Synopsis: Andrea talks to Jean Grey about what went down with the Shredder. Jean Grey is going to take action into her own hands. Watch out!
Cast of Characters: Phoenix, Rage

Phoenix has posed:
There's not much time for relaxation in Jean Grey's schedule since she's taken the reigns as Headmistress of Xavier's School. But when she gets a moment, she steals her moments, although she still tries to remain visible enough as to be approachable to students and staff. At the moment she's reclined on a lounge chair in the backyard, sunglasses over her eyes, as she's dressed most casually in skinny jeans and tank top, albeit featuring a particular golden raptor emblem that may be more familiar to some than others.

Rage has posed:
Making her way through the yard is Andrea, dressed in a pair of destroyed slim jeans and a simple NYU baggy light weight sweater that hangs off the shoulder. As she moves through the grounds, she hears a few shouts of other students calling out to her, waving and looking to get her attention. The popstar waves back in return, offering up a quick, half guarded smile before she gives a pause at the sight of Jean lounging. She furrows her brows, then heads over to her as she clears her throat. "Miss Grey. Hey there. Sorry if I'm interrupting .. thing we can talk for a minute? About something important?"

Phoenix has posed:
Jean turns her head towards Andrea as the girl approaches her, popstar or not, Jean tends to treat people as people, leaving fame, station and titles for others to worry about. Thus she doesn't make a scene, as one would expect of faculty members. "Andrea...," she sits up and lifts her sunglasses atop her head, "of course we can talk...what happened?" She assumes something important means some sort of trouble or other, based on her experience with the school from her time as a student, all the way to now.

Rage has posed:
"I'm sure by now you've heard the news of the incident at the coffee shop in the city the other day. I know there is a lot of speculation about what happened." Andrea says as she rocks on her feet. "Tommy, his brother Billy and I went into the city to get coffee before a shopping trip and we were attacked by these people that were kinda like .. cyborgs. They had blades and swords coming out of their arms. Billy was able to teleport the innocent bystanders out.. but.. we had to defend ourselves..." She trails off. ".. and .. I did something.. I.. killed.. one of them.. when I wolfed out. It was in self defense and .. um... I had no choice." She says as she wrings her hands together, pausing to let it digest.

Phoenix has posed:
Jean looks quite somber as Andrea relays to her the experiences from the other day. It naturally wasn't quite detailed enough to point at Xavier School students, and this makes it much more personal than just another incident bordering Mutant Town.

"Everyday mutant haters don't come with cybernetic parts," Jean muses, "there's a bigger threat afoot than just some everyday hate group." She seems pleased with Billy's actions as described, though doesn't delay on it, seeing as Billy is not there to hear any praise directed at him. She does, however, look quite unhappy to say the least about Andrea killing one of them, though she says nothing to that affect. She just looks gravely at Andrea. "There is always choice, Andrea. There's the choice they make, and then there's the choice we make...the person you killed, was he a cyborg?" Beyond her suggestion that there's always choice, there's no undressing or tongue lashing of Andrea, just a grave look without any words spoken to that matter.

Rage has posed:
"I didn't have a choice." Andrea says as she lets out a breath. "This lady she was .. pretending to be a barista. She leaped over the desk and tried to kill Mason Steele. He was there with us. They shot me with bullets and they stabbed me through the chest. It was me or them." She pats herself on the chest gently. "I didn't want to kill her. But she.. had blades that came out of her wrists and I couldn't let her kill Mason. When my claws hit her, computer parts came out of her, and blood. Then their leader, he stabbed me through the chest with a sword and I blacked out. I was told his name is Donald Pierce." She rubs her neck. "The new student named Josh. He saved my life. His mutant power came out and he healed me by accident. I think I would have died otherwise. You should see the scars. I ended up talking him off a bridge because he was going to kill himself. His parents kicked him out after finding out he was a mutant. I guess his parents are apart of this mutant hating group called the Friends of Humanity."

Phoenix has posed:
Jean reaches to take a hold of Andrea's hand if she would allow it, trying to draw her nearer for comfort, plotting no doubt on an upcoming embrace unless Andrea outright declines the gesture. "I know it seems that way," Jean speaks in a soft tone as she digs her deep green eyes into Andrea's own. When more details are revealed, Jean frowns, "it sounds like New York City isn't safe for students at the moment, what you're describing sounds like a mob hit." Then the name is mentioned, and Jean looks considerably more grave, "Donald Pierce is a world of trouble..., you did well, but..." there's always a but, "I want you and your friends to avoid going to the city if at all possible. It's seems like it just got a lot more dangerous to mutants than it normally is..."

Hearing Andrea rely the story of Josh, how she met him, and how she helped him get into the school, she reaches to playfully ruffle Andrea's hair. "That was very responsible of you Andrea, glad he was there, and he should be glad you were there..."

Rage has posed:
Squeezing her hand back, Andrea leans into her when guided. returning the hug, she lets out a soft sigh. "There's more. I'm in trouble, Miss Grey. This afternoon I was invited to a meeting to talk about a charity event I was asked to perform at, but it was a set up." She bites on her bottom lip. "It went through my lawyers and agents and seemed legit. His name is Oroku Saki. He runs a biomed and robotics company called StockGen. Sounds made up. He .." She pauses, giving a visible sniff. "He has the tape of the coffee shop. He won't tell me how he got it, but I'm assuming dirty cops.., but he has the tape of us fighting.. of me shifting...of Tommy, Billy .. and... Mason... I saw Mason do something on the tape. He said that he is going to release it to the media if I do not cooperate with him. He wants a sample of my blood to 'help people' and he wants the names of my friends. I stalled him for time with a counter offer, told him he can have my blood if I get the tape and he can track down the guys who attacked me. He didn't really agree to it, and I left. Told him I'm willing to be a martyr if it means protecting my friends. I wasn't going to give them up. He went from nice guy to creepy bad movie villain in like two minutes." She takes in a deep breath. ".. Can you go into my head and ... see what I saw? You can do that, right? You or Emma. He's dangerous and I think he means it. He's going to expose me .. and Mason..."

Phoenix has posed:
Jean takes a moment to hold Andrea in a comforting embrace, whispering to the girl, "a moment...let's settle before moving onwards." She tries to cheat a bit with empathy to calm the girl a bit if required, wanting to keep this discussion as calm and collected as possible, considering the rather grave news she's hearing. Eventually she releases Andrea from the embrace, and looks distinctly less pleasant when she hears what comes next. Andrea has only just met Jean recently, and she's a student, it likely she knows her well enough to know that vicious glint in her eye is quite unusual. "I can do more than that..." Jean offers, as she does hold gently to Andrea's head, thumbs against each of her temples, "I want to help you in this case...nobody threatens my students like this...nobody." The tone of her voice suddenly becomes very possessive, and it seems quite unlike the woman who earlier told Andrea there's always a choice. "Set another meeting with him, tell him he can have your blood. I will go with you to this meeting...he will stop picking on you afterwards. I guarantee that much."

Rage has posed:
Taking in a deep breath, Andrea gives a slow nod of her head, leaning foreward as she feels her thumbs against her temples, conjuring up the image of the Japanese man from her memories. The room and dojo, the conversation. She calms down a bit at the urgings of her Professor. "They made my security detail wait outside the room. He made it clear he wanted to have a one on one conversation with me. I don't know if he made any copies of the tape, but he played it back for me. Made sure to highlight how much my friends seem to care about me when I was on the ground bleeding out." She glances upwards at the sky for a moment, then lets out a slow breath. "This Donald Pierce guy has attacked me twice now and Josh says they will probably do it again. He was apart of their group until he found out he was a mutant. Irony, huh? I'm sure he can lead us to the bad guys, some of their hang outs and recruiting areas." She pauses for a moment in thought as if she was trying to work out any other details, then shakes her head.

Phoenix has posed:
"He will never know I'm there until it's too late, don't worry, Andrea...I'll put a stop to this." Jean seems rather adamant about it, and if one is keen to pick on the subtext of her words, she is beyond furious at this Oroku Saki guy. "Naturally, beyond the restriction on the rest of the student body. You are explicitly forbidden to leave the school grounds until we manage to solve the Donald Pierce problem...what you're tellin me is that he's tracking you." Jean pauses a moment to let that sink in, so Andrea realizes it's much more protection than punishment, "he will not dare attack you in this school. It will be the end of him. But outside, you're vulnerable...so until I say otherwise. You don't leave the school, can you promise me that much?" Jean looks at Andrea intently, before adding as an after thought, "a one time exception will be our date with Mr. Oroku Saki."

What she learns about Josh, she doesn't comment on, but she does know she'll need to meet with the new student ASAP.

Rage has posed:
".. Um.. Sure... it's just .. I don't live here.. technically. I just drive in with my chaffauer and my security detail using a dummy car. I also have events to attend such as autograph signings, studio work, three modeling gigs, one of which is in Paris over the weekend.." Andrea trails off, then shakes her head. "All of which can be cancelled I am sure. Nothing is more important right now. Nevermind.. I'll tell my agent to rebook. I'll make a post on social that I'm in the UK or something on vacation. Throw everyone off. I'll post some old pictures or something." She takes in a deep breath, and lets it out as she glances back to her teacher. ".. are you a bad ass on the downlow or something? What are you going to do?"

Phoenix has posed:
"Andrea, do you understand this Donald Pierce has decided to end you?" Jean sounds extremely harsh at this point, when she makes a call on a student in the school based on identifiable attempts on her life, and she responds with the kind of mundane concerns that stop mattering the second one's life is put in danger. "If you want to be in the obituaries, by all means, continue your regular routine where Donald Pierce and this Oroku Saki guy shown the ability to locate you with ease. If you want to stay alive, you cancel all the thing that don't matter, and stay here, there's more than enough room to house you." When Andrea changes tone and agrees, Jean visibly relaxes and nods, "good."

Asked if she's a badass on the downlow, Jean laughs, "I'm nothing of the sort, I'm just in charge of your education and well being while you're a student at this school. That means that anyone who is after your life, has a real big problem with me. I am very good at solving problems." While being rather generic in general, somehow there's a sense Jean just spoke like a villain on a mafia flick. "I am not going to do anything to harm Oroku Saki, I will just explain to him in no ambigious terms that he has no choice but to leave you be..." she doesn't mention Donald Pierce, that guy made an attempt on Andrea's life, he's probably a goner.

Rage has posed:
"... Okay.." Andrea trails off for a bit as he listens to her. "I trust you. Just be careful. He seemed really smart Kinda guy that holds a lot of cards." She rubs her shoulder gently, then glances down at her phone as it pings. "It's Mason. I need to message him back. He was here when I was injured. He drove me over. He um.. he ... knows.. about the school and he promised he won't say a word, but.. after what I saw on the tape... I think.." She pauses. "I think he is one of us, even if he's in denial about it. I saw him yank the granite off the coffee bar and he swung it like a baseball bat. It musta weighed a thousand pounds or something. I dunno.. I saw him on the tape. He took out three people with one swing. He's a skinny guy with amazing abs. No way he can do that normally. I just don't know why with our history and .. everything we went through, why he would hide it from me." She says a bit hurt. "The world, yes.. but me?" She sighs softly as she taps at the glass to send a reply. "Thank you, I'll get back to this Saki guy and I'll tell you when the next meeting is."

Phoenix has posed:
"He may have all the cards," Jean remarks, "but he'll find I have the entire casino." As Andrea tells more about Mason, Jean notes, "you'd be wise to learn from him, hiding it is better than flaunting it." She helpfully adds, "think of it this way, you're just as normal as everyone else, you just have the means to do more when called for...but at other times, best be smart than foolish." She puts her sunglasses back on, but gets up and heads in the direction of the Mansion, "don't mention it, and heed my warning, stay in as much as you can."
