Location: New York City
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Sub-Mariner, Captain America, Emma Frost

Sub-Mariner has posed:
It was a sunny and beautiful day in New York. Namor, the Sub-Mariner was flying above the city, heading for Oracle Tower, downtown. Flying over Forest Hills Stadium, Namor notes that there appears to be some event going on. Deciding to check it out, Namor hovers closer, checking things out with a suspicious, and arrogant air. As always. The red, white and blue of the United States was everywhere. Perhaps it was a "rah rah" event, just like in the days of the Great World War. This brought to mind many deeds that the Invaders had accomplished back in those times, a painful flashback for Namor's jumbled memory. Cheers, chants, flags, and music seems to be everywhere as Namor floats above the din. It was LOUD.

Captain America has posed:
It's a perfect morning for a pep rally, blue skies overhead and the band playing those cheery tunes that waft out in all directions. Streamers flow through the crowd and smiling faces sing along with the patriotic tunes.

There are even a few people mixed in the crowd pretending not to have a good time who can't help but smile as the music carries around.

Already it's been a rather fun and uplifting event with free admittance to anyone who wanted in and free hotdogs provided on site. Streamers flow softly in the wind and little American flags are all abound.

From off to one side Captain America waits, looking down towards his wrist-watch with sleeve slid up so he can give a good count to himself for his timing. It'd been a long time since he'd done a bit of PR like this but hey it was for an old friend so there wasn't much to spend on this whole thing but time. The fact that the people loved it was enough to make the whole thing worth while.

A single hand runs down his face as his attention turns to one side looking over at the shield in his hand to double check his cue card. This wasn't the forties anymore and the cuecard itself was actually a small scrolling teleprompter with his whole little speech cued up and ready to go in case he stumbled at any point along the line.

As the music hits just that right point Cap gives one last look to the stage crew before bursting out from behind the oversized American flag backing the stage. Star Spangled man plays from the fully staffed band as the backing is torn open for a moment and his springs onto stage. It flutters back to a close the curtains themselves able to easily shift back into place.

Emma Frost has posed:
Staying in the back of the stage, Emma is busying herself with a phone in her hand and her free hand she tucks a few strands of blonde hair back behind her ear. The headmistress of the Academy of Tomorrow is busy on the social media while Steve is out on stage selling the crowd on the new deal that's been set up between the school and how they've struck a deal to help with SHIELD and the Avengers in a positive way to help Metropolis, New York, and Gotham in a positive manner with outreaching programs to clean up the streets and some building projects.

Frost meanwhile is busy with her device and silences a call, not wanting to be speaking on the phone while Steve is busy doing his schtick.

Sub-Mariner has posed:
Watching from a distance, Namor regards the scene with a thoughtful expression. As the wings on his ankles beat steadily, Namor floats above the crowd, almost invisible behind the shield of trees and the distraction of the spectacle on stage. The sound of the music is loud to the ears of the Prince of Atlantis, but he tries to ignore it as the Captain bursts onto the scene.

Now that was an interesting scene. So, this was one of those "pep" rallies, just like the old days, 70+ years ago. It was like a blast from the past as Namor regards everything taking place. Namor's eyes go distant as he remembers the good times...and the bad times of those years so long ago, and the comraderie and friendships of those days. It almost made Namor feel...nostalgic, if he could feel those feelings. Strange feelings indeed. Almost...warm feelings.

Looking at the stage, and who was there, Namor starts to consider...perhaps this whole she-bang might due with some funding from Oracle Inc...and what was that accounting or marketing lackey telling him the other day? "Oracle needs some positive publicity for a change." Hurumph. Maybe.

Captain America has posed:
Out come the women for eye candy, now joined by men for eyecandy as well. The whole things been slightly modernized and it's clear by the point the beat drops in the remix of Star-Spangled man that Cap just died a little inside. Yet he's doing an excellent job of keeping a facade as he works through the motions. Sure now he's selling student loans rather then war bonds but this was just a one time thing. He just needed to make it through a few stanza's of this nonsence.

Still he bounds around standing with pride as the audience is enraptured by the performance, his backup singers throwing in a bit of modern dance that makes cap have to fight very hard to keep on point for his performance as he talks about the 'exciting new career opportunities' with SHIELD, the Avengers, and The Academy of Tomorrow.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma's free hand lowers as her head lifts up at the music changes to something more modern and she sighs before burying her face in her palm. "Oh god no..." She groans, before turning on her heal, and making her way towards the front of the stage to stand next to Steve and join him in his sales pitch.

She's wearing a navy blue pant suit with pearls on and a charming red blouse. Carefully and tastefully wearing the red white and blues, with her hair balled up into a tight bun, the CEO takes in a breath while smiling playfully at Steve as part of her performance.

Sub-Mariner has posed:
Namor makes a decision. Namor maneuvers down closer to the stage, and lands near Captain America and Emma Frost. Waving to the shocked crowd, Namor says, over the music in his deep voice, "Ladies and Gentlemen! I share Captain America's vision here! My company, Oracle Inc., will match any fundraising discussed here, in order to make this city a better place! You have the word of Prince Namor of Atlantis!"

Namor nods, and smiles, his arms wide in a gesture of solidarity with everyone present. His eyes find Captain America's and Emma Frost's. Namor nods, smiling, and says, quietly so only they can hear. "It is good to see you both."

Captain America has posed:
It's near the end of the pitch when Namor comes down. Cap was already mid handshake with Ms.Frost as per the script, a big smile for the cameras as he gets ready to say the most embarrassing corporate, peer reviewed line of this whole rally. Thank goodness for Namor!

The crowd thinking it just another part of the show roars into full applause as Namor lands, and gives his own schpeel. Using the quick thinking that helped win the war Cap puts an arm around both Namor and Emma. "You know if you hadn't have shown up I might have walked off." Rogers comments from the corner of his bright award winning smile, the sea of cameras flashing up towards the stage as daytime fireworks shoot off into the sky forming first the American Flag, and then the symbol of the Academy of Tomorrow, and then the Avengers logo, and finally the SHIELD logo. A slight aside to emma from the other side of his smile quiet enough the mic can't pic it up. "Tell me the music wasn't your idea."

Emma Frost has posed:
"You almost offend me Steve." Frost says, under her breath, her teeth closed but her mouth wide in a wonderful practiced smile. "I have much better taste than that." With her outside arm lifted up and high in a pleasant wave towards the crowds and cameras, the telepath lifts her arm behind Steve to rest on the small of his back.

"Namor! What a pleasant surprise!" The white queen says with a kind wink towards the fellow mutant, not that anyone here knows of her secret abilities.

Sub-Mariner has posed:
Accepting the embrace from Captain America, Namor nods, his eyes watching Emma while embracing his "old friend". "Indeed Captain. It was fortuitous timing indeed. I just happened by." There were very few, in fact you could count them on one hand, how many people Namor would allow to embrace him. Cap was one of them. "I see that you still do this events, even decades after the War. Interesting."

Namor listens to Emma's words, and he allows himself a smile for this charming, very attractive woman. "I expect she does, indeed, have better taste than that. Steve." Namor grins, and turns his charm on the ravishing woman in front of him. The wink simply spurs him on. "The honor and pleasure is all mine, Emma. It is good to see you. I see you are bringing class and sophistication to this assembly, and specifically, our fine Captain here." Namor's voice was dripping with his best version of charm.

Captain America has posed:
"If I hadn't read the script, I'd have assumed you'd planed it Namor." A light chuckle escaping his lips. There's at least one thing that's stayed the same after all of these years. From behind in the middle of the crowd a man dressed as Adolf Hitler himself... minus the swastikas or anything that might offend of course. He creeps slowly along behind the group of three, as cap gives a slight sigh through his smile. "Remind me to have a word with our friend about this."

He turns on the spot from the improvised little pow wow to land a crushing blow that sends the man dressed as Adolf falling down to the ground. Of course anyone who's directly to the sides or behind the stage would see plain as day he never connects, but that's half the magic. The music swelling at just the right moment with a thunderous boom to back the impact of the strike.

He turns back to face the crowd once again joining in on the waving with that fresh faced smile from behind his much more modernized costume. "Still, I needed a friendly face or two after this." The wave a very well practiced parade wave as he strikes his most heroic pose.
