Cast of Characters: Wolverine, Echo

Wolverine has posed:
Today was like any other day. Logan was at the bar, in his trusty hidey-hole at Harry's. Logan was sitting at the bar, with his cowboy hat covering his face, his leather jacket on, and his right hand on a beer mug. The left hand was tapping the counter, while in his mouth was a cigar. Freshly lit. Harry was behind the bar, shaking his head, and watching the ball game on across the room. Red Sox were up on the Yankees, 3-2 in the 7th.

"Why do you watch that baseball crap, when there's hockey on?" Logan grumbles, through the cigar, the smoke, and the pretty much empty bar. Logan looks up, sniffs, and shakes his head. "Americans."

Echo has posed:
Walking into the bar, Maya looks up into the dim light from above and then glances at a person next to her, as if seeing them for the first time, even though they're really laughing hard and carrying on. Shuffling past, Maya walks up to the wooden bar and puts her hands down on top. She is wearing her power mini-skirt and seems apprehensive about standing there next to a couple of drunks and a lady with an even shorter skirt. Maybe she's a sports fan or a rabid sports bar hopper. Maybe not. Maya glances up at the bar television and watches the pitcher throw a fastball to one of the batter guys at the plate thing. She smiles amusedly as they flash that the pitch was a strike. How helpful. She glances at Logan as he mumbles something, maybe catching it, maybe not. Hard to tell.

Wolverine has posed:
Logan looks sideways for a moment with an appraising air at the new arrival, and then takes a drink of his mug of beer after putting his cigar in the tray. With s sniff, Logan says, "First ones on me." Was that to Harry or to Maya. "What'l ya have?" Logan says, staring straight ahead. He puts the mug back on the counter, and adds, "Harry's gotta nice selection o' Canadian imports, iff'n yer interested." Logan smiles. "Welcome ta' Harry's."

Echo has posed:
Maya Lopez looks past the drunk guy and smiles at Logan, taking it as if he was talkign to her, "I think I've been in here before," she states slowly, mischeviously insinuating that maybe he hasn't noticed, "I'll have a gin and tonic," she tells the bartender, "Imports? No that's alright," she acknowledges his offer. She glacnes over the dull looking bottles and glances back at Logan to catch what he's saying next. Hopefully he won't think she's staring at him.

Wolverine has posed:
"Maybe." Logan says, taking another drink. "I've heard that a lot actually. Cookie cutter bar." Logan nods, as Harry pours Maya a gin and tonic. Not looking back at her, and her look at him, Logan puts the mug down, and while staring at the front of the bar, he says, "Yer tryin' ta' figure out iff'n you've seen me before, ain't ya?" Logan smiles, and picks up his cigar, taking a deep inhale, and then a soft, slow exhale. "I've bee around a' bit, here'n there." He looks sideays at her, and says, "It's okay. A lot o' people say they know me." Logan shrugs. "Ah've been around. Here and there."

Echo has posed:
Maya Lopez might need a translator, because she gives the generic, "Yeah," response, after not catching all of what Logan said to her. "Call me Maya," she tells Logan, "You know, I pass by on my way back from dance every time and I never stop," she tells him, "Guess I was ambitious today."

Wolverine has posed:
"Ah." Logan nods, and says, "Maybe it's just my paranoia then. I always feel like someone is tryin' ta' find me." Logan finishes off his brew, and sniffs again. With a frown, he eyes Maya for a second, and says, "Are you sure ah' don't know ya? You seem familiar somehow." Shrugging, Logan says, "Nevermind. Probably better I don't know." Logan points to his glass, and grumbles something at Harry, who fills up a fresh mug, takes the old one, and drops the new one off after giving Logan a look. "Dancer huh? Good line a' work. I know a few dancers..." Logan let that hang."

Echo has posed:
Maya Lopez fingers her glass of gin and tonic and then has a deep sip, cause she's obviously not a shy drinker. She smiles and nods to what Logan is saying, following along this time, "Oh really," she says amusedly, probably getting the idea about what he means. "Well I think I would have remembered you," she tells him, "Do you work in the city? Manhattan maybe? Let me guess, you fix cars?" she asks him.

Wolverine has posed:
Logan snorts, shakes his head, and says, "Naw. Motorcycles maybe, but not cars. I fix a lot a' things darlin'. Cars ain't one of them." He lips his cigar again, takes a biref drag, and puffs out slowly and absently. "You say you walk by a lot? You should drop in more often. Harry needs the company. Plus, as an added bonus, ah'm here a lot." Logan smiles, charm is not his smart suit, however.

Echo has posed:
Maya Lopez hrms unconvincingly, "He does eh? Well we wouldn't want him to be lonely," she wonders amusedly, glances at him at the end of the bar, although the absentness and lack of charm probably doesn't carry as she tries to read his lips and interpret what Logan means. "My father had a...chopper actually. It hurt my ears," she chuckles at the thought, "I was just a little girl though," she tells him, "Okay, so what do you do then?"

Wolverine has posed:
"Nope. Wouldn't want that." Logan smiles. "Logan inhales the cigar absently. "Yeah. Chopper's...make a lotta noise." He shrugs, and taps the cigar on the side of the ashtray, before leaving it there, and picking up the mug. "I'm kind of in pest control. You need someone...or something taken care of, and I take care of it." Logan takes a deep pull of the pale ale, and sighs. "Good stuff..." Looking sideways at Maya he says, "No worries. I'm pretty easy going." Ignoring the guffaw out of Harry, as he heads towards the far end of the bar, Logan fires a dirty look Harry's way, and then looks back at Maya. "Ignore him."

Echo has posed:
Maya Lopez didn't catch Harry laughing at Logan because she wasn't looking at him and she looks confused for a second until she sees Harry and Logan exchanging dirty looks, "Okay. What? Animal control? Well I don't think my place has...bugs," she says, considering how stupid she sounds, so she takes a drink, draining her glass like a pro, "Easy going? I couldn't tell," she chuckles, "Nice to meet you. Thanks for the drink."
