Synopsis: Storm, Theresa and Jubilee interrogate their prisoners from the NeoGen raid. But just what is in those cases?
Cast of Characters: Donald Pierce, Storm, Jubilee, Siryn

Donald Pierce has posed:
The security area is quiet. Medical assistance has long since been given to the prisoners, who were searched and given new clothes to wear before being lodged separately. Their cell phones and wallets are on the table, along with several items recovered from the SUV Tyler drove. There is a powerful radio jammer unit. A handheld cellular radio. Two Glocks, both since unloaded and locked. And of course, the three large Pelican cases with prominent NeoGen markings on them.

A search through the wallets of the two captured men gives some information. The driver is Antonio Rossi, a 30 year old man who indeed has short, crew cut red hair. He is muscular and lean in that military kind of way. His driver's licence, if it is real, says he is from out of state; Michigan. The wallet of the second man identified him as Michael Biddlecombe. He had a NeoGen pass card in his wallet that had his picture on it, identifying him as Dr. Biddlecombe. He is in his late forties, with brown hair and sharp widow's peak. He wears somewhat fashionable glasses.

Both are asleep.

Storm has posed:
Normally, Ororo would have been in bed licking her wounds from yesterday's turn of chaotic events. She is, instead, gathering a team together and debriefing them on her findings, including the cases and both prisoners from the scene of the crime. Ororo walks with a brisk pace, passing manilla folders for Jubilee and Terry to go over. Inside is information about both men, gathered from their personal documents as well as from other sources.

"More than a dozen innocent lives were taken, and there are three times that amount injured," Ororo says, rounding a corner of the sub-basement. "We need to figure out what these idiots were up to and what is in those cases. Got it?" She looks back to both of them for confirmation as they reach the first jail cell. "This one is Antonio Rossi. Jubilee, I want you to interrogate him."

Jubilee has posed:
" Good call, Boss. Straight to the torture." Jubilee peruses the file that Ororo hands her. "I'll crack this bad egg like a walnut. Or, y'know, an egg." Then she furrows her brow. "Oh God he's a ginger...my immortal soul is in danger here..."

Siryn has posed:
Terry takes the manilla folder and glances at it as 'Ro gives out orders. "I must've missed somethin' when I want back to Muir Island to visit Moira." She says as she looks to Jubilee. "Have somethin' against ginger's Jubes?"

Storm has posed:
Ororo's expression is serious and intense, not faltering even as Jubilee displays her characteristic jovial demeanor; bright blue eyes focus on the man inside, watching him as he sleeps. "He is not going to be easy to crack, I imagine," Ororo offers. "He was one of the drivers, but I'm sure he also works as a bodyguard in some degree. Don't get careless, and focus on getting info."

"Terry," Ororo continues, walking forward to the next cell. "You will be interrogating Mr. Biddlecombe." She looks to the instructor at this moment. "He actually works for Neogen and has valuable information about what those cases are. Do /not/ be afraid to do what is necessary to get it." Ororo's tone is stern and confident, slightly topped with resentment.

"I will stay on the outside of the cells and intervene shortly after you've set a tone," Ororo says. She enters a code on each of the cell's panels and they come ajar just enough for both of them to enter. "Let's get started, shall we?"

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee startles at Terry's words. "O-oh no, I am --I'm fond of red heads. I mean they're god's little torches, to light the way in a world of darkness." Jubilee hops to tousle Terry's hair."

Don't worry, 'Ro, when have I ever failed ya before?" Jubilee's smile is bright, and fantastically confident.

Siryn has posed:
"remember that, Jubes....you don't want me to raise me voice." Terry says as she slides into the cell with the doctor. She tilts her head and lightly jostles the doctor. 'Wake up, Doctor." She says in a soft yet caring tone. What the doctor doesn't hear is that she's subtly altering her voice patterns so the doctor will be hypnotized by her voice, and simple improve his mood towards them, so he'll give the information willingly.

Donald Pierce has posed:
Antonio is roused by the sound of someone near his cell when Jubilee approaches. He swings his legs off the bench and stands up. He is easily six foot. The right side of his face is swollen and bruised. Even so, he manages to leer at Jubilee through his mishappen face.

"Who're you supposed t' be? My conjugal visit?" he asks, looking her over.

Michael startles when Terry wakes him. He sits bolt upright, "Oh thank God," he says and pushes his glasses up his nose. "Is Arissa here? Is she okay?" he asks urgently, looking at Terry intently. "Where is she?" he demands.

Siryn has posed:
"She's fine, but she's in the infirmary." Terry lies like a rug, but the subtle alterations of her voice continues. "No you can't see her yet. When she's out of critical, you'll be able to see her. And I don't know what happened to her." She prefers doing interrogations this way...rather than turning someone's head into putty.

Storm has posed:
Ororo takes a couple of steps back from the cells in order to witness them both. Her attention began with Antonio, watching as he stood to his full height. Resisting the urge to intervene and allow Jubilee to do her job, Ororo simply releases a breath of frustrated air.

Her attention shifts to the other prisioner, Michael, as he stirs and almost immediately begins giving demands. Ororo mentally catalogs the name 'Arissa' for her research afterwards.

Jubilee has posed:
"Yup, they said you'd probably need a hard ass, and mine ' pretty darn firm." Jubilee is unfazed by his comment and turns a chair around to sit on it backwards facing him. "Dude' I'm gonna level with ya. Redheads arent really my type. Don't tell the one out there, though. She's one scary ginger. I mean me? I make sparkles. This chick can seriously screw you up. So any information you can gimme makes ME a hero, and keeps you from havin' you meet her. She melts minds, seriously. And I'm assumin' you're fond of yers."

Donald Pierce has posed:
Antonio looks amused and walks up to the bars. "So it's a two fer?" he says with a smirk. "Look, I dunno who the hell you are or where this is, but you can go fuck yourself."

In the other cell, Michael's eyes go wide. He looks panicked. He reaches out to grab Terry by the arm. "WHAT?! You damaged her?! Are you insane? You have to take me to her!"

Storm has posed:
Ororo looks over to the other cell as the man swears, but her attention easily darts back to Michael, whose panic does not go unnoticed. "Damaged her?" she repeats in a whisper, her eyes squinting slightly. Ororo does not think the two of them are talking about the same thing, at that point. Again, she looks to intervene when he reaches out for Terry's arm, but Ororo resists the urge.

Jubilee has posed:
"Woosh...well,ya hear the guy screamin' next door? Well HE'S meetin' the redhead. I could go get her if ya want, but it isn't really gonna be yer lucky day, if ya meet her." Jubilee pulls a fifty cent piece from her pocket and holds it in her open palm. "Speaking of luck...how bout we flip to see whether ya spill or not?" Jubilee flips the coin up in the air, then with a flawless sleight of hand, the coin is replaced in her hand by a golf ball-sized ball of roiling blue plasma that fires directly toward his face, stopping just short by an inch and hovering in front of his eyes and nose. The heat from the plasmoid is intense and threatening. "I'm at about a three here. But I can turn it up, if we need to."

Siryn has posed:
Terry tries to remain calm as Michael grabs her on the arm. "We haven't damaged her, but....please let me go." She says as she actually pushes his hand off of her arm. "And perhaps you didn't hear me. You cannot see her right now." Her voice is still searching for that particular range where she can relax him.

Donald Pierce has posed:
Antonio flinches as the ball of plasma comes at his face, raising an arm protectively.

"Jesus, what the... You /freak/! Get that thing outta my face!" he shouts at Jubilee.

"I... I'm sorry, I just, it's just, she must be /intact/, she's precious, don't you understand?" Michael says, letting go of Terry's arm. His shoulders slump some and his breathing slows.

Siryn has posed:
"Of course she must be intact. But, tell me....why is Arissa so important?" Terry says as she gently waves 'Ro in. It seems she has found the frequency she's looking for. "Please, if you tell me everything, we're in a better position to help."

Jubilee has posed:
"Aww I thought you would enjoy a magic show. what's your cup of tea? I can do a puppet show, too, but I'd have to turn you into a puppet first." It's becoming increasingly clear that the redhead next door might not be the crazy one. "Thing is, Antonio...can I call you Antonio? Y'see, Antonio, you're in a /really/ good spot. Cause where you are, there's not a boss anywhere that can find or hurt ya for lettin' yerself get caught. Especially with all the evidence we have now. If the police had ya? Pff, you'd be sittin' in a cell with Bad Boy Bubba right now, bored outta your mind, and wishin' for THIS conjugal visit instead of that one. Besides, it's boring just sittin' to see who gets to ya first. And I'm anything but boring.

"Help a girl out, won't ya? I dunno why they keep sticking me with this whole questioning gig, except that I always get what I want. But up till I start itchin' and snap? It's just one disappointment after the next. I dunno what happens when I snap, I never remember. Wish I could, that must be wild." Jubilee scratches her arm nonchalantly.

Storm has posed:
"And you will need all the help you can get, after what the public just endured," Ororo says, entering the cell and closing it behind her. She sits at the table and crosses her legs, looking to the doctor intensely. "So, please, indulge us, Mr. Biddlecombe. What was the goal yesterday?"

Donald Pierce has posed:
Antonio looks distinctly uncomfortable, and backs away further both arms up as if he thinks he is going to bat away the plasma ball if it comes after him again. HUMANITY is tattooed across his left forearm. "What the hell are you talking about, are you insane? I was just a driver, okay? I didn't do anything." He bumps back against the bench on the far wall. "It was just a job!"

"The goal?" Michael asks looking at Storm with vague, dreamy confusion. "To get Arissa out, of course. To the Bishop. He is going to let us be free. I have so much work to do... But they were stopping me. Isn't that ridiculous?"

Storm has posed:
There are many keywords that Ororo catches while Michael speaks. She does not, however, understand what many of them mean - in his context of things. "But, who is the Bishop, and where is he freeing you from?" Ororo asks, her interest peaking. Despite the confusion, she plays his hand in any effort to get info.

Jubilee has posed:
"Insane?" Jubilee shakes her head, looking hurt. "Why does everybody always ask me that?"She is scratching her other arm ,now, more intensely, as she rises and walks around her chair to approach him. Her attire is almost militaristic. Black cargo pants and boots. A black tanktop and leather jacket. She reaches up and adjusts the brass goggles atop her head as the overhead lights reflect off the welding glass.

"Just a driver, man that SUCKS because this is way more serious than a driver ought to be in. I can help you, but ya gotta tell me what you know." Jubilee claws incessantly at her throat, leaving red marks with her nails.

Donald Pierce has posed:
"What the /fuck/?" Antonio says watching Jubilee warily. "I was just 'sposed to drive those freaks and the doctor to NeoGen, and then drive them into Newark, 'kay? Some guys from church hooked me up with the gig, I didn't know it was gonna be World War III!"

Michael cocks his head slightly. "I don't know the Bishop, do you?" he asks curiously, in his dreamlike, detached way. "But he paid me, he was going to pay to do my work properly. Not like at NeoGen," he shakes his head. "They were /scared/, they didn't understand. Arissa... She is new life. But they said I couldn't make more. Isn't that sad? Isn't that silly?"

Storm has posed:
"Possibly," Ororo answers, playing into the hypnotic effects Terry's powers are providing. "Can you describe him to me? Maybe it will jog our memories."

Jubilee has posed:
"Church..." Jubilee says, calmly and matter-of-factly, as she reaches up and pulls down her goggles over her eyes. "What were ya takin' those 'freaks' to Newark for? Where were you gonna drop them?" She whimpers a little as she scratches her cheek, her hands starting to tremble. As they do, the plasma ball begins to quiver in front of him.

Donald Pierce has posed:
"Some parking lot! Fairmont and 16th, someone was going to meet us there!" He says, eyes going between the mad woman and plasma ball. He licks his lips "I picked 'em up in freaksville, the two emo punk looking muties and the doctor, and that's all I know! Wait for the call, do the thing!" His voice has been steadily rising in pitch.

"I don't know, I have never met him. He always sent those activists to talk to me... You know, the ones in the news all the time. Freedom of Humanity," he says dismissively. "I was going to meet him though, with Arissa," Michael says with a nod.

Storm has posed:
"Friends of Humanity," Ororo corrects. A hypothesis forms at the group's mention, and she remembers the men that fought against them - against her - the day before. She remembers how unnatural his head turned after her attack.

Legs uncross, and Ororo leans forward, placing her arms against the table. She stares deeply into the man's eyes, indicating that she was serious. "My next question is important, doctor," Ororo begins, "What can Arissa do?"

Jubilee has posed:
"Who set it up for you? I want his name..." Jubilee's voice is practically a growl now, teetering on a roar. "He set you up all right...walked you right into a trap..." Jubilee's hands tremble harder, as the plasma ball seems to be losing its cohesive nature. Little pink-tinged blue arcs reach out toward his face.

Donald Pierce has posed:
"Jesus... You crazy bitch!" Antonio shouts, backed up agains the wall and turning his face away from the plasma ball. "Chet, it was Chet, his number's in my phone!"

Michael smiles dreamily, his eyes dance. "Everything, but better than you or I. She's /alive/, and so sweet...innocent." his face darkens a bit. "Is she okay? Is she damaged?"

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee reaches up to lift her goggles a bit so she can see his face. The welding glass had rendered her so blind, she could only orient on the plasma ball that she could see. She gauges his eyes for a moment, then stops trembling. Settling the goggles atop her head, the plasmoid bursts into a tiny fanfare of harmless pink sparkles that zip back to her hands. "Now was that so /hard/ ?? Seriously, though. You should see your face." She imitates his horrified expression with surprising accuracy, and bursts into a bout of bright giggles. "Chet. Sounds about right," she says, nodding. "Think I saw that on the list of top douchebag names on the Internet like ten years ago, give or take." She grins, flouncing over to hug his undoubtedly tensed form. "Lighten up, I told ya I just make sparkles...So how bout that conjugal visit now?" she asks, wiggling her brows.

Storm has posed:
A sentient weapon? This is what Ororo gains from placing several pieces of information together. It makes the most sense, considering the distraction the heavy artillery provided during the attacks. Releasing another breath of air, as Michael worries over Arissa, Ororo pushes her chair back and stands.

"/She/ will be okay," Ororo says, "And you will get to see her soon. Thank you, doctor. I will have more information for you shortly. Until then, please make yourself at home." Entering a code on a nearby panel, the cell door opens for Ororo and it closes as soon as she exits, with Terry in tow.

Maneuvering to the other cell, Ororo knocks against it, indicating time is up.

Donald Pierce has posed:
Antonio looks stunned, completely uncomprehending. He tries to shun away when Jubilee comes to hug him, but there is nowhere to go. So he just looks down at the diminuitive X'er like she was an alien with at least three heads.

"Wha... I... You actually wanna do it?" Antonio asks, completely befuddled.

"Yes... thank you... Goodbye..." Michael says.

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee smiles as she steps back, shaking her head slowly. "Not a chance in hell, but thanks for playing! Here's our host to tell you what you've won!" Jubilee enters the code and swings open the door, gesturing grandly to Ororo like one of Barker's Beauties.

Storm has posed:
The gesture gets a quizical look from Ororo. "I take it things went well?"

Donald Pierce has posed:
Antonio just stands in the far corner of his cell gaping incomprehendingly. Michael sits quietly on his bench.

Jubilee has posed:
"Piece of cake, 'Ro. I got all /he/ had. Wasn't much, but we've got a lead. For what it's worth, when time permits, let it be recorded that he wanted to do depraved things with me." Jubilee turns back to Antonio, hands on her hips. "I get my kicks /above/ the waist, thank you very much." Then, back to Ororo, "He's shaken, not stirred."

Storm has posed:
"You are a weird girl, you know that?" Ororo asks, shaking her head. She leads them to Hank's Lab where they will combine their collected data and, hopefully, get a chance to speak with the genius-level mutant about 'Arissa.'
