Rooftop Meetup
Date of Scene: 10 June 2018
Location: Manhattan, New York City
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Twitch, Power Girl

Twitch has posed:
It's a nice night to be out and about on the rooftops of Manhattan. There's a clear sky and despite the light pollution stars are visible. Twitch is in his usual neighborhood, working on getting in a good workout while patrolling for criminal activity. Running across roofs at a decent clip he leaps from one to the next, doing a flip in the air to enjoy the sensation of freedom that his agility grants him. From roof to roof the young man moves, working up a decent sweat and starting to breathe heavier from the exertion. One roof has a low brick wall around it, not much more than two feet tall. As Twitch runs across it he hops up from the roof to the top of the little wall, planting his foot hard so he'll have good footing before making the leap to the next rooftop. Unfortunately, the bricks in the wall have other plans and start to give way beneath the young man's weight. As he begins to falls he lets out a surprised and disappointed yell, "Oh crap!"

Power Girl has posed:
The fall isn't likely to be fatal. However, despite the fact that Tyler is pretty safe from losing his life, he's also pretty lucky- because flying overhead is Power Girl- a person who (again, luckily for Tyler) can hear the entire city of New York right now.

From a point in the sky so far away that she is almost impossible to see- if not wholly impossible for normal people- Power Girl descends in fractions of a second.

The first thing that Twitch is likely to feel to herald her presence is the sensation of... Well, hanging. By his shirt, specifically. This should of course be impossible, because all that's behind him is open air- but as if his collar were stuck on a rock, he is suspended.

"You should probably be more careful."

Twitch has posed:
Even as he starts to fall Tyler whips his right arm forward, releasing a grappling hook from his hand to sail across the space between buildings. Before it can connect he finds himself hanging in the air! It's a strange sensation and he twists to try to see what exactly is happening to him. When he sees who's got him his eyes go as wide as it's possible for them to get and his mouth falls open behind his bandana. "Whoa!" He stares for another second. "Thank you so much!" Now that he's got an idea of what's going on he seems surprisingly okay with being held in the air. "Yeah, I gotta start checking to make sure the sides of rooftops aren't going to break on me somehow. That's the second time something like that happened to me."

Power Girl has posed:
Without much hesitation, Power Girl moves the man over a little further onto the roof proper, so that he can stand on his own. She, herself, is simply floating there as if that's a thing that anyone else could do.

"You're uh... Welcome." she states, folding her arms quietly and raising a brow. "To be fair, I really would think that that's lesson number one. Look where you leap, make sure that wherever you're going to stand isn't going to not be there when you get there, all those... Specfics."

Twitch has posed:
"I got the looking where I leap thing down. I usually overshoot the edge of the roof I jump to as much as I can," says Twitch as he gets back to his feet and starts to retract his grappling hook and the cord attached to it. "It's hard to tell when things are going to fall apart under without testing it first, you know? That's kind of why I was out here, seeing if everything would hold up." He holds up the hook, "I try to keep this in my hand, in case I botch a jump somehow." Once the grappling hook and it's cord are raveled he twists a little bit and crosses his arm across his body, pulling it tight to stretch his muscles, "It's really cool to meet you, though! I'm Twitch. I just kind of got into the supehero thing."

Power Girl has posed:
There's a minor shrug, that comes at that point. Power Girl looks down at the ground, and then back up at Twitch. "Well, good to meet you, Twitch." she states, slipping her hands back down and placing her hands on her hips. "I'm Power Girl. I've been doing this... Quite a while. If you're testing stuff out, you might want to just scout out the rooftops manually. Maybe just... Take the stairs for a few of them. Figure out which ones are safe."

Twitch has posed:
"It's really cool to meet you!" says Twitch, finding himself smiling again. Then his head nods, "That's not a bad idea, but I'm not always around here. Just usually." His shoulders shrug and he moves to stretch out his other arm, "It's kind of tough just starting on this stuff. I can blow through all the stuff at a parkour park pretty easy, but it's just not the same as doing it for real. I think I need to practice falling off of stuff and using the grappling hook to catch myself, but that seems pretty dangerous." He shrugs and starts to stretch something else, "I can't believe I'm getting to meet you, though. I think you're really cool. I'm not like a superhero nerd or anything, though I probably should be, but you fought Darkseid! You're the real deal. I'm never going to be as powerful as you are, but I hope I can help people, too."

Power Girl has posed:
Power Girl seems to be a little used to some level of fanfare, but she herself doesn't necessarily feel particularly famous. She offers this light sigh as Tyler speaks, not quite indignant- but never one for ceremony. "Well, yeah. It's all going to be tough. Starting, going on and on every day, waking up in the morning after. It's never easy, and it never really gets any easier. Not sure if it's a good idea to practice falling, but I've had kind of a handle on falling for a long time. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Once you do, I'm sure you'll get to work making a difference. Just try not to die by accident along the way."

Twitch has posed:
"I'm okay with tough. I've actually been training for years before this to make sure I'm as ready as I can be, you know?" Tyler speaks as he moves to yet another stretch, keeping his muscles from tightening up too much. "You don't seem to have much to worry about when it comes to gravity," there's a smile beneath the mask. "I already helped out a little the other day. Me and another super took down some crooks who were robbing a shopping center. There were five of them and we went through them all in a couple of seconds." He sounds proud of himself. "Anyway, do you have any other advice or anything you wished that you knew when you first got started?"

Power Girl has posed:
Power Girl nods along a few times, but eventually seems to be drifting away in order to continue with her night. "Well, congratulations, then. Just be advised, winning is good- but don't rest on your laurels. It doesn't get any easier." with that repeitition of her message, he asks his final question. She shrugs. "Biggest thing I learned is... No matter who you are, or how tough you are, someone can still hurt you. Never take that for granted."

At that point, she's moving into the sky, and flying in the direction of Metropolis.
