Lara Croft has posed:
SHIELD operates a recruitment center inside the World Trade mall beneath the shining tower in lower Manhattan. It rests on the bottom of the 2-story mall and sits at a corner along one of the hallways. Its glass walls allow people walking the mall to look inside and see the SHIELD employees who are stationed inside helping visitors or recruits looking to toss their names into the hat of world defense!

Lara Croft pulled duty here today. It happened now and then, they'd send her an e-amil and tell her that she needed to report here for the day to help sign people up... it didn't help that she was really good at it and often got the inked signatures of every young man who happened to get her as their Recruitment Officer.

So here she is today, wearing her light duty SHIELD jacket over a black dress shirt beneath and some nice slacks and shoes. She looks almost like a military officer, dressed like this.

Lara is moving from her desk along one of the glass walls toward the central desk in the office's large open room, there's a waiting area filled with young people all staring at their phones waiting their turns. Lara's moving to gather up whomever is next in her queue.

Savage Dragon has posed:
Not quite young and definitely standing out like a sore thumb, a very big green one crammed in to a nice button up shirt of white, slacks, dress shoes the Krylan sits wit his hands clenched together between his knees. He tries to make room for thos near him but each of them get to keep a large elbow company.

Relief for the slender man to his left comes when Dragon reaches his finger up and hooks it at his throat, loosing his black tie just enough to assist in breathing. He was encouraged to make this attempt. Forward progress instead of staying a ground pounding grunt. It has been a long time since the man has ever found himself nervous at anything.

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara has a brief conversation with the middle aged woman behind the desk who's wearing a SHIELD casual uniform. They exchanged some papers and then Lara turns and looks up to the waiting souls all hoping to hear their name.

"Mister, Dragon?" Lara calls out, almost sounding a bit confused. But her eyes wander over the mostly teenagers and they fall upon the one that sticks out the most. Its not profiling to assume that the one named Dragon is the one who kind of looks like the child of Daenerys Targaryen and one of her pets.

When/of he stands up, Lara would motion him over and then offer him her right hand to shake and a big smile. "Hello." She says to the large man, who definitely LOOKS physical able to be a SHIELD Agent, but was he mentally sound?

Savage Dragon has posed:
The man stands and both fellwos beside him openly breath with relief. The quick stride from where he was sitting to Lara is done in several steps, that extended hand of hers taken up and disappearing in his grasp. "Hello, Agent... uh." A once over, a badge sought but he politely doesn't stare too much instead a white toothed grin appears.

"Pleased to meet you." Straight backed, keeps his chin high, very hygenic, clothing is sharp and pressed. He smells of Versace. Evident he means business here and aims to make a good impression. The alien former cop lets her lead the way. "I forwarded my paperwork the other day. It should be up to date."

Lara Croft has posed:
"Lara, Croft." Responds the SHIELD Agent in a thick London accent. She offers him a smile and lowers her hand after the shake, glancing her eyes toward the folder she has on him and then nods her head. "I believe it is." She says, then motions him to follow her.

Lara's assigned cubical/desk area is just a few steps away behind a roped-off area and she moves around it seat herself, two other chairs are in front of the desk.

Once seated, his paperwork is set down and she takes a second to type something into a laptop on the desk. "Mister Dragon... hope you didn't have to wait long. It gets -very busy- here this time of year, with school letting out and all the young ones looking to find a direction for themselves going forward."

Savage Dragon has posed:
"Lara Croft." Dragon repeats as if memorizing it. He gazes left and right with emerald eyes, lit up right now with an eagerness, this is something new to him. He is of course on the side of excited.

The chair opposite being taken, carefully he sits in to it. Mindful of his abdnormal density as the chair groans under his weight, as long as he doesn't wheel about in it or hop it won't bust under him. A hesitant grin tossed to her again once he is fully seated.
"No, it wasn't a long wait." He is being polite there. It was a while.
"SHIELD outside of joining the Marines is probably one of the best ways to get out of the country and see the world, I can imagine... "
"You don't move around here like you're used to it." Showing off a bit of his own attention to detail, he has been a cop for a long time after all.

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara is glancing over Savage's file while listening to his words and she summons up a faint smile at the latter part there. "You're perceptive." She says in a soft voice, her brown eyes glancing over to his face then. "I haven't been here in... six months. I got a message late last night saying it was my turn in the rotation today." She shows a hint of a grin. "Its fine, its a change of pace from the usual, which is why I think they have us here in rotational patterns."

Lara then draws in a breath and continues to stare at the man, paused for a second or three. "Is that your goal then? To see the world? Less interested in New York and all of its near constant dramatics?"

Savage Dragon has posed:
"Wait, Lara Croft." Dragon cannot help it but those white sharp teeth are showing in rows. A large smile of curved lips. "You're her aren't you? The 'Tomb Raider'."

"Sorry, that might have been out of place. I didn't mean to interrupt you."
"I heard that was about a real person, I didn't realize... " A lift of his chin at her then he stops, going for serious. He cannot wait to tell April about this, maybe he should ask for an autograph.

"Uh, no. I've seen enough of the world and beyond. I'm bored and I realize I've met the end of my rope with the police force... I'm not being fully utilized. I'm an asset that SHIELD can use, I'm loyal, dedicated and a patriot. Not just of America but this world, this planet. I am wasting my talents just being a beat cop. I've done a lot of good training metahuman task forces, swat, everything but it doesn't feel enough it's time I step up."
The chair creaks under him and he puts one hand on her desk as if prepared to be dropped out of it but his green eyes are intent on her features. Serious now it stops and he starts to smile just a little, like his stoic breaks. "I... just can't get over it that you're 'the' Lara Croft, damn, unprofessional of me. Bit of a movie buff." He LEARNED humanity off TV after all.

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara smiles at the realization of who she is at first and she simply nods her head to him. "Yes, thats right. It uh, has been an interesting few months for me, to say the least. Several years ago I signed a book deal, I just neglected to realize that it could include a potential option for a film script. I guess they took that option and ran with it..." There's a clear since of displeasure in her voice. Since her film wasn't a huge success she had haped it would bleed away and be forgotten though which was a bit of a positive for her, but it'll probably take time!

At the more serious bit of his words, Lara gently nods her head and lets the smile fade away. "That is good then, SHIELD's goal is protecting the entirity of the globe, afterall. It says here that you work as a Police Officer in Bushwick... Mutant Town... Things have been rather awful there since the President's assassination... Is this related to why you want 'out' of that area?" Its probably been awful far longer than that, but still.

Savage Dragon has posed:
"So... you're sort of trademarked and it is not by yourself? Harsh. I hope you get some royalties." He quick changes the subject hearing the tone of her voice.
Dragon looks at the front of her desk, underneath his hand and then back at her, "No. I transferred to Bushwick, District X for those reasons. I am no stranger to urban chaos, I lead a team that took down the Freakforce in Chicago, I cleaned that city up almost single handedly. I've been through the shit. I'm frankly tired of it... and I lost someone special to me, again, through SHIELD I have better chances of finding her again. If anything, shed be proud I am doing more than just settling in Bushwick knocking in heads."

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara just shows a slight grin and a shake of her head. "They changed events, and the names of other people involved, or excluded them all together for legal purposes... so much so that I'm not even sure why they kept my name even attached to it. I wish they hadn't, but, whats done is done." She still has flashes of that first expedition she went on, it still haunts her, fuels her forward in what she does today.

A soft nod of her head follows his rundown of his own experiences. "You seem like a brave and capable man, Mister Dragon." She tells him, flashing a quick smile before she looks back to her laptop and then turns to open a drawer on her right side by her hip. She pulls out a dark blue glossy folder with a shield logo in the center of its cover. She slides it over to him.

"If you can take this home and read through it, sign on all the appropriate places and then either slip it into a folder and mail it or return it here... we can get your name in the system and hopefully have you into a training seminar soon."

There really is any question that he's qualified based on his records here in front of her, its not like that gaggle of nose-picking teenagers sitting in the waiting room on their phones behind Dragon.

Savage Dragon has posed:
"Gladly." Dragon says taking the folder and flipping it open for a curious once over, not that he reads anything, he'll do that later. It is then held on his lap.

"I cannot express how eager I am for this. I'll make sure you look good... " He chuckles and has to fight it, then just cannot, "I'l represent you much better than your movie." An intake of breath and he recline back enough as if he was waiting somes sort of return comment but it is not intended to be over dramatic, at least not until the chair underneath him snaps under his bulk. The twisting of metal and the pop of plastic almost like a mini-gunshot as he lands smack on to his back.

WHUD
"Shit." He mumbles. From her vantage all she can see is an empty space where he just was and then a fin. Like some shark rising to the surface in stalking it's prey. "I'll pay for that. My bad."

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara is typing some stuff up on her laptop and smiling at his words when the chair snaps and out of the corner of her eye, where there had been a Dragon (who she assumes is a mutant), there now was no Dragon.

Lara pauses her typing to look up and over to where he had been. She can see some of the teens in the waiting area snickering and a few of them taking photos of the large green man with the big fin on his head, now laying on his back.

Quick to rise from her chair, Croft makes her way around the desk to offer some help to the big guy. "Oh my." She mutters. "You're okay?" She asks him then, he's huge, she'd be surprised if that did hurt him, but you never know, maybe his mutation is butt frailty?

Lara offers him her hands to help him up off of the ground. "Can you stand?" She asks out of reflex and care.

Savage Dragon has posed:
The chair is destroyed. He lets out a grunt and takes Lara's hand allowing her enough tension to aid him upright, dusting himself off he lets bits and pieces hit the ground.
"Yeah, no harm except my pride." At least he kept the folder gripped tightly. The snickering outside is ignored.
"Take a lot more than being a clumsy jackass to hurt m... pardon the language, ma'am."

There is a pause then hes collecting up the remnants of chair bits and tossing them in to her waistbin, breaking them in to smaller pieces so they all fit. Less resistance than popsicle sticks would give someone like Lara Croft. This likely shuts up a lot of the additional heckling from outside.

"Anyways, I won't take up more of your time. You got a line of applicants and I need to get back before my girlfriend gets home. Uh... one more question."
He reaches back in to his wallet and pulls out a movie stub, there is a wad of them. "Will you sign .... " Thumb. Thumb. And then he stops shoving one out for HER movie. " This one?"

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara watches the man as he crunches the remainder of the chair after she helped him up. A couple of other Agents have stepped over to see what had happened, but they could tell it was just some kind of an accident and they're soon to return to their own desks, though one of the Dude-Bro-type agents who'd been flirting with Lara all day was just standing there with his hands in his pockets and grinning like a fool while watching.

When the ticket stub is produced, Lara looks mildly shocked by this but she stammers out a "Oh, yes of course." And steps to her desk to grab a pen out of a SHIELD Coffee Cup that had lots of them in it. She turns back to him, takes the stub and elegantly writes up on it her signature and a swirl beneath it... There wasn't a lot of space for any sort of clever message afterall.

Lara offers it back and smiles at him. "Good to have met you, Mister Dragon.

Savage Dragon has posed:
"You as well Agent Croft. I'll get out of your hair now and I'll mail you a check for the chair." A clearing of his throat and the man turns around, stepping past those operatives with a nod, already beginning to fire a text message off. Gloating. -Guess who I just met?-
