrows quickly as they fly along the screen in a fast, neck break manner. He has one hand behind him on the roll bar as he bobs his body about in quick jerking motions.

"YOU'RE NOT AN ORDINARY FELLA!"

The announcer on the machine roars along with the crowd as the streak on the screen hits about 400 steps and counting. He is dressed in a pair of loose fitted destroyed blue denim, a black Overwatch shirt and a light Twitch hoodie in a purple color with white piping. He is covered in sweat along his face and shirt, his cheeks red as he pants heavily.

Rogue has posed:
t
Rogue had assumed that the kid at the arcade machines would've replied to her, when she spoke out, but apparently he hadn't even realized she'd entered the room. So she turns to face him and her green eyes peer at the back of his head. "You alive, Donkey Kong?" She asks him then as she saunters over to get a closer look at the kid who appears to be around her age somewhere.

Stepping up on Drake's left, Rogue's gloved hands go to rest on the machine next to the one he's on. She looks at his gaming machine first and then looks at his face. "Are you sweatin...?" Rogue asks him. "You feelin' alright?" Rogue didn't care for video games, she liked being outside more than indoors.. she'd grown up that way, no time for games!

Slipstream has posed:
As the arrows continue to soar, Drake's feet stomps away in crazy, memorized patterns as his eyes remain laser focused on the screen ahead of him. Sweat pours down his face as his breathing comes out in ragged but controlled breaths. The sound of the girl's voice causes him to jerk his head over and he misses a step, followed by another as the crowd starts to boo.

"Oh, crap!"

A panic look falls over his face as he tries to get back into rhythm for a few steps, then gives up as he nearly slumps against the roll bar behind him. ".. Aw, man. I was /this/ close to breaking my top score on this one.." He wheezes out, feeling his legs become rubber once the rush drops all at once. Glancing back up at her, he clears his throat. "... Hi. Uh.. Rogue, right?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue looks utterly confused by the entirety of these actions from Drake. She'd heard of him, even seen him around from afar, but she hadn't approached him as of yet. Her eyes go from him when he slumps back... to the machine he just stepped back from and then back to him as he gets her name right.

"You shoulda just hung a sock on the doorknob or somethin' if'n you and this machine wanted some alone time, Cowboy." Rogue says back at him, a huge grin blossiming on her face and her voice laced thick with that Mississippi flavored accent.

She then glances back at the machine when the top scores come up and she sees his score on the screen and points her left gloved finger at it. "Ya mean that one with the eight more digits on it than the last top score?" She glances back at Drake then. "Ya do realize that the people who play these machines, who aren't you... ain't any good at them at all, right? So ya got nothing t'compete over. Cause none'a us can come anywhere near that kinda... numbe'ah."

Slipstream has posed:
A blush rises across Drake's already red cheeks at her words. ".. No. I think she tired me out. I'm good." He says as he leans forward to catch his breath, giving his legs a bit of a rub down to try and move the blood through them. ".. Tony had all the high scores. Even the one on this machine. He just plays it at night when he thinks no one is around to see him. He's actually decent, but I knocked his scores down a long time ago."

Once he straightens up, the pro gamer turns to her, leaning in against the roll bar casually as he can while trying to maintain his balance. "Besides, if you don't strive to beat your best, how can you ever know how high your ceiling of potential is, right? A wise man once said, 'I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.'" Did he just quote the poke'mon theme song? He has an impish grin tugging at his lips, as if trying to contain a smile.

Gambit has posed:
Avenger's Mansion loitering while Rogue is an Avenger has been added to the list of Remy LeBeau hobbies. Not because he's not got a life of his own no, but well, hes embraced it lately that life is just more enriched with the Southern Belle in it.

"You know uh the next time I go to Brooklyn remind me to grab one of them lil scarfs I seen, the one I was tellin' you about next time for Lucifer. He'll look boss in it." Remy's voice projected before him towards the game room and the others, he too is a gamer to a point with amazing dexterity and hand-eye-coordination, scores should he spend the time here, he'll rank. He hasn't /yet/.

"Who this? Bonjour." The brunette with the red-on-black eyes offers, his smile quirked to one side. A simple white shirt with black elbow length sleeves that reads 'live wild' and has an antlered skull on it alongside jeans and flip flops. Casual wear for a casual day.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue shows a smirk at the young man's words and she slowly nods her head at him as though she's pretending to understand them. "I guess." She replies. "I mean, if you're havin' fun then thats what matters, right?" She doesn't wanna just trash talk the guy's hobbie for no reason, afterall she probably does a ton of things he wouldn't understand either!

"But yeah. I'm Rogue." She says back at him, smiling and offering a gloved hand. "Or Marie, whichever ya like most. People seem to like the first one more." She grins a little before her eyes look over to the doorway where Remy enters, her Man Friend!

"Heya." Rogue says at him with a bit of a sauceyness in her voice. She then looks to Drake. "Junior Avenger, right?" She asks him. "Drake, was it?" She only remembers that cause it was Bobby's last name at the school.

Slipstream has posed:
Reaching out to take her hand, Drake gives it a squeeze for a moment before he lets it go. "I can call you Marie if you want. Sounds less Dungeon and Dragons, and I always heard this joke that Rogues like it do it from behind, so if I call you Marie, it'll help with me not snickering quietly to myself." He gives her a lopsided grin, then turns his head over towards Remy. He lifts his hand up to him as well. "Err.. Bonjour, dude. Uh.. Yah. I'm Drake. I go by Slipstream also.. or Dynamite. Whatever you guys want. I don't know if I'm a 'Junior Avenger' or just a pet. But I'm in training to make sure my powers are .. um... you know.. stable..."

Gambit has posed:
"Junior Avenger? Dat a thing?" Remy teases as he leans against a pinball machine with his hip. "Like uh cub scouts?" Joking of course its apparent by his large smile. One that only fades at the comment about rogues and the rear. "Classy, mon ami." The Cajun remarks.

"That too many names, you pick one I call you it or I'll make a new one for you since you be collecting."

"A what?"

"Remy LeBeau, nice to meet you."

"Not an Avenger anything. Maybe friend."

Rogue has posed:
This might break his heart to hear from the girl, but Rogue can't help herself but shake her head from side to side. "Dungeons and What?" She asks. She raises her eyes up high above her green eyes. "Do it from behind? Look... I don't know what kinda weird kinky sex cults you're in to... But..." She flashes a grin and glances over to Remy. "No, not like the scouts! I was a Junior Avenger too... for like a WEEK."

Rogue steps away from the game machines then and moves toward the kitchen area in the game room. "Once the team saw how badass I am though, they made me full member. Like -that-!" She tries to snap her fingers, but wearing gloves makes tha tkind of challenging, so its more just fabric brushing fabric.

Slipstream has posed:
".. No, it's.. a joke.. because Rogues in Dungeon and Dragons are sneaky and they kill people from behind. So.. it's a joke, they like to do it.. from behind.." Drake trails off for a moment, then sighs to himself. ".. Sometimes I forget that I'm the only one who's a nerd here." He gives a wave of his hand. "Dungeon and Dragons is a RPG. You know..dice and character sheets? Rogue is a class of hero." He wrinkles his nose, then flops down on to a couch. "Just call me Drake." He sighs out.

Gambit has posed:
"Dat been used on her before. She just playin' dumb. Dun be fooled." Remy warns.
"Junior Avenger an' you, feel a bit weird now."

"Drake, easy on to remember." The lift up of one leg and he is not just against the pinball machine but now seated upon it, half-way. He's lithe and well balanced. No undo harm to the game itself.

"You a gamer, huh? I fancy myself a bit o' one of them too. Maybe you up for a challenge one of these nights."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just gets herself a bottle of tea out of the drink cabinet and then she turns around to the counter and stares at the both of them with a big grin on her lips after Remy calls her out for playing dumb. "Maybe I am, maybe I ain't." She responds to the Cajun with a playfulness thick on her tone and mannerisms. "Obviously I need a shirt with that sayin' on it though. Right across the chest." She draws a line across her bust-line with a gloved finger before she just grins at the two of them and goes to twist the cap off of her tea.

After a sip She leans down onto her elbows on the counter top. "So people still play games with dice'n stuff?" She asks, her eyes going from one guy to the other. "I'd be up for that kinda gamin'. Seems like it could be fun with some alcoholic beverages to liven' it up some."

Slipstream has posed:
".. I can get you that shirt. I have one in my closet. I haven't wore it in a few years because uh... I'm totally not .. a nerd anymore. I'm a geek now." Drake assures as he gives a nod of his head. "But um... sure, if you guys want.. my buddy Zapp who's on my Overwatch team is a pretty good DM. He'll run a campaign if you want."

He sinks down into the chair a bit, then grins at Remy. "Yeah, I'm a gamer. Team Captain for Team Static for the Overwatch League, representing New York, and also Team Captain for USA. Representing the country. First time ever the US beat the Koreans in all three stages. I'm a top five hit scan player in the North America. Before that I was a pro Call of Duty player. But I also love the classics." He motions to the arcade machines. "Gotta give respect to those who came before us."

Gambit has posed:
"I didn't mean that kinda game but, why not. Somethin' new never hurt anybody." Remy lifts his arms up and folds them over his chest, a headshake given Rogue and her flirtations. "Lotsa names and big titles, I really need to start workin' on some new schticks at this rate. You Avengers, senior and junior making me feel subpar and more self-aware den I like being."

A sidelong look at another game, already the Cajun is distracted. Maybe he is less of a gamer than he has claimed or hes just the restless sort.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just flashes a grin at Drake and nods once. "I'd be happy t'take that shirt off'a your hands. It might be a bit on-the-nose, but hey, imagine how my Twitter feed would react if I wore it for'em." She grins some more, making it obvious she's enjoying her new public fame more than she ever thought she would, or says she does still.

Another sip of her tea is had and her head shakes side to side with those white bangs framing her face gently swaying against the deadly skin of her cheeks and jawline. "I didn't understand a word'a any'a that, Mister Drake. But it all sounds very important and pretty cool. So I hope its fun and not like, ya know... stressful."

Her own eyes glance to the game machines and she clucks her tongue inside of her mouth then adds on. "Miss Pacman, thats my favorite video game."

Slipstream has posed:
"You got a twitter feed?" Drake says as he blinks his eyes at her. "If you want, I can always give you a plug. My stream hosts about fifty thousand people at a time." He gives her a grin. "You'd get a shit ton of followers that way. I set up a stream for Dazzler and shot her new album all over the world after her label let her go. She raked in some serious cash from it."

He gives a glance over at the two of them. "So, you two a couple?"

Gambit has posed:
"She a tweety bird like the rest." Remy says, teasing. "Chirp chirp, look at me now, so important, chirp Avengertime chirp." He actually lifts his hands up next to his head and flaps his fingers.

"We uh, what are we, huh? She my ex-fiance and now we kinda a work in progress. It messy and maybe best not to stick one's head, if they know what good for it, inside and out." The thief winks then looks to Rogue.
"What you say, chere? What are we? Other than amazing lookin' and a ton uh fun."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue has to laugh softly and shake her head. "I got twenty thousand followers right now. I don't know if I wanna go up another zero or not... Its already pretty crazy having a hundred replies to anything that I do tweet out." And then her eyes go to Remy who's doing that bird-thing and she just grins at him before picking up a package of chopsticks out of the container on the counter and throw them at him! "Quiet you. You're just jealous!" And her chin goes up all defiantly at him before she's answering the question about what she and Remy 'are'.

She looks to Drake then after Remy's response to it. "Its complicated. Since I can't touch folks, not many really wanna be around me like that. Ya know? Twitter is all fine and dandy cause its make-believe. But when it comes t'reality? Who really wants t'say that their girlfriend is a mutant that sucks the life outta them if they touch her skin?"

She looks down at her tea bottle and slowly shakes her head. "So Remy and I are workin' t'gether right now, and just havin' fun along the way. I'd say."

Slipstream has posed:
".. I mean... sounds like to me you're the perfect girlfriend. I pretty much live on the Internet so it's not like I can touch a girl anyways, not that most want to... I'm a dork." Drake says with a smirk as his shoulders shrug upwards. "Last two girlfriends I had both kinda found other guys to .. ah .. play games with.. that weren't on a keyboard." He leans back in the couch, staring upwards at the ceiling. His hands slip his phone out of his pocket to stare at it. "I'm over a million followers now on Twitch and about five hundred thousand on Twitter. I don't even bother with updates or alerts. I turn them all off. I just only engage with my stream because I'm live an in the moment. When I turn it off, I try and turn it all off."

Gambit has posed:
"Hey now!" Remy says catching both chopsticks with an almost karate chop like slap at the air, twirling them in his fingers o aim at her, "Go an arm me up, we see about you gettin' a spankin' girl." A chuckle and he stops, hearing Drake carry on and Rogue's explanation.

"She ain't available. Perfect or no, work in progress my nice way o' sayin this." Though he looks sidelong at Rogue, "Jus' workin' together and having fun. Dat all, it been for you, chere?" He taps a chopstick in to the center of his chest, over the eye of the horned skull. "Right there, that another one. Maybe I need to call Jean back since it just some fun." Now hes the one teasing again, though, hes also got some serious in there and shes known him long enough to realize this. The carry on of Drake's past girls and gaming stuff in one ear and out the other. This kinda stuff not such an interest for the master thief.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue exhales and shakes her head when Drake talks about all his followers. "Geezus." She says quietly in disbelief. "Thats nuts. And you're like... with the Avengers now?" She asks him then. "Why, if I might ask? I mean, you're a pro gamer and you're on Twitch, where people get paid t'play games, right? So what the heck are you doin' with the Avengers?"

And while asking this, Rogue is walking over toward Remy and she's reaching out to put one of her arms around his waist and to lay her head gently against his covered right shoulder. "Awww, sugah. Its been so much more than that. And if ya tease me about bonin' Jean more, I'mma find out if your knee caps make good teacup saucers!" And then she looks up at him and grins all big.

Slipstream has posed:
"Yeah, I make like two hundred thousand a year playing video games." Drake laughs with some amusement as he shrugs his shoulders upwards. "But, I'm with the Avengers because of my powers." He holds up his left hand to show them the thick bracelet with the LED's flashing different colors. "I got powers of kinda boosty speed, except when I use them they kill me, so this thing here keeps them from... literally ripping my body apart. It feels like I got meathooks in me, yanking me all about. My body is stuck between timelines after I was kidnapped by some jackass named Glorith and she trapped me in a time prison to use as bait for the Legion of Superheroes. After they rescued me, my body decided to go bonkers. So, the Avengers are trying to help save my life and also help train me to use my powers."

Gambit has posed:
"Maybe I in the wrong buisness from sounds." Though for the mutant cardshark it's not about the money, its the thrill and the lifestyle, a family tradition one could say also.

When Rogue reaches for Remy he gives her a jab in the side with a chopstick then another, yet he relents to the headlay.
"I'm only jokin' on all fronts, Jeanie too classy for the likes of me. You though, you like the bad boys."

An inward wince at the kneecap threat, "You like my skinny knees too much to do that." He sounds questionative in his defensive words, one hand sliding down to give her hip a pat. Over clothes. He's not suicidal.

"The Avengers where you go wit this stuff, Drake, homme? That a lot to work wit. I hope they can help you. They got some real smart folks here though... maybe some too smart."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had definitely batted the chopsticks away from poking at her, not that it'd hurt her, but they were annoying all the same. "Immediately regret givin' ya those." She says to the Cajun with a big grin before she looks over to Drake.

"Two hundred thousahd?!" She says at him. "Holy. Shit. You're paid that much just to... play video games?" Rogue's right hand comes up and she places it against the side of her face, then looks over to Remy again, a look of disbelief on her pretty face.

She glides her eyes back over to Drake. "I mean, I'm glad for ya. Really. I just... Christ." Rogue draws in a breath, apparently more taken by this then his power set? Of course, Rogue's been immersed in people with wild powers for a long time now. Like five years! (Its a long time to her).

"I... hope you're gettin' the help ya need here, and if ya need any that me and the Swamp Rat here can offer, just let us know." She adds, in a kind of grim tone of voice.

Slipstream has posed:
"Yeah, about two hundred k a year. Sometimes more depending on winnings that I get from the tournaments. World Cup is huge. Overwatch League is bigger. We get a hundred k a year if we win it all, which we did this year, so that was a big boost. Then I get donations and subs for my streams." Drake says as he nods his head, logging into his phone, then pulls up some numbers. "Yeah, I hit about .. hundred and eighty thousand last year, and this year I'm on track to beat that if my sub count stays up."

Tapping away at his phone a few times, he says, "Yeah, thanks guys, for the support. I mean, the powers are cool.. I can speed about really fast, in a blink. But when I push myself too hard, I hurt myself. It's pretty nasty." He taps a few more times on his phone, then says, "Rogue, what's your twitter handle?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy low whistles at the amount also. "You got more money then you likely gonna know what to do with. I'll keep you in mind when I need a loan."

Remy spins the drumsticks between his fingers and begins to 'taptaptaptap' them in a beat against Rogue's shoulders before they find the top of the nearest arcade.

"It always is at first, these gifts. You talkin' to the choir on that one, especially poor Rogue 'ere. Her power up an hurt more than enough than jus' her." Realizing his words Remy slides the sticks aside and gives her a light squeeze around the shoulders with one black sleeved arm before turning his attention behind him to a set of joysticks and buttons.
The man's back to them he is still listening as the arcade fires up. Time to beat some scores or break a vintage machine.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had heard about this Twitch stuff here and there in her life, its been around for almost two decades now. But she didn't grow up on a computer, she barely even knows how to work her laptop. "Well, yeah... thats, double what I make here with the Avengers." She smirks then softly and glances at Remy.

His works make her show a frown. "Thanks for remindin' me." She mutters at him then, her tea bottle being set aside as she walks back to the counter and pulls her phone out. She calls up her twitter account and then holds the phone out for Drake. "RoguePotato is my private account. My Public account is RogueVenger now. Its the one with all the follows I've amassed since joinin' up." She smiles faintly then and glances back to Remy.

"No jokes." She warns him, knowing full well that he's thinking about some when he heard her twitter names.

Slipstream has posed:
"Cool, I followed both of your accounts, but I gave your public one a plug. Sorry for the blow up, I already got two hundred retweets." Drake says as he taps at his phone again casually. "But let me know if you need help on a youtube situation and I can build you some really cool overlays or widgets or whatever if you want to put out your own content." He pushes up to his feet and gives a stretch of his body. "You guys .. wanna hang out tomorrow and do dinner or something? I'd like to make some new friends."

Gambit has posed:
"RogueHotPotato woulda been more fun. Its got layers, like an onion." Remy regards as he slams the joystics around, buttons being mashed quickly.
"Your other one sound like a car that got disconnected." Jokes, they happen, ribs, barbs, jabs. Its part and parcel.

"Dat cool wit me, mon ami. If we around. Maybe I even do the cookin' and we have some good real Southern food, not whatever she think she can cook."

"No promises though, like I say, if we aroun'."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue grins at Drake and softly shakes her head side to side. She turns her phone back around and puts it in a pockt on her her jeans on the front of her right thigh. "I'll check it later t'night, see what all has gone down... And t'me, it sounds like ya got quite a lotta friends already." She picks up her tea bottle then and glances over at Remy, she blows him a kiss as she makes for the door of the Game Room, cause its Rogue. She's always on the move! "I already get Star Wars jokes and Nissan jokes, about my name. But whateve'ah... I'm the one who wears it best."

Rogue waves to Drake on her way out. "We should try'n get some the other Nerdvengers t'come along, if they're around themselves!" And with that the southern girl is heading for the hallway.

Slipstream has posed:
"I'm definitely the most loneliest person on the Internet. I have fans because they like my gameplay. If I sucked, they'd all leave. They don't really .. care about me, I don't think. The thing about streaming is you are a trend. If that trend gets boring, they move on. I gotta act like a clown sometimes and pretend to be this smart mouthed hot shot, when really in the real world I'm sorta... this." Drake makes a motion of his hand about him with a grin. "I wish I was as cool in the real world as I am online. It's easier talking to a chat room and bantering than it is in person. Oh! Also, Rogue, you're on my paint ball team. Tony and I kinda .. did a thing this morning when talking about his birthday. We both captained up and we chose members to represent our teams. I got Logan, War Machine, Falcon, you and me. He has Vision, Carol, Cap and .. I think he's sitting on his last pick right now, but he definitely is not picking Thor or Bruce. He mentioned maybe Quicksilver. No powers by the way. He's gonna fund the whole thing."

Gambit has posed:
Remy takes a pause long enough to watch Rogue leave and give Drake one glance befoe hes buried in that game in front of him. "One more and I'll hunt you down." One more likely to end up one more and another and another until he is one mored hours later...
