A Talk in the Park
Date of Scene: 16 May 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: A picnic in the park with her father turns from one conversation to the sudden and awkward realization that she has two grown boys... and everyone, including herself, wants answers.
Cast of Characters: Scarlet Witch, Magneto, Speed, Wiccan

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Things between Wanda and Nolan were becoming rather more serious. And while Wanda really didn't want to precipitate 'The Talk', she knew it was inevitable - if only because her father had already asked if he *should* be giving Wanda's mysterious young man a talking to (with the implied putting the fear of god into him to boot). All to say that Wanda felt it best if she broached the subject with her father before he took it upon himself and did something they might all regret.

To wit: she'd invited her father to the park for a picnic under the cherry trees.

Springtime in all her splendor had hit Central Park, and the trees were all in bloom. The tree Wanda has chosen to sit beneath is heavily laden with blossoms, their scent carrying on the air; petals threatening with every brush of wind to come loose and flutter and fall to the ground like so much confetti. Only somehow, some way, they remained on the tree, quivering delicately. Wanda sits underneath this arbour of blossoms, upon a comfy old blanket, with a basket of goodies beside her, waiting for her father to show up.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto approached, from the skies as was his usual custom. He had the Genoshan Embassy let the authorities know the monarch was going to be flying to Central Park, to visit with the Princess. He wasn't dressed for battle, much more dressed for a casual visit, a business suit, red tie, black shirt, with the Genoshan seal on the lapel.

As Erik lowered to the ground, he began to step to the blossoming tree. He stops for one moment as he approached, watching Wanda and the tree. He smiled, something unusual for him. After a short moment, he joined Wanda. "Darling, you look magnificent."

Speed has posed:
Central Park was one of Tommy's favourite place to think. And even a couple of weeks on Emma's words had given him a lot to think on. What would he be if he could be anything? What sort of question was that? It was just cruel. The world didn't work that way, people couldn't just be what they wanted, there were people who made sure of that. The same sort of people who'd locked him up and made him a guinea pig.

Strolling along a random path, he finds himself in the cherry trees, walking a 'normal' pace along with the rest of the snails, he has his hands stuffed in the pockets of his designer jeans his green button-down shirt tugged by the light spring breeze. He still manages to stand out though, what with the silver-white hair, like he was ripped from the pages of Game of Thrones or something.

However, speaking of standing out, he doesn't fail to meet Magneto's entrance. He stops mid stride and lifts the yellow tinted shades off his eyes to gawk openly. No, that couldn't be, but then there's the red-headed woman with him. Could that be. He'd seen picture of the Scarlet Witch, but most of them were in her Avengers get up, so it was hard to place her in street clothes. Even weirder to think Magneto had literally just dropped out of the sky infront of him.

"Chill Tommy," he tells himself. "Don't be a creeper, just give it a sec, maybe you're wrong." He tells himself.

He doesn't stop gawking though.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda's features lighten and brighten when her beloved Papa arrives - even if his mode of arrival is a tiny bit ostentatious and obvious. However, it's spring. The trees are blooming. Flowers abound everywhere. And she's in love. Wanda has no reason to settle on the scold that almost reaches her lips.

"Papa." Her words carry warmth and fondness as she looks to him. "You did come. And look! I did bring us a picnic. I did think the park would be lovely this time of year, and it is. This tree.." Wanda smiles up at it, reaching for a branch and cupping leaves and blossoms with delicate fingers. "She was fairly crying out for me to sit with her, and see? We can see down nearly to the water from here. Only better."

Well, today it's better. Another day she might prefer the waterfront. Central Park's pond had its own appeal.

"You will come join with me?" Her lips bow over a mischevous smile, green eyes twinkling. "Shhhh, I have a secret in the basket. Only you must pretend it is only juice we share, yes? I did think you would like this better, though."

Magneto has posed:
Magneto keeps his smile, approaching Wanda and giving her an embrace. "Of course, I had business I needed to finish at the embassy anyway." He nods as she asks if he will join her, taking off his jacket, and placing it with care on the blanket. "Oh dear, my daughter suggesting we imbibe in a public place." He gives a joking wink. "I won't tell if you won't."

The Master of Magnetism takes a seat, paying attention to Wanda for now.

Speed has posed:
Tommy catches himself gawking and gives his head a shake. Yeah it was probably them but what was he going to do about it? They might have answers he needed but what if he came across totally lame and they never spoke to him again...

"Screw it," he says, the words distorting as he crosses the distance between them in a heartbeat, coming to an abrupt stop just shy of the edge of the blanket.

He swallows hard, removes his shades, and speaks, because to just stand there mute would be even more embarrassing, "Sorry to interrupt, but, are you Magneto and the Scarlet Witch?" he asks before flinching. He sounded like such a fan boy. "I am Tommy Shepherd, I am looking for Pietro, er Quicksilver."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
That twinkle remains, Wanda's lips a bow of amusement. "Well, it is only a little wee law we break, yes? And it is such a nice day, Papa. I did not wish to be cooped inside the Mansion."

His embrace is returned, but before she can move aside Magneto's jacket to pull things from within, the strange boy approaches, and something niggles. She's not sure why. And when hs asks about Pietro, the niggle grows into something stronger. Almost a forboding. Pietro's name ringing loudly in her ears, almost to the point where she can't hear anything over the rush of sound.

"Pietro?" she asks cautiously, her brother's name faltering on her lips as a suspicion begins to grow. But that couldn't be, could it? What were the odds? Besides, he'd be.. they'd be.. Wanda pales, but catches herself enough to answer the boy. "Oh, he is not with us. But I do wonder, why are you asking after him?" Her words cautious and careful.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto keeps cool as Tommy approaches at breakneck speed. "Indeed I am, young man, and so is she." His ice blue eyes move from Tommy to a mental picture of Pietro, and even his own image. He lets Wanda ask the question, though he watches her, and the boy carefully.

King Magneto held a finger to his chin, he was thinking, keeping quiet for now. But there could be more questions, in fact, there would be.

Speed has posed:
Tommy runs his hand through his silver hair. "Uh, sorry if it was a dumb question, but, you and Quicksilver were tight when you were on the Avengers together, and well, sir," he gives a little nod to Magneto. "I doubt he's slipped under your radar."

"Why am I asking?" he asks in turn. "Well. I'm a speedster and everyone says I look like him, so..." he let's the implication hang. For the record though, Pietro is way too young to be Tommy's Dad.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda gives a little nod. Her mind is putting together the bits and pieces of where she can see this going, and there is no doubt in her mind that her father won't put the very same pieces together. Oh, he might not know WHY they fit, but he'll make a guess, and it will be the correct one. If not the first time, then the second.

"Oh," she says, trying to cover the little start she's already given that would otherwise give her away. "Yes. It is that we work together. He is my brother, no? We have always been close."

So close, she realizes, that at least one of her progeny is the spitting image of Pietro at that age. Give or take a little. But enough. She remembers. She grew up with him. How could she forget?

Magneto has posed:
Magneto raises an eyebrow to Tommy, he's already pieced some of this together. "Young man, how old are you?" The question remains, he isn't sure how, but if this is Pietro's son, Pietro has explaining to do.

But on the other hand, Wanda can do so much...could this be in her wheelhouse? Magneto moves his icy blue eyes to Wanda, watching her reactions.

Speed has posed:
Tommy does his best not to squirm under Magneto's gaze. "Nineteen last September," he says. He had theories about how it could all work out mostly involving what he'd heard about Speedsters and time but he keeps those quiet for now. Just answering the question, swallowing and standing stock still.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda, meanwhile, is doing her fair best not to look the guilty part she feels. How she knows what she knows about the boy, she isn't sure, but she's suddenly aware that somehow or other, she's responsible for him. Not only for his being, but for his being.. hidden away? And while she can sympathize with /why/ she'd have done it, it's strange to be aware of doing something you otherwise have no memories of having done.

It's two worlds colliding, and like it or not, he's her son... Which means the other is out there as well. There were two. She knows this now. And if her father's gaze upon her means anything, he'll soon know they're hers, too. Well, Tommy, at least.

"Papa, you are scaring the boy."

Magneto has posed:
A brief moment after Wanda steals Magneto's attention away. "Oh? Apologies, dear. I was just trying to sort something out. If Pietro could have...sired this...strikingly familiar looking lad."

Magneto looks back to Wanda. "You must admit, the resemblance is...possible." He would have to do his own investigating...soon. A matter of royal lineage, as it were. Now that he was a King, his progeny would be next in line for the throne, as it were.

Speed has posed:
"Oh, I'm fine," Tommy lies trying to re-assure Wanda before Magneto's words have his eyes widening. "So, you think it's possible?" he asks. "I mean I know I look like him, but I had doubts and-" he shuts up before he gets any further in his own way. "I'd be happy to help in any checking you might want to do, sir."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda knows a trap when she sees one. That her father says that means he will get to the bottom of it, and while he might not yet know that Tommy is not Pietro's.. he will find it out eventually. So it is that her next words are perhaps a surprise to both the men, if not herself, and softly spoken:

"He is not Pietro's."

Magneto has posed:
Those four words...revealed so much to the ninety year old, all at once, Magneto turned his head towards Wanda. He needed to be supportive. He reached for Wanda's hand. "It's alright." Erik searched for some form of optimism in his daughter's face, he had an earnest smile, no ulterior motive, just happy. "Tommy, would you care to join us?"

Speed has posed:
"What?" Tommy asks staring at Wanda. "Does that mean-" he can't quite finish the sentence, it's all so weird. When Magneto offers him a chance to join them, he nods, "Sure, thanks," comes his distracted reply where he might have been falling all over himself a moment ago. He sinks down, cross-legged, then lets out a breath, "So what does all of this mean?" he asks, the easiest of the questions racing through his mind.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Her father's supportive look is not missed, but neither is it as helpful as one might hope for, Wanda now in the depths of trying to sort this out for herself, and coming up in that odd place much like when she walks the Road. Or when she thinks about her mother.. or her father. There are things in her life that don't coallesce into a single story, but remain possibility, and this is one of them. Only Tommy is real, which means his brother must be too. And both her father and the boy are awaiting an explanation.

"It is okay, Tommy," she says quietly. "As to what it means, it means that I am your mother." She casts a wan smile upon him, and turns to include her father. "That is what you wished to know, yes, Papa? The boy is mine?" She nods. "It is.. complicated. The story is not simple. It is easiest to say.."

Say what, she asks herself, coming up with no real answers.

"It was different, then. You were different then, Papa." A thing she's not sure she can trust - this seeming change of heart in the man, but always Magneto has been many things, and even before the boy he seemed to be walking this path. Since his escape from SHIELD. An escape she helped facilitate. "I did what I thought was best then. Only, I think I was wrong."

As far as explanations and apologies go, this one might fall short. But for something she's only just now stumbled upon, she's having to adjust as much as they are.

Magneto has posed:
It did not matter to him, he was a different person then. As always, he had...layers to him. But for all intents and purposes, he was taking his role seriously. Even if deep down he wasn't sure how the humans on Genosha would play nice with the Mutants. He himself didn't know what he would end up doing in the future. Would humans show him or mutantkind another atrocity like the sentinels? Would they again start preaching for making Mutants second class citizens? He would not, could not sit idly by if that would happen.

All the man knew, was that his daughter opened up to him, and his grandson found them. It was a test, one that whatever powers of the universe was setting up for him. "Liebling, I...don't blame you." It's all he can muster, only keeping his smile. "It means, young man, that you...are in line for the throne of Genosha." He lets that sink in for a moment, one of the most infamous Mutants of all time, is related to this young man.

Speed has posed:
Of all the things Tommy expected out of this chance encounter, this didn't even cross his mind. He is stunned into stillness, quite a trick with this restless youth. It takes a moment to find the words, "How?" he asks Wanda. "I had a mother. Or, was I given to them?" it made sense, his parents had given him up to the Facility without a fight, happy to be rid of them, it made sense that they weren't his blood. Just a troublesome mutant taken in by a pair of jealous flatscans.

That second revalation shakes him to the core and changes everything. "You're shitting me," he says at first, looking Magneto in the eye. He could see any lie there. "So... I'm a prince?"

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda gives her father another of those apologetic looks. "I wish it were that simple, Papa. There is.. that is to say, there are things you and I still need to talk about." And the boy. But she wasn't sure she was up to that conversation yet - especially as she didn't know where the other child was.

There is a nod for Tommy. "There is no shitting of you. You would be my son. And he would be your grandfather. Though he does make it sound grander than it is. You are not so close to the throne as he would make it." And here she allows a smile. "There are your aunt and uncle and mother before you. But a Prince you could be, yes?"

Magneto has posed:
Magneto draws a sharp breath, he knew there would almost always be conversations to be had. "You know where you can find me, dear."

His eyebrows raise, looking at both of them. "It is grand though, not many youths can assert that they are in line for a royal throne." He offers, a slight chuckle. He has more questions for young Tommy, but he is sure Wanda has more.

Speed has posed:
Tommy nods slowly, all of it has an unreal dream like quality for it. Like he was living some fantasy story, the orphan kid finds out he's a prince. Though if he was dreaming he didn't want to wake back up to the sad reality of his life a few minutes past. "Huh, a prince," he says letting that sink in, those thoughts shoving aside questions about his mother and Wanda and all the rest. "I'm not worried about the throne, but yeah, a prince, I can live with that." There is a slightly stunned smile on his lips at that, before a question tumbles from his lips. "What now?"

Scarlet Witch has posed:
'What now' is a question Wanda has few answers for. She's as fresh to this as Tommy is. "I suppose now we.. well, I do have lunch. And then maybe we talk while we eat. Perhaps you have questions, no? And I do think Papa would like to meet you."

She smiles for Magneto, nodding. "Yes, Papa. I always know where to find you." Suggesting the conversation will happen. Soon.

Magneto has posed:
Max indeed gives a sharp nod. "Indeed, I'm sure he does." The patriarch looks to Tommy, his hand directing towards the basket. "First, I'm going to venture to ask, where are you living?" He of course had many more questions for Tommy.

Speed has posed:
Tommy nods slowly, lunch? Right, food. The mention of it brought with it the reminder of his own constant hunger. "Lunch sounds good," he offers Wanda, even remembering to smile. His look lingers her way for just a moment or two longer than is polite trying to connect her with 'Mom' in his mind. "And I've got a so many questions I don't even know where to begin, but I guess the first one that pops to mind, the Flatscans that raised me, not really my parents right? They sold me out, so it makes sense they're not blood." That question spawned other questions. Ones like why was he given up and who his father was but for once in his life Tommy's patient, worried that too many questions might shatter this pretty illusion and send him tumbling back to reality.

Magneto gets a similar stare as Wanda, trying to think of this champion of mutantkind as his grandfather. "Xavier's" he answers. "They let me in last September, after the Invasion. It's not bad. Lot of rules though."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda nearly chokes on his use of the word "Flatscans?" Her voice losing most of it's rich European lilt and hitting the harsher registers of the local populace. "Did you just call.." She has no actual words, and stills herself and her rising flare of - well, she's not sure if it's anger or upset or horror, but something - and begins to unpack the basket, placing all of the items out carefully before the three of them. Sandwiches. Cheese. Crackers. Fruit. And the aforementioned wine.

"Tommy," Wanda says slowly, "We are all valuable, whether we are mutants or not. We do not call one another such things. They, those people, they took you and raised you as their own. I do not know why they sold you out, as you say. Perhaps you frightened them. We frighten people." She remembers the village she and Pietro burned, fighting for their lives to escape. She knows how mutants can frighten people. Only, she also knows that Tommy was given up long before then, and grows quiet while the boy speaks of his schooling.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto's eyes flare open with surprise when Tommy mentions 'flatscans' a word he hadn't heard in a while. He didn't have much room to talk when it came to humans. "People fear what they do not know, child. It's the foundation of nearly every horrific thing humanity has done against itself. Your feelings are valid, if not slightly naive. But you're young, allowed to be."

When it's revealed that Tommy was attending Xavier's, Magneto can only laugh. "The boy attends the very school which I helped found! Without even knowing." The situation was palpably funny at least.

Wiccan has posed:
With his completion of his Freshman year of college and his impending summer move to Bludhaven, Billy is appily enjoying this gorgeous afternoon in the city. He's gone to one of his favorite, hipster-fancy coffee shop and has one of his favorite, too-expensive coffee drinks in his reusable to-go cup (with a handmade mug cozy) and in a little bag in his hand is a pastry from yet another favorite bakery. Because who doesn't enjoy sitting in the very green and now-floral Central Park drinking a coffee drink and eating something delicious? It would only be better if he was on a date, but at least he's not currently nervous like he would be on a date.

His pace is easy as he walks along one of the paths, his phone out in his other hand as he scrolls through something...or texts...or does whatever folks do in order to not pay attention to their surroundings. He slows and pauses, however, when he comes across the stunning, blooming tree and he turns his phone to it to snap a picture for Instagram. He might not have noticed the picnickers beneath it...or maybe he's just trying not to get them in the picture.

Speed has posed:
Wanda's reaction gets Tommy to shrink back, suprirsed but he rallies quickly, after Magneto adds his own chastisement. "I'm not naïve, I've seen what humans will do to us if we let them, they can be monsters," he says rubbing at his nose. "Anyhow," he lets out a sigh. "Not all humans are bad, I know, some are pretty alright. It's just I've had some bad experiences, anyhow, forgot I said anything."

At the mention of Magneto founding Xavier's, Tommy's eyes widen, "What? They totally left that off the tour, what happened?"

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda's features soften somewhat for Tommy, "It is okay. Only, if we do continue to speak of one another in such ways, we will never come to understand how to live together in peace." Magneto is given a significant look with that.

Only there is the matter of the picture taking young man. For a moment Wiccan is camoflauged by the overhanging branches, though they oddly do not hide herself, her father, or Tommy from Wiccan's view. For a brief second she looks up and over at the man, only to look away and back to the others sharing the meal with her.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto rolled up his left sleeve, showing his grandson the tattoo he gained at Auschwitz. "I too know firsthand the atrocities humanity can do, young man." It's true, while no one really knew just how old he was other than his family, Magneto had survived the Holocaust. "I said never again. And I mean to keep that promise."

On a lighter note, Magneto looks to Tommy, a smile on his face. "Oh they'd never tell you. But Charles and I, we founded the school together. With the hopes that young Mutants such as yourself could learn to control their abilities, without fear of being accosted." Magneto's plans though, were to assemble a fighting force, willing to take the top of the food chain from Homo Sapiens.

Wiccan has posed:
It's New York...most don't tend to look at other people because then you might have to actually speak to them. A couple of pictures are taken before the posting begins. A step is taken off of the path, a little closer to the tree, so that he isn't just standing in the way of others; apparently Billy is one of the few 'polite' New Yorkers. He's trying very hard to mind his own business but it's hard not to overhear conversation that's so close. Maybe the mention of 'Mutants' has him trying to sneak a little glance at those sitting under the blossoming tree. Maybe he was expecting more walking, talking rhinos and warthogs but that would have certainly been noticed.

Speed has posed:
Tommy nods to Wanda, "I understand," he says. Though he blinks and stares openly when the tattoo is revealed. "Wait, that's from-" once again there were so many questions. "Wait does that mean you were-" he blinks. Okay, Magneto may have his time in the Facility beat when it comes to the cruelty of humankind.

Following Wanda's gaze, he spots the other kid, he looks vaguely familiar, even as he listens to Magneto's story. "Well they're still doing that, even if they've taken your name off of everything. It's alright there."

Then with a glance to both Magneto and Wanda he asks, "Any of you know that kid?" He nods towards Billy.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Magneto's tattoo is viewed with a mixture of sadness and something undefinable. "We are all cruel in our own ways," she says softly. "It is why I say we must be so careful not to be come that we hate. Power is too easy to abuse. Yes, Papa? You would being with the good intentions, but in the end, you would turn those good works to something else."

Though there's a sense that she's not talking about Magneto at all as she says that.

When Tommy looks off over at Wiccan, Wanda's gaze drifts back there, and remains, her eyes widening before she can school her features to a non-betrayal of what Magneto, at least, should surely be able to recognize. While Tommy sees only vaguely familiar, Wanda sees what she feared would come to pass: that things would bend and fold and bring her second son to her, much as it had brought her first.

And so it had, in the form of a camera weilding young man who had no idea how his life was about to change.

Magneto has posed:
"Mein Tattoo von dem schlimmsten Ereignis der Menschheitsgeschichte, Enkel." He was indeed who he was. Magneto turned his gaze to Billy, then to Tommy. "Wanda, was this..." He doesn't believe the two could have been brought together by coincidence alone, but who knew at this point. He stood up, rolling his sleeve back down and buttoning the cuff. "Young man." He said, full attention to the rest of the party. He gently beckons Billy to come closer, to get a better look at him.

Wiccan has posed:
It takes a moment for Billy to realize that he's being spoken to. Looking up with a little start he lifts a hand to his eyes and peers at the group under the tree, "Oh, sorry! I was just getting pictures of the tree...not you guys." But he easily comes over, poking at his phone to pull up the pictures for proof. "It's just so pretty and huge and...fluffy," with flowers. He gets the pictures up on the screen and actually turns to look at those there and does a little double-take upon seeing Tommy. "Whoa. Uh..." A step back is taken and he looks at them, the phone and pastry bag actually seeming to disappear out of his hands, leaving them free in case they're needed for any sort of defense.

Speed has posed:
"Huh?" Tommy says in reponse to the stream of German, though he quickly quiets down, recognizing the significance of the tattoo and what it meant about his, grandfather. The word felt strange to think in regards to Magneto.

Wanda's words are met with a nod, and a little smile. "Yeah, that's what they teach us at Xavier's, I'm still learning."

Wanda's reaction and Magneto standing, clues Tommy into who Billy is. "No way," he breathes, on his feet in a heartbeat, he gives the other boy a look up and down. "Huh," he says crossing his arms, and watching things play out.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda holds out a hand, but Magneto is already rising. "Papa.." she beings. Only, it's already foregone.

<<It is.. it is that there were two, Papa. The one you have met, and the one you are about to meet. Only they do not know me.>>

It's cleat that Billy is concerned. concerned enough he's preparing to cast.. Wanda isn't sure. More to the point, Billy isn't sure. She can tell. He's ready to cast; he has power gathering; only there is no signature to the execution yet. It's all.. anticipatory.

"No, no, no.." she murmurs, rising slowly herself, holding out a hand Billy's way, speaking softly. "There is no need. See? It is only a picnic. It is only a thing of peace and safety.." And as she speaks, she weilds magic of her own, wrapping the foursome within a warding spell - a spell that difuses (or works to difuse!) Billy's own gathering power. "Please, come to join with us. We will.. That is, it will be explained."

Magneto has posed:
<Two children? Dear, I, probably deserved not knowing.>

Magneto sits back down, looking to make the first step for Wanda. He was hurt, but he knew his own reputation preceded him. "Come, young man. Join us." He didn't want to steal the moment from Wanda, since she didn't know them just as much as he.

Wiccan has posed:
Wiccan's eyes widen as the other magic is worked...he's not really used to others working magic on him...or around him...or any of that, really. "Ohshitohshitoh..." wait. No. Bad spell. "Stay back..." is sort of threatened as he tries to call up some lightning in his hands. 'Try' being the active word since the other magic seems to be working against his! Gah! "Who are you?" That's aimed at Tommy. "Is this some sort of trick? An illusion?" Maybe he can break it?

The others seem to be much calmer than he is but, "They say everyone has a doppleganger but this is crazy." And he's not entirely certain he wants to stand down yet. But there might be people watching. Dark eyes glance about before he actively lowers his hands and tries to appear as if nothing is wrong. "You two look familiar..." to the others before he looks back to Tommy, "In a different way than you."

Speed has posed:
Tommy smirks at Billy's whole freak out like he didn't just have his own a moment ago. "Trust me, right there with you, but calm down and come sit, you know who these two are right? Even if you did fight, you're not going to win."

And that was saying nothing of speedster explode stuff Tommy.

"But besides all that, there is some crazy stuff I think you'll want to hear. Or, well, maybe not, but either way, come sit." He nods about the looking familiar comment. "Yeah, know that feeling too, used to have black hair like that when I was younger." The white came with his mutation. As external signs went it wasn't bad.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Ah. Lightning. Wanda knows that well - as well as other elements. Powerful, and choices that require skill. She can't help some small measure of pleasure and pride at knowing *that* is her child, and that small measure of what he can do.. It makes her ponder what Tommy is capable of.

"It is.. a story. Only, I do not know your name yet," she tells Billy. "And I am sorry for that. Please, come. Sit. We will talk, and then we will make the decisions, yes?"

She doesn't explain *what* decisions.

Magneto has posed:
Erik felt the surging electricity, while it was in his wheelhouse, he was also quite capable of taking care of himself. He remains calmed, letting the others talk. Like normal, if he needed to, he will.

The master of magnetism had a feeling, these two, if they were that powerful without much training, he thought to himself just how powerful they could be. Not that he or his progeny were underpowered, at all.

Wiccan has posed:
Wiccan looks at Tommy, a hand going to his own dark hair as if making sure that it hasn't changed color while he's stood there. He then looks more closely at the others, his dark eyes widening, "Oh, my god...aren't you..." Tommy gets another quick glance before he swallows audibly. Maybe he -wouldn't- win and it might be better to just acquiesce.

"Billy. Billy Kaplan. Are you...What are you doing having a picnic?" And back to Tommy, "And why do you look like me?"

Speed has posed:
Tommy continues to smirk, watching someone else go through the same confusion as he did a moment ago is strangely satisfying. "Hey Billy," he says. "I'm Tommy, and I'm pretty sure you figured out who these two are, so, like I said come sit, join our picnic."

"Still the same," Tommy assures Billy about the hair. "And as to our stunning good looks, I think someone else better explain it, I am still coming to grips with it myself."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
There's something of an apologetic smile from Wanda as Billy's eyes widen and he manages to suss out exactly who he's dealing with, followed by the recognition that his looks are not just a passing familiarity to Tommy's.

"Yes. Yes, we are they. And it is a picnic we were having." She gestures, again, that he should sit and join them. "It is that we will explain it." Ammending, "I will explain it."

A nod, "You are Billy. It is that I am Wanda." She points to Magneto. "That is.. that is your grandfather, Erik. And he," she points to Tommy, "is your twin brother, Tommy."

And with that, the whole of the sordidness is lain out, even if it is yet to be explained.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto took a seat again, watching the two boys interact with one another. Once Wanda points out who he is, there is no hiding it any longer, his ice blue eyes look directly at Billy's. The man is measuring up his other grandson.

Wiccan has posed:
"Grandfather??" Magneto is his -grandfather-? Billy looks at the older man with wide eyes before they shift to Tommy, "Twin?" He doesn't sit just yet. Instead, he rushes towards Tommy to tackle-hug him. "I always wanted a brother! Oh, my god! This is so cool!" And why they look so much like each other. "Do you think we're identical?" Maybe not. "Mom and dad never told me...maybe they didn't know?" Meaning he may know that he's not a biological child of his parents.

Magneto's gaze on him have him looking back over, his smile wavering a little.

Speed has posed:
Tommy oofs as he's tackle hugged but keeps his feet. He's wiry but freakishly strong, "Hey get off," he says prying his brother off of him, but there's a lightness to his tone that makes it clear he doesn't mind /that/ much. The question are met with an appraising look first at Billy, close up there were a lot of similarities and yet some differences, eyes and hair being the most glaring. "If not pretty close," he says, "And no idea, my parents never told me I was adopted, explains a lot though," he says. "Anyhow, bro, sit, before people start staring," he says, doing exactly that if he's managed to disentangle from Billy's hug.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda waits for Billy to take his seat - not precisely hovering, but definitely looking anxious.

"I will explain," she promises, "Once it is that we are all sitting."

It might be that they are warded from most prying here, but they are still visible, and while they truly do look nothing more than a family out on an afternoon picnic, there are still those awkward poses and positions that might make some question things..

Not to mention, Wanda and Magneto are known entities; the boys, as they are, in juxtaposition to the other two, become rapidly more obvious as members of that little family... Previously unknown members of that little family... who will, in most likelihood, be attributed to Magneto rather than Wanda, given the age of the boys.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto waits to chime in, though he at least manages a nod of the head to Billy when his name is mentioned. It's obvious that Speed and he are related, given their hair color. But there are similarities all around, when all four of them are together.

At least Magneto had his reputation to precede him when it comes to looky-loos, hardly anyone would be brave enough to intrude.

Wiccan has posed:
"Sorry, sorry..." she did ask them to sit, didn't she? Billy lets Tommy move away but he'll sit right there, cross-legged, as if waiting to hear the story. Brown eyes look from Wanda to Magneto again, who gets another little smile, before he looks to Tommy. "So you know what's going on too?" Was he the last one to know about this? Was his trip to Central Park fated?

Speed has posed:
"Wait, the other stuff we could be standing for but whatever's next we need to sit for?" Tommy asks incredulously. His tone spells out his thoughts clearly, 'Jesus, what could be next'. He shoots a look to Billy and handwobbles. "Just got told like five minutes before you showed up. We're basically on the same page," he says, before his eyes turn back to Wanda, expectant, and nervous.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
There's something of a soft sigh from Wanda who hadn't started out this day intending to try and sort out problems of this magnitude, let alone was aware she had problems of this magnitude. Calmly, she takes her seat again, and puts the basket between the four of them so that all can help themselves. Interestingly enough, there is enough food in the basket for all - as much as if she'd packed the thing with lunch for four.. though from the outside, the basket hardly looks like it has that much space inside.

While she gathers herself, she pours herself and Magneto some of the 'forbidden in public spaces' wine and hands him his glass, while craddling her own.

"So. Here we are. We four. And it is that it would seem I am your mother." She nods, claiming that, and seeming pleased with it as a starting point. "And you two would be brothers. Twins. And yes, it would be the identical, only.. see, here it is how you say, complicated. You are the same, but different? When you were created, you were, hrm.."

Her face takes on a thoughtful cast as she ponders how to proceed.

"You are answers, yes? That is, you were made to be answers. It would not have been good to make you to be anything but what you are, so you were allowed to become as you needed. It is that you are no longer quite the same as each other, and you are not exactly as you were created. But you are both what you need to be for who you will become."

Her head cants to one side ever so slightly, and she makes a pained face. "It is very hard to explain things of this nature. There are so many things of metaphysics and psychospirituality to contemplate." She shrugs. "And, of course, there is always the complication of your father."

Magneto has posed:
The glass of wine is accepted graciously, a sip is savored. Though Wanda's explanation begs so many more questions.

In a show of fatherly support, Max places a hand on Wanda's shoulder, giving her a slight smile. "You created them? You don't mean to say..." A pause, making a slightly pained expression himself. "Nevermind, the question just begs at least five more." And another sip of wine.

Wiccan has posed:
"Created?" Billy raises his hand a little as if he has a question. "And just how are you our mother? I mean, you don't look too much older than us..." but then his hand lowers as his mind begins to work again. "So, we're...huh." There's a thoughtful look before he presses a hand to his chest, "How old were we when we were 'created'? And do we have a father? And are we going to be...uncreated at some point?" Seems like he's willing to ask five more questions if Erik won't. "Do our parents know? I mean, our adoptive parents?" He looks to Tommy to see if he knew about this part.

Speed has posed:
The look on Tommy's face definitely says he had no clue. "So we're what, test tube babies or something?" he asks Wanda, before letting Billy fill in a lot of what he had to ask. "What he said?" he chimes in, frowning at the thought of being uncreated. "If we're being uncreated, can it be stopped?" he asks once he thinks of it. His mind races onwards moving the quickened speed of his mutation. Tumbling through ideas, "And oh, god our dad's not Quicksilver is it?" he puts up a hand expecting potest. "I mean if we're test tube kids, I'm not saying you two did it."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
That slight frown returns to Wanda's features as she searches for the right words. It's slightly hampered by the fact that her own memory of the event is somewhat secondhand, and only as old as her knowledge that they existed. That is to say, she's had fifteen minutes give or take, to get used to the idea that she's a mother of two full grown boys.

"You are not from the test tubes. It is that you were babies, just like anyone else, only.. you see, your father, he is not like the rest of us.." She grasps at Tommy's protest of don't tell me it's Quicksilver, and laughs softly, shaking her head. "No. It is not him. It is a very nice man. He is gentle, and kind, and perhaps the best human being I know." Other than the fact that he's not human.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto had a feeling the questions would be asked anyway. Teenagers have an image ability for doing such.

"Ha!" Simply the thought of Speed's question seems silly, even with Speed's...uncanny likeness. "You mean...Nolan?" He asks, not sure just who the father is himself.

Wiccan has posed:
Billy arches an eyebrow and looks at Tommy as their 'father' is being described. "Except other babies aren't usually defined by the word 'created'. They're 'born', usually. And your turn of phrase made it seem like we weren't born. Couple that with the fact that you don't look old enough to be the mother of two nineteen year olds," since he figures Tommy is his age, due to being twins and all. "Isn't Quicksilver your brother?" Ew. Although he does look at Tommy, noting the white hair. Huh. "Who's Nolan?"

Speed has posed:
Tommy nods when Billy glances his way by way of asking his age, "Nineteen," he confirms, before looking over at grandfather, ""Well with my hair" he says before he's turning to Billy "And yeah, her brother," he pauses, realizing something, "Our uncle, yeah, I know, ew, but I've got his hair and his powers." he says, then frowns and asks, "You? Powers I mean? Got 'em?"

"Yeah, who's Nolan?" he adds jumping in with the rest of the family.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Nolan," Wanda says carefully, "Is not your father. And your father does not know of you. It is very complicated, and I do wish to speak to him first before I explain it to you. Know only that it is not Pietro who is your father."

She shakes her head at that, dismissively, even if there is a rather goodly portion of his DNA in the boys.

Magneto has posed:
Magneto peruses the food available to them, taking a piece of cheese, smiling at the combination. Thank every single god ever that it wasn't Pietro. Where the boys were concerned, he wanted to at least extend an offer. "Seeing as it is summer, should you wish to visit Genosha, you will have a welcome fitting for young men of your family. And of course, Wanda, you're always welcome. I will have to figure the proper titles for them, should they wish to accept."

Wiccan has posed:
"Genetics is interesting," Billy points out and shrugs as the question of powers is made. "Uh. Yeah. Not speed though...I mean, not usually." He might be able to do something with that depending on what spell he might use. He looks back to Wanda and seems to consider her for a moment before shrugging, "Well, we just found out about this just now, so...what's waiting a little longer?" After all, if Magneto is their grandfather, could it get any more intense?

"So...uh...now what? I mean, I have a good relationship with my parents...should I tell them about this? How does this work now? Are you guys in Manhattan?"

He then blinks at Erik, "Genosha? Titles?"

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"We will figure this out. But first, we finish eating. Details can wait." Wanda smiles at the boys. The meal continues. Talks will continue to be had. That's how life is sometimes.
