That's not a floor!

Synopsis:	Rift, Nicky, and the Scarlet Spider meet on a wall. And under a ledge. Escher would be proud.

Shoe has posed:
Nicky had needed to go into this part of town on business. Then they got a bit antsy, because.. come ON, high charge and they can WALK again and the neighborhood is PRETTY with cool views you just can't SEE from ground level..

So they put on their costume - a black and orange bodysuit with bronze trim to match the bronze footwear that emphasizes his shoulders - and flipped on the Boots Of Hermes skin, and stashed some things on a high rooftop, and now he is standing on the underside of a ledge, admiring a huge mural and a piece of statuary from above and checking a paper map of art studios.

Rift has posed:
Someone else who can walk on walls. Or on a ceiling. Rift has been looking for someone with similar powersets. She has been doing some investigative work, and tracked down the likely area. A red portal tears open in the sky at the roofline of some of the skyscrapers as a glowing red figure emerges, hovering in midair. Her entire body, and clothing, glows dull red, with bright red glows inside her arms, legs, head, and chest. She looks around as she sees if anything catches her eye from here. The portal closes eventually.

Shoe has posed:
Nicky looks over at the building nearby thoughtfully, then takes a step forward, swinging up to being sideways like the Goblin King, before crouching, swinging his arms forward and jumping straight 'up' across the street with a thumping noise on takeoff, reversing his twist in the air and landing on a blank spot beside the wall mural. His shoes glimmer a moment. He frowns because NOW he can see the portal now that it's not underfoot.

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua watched someone twist around in the air like her as she immediately pursues, turning herself to land by Nicky. She stands there, glowing like that. In this sideways orientation, one would immediately noting something strange. Rift has decently-long hair... but it's not danglign towards the ground. It's still around her shoulders like she's standing on the ground. "You can stand on walls too?" she asks softly. "But... not like I do... was hoping..." She shrugs. "I'm Rift," she states, extending her hand to Nicky.

Shoe has posed:
Nicky ohs and blinks. He shakes the hand, "I'm The Shoe. It's awesome, isn't it? You're.." He gestures up and down between your head and feet. "Personal gravity, right? That is SO COOL!"

He looks around at the scenery. "I wanted to look at some of the statues and murals out here. I'm kind of an artist, so. What are you up to?"

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua nods slowly. "I... was looking for you. I heard reports about someone who could walk on walls..." she states. "I wanted to find. Personal gravity - is just part of it - I can manipulate gravity too." She smiles faintly. "Oh - did I interrupt anything you were doing?"

Shoe has posed:
Nicky shakes his head, "Nah, it's all good. I mean, can you really interrupt 'Goofing around'? I just think it's cool that I get to meet someone else who stands around on walls. I mean at first it was just a neat trick, but it's really fun to do." He hmms, looking at the street a little, taking a wider stance to rest his knees a little. "I mean, you can see, she put a bunch of detail in on the head of that statue, and hardly anybody gets to see it."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Not everyone just pays attention to their immediate surroundings. Specially tourists hoping to get a glimpse of one of the cities plethora of super heroes. So when two oddly dressed 'capes' are spotted several stories up literally hanging around, people start pointing and talking amongst themselves, if not bringing out cellphones to take pictures.

    This is what Ben Reilly comes across, spotting the pointing fingers and covered eyes to get better looks The Scarlet Spider follows the civilians gaze watching as the two are visiting while standing perpendicular to the building. Still Several blocks out, he watches, and when neither balls of fiery death, or megapunches start to be flung around he makes a decision. With a flip and one final pull on his line the red and black clad web-slinger lightly lands just below the other two, crouching with one hand, and both legs touching the surface of the building. "Sorry to break up this little shindig, but folks below are starting to chatter, and when they start to chatter, The City's boys in blue tend to get called. "You might wanna move this party somewhere a little less conspicuous.. " The clone says in a friendly manner.

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua nods as one of the Spider heroes suddenly land by the two and tell them that they're being disruptive. "Oh - I didn't realize anyone was looking but... I'm not very subtle." She just walks up the side of the building and steps around to the roof and lands there, all the while her gravity stays pointing to her feet - the 90-degree bend doesn't change anything.

Shoe has posed:
Nicky throws up his hands in exasperation. "Oh COME on! We're -literally- just standing around looking at a piece of art! I mean, I can pull out a camera and take pictures of it if it would help. WHAT-ever." He hmphs! and gestures up the wall invitingly, before idly walking up the wall to the roof, putting one foot out over the ledge and spinning up onto his feet on the rooftop in similar fashion. "Maybe we need to change rooftops, too? I don't know how annoying the police are about people standing on top of buildings."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Scarlet Spider webs the top corner of the building and launches himself up like a slingshot flipping over to land just beyond the other two. "Yeah, but there's a bit of a difference between taking pictures of some art from a sidewalk, and walking on the side of a building. One's a public thoroughfare meant for foot traffic, the others technically private property. Besides it makes the civilians nervous when beings of power beyond the mortal pale are lurking above them sinisterly." he adds in an amused tone, his fingers wiggling in a creepy manner as he says the word 'Lurking' "Next thing you know, the cops all have guns drawn on you, and you're labeled a public Menace." he adds.

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua glances at Nicky and Scarlet. "Should we move over a few buildings?" she asks. "Or will our leaving public view change things?" she asks as she is focusing, a faint red glow forming in the air in front of her. "Perhaps you'er right..." She squints. "That's not Spider-Man's normal costume is it? From what I hear there's quite a few people with spider-powers of late... I'm Rift. This is... The Shoe I guess. And you are?"

Shoe has posed:
Nicky shrugs a little. "Well, whichever. I don't see a door up to here, so I really doubt they can get up here without doing something crazyweird. I haven't been watching who is what around? I probably should, especially now. I just got these a few days ago.." He gestures down at the bronze footwear. "..and before, I couldn't do much other than be a little crazy."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Scarlet Spider shrugs "We hear sirens we cheese it, otherwise here's as good as anyplace." he says simply before snorting "You are correct, this /isn't/ Spider-Man's costume, he /wishes/ he had this kind of outfit." he replies nodding at Rift as she introduces himself, the lenses on his mask shifting as the 'eyebrow' of his mask raises a bit. "Who's your arch nemesis? The Doublemint Twins?" he asks curiously. "New to the mask and minions routine huh? You might want to re-think the name, it's almost as bad as that kid wanting to call himself 'The Asgardian' " he advises "I'm The Scarlet Spider by the way." he says in introduction..

Rift has posed:
Rift shrugs. "My name makes sense... so... what do we call you?" she asks softly, glancing at Nicky. "I was hoping to find someone with similar powers to me..." The faint red glow fades out as she decides she doesn't need it. "I don't hear anything... so I guess we're okay..."

Shoe has posed:
Nicky shrugs, "Yeah, I know it was lame, I haven't had any better ideas. Just, well. It's the shoes. I'm open to better ideas. I haven't been getting into anything much yet, I am really out of shape still. I'll need to get that figured out too." He shrugs some and looks off to the side in thought. "I really don't totally know what I am doing. I'm just hoping people don't peg me as some ridiculous supervillain."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Scarlet Spider nods resting his hands on his hips. "Well, think of a better name, definately. You don't want your name drawing attention to the source of your powers, otherwise they'll know what to attack first, then you're just a guy facing off against someone who can melt your face with a fart." he says sagely. Turning to look at Rift he shrugs a big. "Been doing this for the better part of a decade, I've yet to find two people with powers have the exact same set, even a pair of wonder twins I met once where pretty different from each other." he comments before he turns his gaze back on The Shoe. "Well, never monolog, or say things like 'Your Doom is at Hand!' And I think you'll come out on top on that one. Also, if you're main power is jumping and sticking to walls.. Parkour, parkour, parkour." he finishes..

Rift has posed:
Rift smiles softly. "Parkour is fun. So is flying." She smiles faintly. "Yeah - let's see... shoes, huh? Like Hermes, the Greek messenger-god with those fancy sandles?" she asks, nodding slowly. "Still - what should we call _you_, Mr. Spider?" she asks, gazing at Scarlet.

Shoe has posed:
Nicky shrugs, "He already said. Scarlet Spider. I still don't know what to call MYSELF though. I jump, I walk on walls, and I kick things really hard. Pretty basic, right? It's not really... poetic. I'm not used to making great poetry."

He thinks a bit. "I've done a tiny bit of parkour. Someone said I should try some capoeira - I have a couple months of that, but it's been a long time. I know some taekwondo..." A bit wry on that point. "It's been awhile for any physical stuff."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Hmming softly and pointing to The Shoe, he comments "What he said, You can call me Scarlet, call me Spider, just don't call me Shirley." he says before glancing back over The shoe "You can call yourself after your home town, or where you patrol. The Bronx Bruiser, The Queens Quipper, Brooklyn Bouncer.. " he says giving out a few suggestions before a light beeping can be heard from his mask. "hmmm, that's an alarm for an appointment I need to get to. If you want to discuss things, or have questions, email me." he says reaching into his utility belt and pulling out a pair of buisness cards of white paper, a red spider emblem in one corner with an email address in black block font.

Rift has posed:
Rift nods. "Well - thank you for the card. I normally live up north outside the city." She smiles as she tucks it away. "I might call you if I need your help sometime." A red portal tears open in front of her. "See you two later." She then steps through, the portal closing behind her.

Shoe has posed:
Nicky ohs, "Well, sure, I.." He blinks as Rift exits suddenly. "..Was kind of hoping to get to talk to her more. Oh well. I'm sure I will see her around somewhere..." He frowns a bit. "Darn it. I'll hold on to this and head back to Gotham." He slips the card into a pocket.

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Scarlet Spider nods.. "Good luck, and if you find yourself fighting a villian wanting to call themselves Bubbleyum.. just run the other way." he says cheekily stepping back towards the edge of the building before he falls backwards off it a faint thwip sound marking the fireing of a line that has him flinging himself through the concrete canyons of the city.
