The Wolf
Date of Scene: 08 July 2018
Location: Mansion Foyer
Synopsis: Professor X leads Ororo, Theresa and Josh on a journey to restore Andrea's mind.
Cast of Characters: Elixir, Storm, Siryn, Rage, Professor X

Elixir has posed:
The foyer is a mess. There is a huge pool of blood in the middle of the wooden floor. Streaks, handprints and footprints in blood have been trailed out of it different directions. The smell hangs sharp and fresh in the air.

The front door to the school is ajar and a Ferrari sits outside still running with its doors open.

Julie is ushering a blood soaked and shirtless Mason Steele into the Wellness Centre against his protests and closes the door behind her. Andrea is standing backed up towards one wall, with Storm standing between her and Mason as he is moved. Josh is standing to one side of Storm, arms out, as if coralling or forestalling a dangerous beast.

Storm has posed:
There is a lot going on: blood, memory loss, a feral mutant. If Ororo wasn't used to the drama that came with teaching teenage super-humans, she wouldn't know whether she is coming or going. However, the experienced instructor, alas, stands in front of a feral mutant to keep her from tearing a boy's throat from his neck. "It's okay, Andrea," Ororo says calmly, "we are going to help you."

Siryn has posed:
"What is going on?" Terry says as she comes down the stairs to see the line of blood towards the wellness center and some of the students being helf back. She follows, but at a distance...looking to Ororo with a question on her face, but unspoken. For now.

Rage has posed:
Snarling, Andrea's throat rumbles out in a more feral manner than human as she eyes Mason as he is led out. She looks as if she is itching to leap upon him, her fingers curled into what resembles claws. Her eyes whip back to Storm, curling her lip back to flash her pearly white teeth at her. "He broke her, he always breaks her and the dumb pup keeps crawling back to him. Pathetic." She spits out. "She could be so much more if he was just dead."

Professor X has posed:
Already knowing the disturbance that was happening in his mansion's wellness center, The Professor wheels himself down to the lower levels of the mansion to which he finds the blood trail, and a deep, foreboding sigh touches the elderly man's appearance. Nevertheless, he continues on.

That is, until he finds Andrea, With Storm, Theresa, and Josh all present. Eyes narrow, and Charles speaks. "Stand back, all of you." says the Professor as he continues forward, looking into the young girl's eyes.

"This will be me asking nicely to return Andrea to control of her own body and mind." Professor Xavier, always the pacifist, but if he has to resort to his awesome telepathic might to achieve a solution, he will. Of course he already knew whatever beast resided in her, that it was in control. Well, here's hoping for a peaceful and far less forceful solution.

Elixir has posed:
Josh hears the professor and breathes a sigh of relief. He backs off slowly, keeping his eyes on his friend, as the professor comes forward.

Storm has posed:
The snarling does not intimidate Ororo in the least. While she would not like to get bit and maimed, she knew what her last resort would have to be if the situation did not calm itself with conversation.

As Terry comes down the stairs, Ororo lifts a hand up to her, motioning for her to not come any closer. She doesn't want the feral to get any ideas.

About to respond to what the feral said, a familiar and commanding voice calls out behind her, and Ororo let off a breath of air. Relief. Doing as the Professor asks without question, Ororo steps to the side but keeps her blue eyes on the feral in front of them all.

"Careful, Professor. She's in a heightened emotional state."

Siryn has posed:
Terry nods to 'Ro and then looks to the Professor. "'ope you know what you're doin', Professor." She says before looking to Andrea.......and takes a deeep breath, before she lets it out slowly.....very...slowly.

Rage has posed:
Blood cakes one side of Andrea's face, with the rest of her clothes soaked. The rich scent of copper is in the air as her bare feet plods along the splotches of blood upon the floor. Her breathing is heavy and erratic, giving off signs of rage and fear. Her back is to the wall. She is feeling trapped. The wolf trapped in a girl's body continues to glare daggers at Storm before her eyes sweep to the bald one. "YOU ARE NOT MY ALPHA! BARE YOUR THROAT!" She roars over at him in a voice that is full of gravel. She drops down to all fours, which looks rather ridiculous for her, continuing to flash her teeth as she tries to focus on the shift, but it doesn't come. "Rrrrr... gggg..."

Professor X has posed:
The Professor nods appreciatively as Both Ororo and Josh back away as politely commanded, and he hears the subtle breaths of relief that come with his presence. Regardless, he is happy that, aside from Mason, no one else appears to be injured. Which means he arrived in time.

He doesn't even flinch when Andrea roars at him so ferally, so full of malice and ill intent. Even as she fell on all fours, the Professor did not show fear or intimidation. He does look on curiously as apparently the shifting won't work. Was Andrea resisting? It's very possible. But the Professor nods softly.

"I see. Then I will do what I must." and Andrea will feel the telepathic influence of the Professor in her head. Though it became clear he was forcefully trying to revert control back to Andrea herself, and not the beast who appears to have taken over her mind. In short, he's trying to fix this...while simultaneously attempting not to leave damage on the young girl's mind.

Elixir has posed:
"Andrea!" Josh exclaims despite himself, alarmed when she drops on all fours. "It's gonna be fine, come on back to us." he urges. He takes another couple of steps backward.

Storm has posed:
Reaching her arm over to cup Josh's shoulder, Ororo finally parts her gaze with the feral and looks to him. "The Professor will fix this," she says confidently. "It will just take time." He fixes everything.

Siryn has posed:
"'e's better at it than I am, Josh." Terry ways with a smile. "She's acts like a wolf.....or, at least...that's what me gut tells me." She looks to Storm, as if to say 'we'll talk about what happened....

Rage has posed:
Digging her fingers into the ground, Andrea gives a long arch of her back as she continues to snarl at them, her eyes on fire, full of hatred and anger at the group. She shifts left to right, scrambling about her limbs. As the Professor enters her mind, she gives a visible jolt, followed by a feral shaking of her head.

As he enters her mind, for a moment, there is only complete darkness, before it opens up into a huge forest full of tall, ancient trees and the fresh scent of dirt, rivers and pine needles. The sound of the woods during the night is all around him. The song of crickets can be heard, as well as the flickering lights of lightning bugs blinking in and out.

Professor X has posed:
Sorry everyone! Professor is extremely focused. Even as the beast inside Andrea's mind resists, the professor's mind dwarfs her own in terms of sheer telepathic power. With that in mind, Xavier is in the dream...and since he's in the mindscape, The Professor is sure to be able to use his legs to look more 'normal'. Nevertheless, the old man walks through the forest, calling out Andrea's name. "Andrea? Child, are you here?"

     Here's hoping she is...

Or the beast will be in for quite the event. Regardless, the Professor keeps calling out, walking through the forest, touching the trees...seems a very intricate mind is where he investigates.

Elixir has posed:
Josh runs a hand through his hair and immediately regrets it, streaking blond with red. He looks between Ororo and Terry. "I hope you're right. She had a hole in her brain, I, I, grew it back I /fixed/ it but geez, I mean, did I do it right?"

Rage has posed:
As the professor walks through the lush forest of dreams, he can hear what appears to be the laughter of young children whispering in and out of the treeline. Gentle, excited giggles and playful tauntings. This is perhaps one of the calmest, most gentle places one can be, despite the rage that carries on in the real world.

"Come on Mason, sing me another song. I love watching how your lips smile when you get really into it."

"Yeah? You like watching my lips, huh?"

The pair of voices, a lot younger than now can be heard whipping in and out of the treeline, followed by another giggle.

"Yeah, you know I do. I can't help it. I just... I love you."

There is pause before the young boy's cocky voice says in return, though softer, "I love you too, Andy."

Another few minutes and the Professor can see the source of the pair of voices. Two large Koi fish float through the air th size of Volkswagon Beatles, dip in and out of the air as they swim circles about each other. One is lightly colored pink while the other is a stunning blue.

Storm has posed:
"I don't know," Ororo says simply, honestly. "My calling is with nature."

Taking the feral's head shake as an indication that Charles was in her mind, Ororo relaxes a bit and looks up to Terry. "I think you are good to come down now, Terry, but remain vigilant." She didn't know what could happen.

Professor X has posed:
The Professor explored for a moment longer until he found those koi fish just swimmin' around in and out of the air as if it were water. Very curious that....but the koi fish's symbolism make this even more a unique situation. Nevertheless, after taking the time to create a barrier of sorts to help protect Andrea's mind, Ororo, Josh, and even Theresa would feel themselves being joined with Xavier's consciousness, as if invited to join the mindscape with him for a collaberative effort.

Needless tos ay, they might be surprised to see the Professor walking. Though he doesn't speak, he gestures to the Koi fish. "I believe I've found a pivotal memory of Andrea's. I believe of her time with Mason." he looks around further.

"While I've decided this was safe enough to bring you all here....remain on your guard. We cannot forget that another presence exists here, docile as it can be. I will protect you all, however. So do not fear." He says with a warm smile, like that of a grandfather.

Elixir has posed:
Josh is stunned and disoriented for a moment. He appears as himself, gold skin and all but with deep black flecking in the gold skin. His clothes are non descript. Once past the initial shock he nods to the Professor and looks around wonderingly.

Storm has posed:
Ororo looks around sharply as everything shifts in her mindscape. At the sound of Charles' voice, she settles, but the uneasiness never fades. She hates when telepaths do that. "Is it a bad memory, Charles?" Ororo asks, concern filling her mental voice, which is almost identical to her physical one.

Rage has posed:
As the three other presences make themselves known to Andrea's mindscape, the two large koi fish continue to swim around each other in circles, a dance so to speak as they glance into each other's eyes. As they move, they grow closer, and closer, and closer, as if they were magnetic forces.

"I will always love you Mason. No matter what."

"I like how that sounds. You're my girl."

As they swim closer to each other, the pair of large car sized fish look as if they are about to kiss, when out of the darkness a pair of glowing eyes is seen, followed by a powerfully large tiger shark the size of a semi dart out from the trees, snapping it's jaws around the pink fish. There is a firm shake of the head as the pink fish blurbles out in panic before it grows still. A sneer crosses over the shark's face as it stares at the blue koi.

"What did I tell you about her, Mason? She is too much of a distraction for you! Now go back to your music and work."

There is panic in the blue fish's eyes for a moment before a soft sigh bubbles past it's fishy lips and then floats off into the trees in defeat.

".. Yes mom."

Professor X has posed:
Professor Xavier watches the scene play out before them, looking to Ororo sadly. "It is. But one with heavily mixed emotions." He watches the scene continue to be played out before he reaches out with his mind, as if to see if he could find some sort of metaphysical Andrea to see if she was simply lost...or even there at all.

He focuses...intensely. As if he was TRYING to find the girl, which he has been all along. <<Andrea, can you hear my voice?>>

Elixir has posed:
"Professor, Mason's mom was a telepath, and messed with her head... to make her think Mason cheated on her. I doubt whatever she did was ever /undone/... " he says quietly. He eyes the shark with concern as if it may attack.

Storm has posed:
Surveying the mental scene before them, Ororo looks to Josh as he speaks. "How do you know this?" she asks, curiously. She then looks to Charles.

Siryn has posed:
Theresa Cassidy looks over to Josh and tilts her head. "that's a good question, 'Ro. 'ow?" She says peering at Josh.

Rage has posed:
The large tiger shark and the blue fish swims away together through the woods, though the blue fish looks mildly depressed and glows even more blue. Once they leave, they are alone in the forest once more. While they talk amongst each other, no voice answers Charles' call, but a long, pained howl of a wolf in the far distance. The howl causes the landscape about them to tremble and shake for a few moments, cracks appearing along the ground beneath them as fissures of hot steam rushes upwards about their ankles before it calms.

Professor X has posed:
Xavier listens lightly to Joshua as he speaks. "I see...." he doesn't question how he knows it, only that he does. He looks to Ororo but doesn't speak, instead continuing to step along the way. Though as the Howl ripples throug hthe landscape, the Professor's destination is clear. "The way is presented...follow the howling." The Professor walks...man, people might not get used to that... in accordance t othe sound of the pained howling, fully aware that these are simply memories, and that they have no effect on what has already happened.

Though...truthfully, The Professor was already going to have a discussion with Mason about his relationship with Andrea, but this might be something else he'll have to fix at some point.

Elixir has posed:
"Whoa!"

Josh spreads out his arms as the ground rumbles, wide eyed. When it stops he pauses for a moment as if expecting more, then straightens up. He hastens to catch up with the Professor as he replies to Ororo and Theresa.

"She told me," he says. "She said Mason's mom did it to keep them apart, and like, they hate each other. And then she wrote some song, and Mason almost killed himself over it, and it's just a mess. But she's still like, totally in love with him." Josh jumps over one of the fissures. "Mason warned me his mom was a telepath, too. Said she'd used her powers to push his career, and that she'd go through my head if we ever met."

Storm has posed:
Listening as the group began walking, Ororo shook her head. Drama!

Siryn has posed:
Terry, is, thankfully, able to fly. Once she floats to a more stable platform, she looks to Xavier. "How much further, Professor?" She says she looks to Ororo. "bein' inside of a girl's mind is bad.

Rage has posed:
The world seems to go on and on and on. In the mindscape, there is no real sense of time. It could be five minutes, it could be five years. The woods grow darker and darker as they trek onwards, spying more and more fragmented scenes of Andrea's life here and there. There's a pair of foxes that represent her family, talking about how proud they are of her success, though a bit of sadness from her mother's voice as she is deployed across seas again for the military. There's another scene of a large turtle the size of a mountain, spouting odd poetry here and there. The first lyrics of her hit song: Backstabber.

The journey though doesn't go on for too much longer as they reach what seems to be a large Native American statue with three animal heads carved into the stone. A wolf. An Eagle. A Bear. At the bottom of it is a large cage where a pure black wolf with a splotch of white upon it's chest rests, slumped to the side with a heavy amount of blood near it's head.

Siryn has posed:
"ah can't see the trees through the forest." Terry quips as they continue to walk. "It's a zoo in 'ere."

Professor X has posed:
Xavier continues to walk, even as Theresa happens to fly. "Not far." is all he says back to her, though giving a beautifully warm smile. "Don't worry, young one." Though nevertheless, Charles turns his head back to Josh. "I will have words with Mason, and if possible, his mother." Charles said, clearly angered that a mother would //dare// use her gift to both torment and use her sons career to her own benefit....even if she had the best intentions in mind, this was wrong.

Though as they arrive at the cage and the statue, Charles kneels down next to the cage, putting his hand on it. "...Andrea, is that you?" he asks the creature trapped in the cage. In this instance, 'mind games' is a very serious deal for telepathically-inclined individuals. It could be a trick. Or a mirage.

Elixir has posed:
Josh smiles at first when he sees the wolf then his brow furrows. He jogs after the Professor and crouches beside him, but keeps his tongue. Barely. He glances up at the statues, then back at the caged animal, concern clear on his face.

Storm has posed:
Ororo would normally grin at Terry's comment if the situation did not make her uneasy. She did not like being in other people's minds; she did not like telepathy in general, because there are too many ways it can be miscontrude.

Watching her steps and keeping her distance with the others, Ororo's cautious spirit is at the fore-front of her mind currently. As open as a mind can be, she still feels closed up, as if the walls are ready to inch closer at any minute. The calmness in her face is simply a mask, a fortified one at that.

Reaching the statue and the wolf inside a cage, Ororo just knows the connection is inevitable. Then again, telepathy. "Careful," she warns.

Rage has posed:
Once Charles puts his hand on the cage and speaks, the wolf slowly blinks her golden eyes open, followed by a loud, painful whine. She tilts her head forward, a gaping wound in the side of it as she stares wetly at the group of people surrounding her. Her ears wilt backwards, then drops her muzzle back down to her paws. The cage glows brightly for a moment at the touch before it flickers away back to cold iron. << Hello. >> It is Andrea's voice coming from the wolf, despite lying still.

Professor X has posed:
Xavier looks to the Wolf even as Josh rushes to his side. Xavier doesn't speak for a moment before he smiles. "Are you alright, Andrea? Do you know who we are?" now he's seeing how bad the damage is. Sure, the body is an easy thing to fix if you have the power for it...but the mind? The mind could be irreparably shattered...or at least 'irreparably' to anyone but Charles Xavier. That's what he checks for and analyzes for at present.

At Storm's comment, Xavier gives a small nod to her in a 'don't worry, I have this' kind of way. This was the time of the hour, was it not?

Elixir has posed:
Josh glances worriedly at the Professor but takes some comfort and queue from his demeanour. He turns his attention back to Andrea and smiles for her, but can't hide his concern.

Siryn has posed:
Theresa Cassidy keeps back and watches professor X do his work. "She'll be okay..."

Storm has posed:
The Professor's nod in Ororo's direction is... comforting to say the least. He is someone that she trusts with her life, and knows that he would go above and beyond for his students and staff. This is also his realm of expertise.

Ororo stands at a distance, continuing to watch the scene unravel.

Rage has posed:
The wolf lifts her head from her paws as blood continues to drip down the side of her skull. << Yes. I know who you are. >> She says as her voice floats through the air around them. << I am asleep. But my head hurts. Why does my head hurt? >> She asks, swiveling her eyes from one to the other before they land on Josh. << It hurts to dream. They are not good dreams. The dreams are bad. >>

Professor X has posed:
Xavier nods very softly then to Andrea. "I know it hurts. I know it's painful. But I'm going to try to put your mind back together. Unfortunately, you suffered a fatal wound...and young Joshua was able to heal the physical damage..but now what needs to be fixed is the mental." he informs Andrea, still remaining outside of the cage...just in case unlocking the cage door is a catalyst. But now the Professor starts to focus.

and attempt to repair the damage that shattered the mind.

Siryn has posed:
Theresa stays off to the side. "And hopefully repair the damage, not just the physical stuff, but other things too."

Elixir has posed:
Josh puts a hands against the cage bars, he nods when the Professor explains. "I'm sorry the dreams are bad, but we're here to help, okay?"

Storm has posed:
Ororo manuevers to the side of the two men, enough where Andrea is able to see her. She gives the little wolf a concerned once-over, just to let her know she is there as support. "Be bright," Ororo lips in her direction.

Rage has posed:
As the Professor begins to work his magic, the locks to the cage door pop open, washing the world into a beautiful morning, instead of the pitch black night. It seems that no matter how much psychic damage is done to her, the world's greatest telepath will barely have any struggle of moving the pieces about. The wound upon the wolf's head begins to close, causing the fluffy beast to give a visible head shake. There's a few blinks of the eyes and the wolf starts to look around. There is a snarl, then she bolts out of the cage as her body begins to ripple upwards into a large, vehicle sized wolf. Arching her back, she lets out a loud howl as the world trembles for a few moments before it comes to a rest. With an indignant sniff, she starts off through the woods. << Have your pup back. But know this, she is mine. >>

Siryn has posed:
Theresa Cassidy says, "And if you take her by force.....I'll scream." And those who don't know Terry...it'll sound like a silly, girlish threat. Those who DO know Terry....know it's a very serious threat indeed."

Professor X has posed:
As the Professor finishes his work, Xavier steps aside and gestures Josh to follow as the beast wolf charges off into the sunset. With a small sigh, he looks to Josh, Ororo and Theresa. "Thank you all for accompanying me. But our work here, for now, is finished." Then he looks after the wolf. <<We'll see.>> Charles sends back.

Soon enough, he would examine the rest of the state of the mind, albeit even though he sends Josh Ororo and Theresa back into the real, normal world.

When he confirms all is well again, The Professor ends his own connection as well, back in his wheelchair, in the School. A breath escaping his mouth.

Siryn has posed:
Terry lets out a sigh as she returns to her body....and her throat thrums a bit as she reacclimitized herself with her body. She then coughs. "Glad to be back here."

Rage has posed:
There is a chuckle from the wolf as she pauses to look over her shoulder at Siryn. << You will scream with my teeth around your throat, for I will be the /last/ thing you ever see. Whelp. >> Andrea may have a ton of issues rolling about in her head in regards to her great protector that backseat drives half of her life. As the wolf disappears into the woods, there is a rush of darkness, followed by the girl's eyes reopening on the floor of the Wellness Center. She gives a few blinks, her voice calling out, "Please, you know I don't want to get in your pants, I love you!" She pauses, then starts to look around in confusion. "... Um..."

Storm has posed:
"Who do you love, Andrea?" Ororo asks, smiling. She stood nearby back in the real world. "Welcome back."
