Date of Scene: 15 April 2017
Location: Rooftop
Synopsis: Star Sapphire meets Superman and Power Girl
Cast of Characters: Star Sapphire, Power Girl, Superman

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire is standing on a rooftop, considering, in costume. She is glowing faintly because it's cold tonight, but barely noticable. She just gazes down, not sure what to do tonight. Her mind is in turmoil about an encounter she had the other day with a young girl who was being abused by her father. She intervened and saved her but... she isn't sure just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Well, she's onpatrol tonight. She creates a small violet drone (emblazoned with the Star Sapphire logo top and bottom) and sends it down to look for trouble, a glowing screen forming over her left eye for the video feed. She stays up here, having the drone survey for trouble.

Power Girl has posed:
And just like that, One of the drones is grabbed by an unseen force......and held by a very powerful hand.....until the view turns and.....seems to focus upon a pair of boobs in a white highleg leotard with a cleavage window....and it pans up, as it's lifted up. "What is it with you and drones, Star Sapphire?" Says Power Girl as she smiles into the view. "We need to talk for a bit anyways...." And she lets the drone go.

Superman has posed:
Superman, meanwhile, has just finished stopping a satellite from falling through the atmosphere over the Dead Sea. He flies it over and sets it down gently in Houston, where he pauses to have a brief, friendly conversation with the engineers behind it. He even spends a moment to let the citizens snap a few selfies with him. He then takes off into the air, moving casually along the current. He taps his communicator.

"Justice League. Anything interesting going on out there?"

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire sighs as she rubs her forehead and follows the drone, which fades into nothing as she lands. "It's... a long story. It's an easy way to survey what's going on, and more accepted these days so - I go with what works." She shrugs. "Hello again, Power Girl." She raises an eyebrow. "Why did you call me? This doesn't sound like a social call."

Power Girl has posed:
Power Girl smiles to Star Sapphire. "Sounds like a bit of a story." Power Girl says as she starts for a roof of a building. "Well....you and I have something in common, Sapphire. I didn't know much about your past, so I did a bit of research.....and asked around. From what I learned, you went sort of.....berserk in the past....when you first got that ring."

Power Girl then stops short as she taps her ear. "Power Girl here......I'm having a bit of a chat with Star Sapphire. And....from her past history, you may wish to meet her again...and see for yourself."She says to the person over the comms.

Then she turns back to Star Sapphire. "It's....not. I....was in STAR Labs....and....met the one that they cloned me from."

Superman has posed:
"Hmm," the Last Son of Krupton offers in reply to that. He pauses above Chicago, peering down at the city idly, his arms crossed over his muscled chest. He ponders this for a moment or two before he finally responds.

"Alright, Power Girl. Honing in your location now." As soon as his communicator catches where she is he takes off. He crosses the country in a minute or two. He could go faster, but he prefers not demolishing buildings as he passes them.

Superman slows outside of the city, and soon enough he comes flying into view. He pauses and hovers about ten feet away. He crosses his arms over his chest.

"Ladies."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire smiles. "The violet light is fueled by love - and you know my day job. Drones and all things that fly are my passion." She sighs softly. "I know I did some awful things in the past but it wasn't really my fault. I wish to make amends. Things are different now." She then looks up at Superman, as she rises and bows. "Superman," she states softly. Star Sapphire's costume is different now, and there isn't a manic look to her eyes. "I was just discussing my past with Power Girl... how we were both forced into doing reprehensible things beyond our control."

Power Girl has posed:
"I know, but we're both trying to make amends now." And while Power Girl is speaking, she turns her head to find Superman floating there. "Hey Superman. And it wasn't totally beyond my control." Power girl explains to Star Sapphire. "I could've completely refused to fight him, but then, he wouldn't have been able to prove to me what sort of person he was, and that's what counted the most. Of course, if he was anything like me, then he could easily take a beating, no matter how hard I hit him. It was when he broke off from fighting to make sure people were safe that showed that the people that made me were lying about the type of person he is. But it seems you have more control over your power now."

Superman has posed:
"What exactly is your situation, Star Sapphire? I forget how exactly your actions were not your own." Even though the Man of Steel is clearly grilling her, his tone does not become harsh. He glances to Power Girl and nods slowly to her explanation of things. Our enemies adore twisting us into villains, when it clearly is not the case.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods. "Have you heard of Larfleeze, also known as Agent Orange?" she asks. "He channels the entirety of the orange light of avarice and is quite insane. There is a large difference between now and then." She creates three chair contructs and sits on one, gesturing for the two to be seated.

She takes a deep breath. "I go by Star Sapphire because that is the name of the gemstone that channels the violet light of love. In the past, the entire gem was implanted into me... it was overwhelming, washing away anything of me and leaving me the Zamaron's puppet." She shrugs. "They eventually figured out it didn't work... and... decided to take a page from the Greens. They took the Star Sapphre Gem... and crafted a Central Battery from it - similar to the one on Oa. And... now I am... basically... a version of Green Lantern." She smiles faintly. "But instead of the green light of willpower, I wield the violet light of love. And due to my extended implantation of the Gem - I am one of the mots powerful of my Corps."

Power Girl has posed:
Power Girl quietly takes a seat and tilts her head. "That's definitely a strange way for it to happen. Though, I'll admit my own knowledge of the Green Lanterns is limited. So, that's just me." She then ponders. "Well.....this is a shot in the dark, but if the lanterns and rings can be created from emotions....isn't it possible that other emotions can create rings and lanterns as well?"

Superman has posed:
The Man of Tomorrow does not sit, though he does offer a nod to acknowledge the offer. "That is an interesting story. I admit I have not had a chance to speak with the Green Lantern on the subject of either your Corps...or you." He glances to Power Girl and cocks his head to the side. "You wanted me here, I believe?" His red cape flutters about behind him as he hovers over the city below. "Is everything alright?

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire glances at Power Girl. "It's possible. I've heard of whispers of something going on in Sector 666... the site of the worst massacre in universal history." She slumps. "There is also the prophecy of the War of Light. Queen Aga'po has mentioned it - that the entire Emotional Spectrum will find wielders... seven Corps of Lanterns." She ponders. "Though I personally know only of the Violets and Greens... and Orange, if that counts." She shrugs. "The red light of rage, the yellow light of fear, the blue light of hope, and the indigo light of compassion... I do not know of any users of them. Though again - I hear rumors." She gazes at Superman. "I... I wish to be considered to join the Justice League."

Power Girl has posed:
"That could become a rather.....testy sort of atmosphere." Power Girl then crosses her arms, and looks at Superman. "The entire emotional spectrum. That could really be combustible...."

*BOOOM*

And that makes Power Girl stand up from the chair. 'Speaking of combustable." Power Girl says as she looks past Star Sapphire....and looks to a faintly orange glow in the distance. "Well...this is a good time to prove yourself, Star Sapphire." Power Girl says as she takes off into the sky.....

Superman has posed:
The man with the 'S' on his chest furrows his brow a bit when Star Sapphire says she wants to join the League, and he opens his mouth as if to say something. Then, of course, comes the noise. He glances between Power Girl and Star Sapphire and flies up a bit higher to look in the direction of the glow. He enhances his vision to get a good look at what exactly is going on. "Remember that I do not make these decisions on my own. We are not a dictatorship."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods. "I am aware of that, Superman," she states. "However, your endorsement would mean much." She glances over as she nods, then rises up and flies in that direction, wondering what's going on, her aura glowing brighter to shield her from heat. She approaches the source of the flames, wondering what's going on... and if it's a fire, what she can do about it. She doesn't have the brute strength of the Kryptonians... but the versatility of her constructs cannot be denied.

Power Girl has posed:
What Power Girl and Superman can see is flames engulfing the lower floor of an apartment building. The lowest floor in fact. And since it's late, there are a LOT of people in the apartment building, quite a few families, and from where the fire is, some of the fire exits are cut off. It's such an intense heat that it's even melting the metal in the support beams, so the building is already starting to lean.
