Synopsis: Tommy meets Tyler on his way back home from fighting Shredder. Various tales are told, Josh heals some wounds, and Andrea storms away in squeeking wolf slippers.
Cast of Characters: Speed, Twitch, Elixir, Rage

Speed has posed:
Too long of a lockdown makes Tommy a dull boy. So, rather than let that happen the speedster took matters into his own hands and took a little run to the city to hit up Club Evolution where he scored a couple of drinks and met up with some old friends before making the trek home back to the school. Coming to a stop on Greymalkin Lane, he gives himself a once over to make sure his misdeeds weren't too obvious and to pop a couple of mints to cover the smell of booze on his breath. He'd had a good night and blown off some steam, the last thing he needed now was to get busted.

Twitch has posed:
Tyler's motorcycle pulls onto Greymalkin Lane, smoothly eating up the distance towards the mansion. While the bike rolls along as evenly as ever it's rider is definitely not doing so hot. Since getting his ass handed to him the teenager had at least planned ahead and gotten changed into normal street clothes, but the fact that blood is trickling down his face from his chin and out of the bottom of his full face helmet may present some problems. When he spots Tommy hanging out in front of the school he lets out a sigh. There's no reason to avoid him since he'll probably see eventually anyway, so Tyler pulls his bike alongside the speedster and says rather lamely, "Hey man."

Speed has posed:
When the bike pulls into view, Tommy thinks about bolting, but at that point if it's Logan on the thing, he's already caught, so he stands his ground and is rewarded with the sound of Tyler's voice from the rider. Tommy let's out a sigh, "Hey man," he says coming over. "Thank god it's you and not one of the staff," he says as his nervousness subsides and he can take a moment to appreciate the ride, "Great bike," he begins, but his scan back and forth over the bike stops when he sees blood dripping from Tyler's helmet. "Shit, dude, what happened?" he asks.

Twitch has posed:
"You worried about someone seeing you? Just say you were out in West Chester," Tyler suggests as he plants his feet firmly on the ground and moves his body stiffly. "Thanks. It was my grandfather's before he died. He bought it after seeing one of the old Terminator movies." He coughs into his helmet and blood splatters the inside of his face shield. "A friend of mine was being blackmailed. So I handled it." He pulls off the helmet and grabs a handkerchief from his back pocket to clean off the inside of his helmet. His head sags down, "Can you do me a favor and keep this quiet until I can find that Josh dude? I..." His eyes close and he nearly lets out a sob, barely keeping it in, "I don't know what to tell anybody if they ask me what happened."

Speed has posed:
Tommy cocks his head, "Yeah, okay good point," he says about the Westchester thing. Despite missing the obvious excuse to use he does spot the stiff movement as Tyler plants his feet. "Very cool, I mean never had the use for one myself, but damn it looks awesome."

The tale of what happened though, that gets Tommy to focus, especially when the helmet comes off. "You sure you handled it, man?" he asks. "Looks like you took a beating."

The sob takes Tommy by surprise, and the emotion, he turns his head to give Tyler some space so he's not gawking at him while he's having a moment. "Yeah man, no problem. Didn't see a thing. But what the hell happened man? Like with your power, who can even do that to you?"

Twitch has posed:
"You should see the other guys," Tyler tries to joke, taking a deep breath to get his emotions back under control. He wipes at his bloody face with his handkerchief, holding it in place on his chin to try to get it to stop bleeding again. "I got what they were holding over my friend. Shouldn't be any more trouble from them." The helmet is set down on the seat in front of him. "Dude was a total bad ass. I've never seen anything like him and I've been fighting for years. Took out his guards no problem, barely beat him. I didn't think anybody without obvious powers could stand a chance against me, you know?" Tyler closes his eyes to fight back his visible emotions again, "I was wrong. He might have killed me." He sniffs deeply, then coughs and spits on the ground away from Tommy, "But it's handled now. That's what matters."

Speed has posed:
Tommy doesn't react to the joke beyond a slight, half-hearted turn of a lip. He does turn back to look over at Tyler, there is something like sympathy in the normally glib speedster's expression. "I've had some hard fights too, even with my powers, it's rough, don't worry, no judgements. You stood up for your people, and beat down this other guy, that's what matters, and if they come back around, let me know, we can double up on this no-power asshole and make sure he doesn't mess with us again."

There is a bit of concern on Tommy's face though, "And you're sure you're alright though, right?"

Twitch has posed:
Pulling his handkerchief from his chin Tyler looks at for a moment, then replaces it, "Thanks, man. If he gives me any more trouble I'll let you know and we'll take care of it." He looks away, off into the distance, sniffs softly, then looks back to Tommy, "I have no idea if I'm alright. I think I might have a broken rib, my face got cut, I was punch drunk for a minute so I might have had a concussion." Turning away he coughs some more, then wraps his arms around his chest to hug himself gently. "What should I tell people if they see me before I can get fixed up? My bike's too pristine to say I took a spill."

Speed has posed:
Tommy turns away when Tyler does, giving him space again to turn back when he answers.

"Hey, we're on the team, I'd do it for any of you," he says with a shrug about the offer to help out.

"And yeah, got my ass whooped by a dude down at Mutant Town once, it was like that, didn't know what the hell was up, just curled up and-" he shakes his head. "Probably not helping, right? Anyhow, we'll say we were out sparring or something, I picked you up and ran to mess with you, but I fucked up and dropped you. That work? I figure it explains the injuries and we don't have to mess up your bike to make it believable. Just hope we find the new kid to patch you up before we need to tell it in front of a telepath."

Twitch has posed:
"Okay, dude." Tyler says softly as he seems to finish holding his handkerchief in place on his face and replaces it in his pocket. "That sucks. I guess anybody can get their ass handed to them if they're not careful, or whatever," he says regarding Tommy's unfortunate story. Then Tyler nods a couple of times, "Sounds good. Sparring, then you took me for a run and I slipped out of your grip and got messed up. I'd buy that." Letting out a deep breath in a sigh, he shows Tommy a strained smile. At least all his teeth are still there, "I gotta be able to laugh about that one."

Speed has posed:
Tommy offers a tight smile, "Yeah, it sucked, but learned to hit first, guy rung my bell right off and it was all down hill from there," he says, he shrugs it off like it's no big thing even if his expression didn't sell it. He nods, "Fits, we've been cooped up for a bit, a little messing around is to be expected.

The teeth bit gets a grin, "Yeah, still look good for your girl that way," he says. "Maybe we should let her know before we find Josh, get some sympathy?" a pause as he considers. "Or is that more likely to get her other side out?" he chuckles lightly at that.

Twitch has posed:
"Hit first. That's a good thing to try to do," Tyler agrees before he slowly bends down to look at himself in one of the bike's mirrors. Upon seeing his face he winces again and lets out a deep sigh. He gradually straightens back up and tells Tommy, smiling genuinely, "I wouldn't mind having her come look after me until I can get patched up. I don't think she'll wolf out, but if she does you can get us out of there before she eats us, right?"

Speed has posed:
Tommy nods. "Yep, be like Han," he says of shooting or in this case hitting first.

"It's not so bad," he says nodding at Tyler's chin. "Besides whatever mojo Josh has probably doesn't leave scars."

"Oh you got it, she goes furry on us I'll have us both out of there before bite one," Tommy laughs. "But yeah, I figure then the plan should be get back to the school. If you don't think it'll mess you up more, with the concussion I can run you to your room real quick, from there we just need to text Andrea and you're all set. Sound good?"

Twitch has posed:
"I hope there won't be a scar. If there is I'll come up with a lie about fighting gangsters or something," Tyler says to Tommy, managing yet another smile. The conversation seems to be doing wonders for him. Emotionally, at least. Then he finds himself nodding, "Okay. We can park the bike out here in the woods, you give me a lift to my room and then I shoot Andrea a text. All makes sense to me." He looks around for a good spot to move his motorcycle to where it won't be visible from the road. "You're not bad at covering this crap up. I think we're going to be pretty good friends." Pulling the helmet on he says, "Just give me a second." Then he goes and quickly drives the bike so that it's behind some pine trees where it hopefully isn't visible. Tyler comes out without the helmet and says, "Alright. Let's hope nobody with super vision or whatever can tell what we're doing on the way in."

Speed has posed:
"Definitely, like a twenty gangsters at least. The best among them left you with that scar..." Tommy says with a grin. "Great, stash your bike and we'll get going," he says grinning at the friends part. "Yeah, sort of getting that feeling as well," he says. "And definitely not my first cover up and by the looks of things totally not my last."

He waits by the road when Tyler gets his bike stashed and then when he's ready, "Or telepaths, those are the real trouble," he says. "And probably best to go piggy back style, I know I'm skinny but my powers included a massive strength buff," he explains. "Either that or I basket carry."

Twitch has posed:
"Twenty guys with Uzis. I literally got shot in the chin. It sucked," Tyler says as he makes his way back from where he dropped off his motorcycle. "Alright, I'll hop on your back. Seems like the least awkward way to do this." Then he asks, "Who all is a telepath? Not that it really matters, they'll either read my mind or not. I just don't want to get in trouble for this on my second week at the school." He prepares himself to hop up onto Tommy's back, ready to get this over with, "How strong are you, anyway?"

Speed has posed:
"Perfect," Tommy grins at the story.

"Not sure on the telepath front, but the rumor is Ms. Braddock for sure," he says. "Not sure if any of the students are, but they shouldn't be too hard to find, they'll be the ones punching me for what's on my mind."

Tommy crouches to let Tyler on. "Can bench six-hundred, last time I checked, leg press like a thousand. When I got my speed, my body got a ton stronger and durable to compensate."

Twitch has posed:
"Ms Braddock? Yeah, she mentioned that. Super hot and a telepath, that lady's something else. If I were older..." Tyler trails off before finishing his statement. "Well, I'm sure she can tell what's on literally every straight dude's mind when she's around even without powers."

"Hell yeah! That's awesome!" Tyler tells Tommy when informed of the increase in strength that came with his speed. He climbs slowly onto Tommy's back, still moving gingerly due to his injuries, especially his ribs based on the way he bends his body sluggishly and with a wince.

Speed has posed:
"Right?" Tommy says of Ms. Braddock. "And yeah, I guess it's not hard to figure out."

"The strength's pretty handy," he says, before frowning at how gingerly Tyler gets onto his back. "Jeeze man, going to try not to shake you apart with this one. Hold on tight."

Then Tommy is off like a shot. Slow, apparently means a very different thing for a speedster. For Tommy the world slows and he navigates the halls to Tyler's room like he would at a jog. Tyler is less fortunate. Without a speedser's brain the ride is like being on a high end sports bike going full tilt down those same corridors somehow turning at the just the right moments to avoid a messy and painful crash.

Zooming through the door of Tyler's room, Tommy comes to a sudden stop with a pant. "Still alive back there?"

Twitch has posed:
"Holy crap..." Tyler is stunned by the sudden speed and deceleration, his mouth falling open in surprise at the last second before he slowly climbs down off of Tommy's back. "That was wicked, man." Then he's burying his face into the inside of an elbow to cough a whole bunch. Wiping his face on his sleeve he shakes his head and moves to sit down on his bed. As soon as his posterior hits the surface he falls backwards and lays still, "Ow. Thanks for the lift, bro, I really appreciate it." Without moving his head he reaches into his pocket to pull out his phone, "Do you have Josh's number? I'll shoot Andrea a text and see if she can come and bring him over."

Speed has posed:
Tommy grins, "No problem man, and yeah, superspeed has it's perks," he says frowning at just how much pain Tyler seems to be in.

"Josh's number? Nah, don't have it. But if he's on campus, I'll find him. Or, maybe Andrea has it? He called her helpline thing, they might have given her the number."

Twitch has posed:
"We still gotta try sparring some time. I'm quick enough to dodge bullets, you know," Tyler says as he swipes at his phone. With a frown on his face he says, "I don't know if she's near her phone. She might be practicing or something." His breathing is shallow so as not to further aggravate his injury. "If you can find Josh that would be awesome."

Speed has posed:
"We'll need to do that,," Tommy says before he nods. "I'll give you some privacy while I find Mutant Jesus."

Tommy salutes and zooms out the door to scour the campus for Josh.

Twitch has posed:
Laying flat on his back on his bed, Tyler looks at the phone in his hands. He double checks to make sure that the texts he sent forth to Andrea have gone through. He doesn't move much from his spot aside from checking his phone, the effort of doing so would cause him more pain than he's already in. Eventually he does tilt his head upwards to look at the door to his room to see if Tommy's back with Josh.

His room is pretty clean. Most of his clothes are still packed in a big duffel bag with the name of a gym on it. That means there hasn't been a chance for anything to accrue on the floor. There's not even any decorations on the walls yet.

Speed has posed:
Tommy hated showing off his powers, as though somehow running through the school at his full clip was somehow uncool. Today though, with Tyler hurt, he makes an exception. He zooms around the campus a few times until he finds Josh, wherever he happens to be and skidding to a stop shouts a quick, "Hey, new guy, we need your help again," and gives Tyler's room number before he's blurring away again.

A few seconds later, Tommy's back in Tyler's room without bothering to use the door, he just passes through the wall, "Okay, told Josh to get here, should be on his way."

Or so he hopes anyhow...

Elixir has posed:
Josh looked up from the table in the dining hall he was sitting at and blinked at Speed's sudden appearance, and equally sudden disappearance.

"This place is weird," he says to himself. He glances at the room number and is fortunate enough to find one of the staff nearby to ask where the rooms were. Then he makes his way as quickly as he can without running to the room number he was given and knocks. "Hey, it's Josh," he says, then comes in when the door is opened or someone calls for him to come in.

Twitch has posed:
"Thanks, bro. Did you just go through the wall or am I more messed up than I realized?" Tyler replies to Tommy, looking up just long enough to ascertain it's actually his buddy before laying his head back down. "I almost had my shoulder pulled out of the socket. I really gotta up my fight game."

At the knock on the door and the announcement that Josh was present Tyler opens his mouth and loudly calls out, "Come in." He tilts his head slightly to the side to see the door.

Speed has posed:
"What? I don't go through walls," Tommy deadpans to Tyler.

He's about to let him know that yes, he really did come through the wall when there's the knock on the door.

"That'll be him now," he says and opens the door. The thing about the wall can wait.

Elixir has posed:
Josh steps into the room and closes the door behind him. "Hey," he says seeing Tommy and then takes in Tyler on the bed.

"Holy shit. What'd you do, fall down the stairs?!" he asks coming over. "Seriously, you look like you got hit by a truck."

Twitch has posed:
His phone making a buzzing noise as it vibrates, Tyler continues texting on it. He coughs softly and then lets out a moan of pain, "Dammit. I'm pretty sure the rib's broken." When Tommy tells him he doesn't go through walls Tyler opens his eyes wider and says, "Oh man. Now I'm starting to get worried." Seeing that Josh is now present he says, "Hey dude." Struggling and wincing, he sits up a bit to get a better view, "We were sparring at around a hundred miles an hour and I took a spill." He attempts a shrug and has to squeeze his eyes shut to deal with the pain, "So if you could please try to do your healing thing I'd really appreciate it. I mean, I'd owe you big time. I don't really want anyone to find out about this so Tommy and I can stay out of trouble."

Speed has posed:
Tommy lifts his chin to Josh and closes the door behind him. "Which yes, we know, super dumb, but in our defense it sounded like a good idea at the time."

Tommy's phone buzzes too. He checks it and as he does he says, "So, all of this is covered under patient, mutant-healer confidentially right?" he lifts his head from the screen to smile at Josh.

He fires back a quick message and shakes his head. "You owe me big, Tyler," he crosses to the bed and shows him his phone

Andy >> What the fuck, man? You were fighting with Tyler and dropped him going at superspeeds? What the hell is wrong with you!

Tommy's reply reads:

Tommy >> Yep. I know I am dumb and an asshole. Sry.

Elixir has posed:
"Shit," Josh swears again, looking uncertain. "I can try, I don't really know how I did it last time," he says. He comes right up to Tyler and looks at him for a second, thinking back to healing Andrea and Rickie. He reaches down and puts a hand on Tyler's chest. "Yeah, it's really broken," Josh says of the rib. "I can feel it."

There is a golden glow and he feels the warmth again, going out through him and into Tyler. It continues until the wrong feeling he was getting from Tyler disappears.

Josh smiles as he straightens. "Yeah, of course, man," he says to Tommy. "I won't say anything."

Rage has posed:
There is a banging on the door from out front before it swings open, revealing an angry Andrea in a pair of low hanging pajama bottoms and a thin night shirt. She also has wolf slippers on that make an adorable squeaking noise when she steps on them. "The fuck is wrong with you two!?" She shouts, slamming the door behind her with a loud thump. "Josh, is he okay? Because he's not gonna be when I'm done with him."

Twitch has posed:
Tyler looks over at Tommy's phone and blinks a few times, shaking his head as far back and forth as it will go, "I'm sorry, dude. I'll help you out with anything you need." Sighing, he lays his head back down on the bed and allows Josh to do his thing. "As long as you give it a shot, dude, then I'll be happy..." he trails off as he feels himself start feeling better. "Whoa! That's it, man, keep doing that!" As he begins to feel better Tyler looks down at his body, then reaches up to touch his chin where it had been cut, feeling a scar there in place of the open wound. He successfully shrugs his shoulders and sits up the rest of the way, reaching to pat Josh on the shoulder and give it a squeeze, "That's amazing, man! I feel great. Exhausted, but..." Andrea enters! And Tyler is taken aback. "Hey Andrea." When he winces this time it's not with physical pain, "I think I'm okay, Josh took care of me. So no harm no foul."

Speed has posed:
Tommy nods, "We'll figure out a payment plan," he says with a grin.

More texts come through, and Tommy makes a face but he doesn't reply, he's too busy watching the healing. "That's awesome," he breathes before tilting his head to note the scar. "So, remember twenty guys with Uzis," he says before Andrea storms in squeeky slippers and all.

Tommy can't help but try to hide a snicker behind his hand. "Heya, Andy."

Elixir has posed:
Josh beams. "Hey, it was nothing, just glad it worked," he says, then turns as Andrea explodes into the room.

"It was nothing, he's fine now, don't worry," Josh gets out and does his best to smile reassuringly.

Rage has posed:
There is a glower upon Andrea's face as she stares at them, arms folding over her chest. "So, you two just started sparring, and Tommy thought to what, grab you and go a hundred miles an hour, followed by him accidentally dropping you, in which you got hurt, am I right?"

Twitch has posed:
"Yeah, twenty guys with Uzis. It's believable if you've seen me dodge bullets," says Tyler with a big smile on his face, clearly happy to be alive and feeling fine. With an upnod to Josh he says, "It wasn't nothing. I really appreciate you helping me out." He can even stand up without pain, so he does, reaching down to touch his chest where his rib broke and give it a little thump. "Damn, I feel good again." Then Andrea has to kill his mood with her questioning. The young man frowns at her, "We were being stupid. I'm sorry, there was no way to know I'd get hurt."

Speed has posed:
Tommy grins broadly, "Yeah, we're going to need to spar...again," he says adding the last for Josh's benefit.

Speaking of Josh, "Heh, I like your idea of nothing," he says to the healer. "Still, Tyler's right, that's two we owe you."

When Andrea starts in on the questions Tommy has his snickering under control. "Yeah, what Tyler said," Tommy explains. "Really, if I thought he'd get hurt, I wouldn't have done it."

Rage has posed:
"Really? You didn't think sparring at over a hundred miles an hour wouldn't have been a good fucking idea? What if he died, Tommy? Huh? You want to explain that one to Jean? Emma?" Andrea snaps at him with a growl in her voice. "We're here to learn how to control our powers so we don't hurt each other, or be a menace to society, and you two dipshits decided to do what? Try and create your own version of Jackass with mutant powers?" She throws her hands up in the air, then squeak walks her way back to the door, fuming.

Twitch has posed:
"Wait." Tyler says to Andrea, moving to follow her to the door. "We didn't know anyone would get hurt. I'm sorry we did it and I'm sorry you got upset but I didn't want to not tell you this happened." He licks his lips and sighs, "I'm just not used to having friends I can actually be myself around and not have to hold back when I fight."

Speed has posed:
Tommy's expression says it all when Tyler goes to stop Andrea, 'dude we almost survived this!', still he jumps in. "Hey, I was terrified when he fell, not just because Emma would literally kill me, but, because I thought my buddy was dead. Like you said, we're learning our powers, I've had superspeed for six years now, I forget that other people can't take a fall at 100mph and walk it off, like Tyler, never really cut loose around other people."

Rage has posed:
"It's basic fucking science, Tommy! You learn in driver's ed that you will get killed by being hit by a car traveling thirty five miles an hour if you cross the street in front of it, and that is /with/ the car hitting the brakes and decelerating out of forward momentum." Andrea says with a glower, then looks at Josh. "Did you bring him back to life? Was he dead when he came in here? You don't bounce your head off the street at over a hundred and survive it. physically/ impossible."/It's not /physically/ possible."/physically/ impossible." She says with a glower. "My dad is a surgeon for one of the largest hospitals in the Bay Area and trust me, I know /all/ about car accidents and what people's bodies go through. Did you have to bring him back?" She puts the healer on the spot now, blatantly ignoring Tyler and Tommy now as her arms fold.

Elixir has posed:
Josh raises his hands. "Uh, no, um, I mean, don't pull me into this. Mutant-healer confidentiality," he ventures and gives an apologetic smile and shrug of the shoulders."

Twitch has posed:
When he realizes his mistake Tyler briefly closes his eyes. When they open again he's looking at Andrea. Glancing between her and Tommy he says, "I wasn't dead. I've got superhuman reflexes and I had to learn how to fall for martial arts and to ride my motorcycle so I know how to hit the ground. All that happened was I cut up my chin, banged my head around, busted a rib and almost dislocated my shoulder." That's all. "I'm sorry, Andrea. I didn't mean to put you through this."

Rage has posed:
Giving a glower at Josh, Andrea's is cold as ice as she stares at him, then gives a tilt of her head to Tyler. She stares at him for a long moment, shifting her jaw to one side. "Fine." She says she turns and heads back to the door, yanking it open. "Fine. Good night then."

Elixir has posed:
Josh exhales a bit and his shoulders drop when Andrea turns to go. He raises an eyebrow at Tyler, giving him the once over. "I'm gonna go to bed," he says. "Try not to... Fall off your bike again, 'kay?"

Josh makes his way out and heads to his room.

Speed has posed:
"Yeah, he did a really good recovery," Tommy says off of Tyler's words.

"And I'm not his bike," Tommy adds to Josh's parting words.

"Anyhow, Andy, we didn't mean to hurt you, or each other, you should hang out, talk to Tyler. I'll just let myself out."

Rage has posed:
"I'm going to bed, I don't want to hang out with either of you two right now." Andrea calls over her shoulder to them as she follows Josh out the door. "You two just bro out and ride each other's bikes for all I care. I'm going to bed."

Twitch has posed:
"I'm sorry guys," Tyler says to Tommy and Andrea with a sad look on his face. As the young woman leaves he lets out another sigh, this one relieved, and looks to Tommy. He gives him a nod and a knowing look. "I think I should head to bed, too. It was good hanging out with you, but next time I'm going to try not to fall down so hard."

Speed has posed:
Tommy doesn't comment as Andrea departs.

When she's gone he nods to Tyler, "Yeah, should sleep too," he says before smirking. "Good plan, tuck and roll man, tuck and roll," he says lightly, before waving and adding. "She'll come around. Night."

Then Tommy is gone.
