Cast of Characters: Hulk, Slipstream

Hulk has posed:
With things being the way they are, Bruce tends to come and go from the Avengers Mansion a lot even when he's sticking around to help the team. He's not a fan of making the Mansion a target for people looking to control the Hulk, but Drake has his attention for now.

Dressed in a doctors/lab coat and having setup the physical checkup area, Bruce is busy doing routine maintenance on the tools; he's not a fan of the automated drones doing it for him. Drake has been called already to come over to medical so Bruce could take a look at him.

It was a long overdue check after the last time Drake overextended his power use.

Slipstream has posed:
The youngest Avenger has been out on adventures of his own on the streets of New York! Between Overwatch tournaments, he has been fighting ninjas, mutant warthogs and rhinos, mixing it up with bank robbers and car jackers. Some go smoothly, some go a bit rougher than others, but he is still standing so that must make for something.

Today, Drake is wearing a pair of loose fitted jeans with some holes in the knees and as usual a Overwatch shirt, this time one that is dark green showing off one of the heroes on it with the telltale logo on the back in black. Following him is the gold Snowball that Tony built for him as they head into the medical bag. "Hey B-Squared. What's up?" He calls out as he lifts a hand to wave to him. "Yo, I got you some Burger King breakfast sandwiches."

Hulk has posed:
"I prefer home-made food if I can help it, but thank you for the offer, I just ate." Bruce gives in reply as he starts to pile the instruments he was cleaning into a tray, and sets them down on the table next to the physical checkup bed. "I wanted to do a baseline checkup. You've been using your abilities more, and we still don't know everything about what that does to you." Bruce notes as he turns around to look at Drake, placing his hands in the coat pockets. "I hear you've been busy." Bruce gives Drake a small smile, before he looks over Snowball, "Keeping it?" Bruce asks, giving a headnod to the robot.

Slipstream has posed:
"I mean.. these amazing sausage egg and cheeses were made in the home of the greatest King of all time." Drake says as he plops the bag down on the counter. He gives a look to Snowball. "Yup, Tony said I can keep her. She's my buddy. She has saved my butt a few times now." Giving himself a stretch, he rises up on his toes a bit. "But, sure, I'm ready when you are, Doc. I don't think much has changed. I still use my powers and they hurt me when I do. I'm getting better at not passing out from the pain at least, or pushing myself. Mostly because every time I hit code orange, Tony sends me an automatic email which a picture of his face looking disappointed. Then he captions it with: 'I'm disappointed.' Sometimes I push myself on purpose just so I can get the email so I can pretend he's actually thinking about me." Something about his grin makes it obvious he is joking. "You poking me today or scanning? Hopefully I can keep my pants on for this."

Hulk has posed:
"That sounds like Tony." Bruce notes, entirely unsurprised in his tone, before he starts to work through the tray, "This is a physical checkup. I'd like a baseline from when we first met. You're still learning control and your limits. I know a little something about that." Bruce smiles warmly as he takes out a Stethoscope. Bringing it up to his ears, he places them.

"Shirt up, please." Bruce states as he moves to start the physical exam, "when I first started transforming into The Other Guy, I had no idea what I was doing either. It took me a few weeks to realize the trigger... then a few years before I accepted that I was going to be like this for a while." He keeps shifting positions as he talks, "It's taken a while, but me and him have a sort of accord now." Finally, he takes the scope, and starts to work through the other instruments, "I'd like to help you to learn how to handle your own issues. Meditation helped me a lot... but you don't seem like that'd help." Bruce smiles.

Slipstream has posed:
Peeling his shirt off, Drake's body has begun it's own transformation over the last couple of months. He has started to put on a bit of muscle and lost some weight in the right spots. "I don't know if I got issues outside of I use my powers and they try to tear me apart. Cause and effect. Though right now everyone tells me I got esteem and confidence issues, which is kinda obvious since I hang out with Iron Man, Cap and The Hulk for my teammates you know? I just think I'm screwing up all the time. I don't know what meditation would do for me besides make me antsy. You'd have to yank out the IV drip of Red Bull in my arm.

Lobbing his shirt to the side, he gives his shoulder a bit of a rub. "I just want to be a success and to not let any of you down. I guess it's why I push myself. That and if I don't use my powers, I will get caught in whatever situation I'm in. So it's either I use the powers and risk my powers hurtin gme, or I don't use my powers and I risk getting kicked in the face by a ninja or not being fast enough to save someone. Does that make sense? I kinda feel stuck."

Hulk has posed:
There's a small squint as Drake calls himself a 'teammate', but he says nothing just yet. "You'll be of no good to anyone if you're dead. The Other Guy is pretty much impossible to kill, so I got lucky there. Your ability needs work. Training."

Bruce starts to check the ears, "Did Cap invite you to the Avengers?" Bruce asks casually.

Slipstream has posed:
"No, but Tony says I'm kinda in training for a junior roster spot or something. So I get to hang out and do stuff, but not actually you know.. go into space and fight Skrulls with you guys." Drake says as he shrugs his shoulders upwards. "Which is code for keeping an eye on me and giving me a goal to work towards so I don't go off into left field and try and become a bad guy." There's a grin on his face. "Also! You know Tony is having his birthday coming up, right? We're having a five on five paint ball scrim between us. We already picked sides. I'm captain of one team and Tony is the captain of the other. Neither of us picked you because we didn't want to piss off the big guy by accident. But, I was thinking maybe you can still be involved. I'd like to throw a small thing for Tony, like a party after the paintballing. Would you be willing to help me get it set up? I was thinking we could do a pizza bar or something, rent out the back, have some balloons and cake and just hang out for an hour. Pending the world isn't attacked.. Sorta like famly time."

Hulk has posed:
As Drake goes on and on, Bruce takes the opportunity to go through the rest of the exam tests, before he takes a small rubber hammer and does the knee reflex test, hitting both in turn, "Sounds like you have a number of irons in the fire." Bruce observes as he goes for the tray again, "I might be able to. Paintball isn't something I do, but the thrill seekers tend to like it." Bruce confirms.

Slipstream has posed:
"Yeah. I didn't think Paintball was your thing and I sorta wanna win so it's why I picked up War Machine and Falcon on my team. Also got Rogue too." Drake chuckles as he watches him go about the tests. "So, when you go Hulk, you are in control for the most part, right? Is it like a different person all together in your head with his own personality or is it you but just a different version of you? Like a pissed off you?"

Hulk has posed:
The question about the Hulk has Bruce stop what he's doing, and he leans back to regard Drake, "It's a lot more complicated then that." Bruce confirms to Drake, his tone suddenly a bit more serious. "I never remember it all, and I'm never in full control. If I release The Other Guy voluntarily, I can usually keep him from doing anything really bad... but it's like having one hand on the steering wheel. Any memories I have of the whole experience are always fuzzy and vague, if I remember anything at all." Bruce puts the hammer down then in the tray, "The Other Guy is his own person."

There's a shrug to his shoulders, then. "Whenever I transform, I get to wake up days or weeks later, wondering how much damage The Other Guy did."

Slipstream has posed:
"Does the other guy have friends? Girlfriend? People he can hang out with or is it all just rampage and rawr?" Drake asks curiously as he reaches for his shirt to tug it back over his head. "Does he have emotions like remorse or sadness or anything or is it just rage? It doesn't seem like a good super power if you're not in control you know? Or at least enough where you got both hands on the steering wheel. It seems like a real FeelsBadMan type of situation." He gives a few tugs of his shirt to put it into palce. "Have you ever hurt someone you really cared about?"

Hulk has posed:
As Drake continues to question him, Bruce finally puts the tools down, and takes his disposable gloves off, "I think we're done for today. I might have some follow up tests, but you're physically healthy. We can discuss possible training sometime later, alright?" Bruce inquires of Drake as he starts to remove his coat, "Dealing with The Other Guy isn't something I like to share about. At least the military stopped chasing after me now."

Slipstream has posed:
There is a look of disappointment upon Drake's face. ".. Oh. Okay. Sorry. I was just asking to get to know you better and the whole situation. I figured maybe talking to you about it would .. help me with my own issues, or maybe help me see things differently. I like backstories I guess. I'm sorta a huge nerd for all of this. It's one of the things that got me into Overwatch. It's about a desperate situation and the world had to call upon heroes who were no longer heroes, some were just bad people some where just misunderstood people. I never thought I'd ever get to hang out with real life heroes so I started building a life within the game, trying to be a hero on the keyboard, even if it meant being just some dipshit in real life." He gives the floor a few stubs beneath him with a worn sneaker. "But now that I'm all super powered and weird like, people I used to hang out with kinda give me a lot of distance now. Like I'm a freak or something and it's not the same. So I'm just hoping to .. get some friends who understand what I'm going through."

Hulk has posed:
"Maybe another time, kid." Bruce offers somewhat consolatory to Drake, before he starts to head for the exit, "Now that we know you're doing fine physically, we can discuss some paths later." Bruce gives Drake a wave as he heads upstairs.

Slipstream has posed:
Shifting his jaw, Drake nods and gives a tap to Snowball on the side, heading out through the doors. The robot makes a few whirls and beeps as she follows after him, giving him another passing scan along him. "Not now." He mutters to the robot.
