Pixie chasing
Date of Scene: 17 May 2018
Location: Bludhaven
Synopsis: Origami and a temporary pixie wait outside a closed magic shop.
Cast of Characters: Dawn Summers, Origami

Dawn Summers has posed:
It's now been more than a day since Dawn's gotten herself pixied. And staying around home just leaves more opportunities for her mom to find her like this. So, garbed in the modified Barbie dress (because it beats flying around naked), the girl's out flying around trying to find SOMEONE at the shop she thought it was at. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, she hasn't had a chance to find the person responsible for the magic there. So the little lightball flits around the shop, seeing if she can't find a way in.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore soars overhead, riding a giant paper airplane like one you might fold in a boring class. High enough that the size of the plane might not be immediately obvious.

Then she circles around and flutters it down, dropping down hard behind the back of the store where people aren't walking around looking. She skids it down onto the sidewalk, jumping off and reaching out to snatch the plane out of the air as it suddenly implodes into a crumpled up normal sized paper airplane. She looks around and hmmms. Seeing a pixie flying nearby, she waves, "Hi! Do you know if they are open yet?"

Dawn Summers has posed:
Dawn doesn't notice till she hears the voice behind her, and then tries speaking to the girl. Unfortunately, right now, that's only coming out as a series of melodious chimes, rather than any kind of intelligible language, as the pixie occasionally gestures to herself, and the shop. Well, pixies aren't exactly known for being staggeringly bright, after all.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore listens and nods politely. "I don't have a way to translate what you are saying." She reaches down into her tooled leather messenger bag is a quick practiced motion without even looking, and pulls out one sheet of square paper. "Can you write? Or anything else?" She offers the paper, and a boring ball point pen. "Oh, you probably need a table or something."

Dawn Summers has posed:
The pixie looks down. She's not sure she could deal with the pen; it's bigger than she is tall. DEFINITELY can't do it without a writing surface. She'll land on the window ledge, which will reveal someone has apparently dressed the pixie in a Barbie dress. It's a little like putting clothes on a stray cat.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore takes back the paper and makes a couple of quick folds in the paper, barely even looking at it. She lightly tosses it out forward and it grows into a tall bar table made out of what looks like wood-printed cardboard. Then she pulls out another sheet of paper and puts it on top of it.

"Maybe a pencil or something? I don't have a lot of things to write with..." She thinks. "I should probably fix that." She thinks a bit. "Hmmm, what to do.."

Dawn Summers has posed:
The pixie flutters over to the table, and lands there. She makes a gesture like taking out a phone and talking on it, as she looks up to the much bigger sorceress.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore hmms, and pulls out her smartphone. She opens it up to a notepad app and puts it down. "Oh, yeah, a keyboard would probably work." She shrinks the keyboard to its smallest size and looks down. "I wonder if there's a better spell for this."

Dawn Summers has posed:
Dawn moves to step up on it. Something is clearly up, because a pixie shouldn't really know what a smartphone is, much less how it works. But she steps on button after button. ~you're a witch?~ she asks in text.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore reads, then tilts her head. "I don't know what I am. I use magic for some reason. I'm still figuring out how that works, and I don't know where to start looking."

"Why, do you need a witch for something?"

Dawn Summers has posed:
More dance-texting, as the little pixie types out ~need to get back to normal~. How can the girl be a witch and not know what a witch is. Still, she's got magic, so maybe it'll be useful at that. She looks up hopefully to Miyako.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore hmms. She crinkles her nose and thinks some. She technically *can* do that.. but it takes ALL NIGHT and it HURTS and she just doesn't wanna. She's had to turn away a bunch of people who are really sick already just because it takes a lot out of her, and people are desperate to consume her when it comes to.. well.. wishes.

She tilts her head and figures she'll ask you more questions. Maybe an easier solution will come to mind. "What happened to you?"

Dawn Summers has posed:
The pixie just gives her a Look. Eyerolling is not involved, but it's close. Finally, she'll tap out another text. ~uhh...i'm a pixie.~ she taps out, gesturing to herself with a decidedly "duh" expression on her face.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore just kind of stares. Because the stupid blank stare is sort of the natural counter to an eyeroll when insufficient information is being given. She's never actually seen any different version of you to compare with. Several seconds pass.

"...Ssssso...? There's nothing wrong with pixies?" Confused head tilt.

Dawn Summers has posed:
Dawn literally facepalms, then taps out ~so I'm human not a pixie. or not supposed to be.~ She explains, still looking up. Well, if nothing else, that explains the Barbie dress.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore ohs! "What did you do, have a conversation with a fairy? Those can go kind of haywire, I guess." She hmmms, thinking. Fairy transformations.. She doesn't deal much with fairies.. "Do you need me to call anybody for you or anything?"

Dawn Summers has posed:
Dawn shakes her head. ~no I just need to be human again. I'm tired of being tiny.~ And many other things. It finally dawns (no pun intended) on her, and she adds ~I'm Dawn~ These tapdance texts can wear you out pretty quick when you're five inches tall.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore smiles, "Hi, Dawn! I'm Origami. It's nice to meet you. What are you looking for here? Maybe I can help you find it." She reaches into her bag and gets out some prescription lotion, rubbing it into her horrifically scarred hands. "I'm sure tiny has to be annoying."

Dawn Summers has posed:
~looking for a cure here. tiny is annoying. so is people not understanding me~ Honestly, thank god for cell phones. At least by tapping out messages she can communicate. Without them, she wouldn't even have that much.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore hmmms. "Okay. I'm not sure when they are open. I've been here before, but I think I annoy them a little bit." She frowns a bit. "Lots of books, and I don't even know where to start. I just.. DO things." She looks up at the sky, then takes the sheet of paper and idly folds it into a small flower which she sets on the corner of the table. It takes root in the surfae of the table and blooms a bit, slowly.

Dawn Summers has posed:
Dawn wipes at her brow, and taps out ~paper magic. pretty cool.~ She pauses a moment, then adds ~have food?~ Because she's burned a lot of calories since she left.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore hmms, "I can GET food. What are you hungry for? There's places close by, and I don't usually carry food with me." She hmms, trying to remember what was around here. What was there.. burgers or something?

Dawn Summers has posed:
Dawn considers. ~nah. if you don't have, it's cool. I should be going anyway if I can't get in.~ She steps off the cellphone, and her wings flutter as she takes flight again, her glowing increasing to a bright lightball.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore nods. "Do you want a phone number or something? You can send a text. Or just ask at the fire station for me. They can find me."

Dawn Summers has posed:
That gets an amused look from the pixie, though it's hard to see through the light. She shakes her head...not like she can carry a phone right now. She'll wave, and then takes to the air, flying off into the night.
